We were promised a room with a Vegas Strip/Downtown View just to end up with a LAS a MacCurran Airport view. They requested an extra $50USD a night to change our room to what we actually paid for. In addition to that, the airport noise kept my wife up all night and the blinds would not completely shut so we had to ask for extra blankets to block the light which did not work either... Customer centric? Promise kept? Nope...

Tropicana is bright, clean and welcoming. Enjoyed our stay immensely, we would go back again. The hotel is close to the airport and a great location on the Strip. Built in 1957, the hotel also holds a feeling of nostalgia for years gone by. The shows at the hotel were also excellent.

The hotel rooms were clean and spacious. No fridges, microwaves, kettle or coffee makers in the rooms. The pool hours were limited - open only between 10 and 5 pm. It was also limited in area (only half of one pool was open and other half and other pools closed). There is only one entrance - the front main entrance which made getting to the south tower quite the long trek to get to the elevators to get to your room.

The staff was friendly, extremely accommodating and instantly available for any request 24/7. Our arrival in the wee hours was smooth sailing to our room with luggage. Our room was clean with all needs fulfilled and we could not register one single complaint. The pool setting was pristine, peaceful and our favorite spot to hang out. Please keep it open until 7.00 pm for our next return as we will definitely be back. Thanking each and every one of you so very much for an amazing, stress free, and relaxing getaway. xo

Great stay arrived late and was treated to warm cookies as a snack until settled into room. Free self park. Clean room. Close to everything. Feel safe for female travelers.Good value for your money.would stay there again.

The hotel was nice but there wasn't a lot there to keep you there. Very quiet and no clubs or entertainment. Restaurants were difficult to find. You had to pay for a coffee pot as well as a refrigerator.

My Wife and I recently stayed at the Tropicana in Las Vegas and were really surprised on the amenities the appearance and cleanliness of this Hotel. The Pool is fantastic and worth staying at this Hotel on its own, most Hotels now charge a resort fee which I was not happy about but really that was not an issue as I knew it had to be paid. We would certainly stay again but I would make sure I had a better view out my room window facing pool.

The best thing about the Tropicana is the pool. The rooms are not fancy, but beds are comfy and clean. We did have no choice but to stay on a smoking floor. That was unpleasant. The staff were very friendly though.

Awesome swimming pool. Decent buffet breakfast. Good sizeable rooms. Fair amount of Casino tables and slot machines. ........................................................................... Excellent is how I'd describe it

Tropicana was a nice, clean hotel with nice beach area and grounds. Tropicana is located at the top (south end) across the street from NewYork and MGM. This was a mother & daughter trip and we loved it here as we are not big gamblers.

The hotel front staff was helpful during check-in and check-out. The rooms were clean, but dated and the bathroom drainage was slow. The room was very spacious with the two queen size bed. AC worked well, but a little loud. The rooms were far from the front entrance, but it was good that there are no smoking smell in the rooms. Coffee maker was not available in the room, but when called down to the front desk one was brought up, however it was very dirty with coffee grind still in the machine. The beach cafe for breakfast was delicious, wait staff was friendly and the chef that makes the omelette were very pleasant.

Overall the Hotel was clean and provided a place to sleep and get cleaned up. The decor was extremely dated and the restaurants that we visited were average at best. For the cost it was as we expected it would be. The casino was much smaller than all of the neighbouring hotels, but provided a decent variety to meet your needs. If looking for a cheap stay fairly close to the rest of the strip, Tropicana would fit the bill.

When I booked this hotel and trip, I asked for several accommodations to be met at the time of booking. When I got to the Tropicana, I found out, on the very last day that our most important accommodation could not be met. Because we were on the "Red-Eye" flight which would not be leaving until 12:00 am, I had asked to be accommodated until at least 7:30 pm and was willing to pay extra for this time (up to $100.00 USD). I am not a good traveller and must be medicated before my flight which leaves me very lethargic. My husband and I do not gamble, so I did not budget for any activities on the day of check out. I was aware at the time I booked the flight that we would have absolutely nothing to do from the time of check out, until our shuttle arrived (12:00 pm until 8:00 pm). When I reminded them of the late check out on the second day after we arrived, I was looked at like this had never been requested at the time of booking and it was something they simply did not do. I was treated as if I was asking them to accommodate us for free and I that was asking far too much and there would be no reason for them to go so much out of their way for us. When I insisted, they asked me to ask again on another day. On the fourth day I was told to ask the morning of check out. It was then I was told they could not accommodate us (unless we paid for the entire night $200.00 USD). I was furious because I was afraid that by this time, it would be too late to book another hotel to accommodate us. Thankfully, we were able to check in at the Motel 6 just down the street from the Tropicana which were willing to accommodate us for half the price! When calling for room services, there was one lady I dreaded speaking to, because she was openly rude and behaved like she was being put out when asked to assist us in making local calls to confirm our tours and shuttle time pick-ups. All other staff, such as cleaning staff and the people who brought our mini fridge, coffee maker and coffee supplies to the room, were very polite, accommodating and willing to go the "extra mile" to make our stay a comfortable one. (Perhaps they should be running things at the Tropicana.)

Hotel was clean and service was friendly. Compared to other hotels on the strip Tropicana is definitely one of the more quiet hotels with a mature crowd. The casino is small and no poker room. The room was clean however could still use some TLC.

Everything was perfect, we all had an amazing time. The price was great, we were able to see more shows and do more things. Never went in the pool but it looked gorgeous and always seemed to have people there. Staff was friendly and very helpful.

They deliver the high quality of the service. Everything is just arranged as you asked. We had a great time there. Although I think the back tower is a little to far to walk to the front to pick up the car, the is a good view of the pool made the trip not that long...

Newly renovated, Clean, bright , a No Hassle Hotel, close to everything. Great place to stay! Friendly staff, nice pool , good bang for ur buck. I would go back to The Tropicana and would highly recomend this jotel if your tryi g to keep osts down.

Everthing was clean, not the most impressive decor, and the staff not so friendly at the front counter, really touch and go. Not a lot of information regarding day trips etc. always pushing high prices tours and not divulging city transportation was disappointing. Overall a good experience, good location. I would stay there again.

Pool was lovely, landscaped with lots of spaces to sit. Very relaxing. Room was clean but the bathroom was somewhat lacking (drain was clogged). Staff were friendly and very helpful. Overall it was easy to get to other sites on the strip, view from hotel room was beautiful, bed was mostly comfortable. Good for quiet place to sleep and see Vegas. Not your even if you're looking for a bit more luxury instead of an average hotel.

The Tropicana was excellent and the staff were amazing and really helpful . We arrived early , went to talk to check in staff and also let them know at that time that my mom had a hard time walking could we please get a room close to the elevator . We were upgraded to the Paradise Tower at no charge . The rooms have been redone since our last stay 6 years ago and we found them really clean and the beds were super comfortable . The hotel pool was great .

I am so impressed with this past trip to Vegas. Everything went so smooth and for the price we paid its outstanding value, will re-book with tripcentral.ca Tropicana is an average hotel it's clean & comfy not too big like Cesar's for example or MGM next door, the resort fee was included with our pkg price which again was just another bonus. Our flights on Westjet were good, the staff were upbeat & friendly, we left and landed on time. Honestly no complaints everything was top notch smooth sailings, I was very impressed.

We stayed in the Club Tower in a deluxe room during the week of Nov. 15, 2014. Pool (outdoor) is closed. Long walk to Club Tower from self-parking entry and through smoky casino. Rooms may have been renovated but showing wear and tear eg. chipped wooden furniture. Shower drained very slowly. Also had a underlying smell of smoke though it was a nonsmoking room. No real food court onsite but very close to MGM and Excalibur. Positives - Clean, large sized room and bathroom, optional resort fee, fast check-in and check-out, warm complimentary chocolate chip cookies. Overall average.

Tropicana is one of the original casino hotels that has retained its charm while decently renovated. Does have a small casino floor, huge estate and amazing location on the strip. The pool area is great along with decent sized rooms. If booking a package please be careful of "long-hauling taxis" as the ground transportation is poor. Nevertheless if you decide riding the bus (WAX) it's only 5min /$2 ride from the terminal
