Hotel was good services sucj as cleaning, foods and so on except paymemt currency. they signed on us and mxn pesso but accept only mxn pesso. it is not clear. there's no mentioned mxn only. thw worst thing is not about hotel service. trip central didn't quick response about flight cancel due to snow storm. I understood the situation but I lost almost 2 days. my departue was jan 26 8:30 am. actual depatrue was jan 27 aroumd 1pm even 1 stop at Montreal. your agent suggested it might be extend one day, not my request. he said it could be accepted by hotel or denied. it took 2 to 3 business day. I umderstood too. but follow up it was accepted or denied until saturday night. so terrible follow up

Buffets especially breakfast great. Rooms slightly outdated and there wasn't a chest of drawers to store clothes. Grounds and facilities great and very friendly staff. A la carte could be hit and miss. Would have liked a better understanding of ability to access other connected resort beyond use of the pools. Extremely clean everywhere and had lots of amenities for adults and kids.

This was my fourth time here. They have beautiful and well-maintained grounds, as well as friendly and attentive staff, and a great food selection. Overall a wonderful resort with lots to see and do. I highly recommend this resort for both families and anybody just looking to have a great time.

Spent a wonderful week at the Iberostar Waves Paraiso Beach. Beautiful, lush well-maintained property. Service, food, beverages were all very good. Beautiful beach, clean pool. Only issue was the music at the party pool was way too loud. We could have sat at other area's but would have missed all the pool games and entertainment.

We have been 7 times to iberostar parisio beach, but due to the changes in restaurant booking procedures, pushy concierge to attend members recruitment, decrease in amenities, poorer entertainment theatre programs and overall lack of organization this time, we will not be returning.

We just got back from a week at this resort (Feb 4th - 11th, 2025) and really enjoyed our stay there. We’ve been to all inclusive in Mexico at least 20 times but this one stood out for us - we really enjoyed it. BUT: Two things turned us off somewhat. The area around the pool was pretty noisy with loud music and games the entire day. Secondly, to get a lounge chair on the beach requires you to get out there before 8 am else you’re out of luck. The beach I would give a 4.5/5, the pool 3/5. Our room was a little dated but acceptable. Bed was quite comfortable. Very good selection at the buffets.

Just came back from a pre-Christmas Mexico trip that will be hard to top. The resort was fantastic, the food was excellent, the weather and beach was great. The key item though was the attention paid by the staff. There were initially a couple of issues with the room which were addressed but we were still in two separate non-adjoined rooms. Maria at the front desk kept track, and followed up the next day by offering much larger adjoining rooms for a small upgrade cost. This allowed the whole family to be together and also have separate spaces critical with 3 teenagers for the best experience. I have been to many good resorts over the years but Iberostar Waves Paraiso Beach was by far the best because of the quality of the resort but much more because of the quality of the service.

As outlined in most of reviews I read, the following are rated by my standards of an All Inclusive Week: Property: excellent maintained and beautiful. Pool: Large and a great feature of the resort. Pool chairs were a problem for only half of the week. Food: Average. Buffet was very similar but did have a good variety of items. Went to the Italian for dinner one night, it was terrible. Went to the Smoke house one night it was very good. Buffet did have good service staff every time we went. Tipping does help as we did. Towel exchange: Very good system and fast. Beach: Very good compared to most Mayan beaches. Value for the week: Below my expectations. I was here back in 2018 and I do believe the resort offerings have gone downhill. Room: Good. Dated but clean. Everything worked but its time to do some renovations. Check in/out: Great. Arrived late so were the only ones that checked in. Check out was very easy and fast. Concierge: Horrible. It reminded me of the time share bandits that usually hound you at the Cancun Airport. Must be on a commission or have quotas in the job. Very unprofessional for the Iberostar chain. Never really understood me when i indicated I wasn't interested. Shops: Pricing was ridiculous. Not sure why but it seemed that everything was overpriced and not of great value. I looked at a shirt and felt that the price was 4 times more than what it was worth. I did notice that suntan lotion was totally stupid in price. Make sure you bring more than what you need. Staff: Pool entertainers were great, front desk great and room cleaning was also great. I guess my only concern is a disappointment with Management. I really didn't feel like a valued Customer. No plans to go back to this resort. I might give Iberostar another chance down the road.

It’s an awesome resort . Everything was perfect. The staff were very friendly and professional. The rooms were very clean. The buffets were very good . We had a lot of choices . Food were very tasteful.The restaurants “A la carte “were very good . The entertainment staff was amazing . We had an incredible just dance show on Friday night . We also Enjoyed the landscaping. Beautiful plants . We will come back for sure .

Great hotel. Very well maintained by a friendly staff, with very nice rooms. The grounds were spectacular with peacocks, flamingos, iguanas and coatis roaming around and entertaining us. The a la Carte restaurant food was great and the buffet was well above average. Lots of pool side entertainment and a great beach as well. You will stay in shape walking as it is a long way from lobby to pools and beach.

The grounds beautiful at night. The animals are amazing. The staff was great, very good hotel. If you have allergies they look after you Ten Out of ten. The rooms were kept clean every day, the food lots. Overall it was a very good trip ps not recommended if you are a smoker.

Had the pleasure of vacationing at the Iberostar in Myan Riveria Mexico What a lovely resort the ground are stunning both at daytime and night time Plenty of wildlife to see Hawks being trained through out the resort Beautiful Peacocks Flamingos Parrots lots of little creatures very amazing!! To see everything The Pools are all lovely easy to enter by walking in or stairs They have a foam party every Sat The rooms are clean spacious Had lots of hot water for 2 weeks toilet worked excellent never any problems everywhere you went all the bathrooms were kept clean even at pool and beach always enough paper I was impressed The food was always good My sister has an egg Allergy they had a chef who met her at every meal she had they took the time to make things for her to eat shout out to Christian& Abbigail Two wonderful caring chefs Our first night there we got in late at night our greetings were from Antonio(Tony) we were very impressed by his reception to us The resort is very large lots of walking but good for you there are shuttles that fo come around every ten minutes that you can go anywhere they have a great shopping centre in the square but expensive but you can go for coffee donuts icecream and crepes, hamburg, fries, tacos Barritos, beers Tequila is poured all the time at all the bars but look out Tequilas makes you hit the floor with too many of them The E locate restaurants are all good Japanese they cook in front of you with a great performance Mediterranean was my favorite had a steak Brazillian delicious so much food Italian was good The smokehouse was mmm good all in all I give the resort 9 out of 10 have no complaints Jimmy hosted bingo everyday had fun doing that the Activity people very good Superbowl feast was Awesome All I can say is thank you to everyone who works at Iberostar from the gardeners to the Lady who scooped our icecream everyday our maid Martinna room 3847 was are room Great Vacation

As a repeat guest (been 5 times) we found the resort is now pushing very hard on guests to purchase memberships. Prices have gone up but service has decreased. Buffet menus are primarily Mexican food with fewer options. Many amenities not available for non-members. Entertainment now has a cost.

The hotel was exactly what I was looking for. It was very large but spread out so it was low density and not crowded. It had lots of greenery and wild animals and lantern lit pathways, so beautiful ambience. We went at the beginning of January so it was still quite humid but the air conditioning in our room worked great for when we needed to escape the heat. The food was great but I didn't notice a huge difference from the la carte and the buffet. Our room was very close to the theatre and buffet so it was pretty loud, I'd like to choose our room if we go again. The descriptions of what is offered is very minimal so we had lots of questions when we got there but they were all answered adequately. The entertainment was great and they always had something fun for guests to do. Beach was also clean but you had to get up super early to get a chair otherwise people would reserve them with towels. We just rented the sun beds a couple times. The store on site was ridiculously expensive so don't forget ANYTHING and get souvenirs s off site. There was only one type of beer which was disappointing because I got sick of Dos X's real quick LOL and I'm a beer drinker which was the only major downfall... I couldn't even get something at additional cost... Also, it says no smoking but there were people smoking all over the resort, didn't bother me but it might for some others.. Overall great place and I'd definitely go back.

Pros and cons to everything, but I was shocked by how terrible the front end service was. Experienced issues the first week and can’t believe they’re still in business with how things are handled there. The grounds are beautiful, it’s so fun having the animals around, the beach is gorgeous (I would suggest staying away from the rocky parts which you can see clearly), the food had a great selection, the cleaning and food staff were always great - essentially if you experience zero issues, you’ll be fine, but if you have any issues, basically keep them to yourself or you’ll be frustrated beyond belief and waste way too much time. My first night after a full day and night of travel we arrive, and there was confusion because there’s 5 hotels on this one resort - all the perks we were looking forward to that we saw weren’t actually included with where we booked which was a huge let down. We had the option to upgrade but it was really expensive, so we let it go and it just was what it was - definitely very misleading and kind of shady, but we didn’t let it bug us. First night, I had the most terrible sleep and MAYBE got 4 hours cut up because of this drunk group of guys trying to bash into the neighbouring room. I called security - eventually the bulk left, and the AC turned on which is quite loud so the remaining sound was drowned out. I was woken up again by a drunk person continuously knocking and tapping on the door trying to get in again - called security again. Managed to get back to sleep, but woke up again to drunks trying to get into the door, called security for a third time.. and after this phone call they then started fidgeting with my door handle trying to force their way in. I was literally appalled that I had to call security three times in a night, and they claim someone came each time, but to call not once, not twice, but three times? I can honestly say I already didn’t feel safe after night one of 13. Went to the lobby the following day to see what the heck happened, and time and time again no matter who I talked to, everyone just justified what happened as though it was normal and there was no issue and I’m essentially overreacting. Being a family friendly resort with a baby and having a group of drunk men trying to force their way into rooms in the middle of the night repeatedly? Nothing was offered, no apologies were made, it was this constant flow of the systems they have in place and how everything is handled and there was no problem. We were then told by our hands on travel guide at the resort that the front desk/concierge workers are known to be more of sales people and less people people, which makes sense because of how much you’re up sold. Following this shocking display of a clear lack of customer service, we went to their sales presentation as you got some perks for going, so why not? It’s actually an ingenious program that would have been considered, but no longer was when the first manager came to us prior to it starting and asked how the stay has been so far, and we told him the truth of what happened the first night. Response? Didn’t acknowledge it at all, clarified that we knew this was a sales presentation, signed off, and passed us along. Who in their right mind hears of someone having a terrible experience their first night, completely ignores it, then continues to try and sell you more time spent at this resort? It was appalling the demeanour in how they talked to us and looked down on us - just like we were money for the taking. Didn’t care at all about us. This was now an experience we brought to the front desk to bring attention to how off putting this resorts dynamic was - but there was more justification, no one really cared, and we were actually sickened by how some treated us. Eventually we clawed our way to the front end supervisors and managers who could finally help us, but it’s very clear that this resort runs on a very top down, hierarchical model where people are paid poorly and are not happy, which actually made me really sad. Again, the food staff was incredible always, the cleaners were sweet as can be, and you’ll get good and bad everywhere you go, but for the Human Resources and front end to be that bad, I honestly don’t know how they’re still afloat. This was only the beginning of our problems but I won’t write them all here as the issues all came back down to the same thing - lack of leadership and knowledge of dealing with people. Even very small things that weren’t a big deal but we wanted to get sorted out became huge confusing issues that were impossible to get to the bottom of.. we spent way too much time in the lobby dealing with things on our vacation. Very disorganized, inefficient systems - we chatted with a lot of other people staying there who were as confused as we were when we arrived, as most things aren’t explained, the map barely makes sense, and you’re kind of just left to your own devices. Multiple families we met on their way out after a week stay said they had just learned of helpful things like the shopping centre, the Iberostar app, the times of buffets and a La cartes, etc. I’m not sure if covid made resorts worse, but prior vacations I’ve never experienced anything like this. We’re business owners so that’s where our perspective on this is all coming from - if our business ran this way and we treated our customers as we were treated, we wouldn’t be in business today.

Iberostar Paraiso Beach checked all the boxes for our recent vacation. Beautiful beach, pool and grounds. The property is so lush with beautiful gardens and wildlife. The food was amazing - great quality and variety, with lots of a la carte options. There was always something going on as far as entertainment. Also, the gym was incredible with ample equipment and lots of fitness classes throughout the day to choose from. I had zero complaints about this resort- we had a wonderful week!

We were very impressed with this hotel. The grounds were immaculate and absolutely gorgeous. The buildings were super clean and well maintained. The buffet restaurant had great ambiance and though what was offered wasn’t always our cup of tea there was always something to eat. We especially liked the breakfast options with lots of fresh fruit. We got around to eating at two a la carte restaurants even though there were three available to us. We loved the French a la carte the Japanese hibachi was meh. The pool was huge and gorgeous. The beach was nice as well as it had bright white sand and we always had a chair with papilla. Unfortunately we had a huge sargassum problem but that’s not the fault of the hotel. We had a handicap room as we had our mother with us using a wheelchair. Staff were very friendly and attentive. The only critique I have is that the handicap room had very low toilets which made it very difficult to use for my mom despite the handrails. The resort is enormous which could be a pro or a con for people as there is tons of walking though you can flag down a golf cart. The only other critique I have is the nighttime shows or lack of them. The Mexican folklore show was wonderful but for the rest there was nothing really, even the animation team at night was sad really. During the day you could be as involved or uninvolved with activities which I suppose is the benefit of a larger resort having busy and quiet areas. Overall we loved this lush gorgeous property I can definitely recommend this resort.

This is our 4th time returning to the Iberostar Paraiso Beach. It is in a great location and only 30 mins from CANCUN airport and only another 30 mins to Playa Del Carmen, so of resort excursions are easily accessible. Every time we have been so very pleased with the whole resort. From the staff, to the food, the rooms, the gym, the shopping mall, the pools and especially the beach! Everything is perfect. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the resort is exceptionally maintained and very well thought out as all the rooms and restaurants are easy to find and labeled on a very detailed map. We will definitely be returning for another visit!

I recently vacationed at the Iberostar Paraiso Beach, Riviera Maya. This was my 11th time visiting this resort. I have always return to this hotel mainly because it is accessible, but also for its great value, amenities, food and service. My one complaint is that as a returning guest, I was continually harassed to join the Iberostar Club and book directly with the hotel on future visits. Once I decline, the hotel concierge staff should not pursue the matter. Otherwise the trip was very enjoyable. Travelers should be made aware that there is a new visitor tax to be paid at the airport or online, but the website was not functioning and the kiosks to pay at Air Transat in the terminal are not setup yet. Regarding the accessibility, it would be great if the hotel could add a few more wheelchair accessible spots on the beach in addition to the existing two. These spots are in high demand, so a couple more spots would be greatly appreciated. I wish the travel industry would make note of resorts that are accessible like they specify if a resort is adults only, golf, spa, etc.

We returned from the resort on Sunday and discounting the fact that I got very sick early on the second day of our visit, I would say we had a good time. I mentioned "Montezuma's Revenge" to Nicole and surprisingly, she hadn't heard that expression. In any case, I'm sure it was the salad I had for lunch the first day. Lesson learned..no salads any more. We were at this resort in Feb. 2020, just as Covid hit so this is our 2nd time back. We love the resort. It's quite large but you can get around easily; great for walking but there are also shuttle buses if needed. It's lush with beautiful vegetation and as a nice surprise, beautiful peacocks strut their stuff around the grounds. The area is like a small village with the 4 resorts. We were in Paraiso Beach. Our room was good.. not luxurious but very clean and comfortable. I can't really comment on the food as I was unable to eat too much, but according to my husband, everything was very good. Fantastic swimming pools and beach. Evening entertainment should be improved in the lobby as well as the theatre, also, the kind of music played by the pool should be reviewed. We found the Rap and HipHop to be very loud, annoying and inappropriate especially with children around. The animation team was great..keeping everyone busy and entertained. We look forward to returning next year.

Mostly everything was great about this resort. Well kept grounds and buildings, beautiful scenery and landscaping, and easy access to most things! I was not really impressed by the main buffet closed for lunch, but there were other options so it really was fine. The food options available at the buffet were better than the 3 restaurants I tried, but all still a fun experience. All drinks available were good too. I’m not really a beer drinker but Dos Equis is not the best, amber was ok. I will say I really wish they had ginger ale. My room was always cleaned nicely when the do not disturb sign was up and that was always nice to come back to. The rooms had very minimal power outlets which was really weird, bring a power bar maybe?

This was a good resort, have been to 4 other resorts in the Mayan area ( twice at one). This resort offers all the standards that most resorts offer. The staff were fantastic, wish I could remember everyone’s name. Having a water and ice dispenser in each block of room was very nice. The buffet was good but on the smaller side and pretty repetitive but as I said was good. Pool games were okay, I really enjoy pool volleyball and it was tough to get games going when the volleyball net was at a different pool than the activity pool. One thing I did not care for was not having access to the other resorts connected to the resort. We have stayed at other resorts that have multiple resorts in one and could use their amenities, except the private sections. The Star Cafe and the ice cream shop at the mall were a nice treat. I don’t want to discourage people from checking it out for themselves but I would probably not return.

it was nice to see that people have moved on with covid and we were able to enjoy ourselves ,still a few wearing masks wich is fine if that's what they prefer, but at least we had the choice! Excellent service, the staff was very friendly and always smiling ,something that we haven't seen in a while being from Canada I would recommend iberostar and will return in the future

The Iberostar Paraiso Beach Hotel offered more than i expected. Our travel agent recommended it. So we went there, our arrival was smooth, from the very arrival the personnel was very nice and eager to help. The lobby clerk offered to upgrade our room to be closer to the beach, and we took it. I have to say from what we've experience, every room location was good and is close to places you want to go to within the resort, like for the beach, fitness center, one of the many restaurants, one of the pools and more. Our two-bedroom suite was great, the beach was nice, the food was incredibly good in all restaurants, and what suprised us even more was the variety and quality. The only negative was the wine, it was aweful except for the sparkling wine. If we wanted good wine it's one of the only things we needed to pay for. A thing that was most striking is how clean and ecofriendly this hotel is, all is done to limit waste and trash. It's also how nature is allowed to coexist with everything. I rate this resort as a 4 star resort. I would recommend it to anyone, whether for families or just adults.

It was extremely clean The staff was extremely friendly No complaints at all we can’t wait to go back . Cleanliness was a plus . No bugs are flies the food areas were clean. We recommend this resort to anyone who asks.

I will start with the positive: I was out of Canada and in the beautiful Mexican sun with friends. Cons and my experience with this hotel: Staff: I found many of them to be moody and not so helpful however of course not all. Rooms: nothing special but was just ok Pool: it was often dirty Room service: there isn’t any which was an issue and will explain below Beach: out of 10 days we had just one where there wasn’t an extreme amount of seaweed. I was gross! Food: buffet was decent but repetitive and felt I was eating same food everyday Hotel service: horrible- my 2 yr old broke a glass in room and it accidentally shattered so I quickly called front desk to ask to have someone clean it up. They said 10 mins max. And so we waited and called again and got same response and after 6 x calling and me getting very upset someone finally came which was an hour and a bit later. Kids indoor playground: I was initially pleased but if there is a rainy day and you need the kids to go there to play your out slot luck cause it’s only available to kids in the scheduled camp. Here we s my horrible experience: My 2yr old on my 7th day at resort developed a high fever. He was really hot so we called dr on-site and she was very worried as his vitals were not good and his fever was worrisome high. We had to bring him to hospital to possibly get intervenous if fever didn’t go down. It was horrible. Turned out he contracted a bacterial infection from the resort (her words) and he had sores down his throat and he was in a lot of pain. It was so scary to helplessly watch him and see my 8 yr old be scared for her baby brother. Now with that all said I went to general manager the next day and complained about this and explained that because he was in so much pain and still had fever and out of respect for other guests we couldn’t bring him in restaurant crying.. we were not allowed room service, or take food from buffet to our rooms, nothing so he basically could not eat cause we couldn’t get him food or us unless we took turns leaving. I complained that he either got infected from indoor playground or pool area and he did not care at all! He offered me a 25$ cabana! I was insulted that as my son was crying in my arms from the pain he did not care at all. And he said and I quote “It’s not my problem lady!” I was in shock and unbelievably upset for the lack of compassion for my son’s condition and what we were going through. He began to say I told front desk we left resort for day excursion which was a complete lie! That week we were all trapped in lobby due to the strong rain pours all day and night. We never left the resort except going to hospital. In addition to him making up that we left resort, he blamed my son getting the infection off site! I just could not believe my ears! Such a heartless person that was not even able to look into my eyes as I was on verge of tears for my son, my families experience and the lack of care from this resort manager and the resort. I tried talking to conceirge but she kept saying they had rules. I’m sorry but what rule cannot be adjusted to help a sick child that was in such need. The last three days were horrible as I was fighting with them to help me. No one should go to this resort because in times of emergency they will not care at all. And if you are will small children and in a foreign country with no one willing to help you it’s a horrible experience.

The grounds were beautiful with tropical green vegetation and exotic birds. The buffet food was decent and a great variety. The main disappointment was the beach. Too much seaweed and unfortunately we went at the end of May and had rain and clouds for the most part of our stay. Thankfully we were with a bunch of great friends and made the best of it at the lobby bar.

We felt that this hotel was a fantastic example of what one should expect from a 4/5 star resort! The grounds were phenomenal with wildlife all over. Maintenance personnel were also prominent on the grounds and building facilities, as were security personnel. Water and ice were available from purification systems, so no health concerns. COVID controls were utilized in all public areas and dining rooms and COVID testing was available on site! We felt safe and comfortable for the entire stay!! Great time overall.

-Buffet & a la cartes have a very limited selection, but are high quality. Minimal after-hours options. Shopping centre provides free made-to-order food which is a bonus. -This is one of the lowest levels on a resort compound so you get minimum access to facilities, but have access to all the popular/fun things, so there's no point upgrading. -Resort seemed very understaffed while we were there, so we had no drink servers and bartenders with no cocktail knowledge. Brazilian restaraunt didnt have enough servers so we left after the long wait. The folks there were working hard though. -There are only a few bars so without servers it was a pain to get drinks. -Beach was the best we've seen on that coast, lots of waves and strong riptides though. Many people were rescued by life guards.

THIS RESORT IS VERY BIG A LOT OF WALKING, HOWEVER THERE ARE CARRIAGES GOING BACK AND FORTH ALL DAY UNTIL 11PM IN EVENING. THE GROUNDS ARE BEAUTIFUL, WELL KEPT, LOTS OF WILDLIFE HERE AS WELL. SUPERIOR ROOM WAS LOVELY, WALK IN SHOWER/MAID WAS EXCELLENT. FOOD WAS GOOD, LOTS OF CHOICE AND MANY A LA CARTES TO CHOOSE FROM. STAFF WERE ALSO VERY ACCOMMODATING. THE BEACH WAS BEAUTIFUL.

Landscape was excellent , all cement walkways , flat no stairs , huge resort , lots to do , not enough time with just one week . Beautiful beach area . Very large pool , clean . No complaints . The food was great and lots of variety . Restaurants were amazing . We would go back there in a heartbeat .

Many downgrades since our last visit a year ago: no more included room service, no waiters on the beach, no tequila bottle in the room... The room cleaning service has also gone down: many days the sheets are not changed, the floor is not cleaned and the mini fridge is not filled as expected... One great improvement: the new water system, distributers instead of plastic bottles and the quality is better. Same beautiful site, great employees and great food!

This was the second time that I visited this resort. Both experiences although seven years apart were fantastic. Seven years ago I stayed at the Iberostar Paraiso Del Mar. This year I stayed at that I Iberostar Paraiso Beach. The grounds at this resort are immaculate, the pools are second to none, and the food and restaurants-top-notch. The staff was very attentive and always available if you had any questions. The rooms were very clean and were clean daily in a very professional manner. The nightly entertainment was great. And the wildlife throughout the resort was very fun to watch. I would highly recommend this resort for any adults, or families as there is always a place to go to suit your needs. By this I mean there are activities at the pool, there is a play area for children, there is a quiet area for adults by the waterfall, and of course there’s always the beach, that was very clean and enjoyable.

No complaints about anything. The resort is amazing the people are friendly, the food was great. The beach is nice but a little crowded and noisy for me. But this can’t be avoided especially when this noise was made by the tourists and the hotel cannot do anything.

Back from a wonderful vacation as a group of 11. This is the fourth time to this resort and it didn’t disappoint. From the service, lush grounds, pools and beach we all found the resort perfect for our group. The lavish grounds with the flamingos, peacocks, iguanas and cotis as you walk the grounds is the best part as so natural. Another great feature is the shopping centre with the taco stand, coffee cafe and crepes for an afternoon break. The resort has great shuttle service as well to travel you to and from various points through the resort. Love the Iberostar chain and will be back! Cheers Kelly

The hotel is beautiful. These are very large resorts, so be prepared to walk alot. They do provide transportation to and from any where you want to go around the resort. Once you find out where the pick up locations are located. For the price this hotel is ok. Basic buffet and rooms. Pool areas are beautiful. Only access to 1 other hotel-Del Mar. The staff are amazing, very helpful. Overall Happy with experience.

This is the second time to Iberostar Paraiso Beach and I will definitely be back. My wife and I visited in April 2019 and January 2020. Buffet was great, ala carte restaurants were great, pools are huge and fun, or relaxing depends on what pool you are at. The grounds are large but easy to get around with the golf carts that pick you up. 15 minutes to Playa Del Carmen

The grounds of this resort are lovely. The beach and pool were great! Rooms and food leave a bit to be desired. Our room's bed was terrible which made having a good night sleep impossible. My partner and I were excited for the restaurants you can book reservations at, for a break from the buffet. However, every single meal we had from the restaurants were mediocre at best. Often leaving most of the meal uneaten and going to the buffet after. The main Buffet had good labeling of food for those with dietary restrictions (including Vegan options) but no other snack bar, buffet or restaurant did. It is a beautiful resort, well maintained and well staffed. The gym is spectacular and there are plenty of activities on the grounds if you don't plan on leaving the resort. The grounds were a bit too big for my liking but the views can't be beat.

This is my second time at Iberostar, first time I was at Del Mar and loved it too! Amazing resort and property and Beach’s lobby is so lively! Amazing staff, everyone is friendly and simply great! Food was always fresh and delish. We were there for a wedding with a big group and the staff did an awesome job taking care of us! I was in room 3349 and it was a perfect location. Minor complaint, the coffee at the buffet was not good, but I heard that it was awesome in the shopping plaza. Book it and you will not regret it :)

I found the hotel very beautiful and clean! The staff went above & beyond to help & were very courteous. Our room exceeded my expectations and the staff cleaned it every day & changed towels, etc. They gave an extra touch making animals out of the towels & leaving fresh flowers. Room service was prompt & dependable!

We just returned from a week’s vacation, and our second time was just as good as the first. We were given a corner room on the second floor with a tub...that was lovely. We arrived at the resort early in the morning and were worried about checking in, but Oscar greeted us with a smile and said, “welcome home”, and checked us in and provided our wrist bands and told us to go and enjoy breakfast. The food, oh my God, the food was so good. I was exposed to foods I’ve never eaten before such as ahi tuna, giant clams, tuna tartar, and four different kinds of passion fruit to name a few examples. I had to exert an enormous amount of self-control every day to stop myself from overeating. I went to the gym twice, and the treadmills were in perfect working order. Again this year, we took the hobie cat out one afternoon, and that’s a real treat to be able to do that. There is good shopping at the onsite mall, and my husband bought a beautiful belt for himself at a fair price. We walked everywhere, but the electric cart drivers offered us rides steady. We never had to walk very long or far without a courteous ride offer. The grounds are so beautiful, the drinks and the service at the pool, the restaurants, and lobby bar was excellent. Even though we are regular everyday people, the staff went above and beyond to treat us special. The morning of our departure, as we were waiting for our shuttle to the airport, a lovely young man named Jodis struck up conversation. When he found out we were leaving, he said to us, “remember, this is always your home”. What a warm and generous thing to say. The only thing I could give back is to tip, and tip I did, to everyone. And to everyone who works there, thank you for your gift of a wonderful vacation experience. God bless!

Recently visited the Iberostar Paraiso Beach for a week stay. Beach was beautiful, golf course was amazing. Food, drinks were all fantastic. Iberostar staff were always friendly and very accommodating.

We thought this resort was very nice! We were happy with our family suite, the maids did an awesome job picking up after us each day and making it feel like home for us! The pool and beach were awesome as well. One thing with little children is that the resort was very big and we had to do a lot of walking everywhere we went.

The resort was incredibly well-kept and eco-friendly. Customer service was amazing, whenever something was needed there was always someone willing to help. The beach area and resort, in general, are wheelchair accessible, which was a bonus to see a resort have. The rooms and public bathrooms were all modern and always clean. Dining at the buffet and specialty restaurants were spectacular! The pool areas were also large enough that you never felt overcrowded, even when many people were around. The workers and staff were all very friendly, and always willing to stop and give rides over from different places around the resort if needed in golf carts. The resort also had shuttle stops scattered all around the resort which you could wait at to be picked up and driven somewhere if needed.

Great hotel with lots to do and wide selection of restaurants to choose from. Location is within 30 minutes from the cancun airport which is convenient. The beach was crowded but very nice and the pools were amazing definitely the best of the various resorts we’ve visited. The resort staff was incredible especially the entertainment team who always had lots going and and did a great job interacting with people. The shows were top notch especially the New Year’s Eve show and after party. The resort is large but never felt busy (except the beach) even though it apparently full. Only 2 areas for improvement were the rooms are a little dated and not as nice as other places we’ve been and the the Paraiso beach doesn’t give you access to other resorts for drinks and food (we didn’t know this going there but likely this was our fault for not reading up on the resort because everyone else seemed to understand and accept this). This wasn’t a major issue since there was lots to do at our resort but if your thinking to venture over to the lindo or maya resort this may be something to consider. Would definitely return to to this hotel.

The complex was big but never hard to navigate around. The food was the best I’ve ever had at a resort, I recommend booking steak house and Japanese al a cartes. they have a good variety for liquor and lots of pools if your a pool person. Always something to do at this resort for all age groups!

I recently vacationed at the Iberostar Paraiso Beach, Riviera Maya. This was my 10th time visiting this resort. I have always returned to this hotel mainly because it is accessible, but also for its great value, amenities, food and service. But, on this last trip in November I was a little disappointed. When we tried to make our 3 a-la-carte restaurant reservations on the first day, we were told that the hotel was completely booked and had difficulty getting any restaurant reservation. However, each night throughout the week, we witnessed at least 2 of the 8 restaurants we had to choose from were closed. If your hotel is full, why would you close restaurants and not let your guests know? Also, as a returning guest, I was continually harassed to join the Iberostar Club and book directly with the hotel on future visits. Once I decline, the hotel concierge staff should not pursue the matter. Otherwise the trip was very enjoyable. Regarding the accessibility, it would be great if the hotel could add a few more wheelchair accessible spots on the beach in addition to the existing two. These spots are in high demand, so a couple more spots would be greatly appreciated.

We had a junior suit which is actually a longer regular room. For two person I guess a regular room gives you the same comfort for less money. Pros: - the resort is clean, the room is clean and well maintained. - the air conditioning is not blowing toward the bed which for me is excellent. - the food is good everywhere but at the buffet is excellent, pay attention you get fatter in matter of days Cons: -the distance from beach to buffet is big and the shuttle system doesn't work properly. Be prepared for a lot of walking

The property was absolutely clean. The wild life was beautiful. Our room was safe and clean. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The restaurant electives were fun and the buffets were plentiful with options. This was my 6th visit to this resort and not my last.

This resort is by far the best resort I have ever stayed at. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful! The rooms are beautiful and the cleaning staff is incredible. There are workers always cleaning the resort and the service is fantastic. The beach was a little crowded at times but that's to be expected. The pool is not as busy for the amount of people on the resort so it makes up for the beach. The pool is BEAUTIFUL and huge with 3 swim up bars. There is always some type of entertainment at the pool or the beach and the night time entertainment at the theatre is amazing!! The entertainment staff are incredibly talented. The restaurants are never crowded and the food is SO good!!! I didn't bring my child with me but they have a bunch of stuff to do for kids so next time I am definetly bringing him with me! They also have a shopping centre on site with an amazing mexican taco restaurant! I would recommend this resort to anyone looking. It says it is a 4/4.5 star but it actually is a 5 in my opinion. I can't say enough good things about this place and I will be returning as soon as I can! I will recommend this resort to everyone I know! You will not be disappointed!!

Staff were so friendly and hospitable, answered any questions or concerns we had. All the restaurants had amazing food and the staff were there for your every need. The grounds were immaculate and clean everywhere we went. The activity team at the pools and the Theater employees were so entertaining and made the pool time so much fun. The pools were so clean and had fantastic bartenders, the cart drivers were fantastic as well! Can't say enough about this place, it was an absolutely fantastic trip!!

It is a fantastic resort, the room was very clean and nice , the grounds were very beautiful, the pools were awesome-big and clean , the beach was very nice as well- even though the hotel was 93 % full they were plenty of empty chairs . The restaurants were also very nice - we when to 6 of them- Italian, Brazilian (very good) , Japanese ... !!!! The entertainment team was fantastic! It was Super vacation!

Great hotel, staff was good. Room was good, food excellent. Well worth the money. It is a very large resort but they have a tram that comes approximately every 10 mins. Shopping center, casino No complaints at all. As a hint use the iberostar app to book al a carts or any communication with the hotel.

We love this resort and are very much looking forward to our next visit. However, I was very disappointed to get an email from them charging my credit card an extra $100 for keys that we most definitely returned! I would appreciate that being put back where it belongs, on my credit card. It was very early morning check out and perhaps the concierge missed picking them up or forgot we gave them to him, but they were returned.

The resort was great, very beautiful. However there were a few things i wasnt a fan of. When we first arrived we did not get a map or tour or any instructions. So we were starving and running all over the resort to try and find a restaurant that was open. An overview of how everything worked would have been much appreciated. The next day they had us come at 10am, for what i thought was an overview of the resort, but it was not. It was only to book excersions, which they booked multiple other people at the same time too. We waited almost an hour to speak with the lady, when we could have been sleeping or done on are own time. I also like to drink coffee on the beach. I couldn't take coffee out of the restaurant with their cups. There was a coffee shop 2 resorts over (15 min walk) which allowed me to take my coffee to go. However i would have appreciated the coffee more easily accessible. The rooms were great, no complaints. The pools were beautiful. Very well done. The beach... well wrong time of year to be rated. They did try very hard everyday to limit the seaweed. I never did any of the al'carts but the buffers were mediocre. The staff were all very friendly and ready to help. There was a few staff that were making passes at the women tourists though. Overall, the resort was okay. I would not go back myself though.

This resort was large and beautiful! Lots to do except the night life was not as hopeful as we were hoping for. The beach was crappy. So much seaweed and had a bad smell. Pool was nice though. Would reccomend.

All staff were friendly and tried their best to understand and Accommodate any questions/ requests. Beach was not great (lots of washed up seaweed) but pools were gorgeous and it was large resort with lots to do

This property was massive. Lots of walking. They had shuttle carts for guests but we had a hard time getting one when needed. Beach was large with lots of seating. Lots of seaweed so we stayed by the pool. Buffet food could have been better options for vegetarians or more selection in general.

Had a fabulous week at Iberostar Paraido Beach. We were in the 4001 building, which was close to the lobby and buffet, however about a 10 minute walk to the beach. Unfortunately you have to be at the beach before 7:00 am to reserve a palapa if you want shade. Carts run after 8:00 am with a typical 10 minute wait. There were alot of families, many with small children, which made for lots of noise at the beach. Was a bit windy which brought in lots of seaweed but they went constant with the tractor to try and keep on top of it. Always clean towels at the beach hut, morning and afternoon. The food was excellent. Steakhouse was delicious, and the Mexican and Brazilian were good as well. Rooms were large and spotless. Beware of getting roped into a 2.5 hour presentation in hopes of you buying into their Iberostar hotel for mega $$$. It was very misleading and although we asked several times throughout, no $$ was talked about until the last 10 minutes....the whole thing was a huge waste of time, unless maybe if you travel a dozen or so times a year. Always nice entertainment in the lobby each evening after dinner and the shows were very entertaining. The animation team are very friendly and lots of fun.

Everything from the from front desk to the drivers, star camp, restaurant servers, guest services everyone was awesome. My family and will be returning there again. I would highly recommend this resort to everyone. You will not be disappointed.

We had the time of our lives here. Cant complain about much! Pool was amazing, staff were great, beach was great except for the seaweed which was kept up with very well. Food array was good and tasty except hamburger which was usually always very undercooked, the staff in the buffet were eager to please and would cook it longer if asked. The resort is very clean! Lots to do and see. Lots of wildlife which mind their business and are very wonderful to see. Definitely would return here again!

We stayed at the Iberostar pariso beach which was on the lower end of the 5 resorts (Del mar being our equal we could use their facilities too) while we were given the option to upgrade once we got there I found we really didn't need to. Since we didn't have kids with us this time I found the pariso beach had a lot less kids on this side and made our trip even better. We only got the option of 3 a la cart reservations we could make but only used 1 because the buffet was amazing at every meal. They had a great variety every night and didnt dissapoint. The sushi and mexican cuisine was my favorite and the coffee was so good every morning. A little strong but I loved it. The staff are all so kind and pleasent. The bus boys were the best and are always willing to drive you around in their little carts as the grounds are huge. I found the concierge not very helpful but always wanting to get you to buy extras or go to their 'presentation'. They do offer some compensation in iberostar bucks for going to this presentation for an hour, but I wasn't totally clear on how they can actually be spent so I declined. The grounds are very clean and well kept. The pools are as well. The drinks are either very sweet or salty but once you find one that works for you its easy to just stick with that. I thought cranberry and vodka might be ok but it was full of syrop so I ended up getting pineapple vodka and it tasted pretty good ( no syrop) the rooms were ok , not perfect as we were told we were getting a king sized bed and they just pushed 2 double beds together. Overall this resort was a really great experience and so beautiful I would stay there again.

We stayed 7 nights at the iberostar, there is literally nothing I can find as a con or negative about anything we experienced during our week. The resort grounds alone are enough to make me return! Can’t wait!

Beautiful grounds and pools. Food is great at buffets. Staff are friendly and helpful. Great place if you have children. The beach is beautiful, they grade it all the time to remove the seaweed. Lots of activities at pool and beach. Nighttime shows at the theatres. If I had to say something negative I would mention the lack of shower curtains in bathroom; makes it difficult to share the bathroom. Our room had a musty old smell but the room itself was clean.

Just got back from iberostar paraiso beach resort, it was amazing , the food was great. The beach was awesome,the room was spacious, and very clean. Had a awesome sunny week away...would recommend this resort...

Hotel was great. So many options/activities for the children. They were very impressed with the Star Camp, pools and beach. They also enjoyed the play structure and carousel in the evenings. Grand kids were very impressed with the breakfast buffet. While it is a huge resort, there were carts constantly circling to get you from one end to the other if required. We ordered and paid for an upgrade for a birthday party celebration and everything was well received. While most of the service staff could speak some English, answering any questions requiring details for the answer was often a challenge. The staff work very hard. We would return.

Had a great week in Mexico. The staff at the resort were amazing. Some even remembered us from our last visit to the resort 4 years ago. Well be going back again next year with a bigger group. The kids area is amazing as well.

Very enjoyable, stress-free experience made possible by excellent staff, pristine grounds and great food. Buffets were very good and restaurants were good as well. Disappointed to see most restaurants less than half full considering difficulty in getting reservations.

Considering we never wanted to visit Mexico with all the bad things you hear it was very beautiful and the resorts are very protected they really do care about the tourists , the resort was hudge and there is trollies to take you around if need be put the grounds are outstanding even driving in to the resort , some wild life roaming around Peacocks, swans , all kinds of birds , cotis , beach was great some days see weed put not smelly or over run and they clean it up all the time, only thing is it's not a long walking beach as there is 4 other sister resorts and thats about the size of the beach , the food was really good lots of choices and they change it up often, the room we had was close to the beach a walkout it was a little dark and need some repairs , put it was close to the pool and the breakfast buffet which was a great walk in the morning going though the palms and pathways was soo gorgeous. The entertainment was fantastic best I have seen at a resort, Overall it was a lot of fun and the have no mayor complaints, people are wonderful and very accomadating, , I would return to Mexico forsure and try another resort just because we don't go to the same one ever,

Best resort I have experienced in the 10+ years we have gone to the Cancun area. Top notch service and consistant service/entertainment. Very clean resort, pool, room, restaurants. Do not like the requirement to write at least 200 characters.

Very nice everything ,the hotel ,the pool ,the beach ,the restaurants ; the lobby open to the garden ,the wieu with the birds ; the food was very good and tasty ,fresh fruits many colourd.We enjoy all these very much .

This was our first stay at an Iberostar property. We stayed at Paraiso Beach which shares facilities with Iberostar Del Mar and combined it is a relatively large resort. First the staff working in the resort is doing an excellent job in almost all areas. We found they were very friendly and always with a smile. The facilities, lobbies, grounds, restaurants and rooms are well maintained and very clean. Check in was not the best. I am not sure if most of the staff was on training. It was a lot of pressure from the concierge trying to convince us to go to the Iberostar Plus presentation at Mayan. The pool is big and always clean. One area was closed for some maintenance. The meals were okay, the buffet had a large variety of food, we found the meat and fish most of the time little uncooked. My son got food poisoning and for two days he couldn't go outside the room, he missed also our Chichen Itza excursion. The a la carte restaurants were reasonable the Mexican kind of disappointing. The beach is nice, we found chairs available all the time. Entertainment was good, we loved the Mexican show. Overall we had a good time in the resort.

This resort is very well maintained, rooms are comfortable and roomy. The food is very tasty and never had a problem finding something tasty to eat. We had four specialty dinners, Italian, Mexican, Japanese and Steak all were very good but the Steak dinner was the best. The beach is very nice, however, it was red flagged for the ocean for all but one day of our stay obviously no fault of the resort. Out stay flew by and we found the day we had to leave came to quick. This was our second visit to this resort and found it as enjoyable as the first time. The staff at this resort are very helpful and pleasant to deal with.

The entertainment team was fabulous and all the staff were kind and genuine people. Amazing stay and service. The location was beautiful, even though it was windy. My family and i had a great stay. Would like to go again!:)

Located between Puerto Morales and Playa del Carmen, Paraiso Beach is an enjoyable resort with a family orientated emphasis. It has all of the amenities that are contained within beautiful grounds and is staffed by attentive and hard-working folks. There are a variety of restaurants, bars and a plethora of daily activities featured in addition to, evening shows that range from high end amateur musical theatre to off the strip professional performers. We travelled with three teenagers (without cell phones) for 12 days who were on the go from 8 – 11 p.m.; lovin’ every minute of it. (The kids club received rave reviews from both parents and kids.) If you have mobility issues, you should alert the front desk, as it is a large complex. Additionally, it is difficult to acquire a family meal times (5-7 p.m.) from the a la carte restaurants. However, there are many alternative options of extensive buffets, tacos, burgers and the little-known Star Rock Café which serves excellent food without a reservation. For our family of five this was a good value for money, all inclusive resort and it is fittingly well- recommended.

We love Iberostar Paraiso Beach. This was our fourth trip to the complex; three to paraiso beach and one to paraiso del mar. We have always been pleased, hence our four visits. We were not impressed by Sunwing airlines. The seats were too tightly packed and they ran out of food on the way down. Ground crew taking us to our hotel were very efficient.

This resort was amazing and so much fun. The food at the a la carte restaurants, the buffets and the snacks at the beach were all wonderful. The taco shop at the on resort shopping plaza was so good! The grounds were well maintained and the staff were all friendly and accommodating.We went on three excursions and they were also amazing. The staff were so knowledgeable and fun.

Great resort with lots of seating with shade..pool was large....lots of mature trees and grounds...beautiful beach...nice sand...waves... Staff was good...food and drinks were good...spa sensations was terrific... Free WiFi and nice mall attached..to the 5 resorts...

Air Transat: The transfer from the airport to the hotel was very nice. Clean, air conditioned and friendly service. It was a nice touch that the whole wedding group had a private transfer so we knew everyone on the bus and only had to stop at our hotel making the drive seem faster. The Air Transat rep was friendly, funny and good at relaying information about excursions. The one negative I would say is that she recommended the “free” shuttle to Playa Del Carmen. We understood that there would be a couple stops prior and when we reserved our shuttle we checked with her to make sure that we would return to the hotel in time for the rehearsal dinner with the rest of the wedding group. She informed us that we would be back at the hotel by 5:30 at the very latest. At our second stop (the Tequila and gift shop) we had to wait about 45 minutes for the shuttle to come pick us up to bring us to Playa Del Carmen. We finally get there and upon arrival were informed to meet the shuttle for our return at 5:40... the bus was returning after the time we were told we would be back at our resort. We ended up having a quick lunch where we were dropped off and taking 2 cabs back to the resort. Unfortunately we never got a chance to “see” or walk around Playa Del Carmen and it was a wasted day that we could have spent back at our resort. Most of the other people in our group went to Playa Del Carmen in the following days, we told them to just take a cab and not waste their time with the “free” shuttle. Hotel - Check In was quick and simple. Because we were part of a wedding group they had everyone set up at a table ready to go. The resort itself is beautiful and well taken care of. We loved the open air lobby and the lobby bar as well as all the greenery and wildlife on and around the resort. It’s very spacious so you don’t feel crowded but that also means a lot of walking from your room to the restaurants or the beach. The shuttles did run fairly often enough but we found ourselves just walking most of the time. Pools - The pools we nice and clean and they had few swim up bars to choose from. They made whatever drink you requested from Mojitos to Mudslide or something special for the kids. The pool water was a little cooler than we would have liked but the kids of course still swam. There were a lot of lounger around the pools so we were usually able to find a few for our group without having to get up at 8 am to reserve them. The only negative was that there are no hot tubs. Only jacuzzi’s that are the same temperature as the pool. The only spot that hat any tru hot tubs is the spa. Restaurants - Service at all the restaurants were very good and fast. Nice atmosphere/decor, food was tasty and again plenty of drink options. Even the buffet restaurants were good. Spaces fill up quick for the specialty restaurants so I would recommend reserving them early. Rooms - The buildings are all 3 story walk ups so any one with limited mobility or in a wheel chair needs to be on the bottom floor. They offer bell boy service so that you don’t need to carry your luggage up 3 flights of stairs. No matter what side of the building you are on you get a decent view of either the pool or the grounds. The rooms weren’t too dated, they were clean and the maid service was good. The beds were 2 doubles, we would have preferred 2 queens but there was also a built in couch/futon that our other child slept on. Beds were fairly comfortable but you did feel every time the other person moves. Beach - Sand at the beach was soft, no sea shells or coral so you don’t need water shoes. They cleaned the sea weed every morning and it’s a long stretch of beach that you can walk along. There was lots of loungers and palapas to choose from and the snack bar/drink bar was close. There were a few days that the waves were really bad and the red flag was up. The lifeguards were amazing, we watched them save a couple of people. Kids Club - We went with our kids to the Star Club every day. They LOVED it there. Plenty of activities for all age groups. Very clean, modern and friendly staff. The kitchen had drinks and snacks available. There was a new PlayStation, the wii switch, a big couch, a hammock, rock climbing wall, trampolines with basketball nets, board games, crafts and art easels, jungle gym, a stage, outdoor playground and then a games room with disco for teenagers. Shows & activites - There were lots of activities and entertainment at the loud pool. One day they had a giant inflatable thing in the pool for the kids. That kept them entertained for hours! The kids shows at the theatre were fun and interactive. They were so impressed with the magic show. Overall we had a great family vacation and an enjoyable experience at the resort. We found that there weren’t too many kids there and a good balance of things for the kids and adults to do. Our only recommendation (and I’m not sure if other resorts do this since it was our first time doing an all inclusive with kids) would be that the resort give kids a different coloured glass when serving drinks. It was difficult to tell if their virgin pina coloda or sprite was theirs once they put it down. Any time we lost sight of their cup we would just get them a new drink to be on the safe side.

It was a big resort but it didn't feel crowded. With everything well spaced out, you were never crowded. The beach was nice; bar close by, towel hut and food was available. The A La Carte Restaurant were superb, great food and great selections. As well as the buffet. The kids club was handy. The mall with the disco (free free free) was all part of the all inclusive. The shuttles to and fro was a godsend. Very clean and lots of hot water in the rooms. FYI: Do not take the "free" shuttle to Del Carmen. It's only a 20 minute drive, it took us 3 hrs. They do a stop at a jewelry store and then to the tequila store. They drop you off and then you have to wait for your shuttle to come back to pick you up to take you to Del Carmen.

It was a good time, everything was spread out so lots of walking, lobby closed early every night. Good food, overall 3.5/5 would probably go back with better footwear. Staff was good to deal with, should be provided with a map of everything included including sister resorts.pool was colder than the ocean.

Staff were great! Food at buffet was always the same. Thankful it wasn’t too hot since we didn’t have any a/c The toilets at pool and at beach were really bad. I really liked the peacocks and wildlife on the resort.

Resort, rooms, staff were all great. Food was good but became a little monotonous after 2 weeks. Loved the pool and beach and we are considering returning next year. Special thanks to liliana and Geovani

Everything was spectacular! I would highly recommend this resort to everyone I know! It was everything we expected and more. Will travel to this resort in the future. The staff were very accommodating, the room was the perfect size, no complaints!

This hotel is all about open comon places like restaurants and bars which are all connected to the beautiful outdoor places. Lots of greens and meticulously kept park area. You are completely surrounded with the jungle as they left lots of trees the way the nature created them. I never seen so much greenery around the hotel. Lots of wildlife on the ground. There is even a cenote on the premises. Food was great and service even better. I spent 10 days in the hotel and didn't have any bad experiences during this time. Entertainment staff is really good. Nightly shows were also very nicely done. Room was big and clean. King size bed with very nice and clean linen. All in all very positive experience and great vacation. Definitely will come back.

This is our 9th time at this resort. It has lovely grounds, great food and very friendly staff. We highly recommend this hotel to people with disabilities as the grounds are flat and very accessible both at the pool and beach.

First time to this resort , after viewing a recent youtube.com video showing beach clear of sea weed , in Sep 2018 , as of 31 oct 2018 when we arrive, the beach is fantastic , water limpid clear, if there are any little seaweeds , the hotel staffs have clearing mechanical equipment to keep the beach impeccable 24/7 ,...excellent Buffet and great Restaurants , great show, ..there is a shopping center in the complex , ..excellent Mayan Mexican staff, pleasant , honest , peaceful , easy mannered all through the resort..great for family as well as singles..will definitely return , and will recommend to our friends...

We had a great time, great resort with a lot of activities from archery, shooting, bike tours, tennis court, a new and modern gym to name only a few. The service was 5 stars everyone was greeting us with a smile and from reception, concierge, waiters, entertainment staff we felt welcome and spoiled. A great club for children, we don't have young kids but we noticed what a good time the children had from morning till evening. We will definitely recommend this resort to our friends. Checking in Danielle was very young but patient with four ladies that had sent many request for a special birthday and wanted rooms all on the same floor. Clean rooms, grounds were very pretty and well kept. People were very friendly, excellent staff. Especially Lolli, Lucas, Lillian and the the waiters and waitresses in the dinning rooms.

Our stay at the Iberostar Paraiso Beach was average.Our rooms were great in the 36 block, spacious, and well looked after, this block is also close to the quiet part of the pool and in the middle of the beach and buffets. I recommend this block of rooms. The staff was always friendly when we ran into them, though no one went out of their way to make an extra effort, we didn't expect them to either. Luis the bellboy, Ana at reception, and one of the concierge named Ricky, were some of the most pleasant people. The service at our a la carts was barely passable. The food is standard buffet food, though the selection is not as large as some of the resorts we've been too, no one went hungry. None of the buffets at Beach are air conditioned, but at the next level up, the Lindo they are. We often found the food times to be awkward and had to wait sometimes for places to open unless we wanted a burger on the beach. Lunch at the main buffet is only 2 hours from 1-3. We often found that when we got to one buffet they were not letting any more people in, but by the time we walked to the other buffet they too had closed the doors. The Star rock cafe was tasty, air conditioned, and had sports playing on the TVs. The little shops and extra features at the shopping center were a pleasant surprise The drinks were standard fair. They ran out of pineapple juice a lot in the dispensers, so i'd have to wait in the bar line to get it. The beach was well taken care of, had plenty of seating, and a wheelchair ramp close to the snack bar. Occasionally there was seaweed on the beach, but honestly the resort cannot control that. Waiter service on the beach was non-existent for us, but it wasn't a far walk to get drinks ever. We found the entertainment to be average; the presenter was often hard to understand as he talked fast. One thing I would like to point out that I found outstanding, was the kids club. We didn't use them this trip as wel left our children at home, but the staff at the kids club always had those littles out doing fun things, we seen them everywhere! Our trip was fine, we didn't have any major issues or complaints, but it wasn't the best resort we've been to. I wouldn't recommend it to a friend, but if they had already booked it, I would let them know they'll have an OK time

My husband and I stayed at this resort for one week August 17-24. Very hot and extremely humid but the ac in our room worked well so did the fan so no complaints in that regard. Our room was very clean and well maintained throughout our stay. Having stayed in Cuba and Punta Cana several times I would say this was the cleanest, however I found the service underwhelming. Polite but not engaged. The exception was Mara at the concierge desk. Food well I didn’t get sick, and I enjoyed my meals. Ate at the buffets, very basic but good enough. Drinks ,well drinks are always hit or miss at any inclusive I have been to. That’s why you have to really enjoy when you get one that is great because you may never ever have it again lol . Sometimes the drinks were watered down sometimes much too strong but eventually I always went back to the mojitoes. So refreshing so minty unlike Cuba I didn’t notice any bar that I went to out of anything that I wanted. The seaweed was a non issue for us it was cleaned daily and we were able to swim whenever we wanted. So many fish when swimming in the ocean . Sometimes schools of them would be around. Harmless and so beautiful. If you took bread in with you they would surround you. The nightly shows, yikes and yikes again. We went to the shows but if the entertainment team wasn’t trying so hard we would have left like many others did. But hey they had table service and popcorn so I had to drink somewhere lol why not there. The magic show was good Mexican folklore was good as well. all others well let’s just say the mojitoes really helped me enjoy the show lol . Hardly any mosquitoes but bring Bug spray as they did get worse asthe week wore on. No ac in the buffets or lobby but I am not going to a tropical place and complain about the heat. Lol I knew about the lack of ac before I booked but if staying cool is important to you all the time this is not the resort for you. The pool is huge, loved it. There is a place for everyone. We went to the disco that was air conditioned and it was fun it gives you something to do after 11pm 30 minutes from the airport but we only had one other couple in our shuttle.

The grounds and rooms were all well kept and there was great service at the pools and speciality restaurants.The activity people were alot of fun.The buffets were not so good as they were always the same food and not very hot.Our favourite place was The Hard Rock where we had a great waiter.

Casual atmosphere, not much of a party vibe. Nightly entertainment was terrible. The "pool party" wasn't much better. Thankfully I was there with a large group of friends, so we had fun on our own. Not a fan of the long walk from the the lobby to the beach, but the food was great at both the buffet and specialty restaurants.

Everything was great however sometimes the buffet was great, sometimes it was meh. If your not a picky eater you should be able to find something that you enjoy most meals - but it was rare to want get seconds on anything.

We traveled with our two boys both under a year and a half old. The resort was very accommodating to young children. Extremely large resort however golf carts are willing to pick you up at many locations. Food was fantastic, rooms for extremely clean. We can't wait to come back and visit again

It's a beautiful resort with lots of lush tropical greenery, exotic birds, swimming pools and fountains. All buildings in the resort are neatly incorporated in the environment, both exterior and interior design of the main lobby and restaurants are really amazing. The rooms are spacious, clean and pleasant. The hotel staff is friendly and the service they provide is impeccable. On the flip side, the food was not always that great, a blemish in the overall very good impression. Also there was a lack of shuttle vehicles to transport you to and from the beach.

My wife and young daughter travelled to Iberostar Paraiso Beach from March 19-26/2018. We enjoyed this resort a lot. The weather was excellent! The trip from the airport was pretty quick (about 30-35min). Check- in was smooth and all the staff were very helpful and all spoke English. Standard room was "standard", but clean, they gave us a ground floor which is key if you have young kids (no elevators). They keep the mini fridge well stocked with water and beer. This resort was good for families, lots for kids to do (parks, kids club, kids show in the evening etc) and lots of wildlife for them to look at. The grounds are very clean and well kept. The food was good, my wife and daughter are gluten / dairy free and the chefs accommodated them very well (they will come and offer to make you special dishes if you let the hostess know). The resort is large so be prepared to walk a lot, but they have carts to pick you up if you want. The beach is nice, it's big enough and not super crowded, lots of seaweed, but it gets cleaned up daily. The pools are really nice and big and you can use the pools at the neighbouring Iberostar resorts so you don't get bored. The bars were good. Service was quick and you won't have to go to far to get to the next one. They have lots of activities/entertainment, the staff were enthusiastic and friendly. The gym is awesome, brand new, large and open. They have a nice shopping area as well with a good coffee shop, bars, restaurants, carousel, sweet shop etc. They have an on site golf course, it's $99 usd for 18 holes or after 2pm $69usd, plus $55usd club rental. So if you plan on playing bring your own clubs if possible. My only complaint is with the airline(Air Transat) as they do not allow families with infants to select seats. So my wife and were not seated together, I know several other families had the same issues. I would definitely recommend this resort to a friend and would rate it between 4 and 4.5 stars.

Resort is very big but the shuttles r pretty quick . Food was very good .rooms clean but air condition not working ver well . Complained 4 time still no change .that sucked .people very friendly . Beach no no good . No flat sad . Very weedy and soft sand. Difficult to walk in .
