Been to punta cana many times all Different all inclusive ., and this was our first time at the caribe deluxe princess ., just have to say that we would never go back!! The minus is more than the pluses !! 1- services at the front desk awful 2- got there and the music was country music in English I was excepting salsa merengue bachata none to be found 3-food out of 10 a 3 not good !! After 3 days had to eat toast . Don’t expect meat and if there is can’t be eaten so hard!!!! 4-people that serve at the buffet look like they were in pain and not wanted to be there felt sorry for them no smiles no hello nothing!!! 5- they always forgot to leave toilet paper in the room. Towels uff you get two at the most Call to have some coffee so I can make in the room never show!!! At the end service was the worst The special restaurants not good Pluses 1- beach super nice 2 - buildings beautiful 3-rooms very nice 4-swimming pools nice

Very clean and well kept. Great food, long Beach strip, 3 pools, large rooms. Restaurants are great, Japanese grill was great so was Italian. And one must try the local dominican food. Buffet has great and ever changing chouces

5 stars all the way Everything was good. One restaurant -italien- was not to the level of all the other restaurants. The Brazilian restaurant was the best. The tropical environment and the faune were like a paradise.

The design of the resort is nice. There are multiple pools to choose from depending on your needs. If you are a beach person there is alot of beach in front of this resort and it is cleaned every morning. The resort itself is clean and well kept by staff. Staff are friendly and always willing to help. The food at this resort was very good, there was always a good selection at the buffet. There were a few times at the a lacarte restaurants that the food could have been warmer however the flavour of the food was good.The only issue we had while on vacation was a cold shower here and there (usually morning) due to so many people using it at the same time. We would definitly reccomend this resort.

The hotel was absolutely beautiful! The food was amazing, and we loved the animation team at the resort, everyone was committed to ensuring you had a wonderful trip. I would recommend this resort for families, and couples! There’s something for everyone!

Pool is clean, beach is great. Good variety of food and a la carte restaurants. Love the nature habitat. Rooms are pretty decent. Never had an issue with air conditioner or hot water. Depends on where are you in the resort, some staff do not speak english.

Grounds were clean. Entertainment was great. Rooms were spacious and clean. Maid was great. Servers were courteous. Women’s bathrooms could use a little more attention. Food was good. Some food dishes could be warmer.

This is an honest review, but ultimately it is from my perspective. First, the hotel: Room: Well-thought out room lay-outs. Comfy bedding, black-out curtains. We love the key bracelets! Efficient, quiet air-conditioner. Plenty of storage space. Wonderful hot showers with great water pressure. Double sinks, although one didn’t drain properly leading to a yucky mess. Reported 3 times to no avail. We had a ground floor room in Block A, walk out to patio, flush with ground. Those that have a step down have perspex barriers. We did lose power a few times in the early morning which was a problem for me because I use a CPAP machine. Our friends next door ‘blew up’ one hairdryer and another shorted both our rooms. Other times, power failed within seconds of my partner leaving the room. Coincidence I’m told. The grounds are fabulous. Workers are constantly clearing, cutting, pruning and maintaining the grounds. Walk the path from lobby to rooms… a slice of tranquility. Love the wild life. Dining: Buffet: Lots of choice and variety each night. Surprising buffet dishes included lagostina, smoked crab legs (huge) and duck. A la Carte: We only did 2, but did the Teppanyaki in Tao twice because it was so good. Servers and chef here were excellent. However, the Italian La Tagliata was very disappointing. The seafood risotto only had shrimp. When I asked where the muscles, calamari and white fish were, I was told there was none. I wish I had been told this when I ordered. What I had was excellent, and the tiramisu dessert was delicious. Two of my friends had the pasta. Different content in each: one had shrimp, one didn’t, one had white-fish and calamari (remember there wasn’t any in the risotto) and the other didn’t. I hear the lasagna is excellent from others who ate there. We also felt rushed here. We were in and out in 50 minutes. Not what you expect from an a la carte, but does show how efficient they can be! Best food of the week: the fried chicken at the Beach House! A daily staple. The Beach: The highlight! Powder white sand, long for walking. Three little shops close by for souvenirs. We reserved our spot early to ensure shade. For 2 days, jumping the waves was fun, but not a sea for swimming in. Nice sandy entry. Some days the waves were knocking grown men over! Great for fun, but not swimming. No sargassum at beginning of holiday, but as wind picked up, sea got rougher and some came in. The 3 pool areas: Disclosure, we didn’t go in any. First, the ‘fun’ pool. Swim-up bar. Aerobics daily at 3. May have been other activities. Music playing. Foam party once a week. Second, the quieter pool. Had the most sun. Third, the kids pool with a great looking play area with slide etc. Beware here… we met a lady who missed a step-down by the bar, fell and broke her shoulder. Apparently, many people have taken a tumble here, and for some reason the hotel will not put any warning signs or mark the step. (Something to do with admitting there’s an issue and therefore liability, I’m told.) Entertainment: Out of 10 nights, we only had music at the outside bar once… our last night. Solo guy (playing guitar and playing back tracks) sang covers and was excellent. Would have loved to see him more. I hear most entertainment was up at the lobby theatre, which is a hike in the evening. The trolleys running between lobby and rest of resort are fabulous though running frequently during the day and evening. Finally the big downer of the week: the service. Everywhere. We constantly had to go in search of towels or a hand towel or a bath mat. Face cloths were hit or miss. Once our room didn’t get made up at all, but we missed breakfast that day so probably our fault despite letting them know. I’m sure I wasn’t the first person to complain about the blocked sink, but after 3 days, I realized it was a waste of time. After the first power failure in Block A, it took a couple of hours for someone to come to reset the tripped fuse. In the buffet area, Ana, Christian and Morales were pleasant and personable, but the majority didn’t seem happy or smile. At breakfast, even if it wasn’t busy, we always had to wait for the coffee person and if the table wasn’t laid when we were seated, it still wasn’t laid when we got back. It’s almost as if there was a reluctance to provide good service, which IMHO may be an in your-face for the supervisor’s constantly watching them. It doesn’t take a lot to make guests feel welcome: a smile, a hello. Maybe some attitude training? Summary: We were a group of 4 and had a great time. Were we to go back to Punta Cana, we would go here. It wasn’t a massive resort, and the beach didn’t feel over-crowded, maybe due to the vacant lot beside it. However, as fabulous as the beach was, I personally like sea I can swim in.

The location is simply superb, the wide beach and the white sand, with perfect waves and excellent weather in early December. The resort is very nice as well, the room was large, with excellent furniture and bathroom fixtures. It has several a la carte restaurants and we did not have time to sample them all, but the ones we did were very good. Even the buffet restaurant was good, with plentiful and varied food, if quite bland. There are also several bars, but the offer of drinks was not great, the beer on tap was quite watery and the house wines were nothing special. Beside the normal suite of liquors and spirits they do mix some cocktails, but we only sampled a few, reasonably good but again as expected. Service is ok, sometimes better, sometimes worse, it definitely matches the resonable price we paid. It was not crowded, we were able to find palapas free at any time of the day, if not in the first row. But the best seats were taken early and left with beach towels on them. Also annoying was the multitude of people trying to sell things, not only on the beach but also inside the resort. We booked a couple of day trips online before we arrived, and we were able to get a much better price than we saw locally. All in all a very nice all inclusive resort and week at the beach, well worth the price. There are though many other beautiful places to visit, so we probably will not return.

The resort was clean and beautiful. Lots of animals on site, very cool experience. Good variety of restaurants, but sometimes service was subpar. Great bar staff. Nice beach, but sometimes hard to find two chairs together. Decent night entertainment. Overall, good experience!

The hotel is beautifully done! Exceptional landscape and overall design. Modern rooms. Varying pools to choose from. Great white sandy beach and great for long walks. However, would have expected better quality food! It was ok. Nothing special. Typical resort offerings. Service was extremely slow. Would need to ask multiple times for coffee cup to be filled! There was no great effort by staff to ensure timely service!

The grounds of the hotel were beautiful. To get from the lobby area to the rooms and pools you went thru a jungle that was filled with exotic birds, iguanas and turtles. The beach was wonderful, groomed daily every morning. Once we got our room sorted, first one had just been painted smelled of paint and was small, second was facing the back of the hotel, balcony overlooked a brick wall with meshing, finally last room was on second floor overlooking the pool and beach, lovely balcony and very spacious. The restaurants were good, had to book in advance a reservation if you wanted to get it. Buffet was always well stocked and had plenty of choices. Most of the staff were pleasant, there were a few that looked like they really did'nt want to be there! The nightly shows in the outdoor theatre were fun to watch. Lots of variety of drinks at the various bars around the resort!

Everything was great. Our room was lovely, the food at the buffet was always delicious, the specialty restaurants we tried were very good, the pools great, the staff very accommodating, beach/ resort very clean. Love everything.

The place was clean, the staff could be a bit nicer. Food was good but restaurants needed to be booked early, so difficult to get into them. The food at restaurants were much better than buffet. The grounds and beach was amazing.

The room was quite large and updated. Mini fridge restock with water, beer and soda everyday. Ground are super clean and looked after. Beach huge and cleaned every day, aerobic , daily activities on the beach every single day. A la carte quite nice, tried only three as buffet was great. Would come back for sure.

Great Beach with soft sand, resort very clean and well maintained, food was good variety at buffet and a la cartes, staff was happy and friendly. Jordany made terrific omelletes each morning. We'll be back.

This was a great resort, providing all the comforts. Plenty of staff on hand to provide assistance. Very friendly. Super clean. Could have presented some evening entertainment in the theatres.

Our family and friends stayed at Caribe and Tropical Princess between Nov 2nd-9nd and we had a great time. The rooms were clean and spacious, the entire resort was recently renovated and looked great, the A la Carte restaurants were very good, the buffet was a bit repetitive but not bad, the ice cream/coffee shop was a great added value, the beach and chair layout was sufficient and the water was great (we all love some waves and how clear of seaweeds they kept it) the groundds were kept very tidy and having the flamingos, peacocks, ducks, etc walking arounf made it extremely relaxing. I would warn people to a couple things: 1. Extremely persistent and overwhelming pressure at times from the "time share" reps in the pink shirts. They hound you down on your way to the rooms from breakfast, chase you down to the beach/pool and don't take no for an answer. Wish management could try to control this. Other vendors along the beach are present but continue walking if you just say or nod No! 2. It seems that on weekends the place is innundated by locals who many have no etiquette or manners around the buffet/restaurants and bar areas by cutting in line not caring and at times mocking other guests (non-locals) with some staff. ( if you speak/understand spanish this is easy to pick up). Perhaps cutting the number of locals on wkds would alleviate much of the displeasure heard from other guests from Canada, US, Germany, and other European Countries. But overall, a wonderful week and I would recommend the Caribe Princess Deluxe!

This was my 2nd time staying at this resort, it is beautiful and is on a beautiful stretch of Bavaro beach. I had low expectations for this resort and ended up having a fantastic vacation. The grounds, pools, beach, buffet, restaurant and rooms are really beautiful and well maintained. My room had a strong dampness odor which I acclimatized to after a minute of being in the room. The air-conditioning was very good and quiet. Beds and pillows are super comfy. Security arrived immediately to fix the safe after I called the front desk because it stopped working. The buffet offered plenty of food and quite the variety but most of it wasn't what I like but I had no problem finding something to eat. For the à la carte restaurants I tried Asian, Brazilian and Tex-Mex. They were alright, was a nice change from eating at the buffet. The café near the lobby that makes good coffee only opened at 9 am and the bar at the beach also makes a very good coffee but they open only at 10 am. For beach towels you need to pick them up at 8 am or else they may not have any if you want them later. It wasn't very busy when I went in June so there was always lots of lounge chairs available on the beach, and the beach is a dream, there was only a bit of seaweed which was removed daily. I read many reviews in which people complain about the bad attitudes of the staff and the locals, but honestly, I didn't think that they behaved worse than folks back at home. I had a fantastic vacation and I may very well come to this resort again.

My husband and I just returned from the Caribe Deluxe a week ago and we really enjoyed our vacation. We were greeted with a warm welcome by Anna Victoria at the reception. We requested a room with a pool view and had to pay a little extra but it was worth it. -Grounds: impeccable! so beautiful! Everything is walking distance, or you can take the trolley. -Rooms: Newly renovated, comfortable bed. *If you need anything, just ask the maids and they will bring you what you need. We requested extra pillows and a blanket and extra bottles of water and beer. They don't provide facecloths, which is typical, so we always bring our own. The maids start working early each morning so just go in the hallway to find a maid and ask for what you need. I always bring little gifts from home, such as soap, make up, clothes that I don't wear anymore, they absolutely love it! -Beach: Beautiful, not overly crowded at this time of year. -Pools: Very nice, clean. We had a lot of fun at the foam party and the animation team was great. The afternoon competitions are so funny! -Restaurants: We went to the reservation desk and got reservations at many restaurants. The Teppeniyaki was our favourite. -Buffet: The food was just ok.It would be nice to have more variety. -Bars: The alcohol is their local brand and low in alcohol and tastes watered down. lf you drink rum and coke, for example, I prefer to buy my own bottle of rum at the market and mix my own drinks. Overall review: This resort is a smaller resort, so don't expect the Bahia Principe. We paid a decent price for the value of this all-inclusive. There are a lot of mosquitoes, which are almost invisible to the eye. I got bitten all over and my husband hardly a bite! Bring mosquito repellent and after bite, or you'll end up scratching your legs for the entire week! Lastly, something that is not on the review list which is what I call THE VIBE: Feel the warm breeze through the palm trees, the hot sun, the birds singing, smile and say Hola to the friendly hardworking employees, the vendors at the beach, the entertainment team, the music playing, meet new people, learn to take it all in and to relax and enjoy your vacation :) :)

This hotel was everything we could need. The rooms were beautiful, the grounds are kept so well. The workers there are always cleaning and so helpful and kind. I went with my 5 year old son and he loved it, from the tram to the waterslides, the bowling and arcade, something to keep him busy. When we checked in we received a 2 queens room vs. the 1 king i requested, but by the next day they had us moved to the king room no issues whatsoever. Noise level was quite low and everyone was super kind and helpful. Definitely not so much a party resort so if that is what you are looking for this wouldnt be the resort for you, but families or a relaxing holiday most definitely!!

Very happy in choosing Caribe Deluxe Princess. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. Workers are constantly cleaning the pathways and around the pool daily. The public washrooms are the nicest I’ve ever seen on a resort and always clean. Close to building A you will find a pond with peacocks close by and flamingos and a variety of ducks and even a crane. We loved the walkway from the main resort area to the lobby along a path where one could see iguanas, various birds, turtles. For those not wanting to walk a trolley is available. The lobby is spacious, with a bar that is always accessible and no long line ups. There is also a coffee shop and ice cream shop in that area which we usually went to in the evening. The pools were awesome and we usually went to the middle pool. Bar close by and small buffet for lunch so you didn’t have to leave the pool area, could sit there or at pool to eat. Rooms had been renovated and no complaints here. The only negative here is that we didn’t always get our towels and had to request them. The wifi is hit and miss, usually miss. We made all our dinner reservations from customer service in the lobby. We especially enjoyed the Brazilian steakhouse, Italian and Japanese restaurant where they cook in front of a small group, entertaining. Buffet was ok, can always find something you like. Some items could have been hotter. Service was good as the people are hard workers. We had no issues with vendors at all on the beach as some people have noted. Maybe a couple people asked if we were interested in a massage but that was it, once we said no thanks they didn’t pursue. Large beach with white powdery sand and of course seaweed which they tried to clean up but no control over that. Strong waves with an undertow but still fun to play in, just be careful. The bus ride to the resort was an hour with stops and we had to wait about 40 minutes before bus even left airport. Next time we’d take a taxi. I think someone said it was $40 US Also, when leaving the country you have to pay $20 US p/p which we didn’t know. They make it very clear only US dollar yet we paid $20 US for one of us and $1200 pesos for myself. Sunwing rep said it was fine and it was, nothing was said at airport. They just want to push the US dollar in my opinion. Also, we tipped in pesos. Many tipped in US.

This resort had alot to offer! It had everything from bowling, relaxing in the sports bar, to enjoying a cup of coffee or an ice cream. The buffet had great food, and the a la carte had even better food. We definitely did not leave hungry! The staff was very helpful and friendly as well which made our stay even better. I would definitely stay at the Caribe Deluxe Princess again.

Nicely updated resort that is modern. Great family getaway. Would highly recommend. The highlights: Grounds - very beautiful and well maintained. Enjoyed the walks and seeing variety of wildlife roaming the property. Pools - 3 big pools, each with its own characteristics. The kids pool and the water park with slides was a nice bonus for those with young kids. Beach - deep with lots of seating and shady options. Lots of sandy areas to play volleyball, throw a Frisbee or kick a ball around. Room - upgraded to the caribe deluxe suite. We had a 3rd floor room, great view of the pool and a little of the ocean. Extras - enjoyed the coffee and ice cream shops (included). Shutout to Dania, Emilio!! They helped us out with a large group for lunch and dinners. Great service, smile and attitude! Food was good. Lots of options with a variety of fresh salads, fruits. They kept hot dishes coming out regularly. Tried a few restaurants and they were good as well. Just OK or Dislikes: -Sunwing! airline delays, poor communication. -Sports bar had some optional $ attractions like a small bowling alley and video arcade. Not a big fan with these type of extra costs. -Nighttime entertainment was just okay. -Some seaweed although this occurred after a storm. This is outside the hotels control; and they do make an effort to clean up. -Most of the staff don't speak much English.

As a seasoned all inclusive traveller, I cannot say enough about this resort! From the check in, to the food, grounds, rooms, pools and beach, it was perfect! The grounds are like a nature park and kept immaculately. I can honestly say I have never stayed at a resort as well maintained or as clean as this one. The layout of the main buffet restaurant is brilliant, as the food area is in a separate space, closed in by sliding doors, separating where you dine from the commotion of where you get the food. While we did try one a la carte restaurant (Mexican), we ended up cancelling the others we had booked. The buffet was fantastic. The fresh salad/vegetable options, we could not get enough of. The location of the beach was about the best on the strip. Wide beach and not crazy busy, like other parts of the beach strip. There could be more beach loungers and palapas, as one did have to get to the beach early (7:30ish) in order to secure a shady spot and lounger. Rooms were recently renovated and beautiful. Loads of hot water, comfortable beds and AC worked perfectly. There were a lot of families and young children at this resort, so if you are looking for a more mature, quiet place, this might not be for you. That being said, we did not encounter any noise problems or loud, misbehaving travellers. We had a fantastic week and would return in a heart beat!

This has been our 15th time at this hotel but the first since covid. We were very impressed with the recent renovations, the only thing that we didn't like, is that the buffet restaurant is now much smaller. And that the beach bar is now vip only. Yes there is a bar at the other end, but you must wear shoes in the building. Most people walked into the back of the swim up bar to get a drink. Other than those minor inconveniences, everything else was great beach a+, rooms great, mattress very comfortable.

Beautiful resort with lovely well kept grounds. Buildings clean, several restaurants with varied menus, all good, we had opportunity to eat at five of the restaurants. Two items of concern, poor signing of the buildings ie. the restaurants. The Resort itself was not signed. Second concern, very poor to no communication of what the resort had to offer. Suggestion, a daily flier listing activities of the day.

The hotel exceeded our expectations. They did a great job renovating. The rooms were amazing. Restaurants were fantastic and the ice cream and coffee shop were great and fun to visit. Regarding the buffet it was very nice and the food was very good especially the desserts! The grounds were immaculate and always clean and tidy. The wildlife was a treat to see. Weather was perfect to 28C and sunny. We would also like to comment that the grounds people, working staff and management were kind, sweet and extremely friendly. Great job everyone. This was our 3rd time there. Looking forward to many more years. Great trip. On another note nothing to do with the resort. West jet was very disappointing airline. The West jet agent was not available even after talking to him personally by phone made no attempt to come to the resort. We were informed he would be there between 1-5pm. He actually came at 11am and stayed till 12:00 noon. Another person from West jet called and said he would come to the resort for a fee$. When trying to call the West jet toll free phone number at least a half a dozen times there was no answer or recording available. Very disappointing. The other airline reps at the resort did offer assistance especially Sunwing agent. West jet will not be my preferred airline going forward.

This was our 8th trip to this Resort and we absolutely love the beach, pool and the walk through the mangrove is our so wonderful. The updates to your resort since our last trip are amazing. Your staff couldn’t be nicer, friendlier and more helpful and the food is exceptional. Lots to do do never feel you have to leave the resort ..looking forward to our next trip🥰

Hotel is renovated, public bathrooms are very clean and well maintained. Food is reasonably good, we were satisfied. First 4 days Sargassum was unbelievable, not only in the water but on the beach also. They used Stone Age technology-workers putting grass into bags and bringing them to the point where they were taking them with pickup truck. For 4 days we could not even get to the water. They were not able to clear 1 meter passage to the water. That was scary. Hotels on either side of this one had beaches much better maintained using proper equipment. The worse is the hotel was silent about that and that was scary, we did not know what to expect. After 4 days they brought truck to remove the grass and after that they succeeded to maintain the low level of the sargassum on the beach. Bedrooms could be cleaned better, balcony and bathroom floor were not wipped for days although they cleaned the room every day. Sometimes we had to wait for the end of the day to get towels in the room. Entertainment is on lower side. I do not think that we will go there again.

THE UPGRADES TO THE WALKWAYS AND THE HALLS IS EXCELLANT THE ROOMS ARE ALSO AIRY AND THE DECOR AND BEDS ARE GREAT WE WERE ON THE MAIN FLOOR WITH A WALKOUT PRIVATE SEATING AREA LOOKING ONTO THE POOL AND THE SWIM UP BAR THE STAFF ARE VERY FRIENDLY . THE FOOD WAS GOOD TO OUR TASTES WE HAD A GREAT SELECTION OF INTERNATIONAL FOODS TOO CHOOSE FROM .THE STAFF IN THE RESTUARANTS AND BUFFET ARE FRIENDLY AND INTENTIVE AT 79 THE SAFE AT FLOOR LEVEL NOT A GOOD CHOICE BY YOU FOR ANYONE REQUESTING A GROUND FLOOR

The hotel is in a swamp area so bring bug spray!! While there we got eaten alive by sand fleas - I had to take allergy medication cause the itch was so intense! Rooms also had mosquitoes. No central place to hang out and chill other than the lobby, would be good if there was a lounge area with TVs and games room for those rainy days! Would be nice to have wifi throughout the hotel other than in the lobby area. Tried most of the a la cartes with the exception of the Italian restaurant. The food in the Dominican, and Mexican was good. The Brazilian had potential however almost all if the meats served were undercooked including the chicken, fish and pork. Otherwise, this hotel is good for a cheap cheerful getaway - just dont go with high expectations - you pay for what you get. All staff we encountered were very hard working and friendly - especially Audelina and Artiris in the main dining room. Francis and Wally at the beach bar were fabulous and made the best Mai Tai's.

I thought the whole resort was excellent. The grounds were beautifully kept, the food was delicious, the staff were all friendly, and the rooms were nice. Only two gripes I have are that there never seemed to be enough seating in the lobby bar area and that there were constantly people selling excursions in the booth rights beside the towel hut. Every time I went for a towel exchange we'd have several people hound us about zip lining, buggy riding, etc. They are relentless salesman and it's awkward to keep telling them 'no' without being mean to them. All-in-all though our entire group had such an incredible week and we would definitely recommend this place to a friend if they're going to Punta Cana. Thanks for the amazing vacation!

I thought this resort was amazingly beautiful, fun and eventful. It met all are needs. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone who likes to be close to the beach. The staff was welcoming and helpful.

Everything was perfect.... lots of time to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner Staff were terrific, always smiling happy to see us, service was exceptional. Even the bar service knew my preferences and had the drink ready. Room service was ok... kept forgetting there were 2 of us and had to be reminded on the face washers and hand towels.... but the rooms were very clean and beds were made without a wrinkle in the sheets. I'll be back!!

We really enjoyed our stay at this resort. The staff were gracious and courteous. Our room was perfectly spacious for the 3 of us (myself and 2 teenage daughters). The entertainment crew had great energy and amped up the fun level. The grounds were beautiful and well kept and we enjoyed all the birds, turtles and iguanas in a natural setting. We enjoyed the comradeship and impromptu dancing in the lobby in the evenings!

The Caribe Club Princess is a wonderful place to spend a week. The staff, food and drinks are all great. The grounds are well kept and the buildings are in fair condition. The beachfront at this resort is awesome and we never had trouble getting a chair at the beach or pool. There are vendors at the beach peddling wares. They respect a firm no and will leave you alone after it if you aren't interested in buying anything. However, our first night at the resort a flea market was positioned directly in front of the building my room was in and the vendors were extremely aggressive, trying every trick in their book to have you buy from them. It was a bad first impression. This is an ecological resort with a mangrove and wildlife. There are many birds lizards and turtles around to view and enjoy. I see no reason not to return to this resort if I travel to the Dominican Republic again.

We found the service was great! Never waited in line for a drink or a table at the buffet. Lots of room around the pools to have either sun or shade. Could walk the beach for miles. The crepe house and Brazilian restaurants were our favourites! Audelina and Rosa always had a smile!

We had a wonderful experience at Caribe Club Princess. Staff amazing as was food. Loved the walk past mangrove to the lobby. Felt safe at all times. Have been here 6 times now alone and with family. Beach fabulous. Rooms really need to be updated especially washroom but always cleaned well. Would recommend to friends. Hope they don’t change lobby or buffet as beautiful...also hope mangrove walk stays as is as this is one of main reasons we keep coming back.

Love this resort especially walking to lobby past mangrove and the geese and peacocks and other wildlife. Food was good and staff friendly. Beautiful beach and lovely lobby and buffet building. Only negative is the rooms needing much updating which we understand is being done.

We were here January 17-24 2020. Resort grounds were immaculate and beautiful. Creates a good feeling with the wildlife around you. Food was average but with upgrades they are doing this year to the resort, hopefully food will improve as well. Rooms were dated in decor but satisfactory. Again, with the Reno’s they are doing this year, rooms will no doubt be fantastic. Beach was absolutely beautiful and no shells or stones anywhere that we could see. Water was beautiful, warm but a little wavy at times. Venders were on beach but didn’t bother us unless you engaged. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Overall, we would definitely go back to this resort with out a problem. We would recommend this resort to couples or families without hesitation. This resort is safe with good security and quite beautiful with a colourful rustic flare in design (departing from the average white of every other hotel around). The biggest drawback about Punta Cana in general is that everyone is trying to sell you something. Everyone seems to get a cut of whatever they can convince you to buy whether it be an excursion...(beware of Sunwing right from the get go convincing you to go elsewhere...long bus rides and never worth it to us) to peddlers on the beach shoreline. They are not allowed onto the property itself so rarely do they bother you here compared to anytime you may leave the resort. But if you are interested in purchasing something everyone is ready to barter if you have the time and patience. There are gorgeous mangroves throughout the expansive property laden with all types of organic flora and fauna.....pink flamingos and various other gorgeous creatures in the various ponds en route to your hotel room. Several peacocks show up at the Crepery (very good crepes) around 5pm each day for some bread crumbs, lots of kittens around too making having a coffee most enjoyable...(and you can get a latte there pretty much any time through the day which they don't mention). You can walk the various paths or just catch the train trolley running about every 10 minutes, but be sure to be at a "stop" for some drivers may not stop for you if you just try to flag one down. It can be confusing figuring out where you are some of the time the paths are so curvy and intertwined. We stayed in a suite for the extra space with a lovely view overlooking the quiet pool with partial sea view. We would leave our door ajar a bit at night to sleep to the sound of the water but this year it was rainy there so we let in some mosquitos and got bit, never saw a single one when we did this last year when it rarely rained.These rooms are in a little rough shape and are due for the renovations that will be coming up in June when they close for 6 mths to re-do all the rooms at the resort. The staff there on the whole are very accommodating and friendly. Their earnings are so minimal they really rely on your generosity to tip to earn any sort of living so most try hard. We tried to tip a little as much as possible based on how much extra they genuinely did make our stay pleasant. We took a particular shine to Theresa at the excellent Brazilan, Rodizzio, and Crepery and most particularly Emilio, a true gentleman, who really created the best atmosphere and made our stay very enjoyable in his company...always going the extra mile for us. You will find that everyone there works at different places doing different jobs at times as well. Because it is a "Club" type of resort it attracts a lot of party people that like to drink. The entertainment at the resort pretty much caters to these people. The performers/dancers in the nightly shows are very good but the program is rather dated, lacking a certain sophistication we are accustomed to at home...The Michael Jackson show is not to be missed though! There were very few cultured type people when we first arrived but it improved as the week progressed. The food on the whole is very good and we heard was better than most of the higher end hotels in the area. Drinks pour all day. The resort will soon be priced out after the renovations so if you can find a deal now best to take it. The beach is the nicest we found in the entire area! Hope you have good weather!

Lovely resort. Well kept grounds Very friendly staff. Helpful and attentive to guests needs. We enjoyed the food. Wish there was more things for senior people to do. Basically if we weren't having drinks we were sitting around the pools.

This is our 3rd time at this resort and it does not disappoint. Clean, staff is very friendly and we will be back! 3 pools, one with a swim up bar which is alot of fun! Water is a little rough and current is strong but we are pool people so it's ok for us.

It was our second stay in this resort and the quality definitely went down. Our room required renovation. Service was not great, especially in the bars. Restaurant staff was not great, we had to wait to get water or drinks. And on the top of everything there were cockroaches in our room.

Hubby and I stayed at the Caribe Club Princess for 14 days in October, 2019. The resort was exactly as described in the reviews. It was very clean, the rooms were huge, the staff very friendly. No language barrier at the front desk and throughout the resort. Grounds worked on everyday. Animation team excellent. Would definitely return.

My 4th time here. Very good and love it..only issues we had were no a/c in the bathroom, housekeeper stalked very low quantity of water; 4 bottles, per dayfor two people. No coffee maker in room. Couldn't get more water when calling guest services 3 times. Balcony was in a corner that blocked the fresh breeze and no view. Asked for ocean view room and were denied. Appreciated the fruit tray in lieu of a room swap. I love it there and very comfortable. The wait staff are friendly and lively. Animation team are entertaining and friendly.

This not my first stay at Caribe Club Princess(CCP). But CCP is due for renovations and unless I can make it down at Christmas it will be my last at least until the rebuild is done. I ll miss the parties in the great big pool. The sunrises on the beach. The 6 or 7 servers that know just how much milk I like in my coffee each morning before I am fit to talk to other humans, or that I like this much red wine. Or the ladies at the front desk that remember me each time. I am sure the Princess people will do a great job with the rebuild but you can almost feel the history of fun and relaxation in this place. Well groomed and clean resort. About their help line for guest services, sometimes they don't answer the phone. Only people at the front desk speak english. Sometimes they say the creperie cannot make crespes and you have to come back later etc. the idea is to create some sort of minor confusion so you will tip them and get things done.

Caribe club princess ,,Punta Cana ,,Dominican ,,absolutely beautiful resort ,,, I was on the third floor facing the ocean and pool in the cayena building ,,,big room ,high pitched ceiling ,,was kept very clean ,,everything worked ,, The pillows are chipped foam ,,,after my first night I asked for two more pillows and received two much better pillows right away A la Cartes could book right in my building ,,,,no long waits and easy obtainable,,,they were all good ,, Trolley ran constantly,,there are stops throughout the resort The food at the buffet was plenty of choices ,,,lots of bacon 🥓,,,fruit ,,fresh doughnuts ,,etc ,etc The staff was awesome ,,, Great for everyone ,,,,party or otherwise ,,young or older Three nice big pools ,,, Lots of ducks ,birds ,,flamingos,,iguanas,,etc Beach is great ,,,the waves are a little strong if you r not underwater swimmer My husband and I were there two weeks ,,we are in our sixties ,,April 19th to May 3rd ,,first time ,,have been to many resorts ,caribe club princess ,is a beautiful resort ,,I have no complaints and rate it very high ,,would I return ,,definitely,,,

The room was dated but very clean, staff were friendly and helpful and the beach was beautiful. Pools were clean and food was good. Favorite a la carte was the Brazilian. Best morning Buffet was at the Punta Cana Princess which you have access to as well as your own buffet. Would rate 3 1/2 stars overall.

Let me start by saying we are seasoned travellers 40 yrs going to the carribean, and pretty easy going. We do not expect perfection lets face it this is the carribean. Unless you pay for 5 star we dont expect it. That being said The beach and grounds are beautiful but had to rise by 6am to get a beach chair. This hotel is not a 4 star as advertised very misleading.  rooms are not only tired the bedding faded and worn, roof leaks , air leaks and mold.  Robes hanging in our closet were thread bare Food was mediocre at best buffet terrible. Staff even says it should be shut down and renovated.  Most staff were pleasant front lobby staff was wonderful. The lady that took care of our room was also good. Room was always clean , but had issues with a few rude in other areas ....Sunwing shuttle bus offered to take us to an off resort store for small fee we thought this would be okay  as they were sunwing  employees  had ID and we were 2 women.  Guide and drive made inappropriate comments saying after we had left resort   oh 1 for me 1 for driver.  We were scared to say the least and glad to get back to the resort safe.  Our friend became quite ill after being in their room a few days, roof leaked above bed , air did not,  phone cord cut. finally got them moved  we are sure air was full of mold as after a few days she felt a bit better.  Our room had toilet problems  and leaking air,  puddles on the floor.  Took 4 hrs and yelling in the phone to get toilet fixed.  We paid over 4100$ for this holiday  what a waste  worst vacation ever hotel wise.   Stop sending people here  

I always enjoy my time while there. Clean rooms, good food, friendly and wonderful staff. The pool area is nice but the beach is the best part. Entertainment is good all around. I love it there and for sure will be back!

We had an amazing time, resort was very clean, staff were polite and good food! No one got sick from the food. Furniture in room a bit outdated but you only sleep in there. Cleaners were always on time and room fridge always stocked

Our first visit to this resort, 3rd to the Dominican Republic. We found the booking very easy and the agents very helpful. The resort offers a lot of things that we didn't expect, like a 24 hour beach bar and snack bar, a fantastic beach you can walk for miles, a bird sanctuary along the walkways, free or inexpensive shuttles for shopping and for a few extra dollars to VIP extras that are well worth it. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the food is very good. The buffet offers enough freshly made items that you don't need the ala carts, but they are worth the night to visit also. Thank you for a great week! The only thing that I found needed a bit of an upgrade was the bed in our room was due for an upgrade and a few more pillows for us. But will visit again.

My friends and I just got back to the bitter cold but we were grateful for the week at the Caribe Club Princess :) They did a great job of making us forget the cold! Loved the beaches the people and the sun!

There is no way that this is a 4 star resort! I spoke to several others there at the same time and all agreed. I would give it a solid 3 star. The grounds are beautiful, the pool where we were which I think is Pool #1 has stains on the floor of it so you can see it so we stayed at the beach. The rooms are ok, but that's it, ok. My toilet leaked, my ceiling leaked, all was fixed but again not the best impression. Seaweed at the beach in the water but it was ok, never a server for drinks so don't even bother with that, which is fine but most places have servers, I didn't see any at the pools either. The food was repetitive but ok, nothing special for sure, all fine to eat, you didn't get sick. The alacart restaurants were good, Brazillian and Italian the best ones. Take it from me, it was ok, just not a 4 star, had my wife been with my son and I, she would have not liked it at all, but for my 7 year old and I, it was a good vacation.

The beach and outdoors was spectacular! The inside however could use upgrading, like new beds, new sliding doors and new bathroom upgrades. It was livable since your not In your room much just the shower and sleep mainly. The cleaning wasn't the best. There was a spot of blood that we noticed behind the toilet the first day and hair in the shower which neither were even touched the whole week we were there. I wasn't happy with no elevators as I and my boyfriend had difficulties getting up to the 3rd floor many times during the day. Next time I would take a bottom floor or. Have a ramp in place. The food was amazing and no complaints there....lots for the kids to do such as archery, pool tables and ping pong which we did all. The shows were pretty good but the host was quite annoying g telling the audience to applaud over and over. If the show is good , there will be no need to ask an audience to applaud. Very repetitive to say the least but the shows were in fact pretty good , especially the Micheal Jackson show. I would go again but give it 4 stars until the upgrades are done, then it could be a 5 star.

The hotel was great! Great food, amazing beach, and very clean ground. The hotel could have had better service in terms of room service and considering there is non drinking water from the bathroom they kept our fridge full of bottled water.

My second time at Caribe. Overall I’m satisfied and very pleased with my stay. The food, entertainment, grounds, and most staff are amazing! I say most because the customer service at the front desk lacks customer service skills, and needs serious training in pleasant customer service. I found a couple ladies very rude and not helpful. This type of behaviour will for sure damage the resorts reputation and kill business. The group I was with strongly agree.

Just got home from a week at club caribe. The resort is "good". The room was clean and everything worked. Never had an issue with lack of electricity or hot water. The in room safe is included in the price. The resort appears to be well maintained and repaired when needed. There are several restaurants (we did 5 a la cart). The beach is clean. Although there is a distance between the lobby and rest of the resort it is a nice scenic walk - or you can take the trolley. I say this resort is good as there was no big wow factor. I would give it a solid 3 rating not a 4 or 4+ (as it claims). The downfall and main reason I wouldn't give it a higher rating was the Buffet. Having travelled a fair amount I have been to many buffets and don't have particularly high expectations. This one was repetitive - lunch and breakfast everyday the same. Supper did change theme every night. When researching resorts it can get confusing as there is the caribe club as well as the tropical princess - the two are on the same property and I believe the tropical princess is just one section of villas. Otherwise they share all amenities. While there 90% of the vacationers were European and I believe the buffet must cater to this (which makes sense) however in doing so there were very few dishes that were appealing. They had your basics- meat, pasta, fish but beyond that many of the side dishes and salads were unappetizing looking choices- pickles squid, wiener slices in brine etc. Food was always cooked properly and no one went hungry but it did take some planning and creativity. I venture to say that the buffets in Cuba may have been better than here. The staff are polite and willing to help and I never felt pressured to tip. After speaking with others on our flight who stayed at other resorts the caribe club sounds like it may be one of the better choices. This resort also appears to cater to families- there were quite a few there during our week. Under the right circumstances (price) I would consider it again.

Had an amazing and wonderful time at Caribe Club Princess. Excellent service, well maintained and clean rooms, accessibility to beach, pool, theater etc., was great. Shuttle service whenever needed! We were very disappointed with this resort as the resort had age and was not kept up to our expectations of a 4-star superior resort. We had seen multiple star ratings for this resort listed online. The star ratings were misleading as they were not consistent across online reviews. The rooms were in need of a massive overhaul; mold issues, rust issues, old uncomfortable mattress and thread bare linens. We also had a toilet that required four maintenance visits to stop continually running (and still was not repaired). If bland, spice-less food is your preference then the buffet is a good choice. Unfortunately the buffet could not accommodate a variety of dietary needs and we were very disappointed with the choices for vegetarians. We did speak with guest services and their solution was to present me with a letter to present to the buffet hostess regarding my dietary requirements, but most of the times this letter was misunderstood and I was presented with fish as an option (not an option for a vegetarian-vegan dietary restrictions). The Dominican restaurant served an amazing vegetarian dish and we were very happy with the selections at this restaurant so much so that we went twice. In my opinion the a la cart restaurants were the only redeeming factor as far as food was concerned. We were disappointed by the solicitation occurring right on the resort. We were constantly being solicited the entire time we were there and multiple times during the day. Vendors were set up every night outside of the buffet and they were aggressive in their sales tactics, as were the companies attempting to sell you your next vacation package or a vacation package membership. Talking to staff and locals we were told that this is normal but this is the first time I have ever encountered this much solicitation while on a resort and I was surprised that this was permitted. Yes everyone does need to make a living but I was very disappointed that a simple no thank you did not suffice. The beach was beautiful, lots of shade and shady beach huts.

This is my second time going to this resort in 2 years. I had such a great vacation here the first time I brought two other couples with me this year. The staff is extremely friendly. The food is some of the best that I have had in Punta Cana. There is lots of work being done on the grounds making everything look beautiful. Sadly the quality of the rooms has decreased drastically since I was last here. I don't mind dated rooms as long as they are clean and functional. This time the condition of the room we had was beyond acceptable. The curtains were black from dirt and mold with holes in them from being aged. Our patio door would not open. A few days into the trip the other side of the patio door was jammed off the track (I am assuming by the cleaning staff) so was partially open all the time which was concerning for me when they fogged the resort . Our phone didn't work and the batteries died in the safe with all our medication locked inside. Our friends were put in three different rooms within the first 3 days, all of which the air conditioning did not work. Despite all this I still enjoyed my vacation but based on the room conditions alone I would not return here..

Clean and friendly, and great beach location. Safe boxes seem to need some tlc, had to get mine checked 3x until they decided to change the battery. Missed that little extra smile or « thanks and come again » at least from the reception on the way out, but maybe that person had a bad day on that day. Fantastic staff at the buffet and in the lobby bar, thank you very much for the smiles and good sense of humor.

I thought the overall resort was good but rooms a A/C units need to be updated badly....we had 3 different rooms and the air conditioning either didn't work or for very poorly they didn't really want to give us another room our WestJet representative had to get after them!!!

This is our second time in as many years at this resort. We returned to many reasons. The grounds are beautiful, the food is good with lots of variety. The beach is absolutely gorgeous and you can walk forever. Rooms are spacious and clean. The staff is so friendly and helpful. They are a big reason we came back. One of our favorite things about this resort is how close everything is. The rooms, restaurants, pools and the beach and all very close to each other. Very convenient. We have been to bigger resorts but this one is our favorite. See you next year!

My husband and I stayed at this resort from FEB13-23/18. The staff were welcoming with a warm smile! Our room was on the third floor... it was spacious and clean albeit the furniture was dated.The balcony was also large and we had a view of the pools and of the beautiful blue ocean.The food was good with a varied menu of selections.At the beach there was always palapas available so you did not have to go early to reserve a spot. Wifi was only available in the lobby but it was free.Our room was always cleaned by housekeeping in the morning with fresh towels stocked daily. The mini fridge was also replenished on a daily basis. Thank you to the Caribe Club Princess for the hospitality!!!

When we arrived at our room we were disgusted. It was so old looking and smelled musty. Being so late at night we had to stay there. No sleep that night and this was an upper class room. I wasn't happy with my agent at that time. We complained and they said they would help us at 9am next morning. We sat in the lobby all the next day waiting for a room. They offered for us to change resorts at a cost of $1000 each. Imagine. We declined. Finally they took us to look at the lower class rooms late afternoon. They were great, clean and updated. We lost at least a day but it turned out a lot better after the room disaster was corrected. The alacartes were good until the cats entered and the birds flying around. The buffet was just ok. I would not go back there myself but not saying it is a bad resort. All in all it was an ok trip. Cheers

I travel south every winter so know what to expect. Arrived at Caribe Club Princess and when I got to my "superior" room the view was a cement wall,a fence to the adjoining property and a water pump house. Also a toilet not fastened to the floor. Rm 1139 I went to reception and arranged for a room change but they could only accommodate me the next day at three. Tipped the lady at reception and I did get a room that overlooked the main pool. The grounds for the resort are tropical gardens and clean. So my room had the air conditioner running and ceiling fan. I turned it all off but still felt cold when I came in from the sun. The king size bed had a thin white sheet and a decorative foot fabric and matching pillow. No blankets. No bed spread so I used the bath towels for warmth. NO hot water not even luke warm in the room I left or the new room for the entire week. Checked with others and they had the same. Some had hot water for a day or two during there stay. The joke was we would all come to their room to shower. Day two started signs of diarrhea so started the Imodium I brought. Next day, not good, so borrowed Imodium from friends. Still not good so bought some at the pharmacy. Started a sparse diet of bread and rice. No food Wednesday at all. Just bottled water. That evening I called for medical help. The resort doctor, a petite young girl, was the best. Spoke English and was MOST helpful. She arranged for me to go the the Bavaro hospital. Stool sample verified acute gastro infection, severe dehydration. I was to stay for a minimum three days but signed a waiver to discharge myself so I could get my plane back home. More horror to tell but I learned a lesson No Dominican Republic for me even if I win a trip.

Our room location was perfect with easy access to the pool, bar and ocean. The resort is on the smaller size with easy access to all the activities, great for families, lots of wildlife to enjoy as well.

We arrived at the resort (myself and my 2 adult kids) at about 2:15 pm and was told our room would be ready at 3:00. We finally got the room at around 6:30. I am not that picky about the room I stay in. I like it clean, half decent water pressure in the shower, comfortable bed. The room we finally end in up in was the 3rd room they had given us. The first was never ready (they kept telling us 15 minutes until I asked to speak with the manager - never connected), in the second room we were sent to, the room hadn't completed being cleaned (no towels, some beding not there, ...). The 3rd room was very run down. Toilets with seats that were broken, crooked light switches, no lights to see into closets, safe faceplate was broken, no floor towel, no hand towels (and multiple days they didn't replace the towels at all). There were 3 towels. No amount of going to front desk or calling made any difference. The unit had two rooms and each had a bathroom. About the 5th night, we returned from the evening outing and the floor of the larger of the bathrooms was flooded with water dripping from above. After multiple calls to the front desk, I was told that no one was on duty and it would have to wait until the morning. About two hours later, knocking at my door woke me up and it was a maintenance person. I spoke with the Sunquest rep. on site but nothing was ever done. We made the best of this expense vacation (the beach was nice and the food was above average) but I would never recommend this establishment.

Meals were great, staff was awesome and very accommodating, the beaches were nice, pools area were well maintained. The nightly entertainment was only ok, rooms were a good size and very clean. The drinks and bars were very well stocked.

It is a larger resort but very easy to get around and find every thing Found the food above average. They had something for everyone and I am a fussy eater Got to meet a great bartender that now I call a friend Peter Fiores. If you go here make sure you see him and tell him Reg (aka Jack Daniels) sent you In the buffet we sat in the area with Fran as our server and again he did everything in his power to make us happy Rooms were average but kept very clean All in all a very nice resort I would go here again. The only problem are other guests from other countries that are very rude but that's not the Resorts fault

Not many bad things to say about this resort. The staff is very friendly the grounds are beyond beautiful, the food is amazing! (Seafood restaurant may not be the freshest) The one thing this resort needs is more beach chairs!!! Otherwise a fantastic trip.

We choose this resort for the beach and it was amazing. Rooms were clean and had everything we needed. The service was great. From housekeeping, reception , serving staff, everyone was very friendly and helpful. The food was good. Always a variety. Our favourite was the pasta bar! The grounds were beautiful and very well kept. We would definitely go back to this resort. One thing that could be improved is perhaps more chairs at the beach. We would get up a 6am to get chairs and there was very few left by this time.

Positives: Lovely grounds, good variety food and drinks, excellent service by staff and clean resort. Negatives: Rooms are old and outdated and there is low water pressure in the showers. You have to get up very early to get a lounger on the beach or the pool. You won't find anything available past 6:30 am. Other note: The beach is made up of beautiful white sand and turquoise water. However, it is very wavy and not suitable for swimming or small children. Something to consider when booking.

Room: not amazing, but clean, and housekeeping was amazing Food: excellent; We loved the Italian and the seafood place (which wasn't included) but found it convenient to use the main buffet. Always something to please, and staff was so friendly and attentive. Beach: amazing Activities: lots available, if you choose to get involved, but we just wanted to relax. Went on a full day trip to Saona Island, and was a great bang for your buck. Went on a bus for about an hour, onto a catamaran for a couple of hours with music, dancing, and drinks. On arrival to the island, you walk through a palm tree forest to the beach on the other side with a BBQ and buffet, about an hour and a half on the beach, and then back to the other side to take a speedboat to a place where you could swim with and find starfish, then back to the bus, and home. So fun, for about $100 US each, but found tickets online for about $75 each. Grounds and pools were immaculate. Loved, loved, loved it. Can't wait to return!

Beach was amazing. Pool was good but very cold and very limited chairs/seating. Restaurants were great and excellent service. The only major problem was the amount of up-selling/soliciting you receive on a constant basis. It used to be just vendors/locals who ask you to buy different items now the resort itself is always trying to solicit. It seems like every 10 minutes you get approached to buy an excursion or water sports package. Directly infront of the buffet is a table where aggressive sales people try to get you to meet with them regarding their 'vacation club'. At night time, there are jewelry/art vendors right on the high traffic paths aggressively trying to sell you merchandise. I felt like a walking dollar sign the entire week. No one seemed to understand that you've ALREADY paid thousands of dollar just to be at the resort..

The grounds and beach were very well kept. The buffet was average but the ala carts we went to were great , Asian, Italian and Brazilian. along with the seafood . The rooms are old and the workers were not friendly. We had trouble 2 days in a row with our room and they did not care . They have a huge issue with people reserving chairs and not using them all day on the beach and by the pool. there is not enough chairs .They need to be regulated .There was almost fists flying in 2 separate instances Will I go back there (probably not)

Me and my wife been to punta cana 6 times and this was by far are worst experience......honeymoon happens just once and for two weeks we regrets booking in this hotel.The beach is nice but after 8 impossible to get a chair even at the pool.Food a la carte was ok but the buffet was very repetitive 6 times on 9 breakfast nobody came to serve us coffee or somethink to drink.Dominicaine employee seem to be so unhappy at this resort a first for us the maid dindt change towel we where suppose to be like vip since we where in honeymoon suite we PAID EXTRA FOR THAT.Room service and maid was so awfull.We where change to a royal suite because the air conditionning dint work in are room the royal suite was nice but it came with cockroach that was a first to.........i could go on and on with this nightmare.We work so hard all year to be able to pay extra for are honeymoon this was the most expensive trip and by far the worst.....

Good walkable beach but a bit too wavy to make use of watersports. I emailed a room request in advance of my arrival and although they responded electronically they totally ignored my request. A/C was not the greatest. Most of the time it was 24 C in our room. It did drop to 23.5 once. Had it checked and they said it was perfect! Had the VIP which includes free room service and due to the fact that we had 3 rainy days (February 2017) we had some meals delivered :) You can dine in a la cartes every night and can book every meal at once in the lobby (you need insect repellant in the lobby). Favourites were Mexican and Asian. We did not try Dominican on the advice of people we met. The Brazilian was just a lot of tasteless meat. VIP also gave us a meal in the seafood restaurant. We had lobster which was delicious and huge. Unfortunately my husband's was not fully cooked. Need to "reserve" your chair at the beach well before 9 am. VIP includes beach towels in your room and if you ask they will exchange them in the evening. We went to a couple of shows in the evening and they were better than we expected. Sunwing flight was delayed and Rep made no attempt to let us know that our hotel departure was changed. In hindsight, if I had data on my phone I would have received an email from Tripcentral at 7:45am. In summary, Punta Cana is a nice place to get away from winter and the resort was okay but I would probably try another resort in the future.

We truly enjoyed our trip, the beach was beautiful with flour like sand, there was two bars on the beach with one of them serving food 24hrs a day. The resort grounds were very nice and clean and the staff was superb. The layout of the resort was great with all the amenities within a 2min walk. The ala carts were great and no problem booking any of them. The rooms are getting a bit dated but were kept very clean. To some people that may be important but we didn't head south to sit in our rooms :). I would recommend if you choose this resort to get the VIP package, you get access to all the restaurants, bottle of rum, cigars and fruit basket as a welcome gift as well as other perks. Your beach towels are in your room along with slippers and a robe. You also have access to all the premium drinks throughout the resort. The airport is only 17km from the resort.

Aside from the beach we were not overly impressed with this resort. The pools were way to cold. The souvenirs were overpriced and the staff at the whole resort made me feel awkward. I did not feel welcomed at all. The rooms were very musty and way outdated.

Overall, a pretty decent resort! My husband and I stayed from Jan 7-14, 2017 in a honeymoon suite. Room: Not bad-in need of some upgrades. The shower head had awful pressure and the temperature was either hot or cold (we were lucky to get a luk warm temp). The bathroom sink had a lot fo scuff marks and look unappealing, and the floor had quite a few chips in it. Overall, I didn't care too much since the room was clean, big, and a ocean view. Guest Services: Could be improved upon. We were to receive a fruit basket and a bottle of rum in our room upon arrival-which we didn’t. It took three days’ worth of calling to finally receive the items we were supposed to (very frustrating experience). Food: The a la carte restaurants were great! We had dinner at Shangay (do not get the deep fried ice cream-it was beyond disgusting), Mamma Mia, El Pescador, and La Cava. Surprisingly, the buffet had pretty good food. Entertainment: Staff-LOVE the staff. They were the highlight of my trip. There was entertainment on the beach and pool area throughout the day, as well as, fun entertainment at night. Beach: The most beautiful thing I have ever seen. The sand was so soft there was no need for water shoes. Now, the water was fairly rough but I enjoyed it! Bottom Line: We thoroughly enjoyed our honeymoon in the Dominican Republic.

Sewage odours unbearable everywhere, in the rooms, the restaraunt , in the shower water. Rooms were dirty, shower walls covered in film like they had never been cleaned. Air conditioner leaking on floor, reported twice never looked at. Balcony doors almost impossible to open, also reported. Only one chair on balcony for a couple, do we take turns sitting outside? Towels only changed every other day, but they folded one dirty towel into a lovely swan, what a shock when I opened it thinking it was clean and it was still wet from morning shower. Granddaughter (in next room) asked for a towel and after an hour she asked again so the maid unlocked our door and let her go in and take one of ours. That maid had no business letting anyone in our room. Only spanish speaking employees there, even in the lobby. It was very difficult trying to tell them anything. In the resaraunts they looked after everyone who spoke spanish first and left us english speaking people to the last. All the activities were in spanish so we couldnt participate in any of them. The food was terrible in the buffet and the ala carte restaraunts. We paid for a wifi modem but didn't get a charger with it had to use granddaughters cell phone charger, not very convenient since we were in different rooms. Last but not least, who in their right mind steals underwear from someone's luggage. I had six pairs of brand new ones and now only have two of them.

the resort in hold was beautiful the food was awesome the staff was great .the first 31/2 day was depressing because of the rain but after that it was great.I would go back to that resort again in a heart beat especially for the awesome food.that as to be one off the best resorts for food that I ever had.although I was limited as to what I could do due to surgery on my left knee in September and then exactly one month after knee surgery I broke my ankle on my right foot in 2 places so I was in an air cast. overall it was great although I feel I could use another vacation.

Recently it was our 4th time in Caribe club Princess and we were pleased to enjoy this charming Resort once again for our vacation. When we arrived on the service counter we were pleasantly welcomed by Judith ,who arranged everything for us. A wonderful surprise were the armbands she put on us, the color orange , which means VIP. At lunch we went to the buffet and most of the waiters and waitresses came and greeted us with hugs and handshakes. We had a wonderful time and would suggest this Resort to anybody who wants to relax and have a good time. We booked with Kim Hartlen at tripcentral in Bedford and she worked everything out to our satisfaction

Hotel is extremely outdated. Staff is very unfriendly. We paid for VIP package but did not receive any upgrades, as we were told we were not staying there long enough - so why did they charge us for VIP package, take our money and not provide us with any of the benefits. The room is very old and did not have any towels, fridge was not working and was not stocked (as they had advertised). When we called reception, no one spoke English to even complain. When we eventually got to speak to someone, nothing was done. And it was a nightmare to try and call back - so we just gave up.

Just came back from Caribe club princess and had a fantastic time! Besides the long walk from the lobby to the hotel it was fantastic overall! Could use more shuttle service to get around but if you don't mind the walk which is nice and gets you some exercise ! It's a beautiful resort with 3 pools, a gorgeous beach and some fantastic restaraunts. Wake up early and book Your al la carts the Buffett is okay in a pinch but the al a carts are amazing especially Brazilian and Dominican restaurants ! They offer a lot of fun activities to do and a free shopping excursion so you can get your souvenirs ! Pretty entertaining shows nightly, just wish the disco switched it up more! It had like 3 Latin nights where is Canadians and Americans didn't know the music!
