What an excellent experience for my family. The service, entertainment, shows, attention to detail, food, pools, water park, views, drinks and anything else I haven't thought of were excellent. My family would travel there again. We had a blast and did not want to leave. Thank you Maya Riviera Hard Rock for an excellent stay.

My son and daughter in law got married here, it was beautiful. Everything was so lovely and delicious. The grounds are kept clean, food was amazing, the beaches although small were spotless and lovely. Could have been a few more chairs available but we found one most days. The water park for the kids was so fun and the slides were a hit. Had a great vacation.

The room was amazing. The food was incredible. The resort itself unbelievable from the concierge to the staff. Top notch amazing experience all I have is good things to say amazing experience I’ll be back.

I’ve travelled a few times with my young kids and this resort was my favourite. The staff were incredibly nice and accommodating. There are so many thoughtful details in the set up and execution of everything they do that make it extra special and kid friendly. The resort feels very safe. It’s clean. The variety and quality of entertainment is great. I loved the dinner and show events. The layout makes such a large resort feel very close in how they group buildings together. Building seven was the best in my opinion for a family. Great place. Will definitely be back

The food was amazing. The dinners had so much variety, quality and fun incorporated. Service was incredible. Beach was so accessible and clean. Activities were perfect for my family. Can't wait to return.

We had a great time. There is plenty to do at this resort. The food was good, we liked the break wall at the beaches for the kids safety, multiple pool options, vibe city and the water park were great! The kids loved seeing some of the wild life around the resort. The staff were friendly. My only complaint would be the room. It was small for a family and no sitting area. There is a big Jacuzzi tub in the room which the kids tried to use one night and I'm guessing it's not used often because black stuff started coming out of the jets. We did request a higher floor level through trip central but ended up on the ground floor. We had a few nights of bad sleep with people hanging out in the hallways in the open air entry by our room. It might be a trip central thing but we also let them know we were celebrating birthdays while there one being my son but no ribbon on the door like we seen throughout the resort on other doors. The teppanyaki place was the best. My kids loved sitting at the grill and trying to catch food in their mouth. Thankfully they came around and asked if there were any celebrations so my son was surprised with a cupcake and candle. My husband loved going to the rock band experience. I did the hydrotherapy at the spa which was amazing. Overall a great vacation! We will be back to the Hard Rock

Grounds and service was great. Beds and rooms were smaller than other all inclusive resorts we have been to. Rooms were not cleaned properly which is a shame as the shower had mold in the grout of the tile but when build was beautiful.

The resort was great! Was at full capacity at holiday time. It was busy, staff all were safe and followed mask protocols. Place was clean and well staffed. Tough at times to make reservations for shows and dinners, they were generally full by the time we wanted to book. Service was great everywhere!

Amazing in every way! Amazing, courteous and helpful staff. Amenities and restaurants are top notch! Even though gratuities are included you will surely want to tip your servers due to the top notch service. Not too big a resort and lots to do.

Fantastic for family! The resort is gorgeous and very clean. The food is outstanding, I felt sorry for the room-service personnel as my teens abused the 24 hour delivery quite a lot. We have a few food allergies, they printed cards to present at restaurant and made the process easy for us. The service is fantastic I wish I could remember all there names. The staff at Frida, Le Petit Couchon, and Woodward were exceptional... and Mr. Boy by the pool and zipline.

3 of us stated in the room, we thought the spa bath was an inconvenience as it just occupied space and we never used it.\ the toilet was too small night shows could be outside in the large paved area more activities needed

The hotel was amazing, staff well trained, cleanliness excellent, food the best, beach was really nice and a fantastic bonus! Grounds were of a high standard, could have let people know that lunch boxes are available if you are touring. You should include a salad with a better quality sandwich....more gourmet on take away boxes would be welcome! Overall really fantastic! I will be back for sure!

The grounds were very clean and well taken care of. The entertainment from hard rock was not very good. We found ourselves bored on more than one occasion. For the price I would try my hardest not to come back here.

This resort is amazing, the service and food are outstanding. So many fun things for the kids and adults to do. They really know how to put on a party and the evening shows were great! Can't say enough great things about this place! Would highly recommend! This will be on my list to go back again for sure!

Food options are excellent in a la carte restaurants and buffet alike, good activities for kids - kayaking, basketball, volleyball, soccer. Beautiful grounds, nice beach with manmade reef to break waves and control undertow.

Staff is fantastic. From bellmen to servers to front desk, the employees went out of their way to insure our stay was fantastic. Resort was exceptionally well maintained. Dining options were many and all excellent. Entertainment options throughout the day. Also plenty of quiet areas if you just wanted relaxation. A great value and will absolutely visit again. A+++

My wife and I recently return from the Hard Rock in the Riviera Maya. As a paraplegic who relies on a wheelchair for mobility this resort proved to have its challenges. The majority of the restaurants on both sides (Hacienda and Heaven's) had multilevel dinning areas that were not accessible, of the most frustrating one was the Toro steak house. To access the host in order to confirm your reservation and be seated you had to enter the main doors however the only accessible seating area was down below and therefore you needed to back outside down a ramp and enter through another set of doors to gain access to that level. The restaurants that did have ramps were very short and steep. The lobby bar on the Heaven's side was not accessible...2 steps would could have easily been ramped. The accessibly of the gifts shops on both sides were hit and miss, some were and others were not. My biggest peeve was the fact that there were no accessible washrooms pool side. On the Hacienda side I needed to go into the main building which had a maze of 5 ramps to access. On the Heavens side fortunately our room was not too far. On the other hand...the resort was beautiful and impeccably maintained. The staff were very kind, friendly helpful and always looking to assist in any way. Our room was spacious and always cleaned promptly. The food was amazing...the pizza bar became its own daily food group. All in all we managed well and had a great stay. I've been travelling long enough to know that accessibly means different things to different people, especially when travelling abroad and you take what you get and make it work.

Unfortunately there were quite a few negatives to my 2nd visit to this resort. The first time I loved it and would highly recommend it but when we went back this year we found that they implemented a bunch of changes that took away a lot of the things I liked about it. Last time we didn’t need reservations for the restaurants. This time they had restaurants closed and the others said we would only get in if someone canceled or didn’t show up even though the resort was only half full. The pool used to be heated but now it’s not. Annie at the reception desk was condescending, rude and unhelpful. Don’t expect to get any requests you make at time of booking. The temperature in our room never got higher than 18.5 Celsius and when we mentioned it to the staff, someone came and just set the temperature setting to the max of 32 degrees but even with that, it didn’t go past 18.5. They also got rid of the antipasto bar in the Italien restaurant. Although there were negatives, I have to give a shout out to: Gabby in the breakfast buffet, Betty the server by the pool and Alejandro the server in the Mexican & Italien restaurants. Their service was top notch and I couldn’t ask for better. It’s unfortunate that management seems to have put customer service as a lower priority than cutting costs. If you asked me last year I would have said I planned on going to this resort every year but it looks like I now have to find a new resort.

Not a fan of them not heating the pool, not a fan of now requiring reservations, not a fan of rotating closing restaurants, not a fan of the lack of anti pasta bar no longer being in the Italian restaurant. Too many changes from last year for us to go back a 4th time. Staff we dealt with was great but our friends experience wasn’t the same at check in as ours

Once again Hard Rock in the Mayan exceeded our expectations. Resort is very clean. Service is 10/10. Kids always enjoy the Woodward!!! The entertainment staff keep you and the kids engaged. We typically have a hard time with the food, although at Hard Rock food is excellent!

Had a fantastic time! Great place. The whole family had a fantastic time. My only issue was they booked my 12yr old and I into a King bed room and right by the Adults only side (4) and away from the rest of our family (all were in 9). At first I was told they couldn't change it but then I persisted and they moved us to at least two beds instead of 1.

Clean, organized, good food and excellent service. Rooms and bathroom was clean and spacious. Great staff throughout the resort, restaurants, pool and excursions. If you love walks on the beach and playing in the waves, this resort is NOT for you. The beach was the only disappointment, however we stayed by the pool, which was great. I’d say it’s a must visit resort in Riviera Maya!

Hard Rock did not let us down. Everything from food and drinks was amazing!!! only thing i would change would be that there was no real beach. Otherwise fantastic service and amenities. Amazing family vacation.

From start to finish the whole week we spent at hard rock was absolutely amazing. Food was spectacular, pools were clean we never had a problem finding a towel or someone to get us a drink. We enjoyed the daily activities that were throughout the resort. Kids club provided tons of fun for our eight-year-old. Rooms are nice clean and have everything you need. Employees here absolutely legendary they go out of their way to make your stay absolutely amazing. Do the excursions they are totally worth it. The Rock Spa is absolute heaven. Golf is also great ! Already planning a trip to go back see you soon hard rock!!!!

Overall we loved the resort. Rooms were clean but small, but bathrooms large! Grounds were beautiful and the food and service was great. I loved how you did not have to make reservations for the a la carte restaurants and you could go as many times as you please. The pool on the Hacienda side was always fun, especially for kids, always things to do. The beach was beautiful but small and we did have quite a bit of seaweed the week we were there (March 6-13). My favourite part of resort was that you were able to dine outside while watching the beautiful waves of the ocean. I loved the Hard Rock chain and will definitely try another one again!

We have been to several all-inclusive resorts over the years and the Hard Rock stacks up against them all. The resort was very clean and easy to get around. We are a family of four and stayed on the family side. All in all the food was great and the service was second to none. I would go back!

We spent a week over Valentine's Day and have nothing but good things to say, from the super friendly staff, great food selection, cleanliness of rooms and meticulously maintained grounds. We will definitely be back.

This was our first time at this Hotel and loved it!!! We are a family with small children and it was perfect for them. We had a two bedroom suite with a personal assistant and he was amazing. He help us plan our vacation and was available at any time for us. We will definitely go back again :)

This resort was very good. I enjoyed my stay and would have like it to be longer. The rooms were very clean and the staff responded very quickly to assist with any issues. The food was excellent and plentiful. The pools were very large and clean. The beach area was pretty small but was very safe because of a barrier wall that kept the waves at bay. All the employees of this resort were excellent.

The hotel was so beautiful with so much stores to shop from. Activities everyday on the beach and pool. Music was insane. Room service and rooms was awesome. Disco parties , foam parties are so much fun. The food omg was amazing different varieties . Anything about this resort and ppl that work there is FIVE STAR !!!! I will definitely recommend this resort to anyone :)

The Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya is one of the best resort we have stayed at! We went there with a group of 50 people (for our wedding) and everyone (execpt 2) thought it was amazing as well. And we made sure to use plenty of the resort credits (spa, excursion, etc) !! A big thank you to the staff at HardRock and to our travel agent Kevin Dupuis!

The hotel was excellent. The grounds, the facilities, the service, the rooms and the food. We were there to attend a relative's wedding and the service and function for the wedding were really well done and added to the experience. The after party at the Hard Rock 'Heaven" club was quite something too. In addition, the excursions we took were good fun and varied as well - ruins and culture, cave and swimming in underground rivers as well as zip lining and swimming with dolphins made for a full week. My favourite restaurant was Brazilian themed with some of the most delicious meat I have had the pleasure of consuming, yet with plenty for the vegetarians in our group as well. All in all, a really good experience and a good time. The one issue was that at the time of year that we visited it is quite windy, which limited access to the ocean although the lagoon/sea wall at the hotel ensured that access to salt water swimming remains despite the sea conditions.

The hotel was beautiful love the food, the night life, pool, rooms. Loved it all and would go back in a heartbeat. The service was excellent and the a la carte restaurant were great and we didn't need reservations. There system was well organizated for food service

The service was excellent, food was served anywhere lobby, beach, even room service available 24/7. The beach was ok but not as beautiful as other resorts I have been at. The room were beautiful and cleaned 3 times a day All excellent I would go back again

This hotel was amazing, great service, very friendly people and some great activities. Although I would of liked a few more beach activities, I think that the pool side activities and party rock atmosphere was great. The food was also amazing, as well as the room service. Would go again in a heart beat.

It's a great experience at Hard Rock, Cancun, Mexico. Room is well designed with quiet central AC. The bathroom is roomy and convenient for family of 3. The Balcony is fun and functioning for drying clothes as well. Staff are warm and hard working. Wide selection of food and drinks. The pool areas and other entertaining facilities fulfill our needs.

The resort itself is really beautiful! Staff is amazing and the food all around the resort is unbelievably delicious! I would recommend this place to anyone and would definitely consider going back without a doubt!

I almost don't even know where to begin... The Hard Rock Hotel, Riviera Maya is absolutely stunning! The hotel itself has a ton of character, the Staff are incredible, and the rooms were impeccable! Moving on to the food... the food is insanely good. My wife and I determined that if you cannot find something to eat (that you like) then the problem is NOT the Resort, it's the patron!! There is not one thing I can even think of that would qualify as a complaint. This Resort deserves every great review it receives! BEST VACATION EVER!!

From the moment we arrived the staff couldn't do enough for us. This was a dream vacation for myself and my two girls. The food, the hotel, the grounds....everything was perfect. I would go again in a heart beat!

The resort was well kept. Everywhere you turned there were people working on the grounds or cleaning. There were many things to do, you could be as busy as you liked. I did a spin class in the water, kayaking and volleyball. I could see myself there with or without kids. The people were amazing and very accommodating. The service was over the top! Food was good. We just got back from Hard Rock Hotel Riviera March 16/17 - my husband and I agreed that this was by far the best all inclusive resort we have ever been to. Check in was a breeze, they provided the extra cot I had requested.Hotel, grounds were absolutely spotless. Loved that you didn't have to worry about a towel card (towels were provided on all chairs) or hotel keys which were already programmed on your wrist band.Cool rock and roll memorabilia on the walls , music playing everywhere on resort including live bands in the main building.Considering it was spring break and the hotel was sold out it never felt crowded. There were always lounge chairs available by the pool or beach. Abundance of delicious food/snacks everywhere you went. No need to line up for dinner reservations (max 3 at other resorts) the Hard Rock allows you to dine in any restaurant, without reservations as many times as you would like. We loved the Zen restaurant and French restaurants the best. Use your resort credits at the spa - facials, mani/pedi or massages for a small fee. Best staff at any resort I have ever been to - not one person working there would pass by without saying hello, good morning, how are you enjoying your stay? Truly the loveliest people working there. A couple of small negatives, if you are a beach person this might not be the resort for you. The resort has created a man made lagoon with beach, from a safety perspective really wonderful. You can snorkel, kayak or swim without the worry of the strong under tow (a relief for parents) Also my 17 year old son really enjoys working out in the gym which was on the Heaven side (adult only) he was quite disappointed that he could not access it (no exceptions) Hard Rock , please consider creating a teen gym on the Hacienda side for the under 18. Overall I would rate this resort a 10 - would go back tomorrow if I could :)

Wow, service! The staff make this place. Carolina and the crew at the kids club were so much fun - they made crafts, had dance-offs, played games, dress-up…they were so kind and welcoming. Heaven is gorgeous, natural and lush feeling (small beach), and Hacienta is a perfect blend of rock, turquoise water, beautiful hedges and palm trees. We were at the Hacienta (family) side. The beach is small on this side compared to some other locations but it is deep (4 comfortable rows of loungers) and never felt crowded (about 300 m long) - always plenty of chairs & umbrellas. There are also smaller alcoves and lots of nooks and crannies to sit by the beach or pool - the design is lovely if you don't like to be with hordes of people. The sand is like powder with some small shells hosting tiny hermit crabs along the water edge near the chapel which make for loads of fun for kids. In the water, you'll find fish both small and big enough to eat - no snorkel required to see them…sort of like a live aquarium. It's a great place to introduce kids to snorkelling. A good place for kids to swim - it is shallow for a ways out and even on very windy days the waves didn't make the lagoon unsafe to swim in. The artificial-isa reef (actually looks pretty real) helps keep the big waves of the Mayan ocean away from the beach swim area. The resort rooms are nice, a high end resort (clean, nice). You can fit a cot between the two double beds (they are doubles, not queens). The rooms were quiet, good AC, and the hammock on the balcony is fun. We stayed in building 5 near the water - beautiful ocean view. The restaurants offer a large variety of food, nice fresh salads and fruits, to hunks of meat and fried foods. Good fresh and flavourable food for a high-end resort, but not the level of Karisma. There is ALWAYS food available. The coffee shop in the main lobby and the wood oven pizza pool side are great. Only one restaurant actually serves you at your table (Frida) so expect a lot of buffet trips with your kids. The waterslide is super fun and the river-like layout of the pool means there are lots of different pool areas - many for the kids, including a large kid pool and areas in the main pool shallow enough for kids. The pool foam party is loads of fun - and the kids really enjoyed the fireshow/beach party (both happen on Thursdays). Most of all, the people who work at the Hard Rock are so very friendly and helpful! Compared to other resort experiences all the little things were cared for - politeness/kindness/helpful, water in the room, fresh towels in room and poolside, pool and beach drink service to your chair, front desk help - everywhere you get North American standards for top customer service - not like most all-inclusives. There is music playing most of the time but it is Top 40 stuff so its appealing to the masses. Not a huge party place so great for kids. Room keys are your brackets (incl. the kids) - bonus for convenience. No pool towel key nonsense ether. FYI - My kids are 7 and 4.

This hotel was amazing. It has plenty of fun activities for both adults and kids. The food is superb with endless options. The staff was very friendly and the hotel was very clean. Would definitely recommend this resort!

We were at the resort for a family wedding. Week of November 9to 16th 2016. The location for the wedding ceremony and reception was beautiful !! Wow !! Resort was spectacular. Luxurious amenities Enjoyed the spa facilities and Room service Restaurants, food and service outstanding. Staff very helpful, hard working, courteous, attentive and detail oriented to ensure a wonderful experience for all. A thumbs up to the wonderful dedicated staff. You are the success of the Hard Rock experience for all your guests

The hotel was beautiful, friendly and helpful staff, excellent room service, love the selection of liquor and drink in our room. However we were VERY DISAPPOINTED with the dirty glasses that they serve our drinks in at the outdoor bars, they were rinsed in dirty water and had lipstick on them.

Pools were great. Food great at dinner but breakfast and lunch buffets so-so. Beach is great for kids, no waves. Staff is amazing, so friendly and helpful. Did not go to heaven side at all but would've liked to try gym and spa. Only complaints would be the noise...very loud music and speakers during the day at the pool and tge entertainment at night was really loud too. Hard to enjoy when it hurts your ears.

I stayed with my 12 year old daughter from May 18-25 in the Hacienda side (Heaven side is for adults only). I have travelled to about 50 all inclusives in many countries and this was by far the best!!! Service - outstanding! They were always there to help you and there was never a shortage of staff. They continuously asked if you needed anything and if you did ask for something, they wanted to bring you more. Room- although a little small we had everything we needed. Lots of shelving, good lighting, nice bathroom. The room was laid out nicely and beds were super comfy! Room Service -order a few times. Everytime I called they asked me is I wanted desert or fruit. They always made suggestions of extra items every time I called. That was a first for me. Beach - It isn't really a beach, it's a lagoon. Which was better because the waves were very strong. The lagoon had calm and clean water and there was plenty of space. Shows/Entertainment - there is always something going on. We participated in Euro bungee jumping, Foam Party, Water balloon fight, and the games they had going on during the day. We only saw the Micheal Jackson and Fire show which were both great. They had a band every night in the lobby and sports bar right there with a pool table and TV's. Food - Food was really good. We only did the buffet and Mexican (my daughter is picky) but it was awesome. They were replaced items as soon as the tray was half empty. It was all fresh and enjoyable. The had a café in the lobby with another buffet, tasty deserts and fresh made sandwiches and salads. The food there was like being in a café in Paris. Pools - clean and refreshing Free Wifi - no problems through out the entire resort. It was never slow and never had problems connecting As I mentioned the service was unbelievable. They are so friendly and accommodating. The concierge even called me at home the day after I left to thank us for coming. Can you believe that?? I can't. LOL. We will DEFINITELY be coming back!!! We were there for the Cancun Jazz Festival; the hotels (two "family and adults) were a live and buzzing but in no way felt cramp and crowed. Staff members were very attentive. Good restaurants to choose from I believe six. Clean rooms with free stocked bar! Overall a very clean hotel good experience. !!The beach which we dubbed the lagoon, was the one down fall and not enough umbrellas or none for beach lounges!!

room was great. Pools good. Beach had quite a few weeds that they worked hard to clear but would come back almost instantly. Definetly use the resort credit to get a cabana. Well worth it. Food was good. I used a resort credit to get a rack of lamb. The salad was amazing. We had a few monkeys out side the room. How cool is that. Mini bar was always full. I was looking to book another one as soon as I got back.

Rooms were very nice and kept clean, food was excellent, we travelled with two teens who have celiac and are gluten free. Most of the restaurants were very good about this. My only suggestion would be there needs to be more shade options on the beach. There is plenty of room to build more of the shade huts and there needs to be 10 times the amount.

My husband & I had a great stay at the Hard Rock Riviera Mayan, Heaven side. Beaches are not plentiful which is the only downfall. Staff very helpful & great, rooms & pools were also great! No waiting at restaurants. Room service when needed great! One of our better trips. Try & stay in buildings 2 or 3 which are closer to pool area. Building one is a far walk.

Great pools, nice snorkelling on man-made beach, beautiful area!!! Service was under par, poorly organized "vacation planners", resort credits are disappointing, food average. Perhaps these things will improve as this resort is new.

We went to this resort as they were changing over to Hard Rock, but didn't notice any disruption in activities or services, etc. We stayed on the adult only side. Our room was quite nice and had everything we needed. Never a problem with not enough towels or room not being made up. We knew going in that the "beach area" was a man-made lagoon, but actually quite enjoyed that as you could swim in calm water and see (and feed) many fish. Would recommend wearing water shoes though. The pools were lovely with lots of activities and entertainment going on, while one was more quiet if that's what you wanted. Food and drinks were very good and there was plenty of variety. Service in the bars and restaurants was also very good. We made sure to always leave a tip for the staff as they work so hard to make sure everyone is having a good time. We only attended a couple of evening shows as we like to get up early in the morning so don't stay up too late. We did enjoy the ones we went to though. I wish I had the energy of some of those entertainment staff! We love the resort credit program! We used ours to do some golfing (which was awesome) and to attend the Chef's Dinner (very entertaining, great food and wine, and hilarious table companions) - no trouble making the bookings either. It's been over a year since our stay, so I hope I haven't forgotten anything. I would not hesitate to recommend this resort to anyone.

Loved the ability to have access to an adults only section but access to the offerings of both resorts. I was very sick for about 8 weeks after this vacation, was diagnosed with campylobacter - Public Health called me to trace my activities and to ensure I was taking precautions for avoid the spread. They say it is a risk of traveling abroad, but it was the first time it ever happened to me - It made me second guess my next experience when traveling, but didn't let it stop me. Otherwise the people/staff were lovely and the spa was absolutely amazing!!
