I will start out by saying the resort is Beautiful and the grounds are spotless! Staff are extremely hard working and go above and beyond to make sure you are happy. Could not be happier with the way we were treated here. I will break down everything below in categories. Rooms : Rooms are pretty typical for a Caribbean room. Beautiful and clean. However they may be ageing and starting to have some issues. We had troubles with our first room. The AC didn't work, sink was clogged, toilet paper wall hanger was constantly falling off the wall, Phone didn't work and the front door wouldn't latch closed (security issue). After a couple days of dealing with these things we requested a room change. They promptly switched us over and the second room was much better...Also the resort seems to have a master control over the temperature you set in your room. We wanted to be 21-22 degrees. The room never got cooler then 25.5 degrees. Sometimes it would go as high as 28 degrees! This was the same in Both rooms we stayed (different buildings). So we were disappointed with this and the more we read into things it does seem the resort restricts the temperature. Also we were unaware that they do not flush toilet paper here. It is placed into a can beside the toilet... Should have been some kind of warning or notice in advance. Did not enjoy this. All that said, the rooms were nice and beds were comfortable. The cleaning staff were great. 4/5 for the rooms. Service : Excellent Service. We felt like we were being specially cared for the entire stay. Staff were attentive and Happy! 5/5 Stars for sure on Service. Food : Food was mediocre. They present the food well... But if you are a Foodie (like Me) you may be underwhelmed. The Buffet is what you would expect but has very little meat. You can go to a station and they will cook some for you but it is low quality and not plentiful. Meal portions when you dine in the restaurants are Very Small. Appetizers are literally 1-2 bites... no joke, 1-2 bites. Main course was actually tasty but also very small portions. Most resorts I have been to are better laid out and have more locations for you to grab a burger or finger foods... there was 1 hut on the beach that nobody noticed. it was hidden behind bushes. Apart from that you were waiting for the main dining halls to open. Also i have a 5 year old son... they had almost no "North American" style kids meals on the menu. Burgers, hot tugs, french fries and chicken nuggets had to be asked for as they were not on the menu anywhere. Also would have been nice to have an Ice Cream station accessible for the Kids. Never found one outside of the single machine in the buffet. 2.5/5 Stars Shopping : As always on the resort shopping is TOO EXPENSIVE. Do not buy Cigars here as you can buy 5x the amount just outside for the same price. High pressure as expected. The staff would always say "Im not here tomorrow, you have to buy today from me"... But you would stop by the next day and magically they were still at work. As a Retail Store owner i do not like this behavior. Off site shopping.. We took the shuttles provided as we wanted to do some "authentic shopping" as we were searching for souvenirs. We explained several times what we wanted and were told to take the provided shuttle at "such and such a time". They took us to a large modern mall... many of the stored were what you would see in Canada or the USA... was not worth it. There is a market a short walk up the road... but they are also jacking prices sky high and are difficult to negotiate with. It is however located beside a police station so is quite safe. Lots of clothes and trinkets available but be prepared to negotiate HARD. They tried to sell me a cheap Ball Hat for $50 usd. This would be $10-12 at most markets. Eventually he starts lowering his prices and following me around. ends up at $20 as im leaving and i still declined because i didn't like the tactics. Bought nothing here because all the shops were the same. 2.5/5 stars Fishing... We took a charter. They seem to all use a central booking service. the resort offered a package at 50-60% higher then you could get elsewhere. We paid $450 for a 4 hour tour. depending on boat expect $500-$600 if you want to troll for sport fish (marlin, Tuna, Sailfish, mahi mahi etc). Fishing was excellent however water is quite rough. The location of punta cana makes it so water will never be calm. if you ever get sea sick avoid this. 4.5/5 stars Overall experience was 3.5/5 . Pros - Staff was Excellent, Beautiful Grounds, Decent Kids program. Cons - Food was mediocre at best, Shopping is too commercialized and expensive. Should have been warned about washrooms.

Very clean resort , well kept. Friendly staff. Lots available restaurants , buffet with a different theme each night and lots of variety in terms of food choices. Lots of Day and night time entertainment for everyone to join in . Safe and the proximity the beach is quite close walkable.

As we got there ,we were quickly looked after and albeit late at night all went smooth. Got room service for a snack ,and enjoyed the view form the balcony .We had to change room from 3rd level to the ground floor and it was done ,no fuss about it. Premises in day time looked even nicer, clean and well maintained. People courteous and accommodating. Coffee shop and restaurants clean, pretty well assorted for food, breads ,drinks ,fruits ,a bit less for sweets. Pools large and well kept, as well as the chairs and plenty of towels . Beach area was with fine sand, natural and manmade shades. Water quite nice, yet had to go around seaweeds, although attempted to be removed often. All in all , we had a a pleasant time at this place .

The rooms need updating. Beach is small. Food was good. Entertainment during the day was ok. Evening entertainment I have seen better. For what I paid for I would go back. Staff at the Buffet, Pool Bar very friendly.

Great 10 days! Fantastic staff, nice and clean and the food was awesome ? if we had any issues we would go to the concierge and they would fix the issue without hesitation I would definitely go back

We had a great 5 day Getaway to Jewel Palm that was booked last minute without much research on the resort. We were pleasantly suprised at how much we enjoyed it. Pro's: Check in was quick and we were able to get our room 3.5 hours early. Check Out was great, we managed to ask and get a 5PM checkout to meet our requirements which allowed us to enjoy the resort longer Buffet was very good for Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner. Two Palm's Grill was our favorite place for Breakfast/Lunch. Service was excellent everywhere on the resort. Beach is magnificent; warm sandy bottomed swimming area. Shower Pressure was 10/10 with lots of hot water. Pools were clean and close to the beach/restaurant. Cons: Room is dated. It didn't discourage us. Everything was operational AC was working but didn't quite get the room as cool as we would like but certainly low enough to be comfortable 20-21 degrees. We would return to this resort for the same price range in which we paid this trip. It is a smaller resort, so you would need to not go back to back but a great 5 day trip

Room dated particularly shower and sink area but it was clean! Nice terrace pools nice private beach with service was great. Chair hogs a bit frustrarting Loved no tickets for towels. Food good and lots of variety. Club well worth it. Loved the appetizers available for club members who are not big eaters. We used that for some meals. Premium alcohol was bonus. Staff Friendly/helpful Wish entertainment had been earlier. Garbage along the highway on route to hotel was disgusting. Must have BOOK IN LOBBY with departure info. Sunwing rep was not in designated spot between 10 - 5 which we were told would be . Resulted in a bit of anx. No issues with any staff at resort. Went out of there way to accommodate Definitely would return Good value for $$ overall very pleased wish there had been ice machines on each floor. Resort staff were excellent. Beach workers worked diligently to rove saragussom. Kudos to them. We had a restful pleasant time at Jewel Palm beach. Champaign from Sunwing rep was a sweet and pleasant surprise Made us feel special.

My partner and I just returned from a week’s vacation at the Jewel Palm Beach Resort. We had a wonderful time! We upgraded to the VIP club and it was worth it. We had a nice room overlooking one of the club pools and we could see the ocean. The king size bed was very comfortable. The staff we interacted with were great! Shout out to Emilio at the VIP adult pool bar. The service we received from him was “Excellente”! Also Anthony who seemed to be there for us whenever we needed something whether we were at the buffet or the Two Palms Grill. I would definitely recommend this resort.

the gardens and restaurants were good.the main pool bottom was patchy and moldy.tge lazy river pool had mold along the top.my chest was covered in green when I leaned on it. the food was just okay at best. the rooms looked tired

I would recommend this resort: clean, well maintained, good food, excellent service friendly respectful staff nicely maintained grounds; only drawback was it did not have full access; travelling with a walker could not access french and italian restaurants nor could I access the VIP restaurant dos palmas as the stairs and mini ramp were too steep; otherwise no complaints

Our group had the best time, the food was the best I have had and the bartenders make ever drink I asked them for. Such wonderful people, the resort was clean and the pools were lovely. Found the pillows a bit large on the beds and the matress was just ok but we were there for sun sand and great times and that's just what we got!!!!! Hopefully we will return again next year ?

From our first day to our last our large group of 18 people were completley satisfied with the Jewel Palm beach resort and staff and have all decided to rebook for next year. We usually always go to different resorts, but not this time as the Jewel Palm stole our hearts. The resort grounds are beautiful and very well maintained, the workers are constinatly cleaning up the grounds and beach. The Food, no one in our group had anything bad to say about the food. We loved the Buffet and the resturants equally. The drinks were delish, frozen slushie drinks to the best chocolate espresso martini, you can find it all. We have already recommend to a friend and they have booked for this April. We will be returning to this resort for sure! Joanna

Not a thing to complain about. We were upgraded as soon as we got in. The food was terrific everywhere! The service was excellent. The grounds are spotless and the beach was a Punta Cana beach. The weather was 89 degrees Fahrenheit and sunny every day... Pretty boring?

From the moment we arrived to the moment that we left , we were thoroughly impressed!! Beautiful room, friendly staff, great food and a beautiful beach! We are looking forward to returning some day!

Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Grounds were clean. Food was pretty good.The Club area has so much more to offer with 2 pools, a restaurant and 2 bars and lounges. The private club beach area has many more shaded umbrellas and 2 tables for massages.

Very clean,beautiful grounds,friendly staff ,excellent choice of dining,food was great. Beach was clean,pool also . Enjoyed the nightly entertainment.,didn’t go to the daily events,just happy to stay close to our “spot”,close to room and pool.Adult members only lounge,excellent, Requested ground floor room and close to pool,both were accommodating. The resort was very clean and nice looking with lots of bushes, plants and palm trees. The food was excellent and the service was great. The Al cart restaurants were very good and you didn't have to make reservations which was really nice. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Our room was nice with a big walk in shower, not sure if it was newly renovated but seemed like it might have been. Over all it was a great week, the resort is a nice comfortable size.

This Resort was pretty good, a little smaller from what I’m used to but everything is close by. The club section rooms were definitely worth the extra money. The beach wasn’t as good as Bavaro beach but it was still good, they constantly cleaned up the seaweed multiple times a day. The rooms were a bit tired but everything worked. Food was pretty good, buffet and restaurants, coffee shop, all good. The grounds at this resort are immaculate, what a gorgeous property!

First time in Punta Cana and it was a great time. Food was awesome, grounds were beautiful and overall it was fun. The rooms were a bit tired - but clean. I would recommend requesting to stay in building 3 or 4 on the club package. It's worth it and those seem to be best location. The beach was nice, waters were wavy and a bit deep- but the sand was cleaned daily!

Had a great vacation, definitely upgrade to club. Rooms were clean, amazing bed, could use updating. The food and service were amazing. The major complaint was the running of the bulls first thing in the morning to get loungers, I mean before 7am . Our agent Nicolle Kirk from tripcentral was amazing to book with

We had a very enjoyable time at Jewel Palm Beach. It is a smaller resort than many in the area. We found it to be well laid out and to have everything we wanted. We stayed in the Club area and appreciated its adult and family pools and lounges. The resort is unusual in that it does not use a bracelet system nor does it require reservations for its a la carte restaurants. We enjoyed all the restaurants and also found the buffet to be well-stocked with a variety of dishes. The beach is beautiful, as is the case throughout this coast, and it was well tended and also had a life guard in the main beach area. We found all the staff to be friendly and helpful. In particular, we appreciated the friendliness and competence of Louisa, Jose Luis, and Emilio ("Excellente!")

Grounds were well keep. Very clean. Pools were good. Rooms were fine but dated . Food for the most part was good. The restaurants were great. Buffet was sufficient. Beach had chicken, burgers and fries all good. Had some bad luck with food from Buffet and chicken off the beach stomach problem. Drinks were alright. Beach was good chairs were hard to get . Water was rough and cloudy but that's the ocean and seaweed on the bottom. People were fantastic.

Grounds were in great shape. The Club level was great and provided superior alcohol and an adults only pool. Rooms a little dated but fine. Comfortable beds and big tv. Loved Cocoa cafe. Went every day.

The resort is well designated; room: clean, stocked, everything worked well, nice sheets and towels; landscaping: impeccable; pools: welcoming; beach: combed of seaweed each morning; restaurants and coffee shop: great variety; food: good quality; drinks: mixology perfect; service: incredible. My only complaint is the Club Family pool was gross, it isn't filtering properly. I would recommend upgrading to CLUB, a few extra amenities available, nice touch.

Layout of this resort is great! Easy to get to the pools and restaurants. All staff were smiling and super friendly. Very clean rooms, grounds and restaurants. Food presentations in the buffet was exceptional. Highly recommend.

Nice and clean resort with many a la carte restaurants and beautiful beach. There are four swimming pools, so it was always easy to find a place. There was a beach party one evening and there is always some sort of evening entertainment in the lobby and/or theater.

We would definitely return. The staff were very friendly. The resort was very clean. We enjoyed all of the a la carte restaurants. The fact that bookings aren't required was a bonus. We really liked the coffee cafe with the delicious sweets, sandwiches and fruit. The gardens were so very well groomed. Excellent resort all in all. Thanks for the great week.

The Jewel Palm Beach was a great resort and would recommend highly recommend it. The restaurants were amazing with no reservation needed, we did all once; Japanese food was great, Italian we did twice again food and service wonderful, Mexican great and French wonderful. The bars at both the pool and lobby were great servers at both were fantastic. There is a mixologist every night with specialty drinks. Staff in Dominican are always friendly and the Jewel staff were especially friendly and helpful they obviously like their jobs. The rooms are clean and well stocked, with towels twice a day if needed. The bed was very comfortable we had a king, the pillows were not great but tolerable. Entertainment was great a singer every night followed by entertainment on the stage by the pool. Two nights we had silent disco which is so mush fun. We like smaller resorts so this was perfect. We’re not beach people but people we meet were very happy we loved the pools and had no problem finding chairs with umbrellas and if we didn’t the staff brought one to us.

The resort and staff were amazing in every way. Food was always great. If anything the beach was constantly filling up with seaweed as it washed ashore overnight. They generally cleaned it every day but cant keep up with it. The water was usually filled with it also so swimming in the ocean only happened on one occasion. I don't blame the resort for this as it's a natural occurrence that happens from the sea. maybe it was just the time of year (Dec) . as a result the pools were filled up early every day as people arrived and departed every cpl of days. Hard to find a quiet spot. Otherwise it was an amazing resort, they did a wonderful Christmas dinner and evening . Thanks to all and to Tammy from tripcentral once again for her amazing help. Dreams scheduled to close early January and re-open once all traces of the Dreams logo have been removed from the hotel. Starting at the front gates....right down to the bottles of shampoo and match boxes.

Dreams palm beach was fantastic , lots of food options , restaurants did not need reservations for al la carte, food was good , plenty of options , a la carte dining portions were a bit small but you could always ask for more , check in was done within minutes , we were in the preferred section , 4 pools to swim in , always servers at the beach and pool taking drink orders even on the beach , resort was very clean and spotless , hand sanitizer was at every entrance to the restaurants , staff were friendly and always had a smile and answer any questions , , lots of say activities at the main pool and beach and evening show every night and also live music , rooms are cleaned daily and no abortifacients towels or room Items , fridge stocked daily and alway bottled water was available , we had a great time and enjoyed this resort

Disappointed in room - hotel needs an upgrade Beach was dirty and water was brown and very rough Staff were great though and food was good No night life for the adult crowd. More of a family resort Make sure you check where your excursions are before booking, we were on a open air bus for 2 hours one way to get to the buggy trip.

We had a wonderful vacation at Dreams Palm Beach. The staff were so helpful (Noemi, Ambi and Albertito were especially great). We enjoyed all the specialty restaurants. Our room and the resort were always clean. We would return to Dreams Palm beach

So many great things to say about this resort, but a few not so great. Great: - The food. High quality and freshness. The baked goods could be sold at any big city bakery. There was a great selection of wines at the a la carte restaurants, but honestly, the house wines were tastier than any restaurant I'd been to. A great choice for us non experts! - The service. Everyone was friendly, helpful and patient. Any questions or concerns were addressed, whether it was simply keeping our glasses filled, confirming excursion details or arranging our PCR tests. - The rooms. Beds were super comfy with all the necessary supplies. We saw that some rooms were even set up with an available hammock on the balcony. Will be aiming for one of those if we go back. - Safety. Protocols were clear, hand sanitizer was readily available and masks were made available if needed. Every area looked and smelled clean. While not brand new, the resort was obviously well cared for. Not so great: - The company that runs the resort tries to sell a membership to its family of resorts, but they're not upfront about it. For those who book rooms under the Preferred Club, you're greeted upon arrival by a company rep, who books you for a breakfast that appears to just be an information session. You're told it's just 90 mins. What we weren't told was it would be off site, 30 mins away, be an aggressive sales pitch and would end up taking 3+ hours of our day. Thankfully, it didn't cut into our 7 days of relaxation too much, but others we spoke to felt robbed of quality vacation time. We told our tale to other couples who decided to cancel the "breakfast." It was the only unpleasant experience we had. - Evening entertainment could be LOUD, but stops right at 11pm. Just something to keep in mind if travelling with young kids, nursing a "headache" or have an early departure. Tips: - The Preferred Club guests have access to two smaller, quieter pools, but it's not monitored. They take your room# for restaurants so they can tell if you're preferred or not, but the pool areas aren't monitored. So while the Seaside Grill is open for breakfast & lunch for Preferred guests only, if you're sitting around the pool, you can order from the waiter and eat at your pool chair. - If you want to save a lounge chair, the bath towels disappear quick & EARLY. Take a towel back to your room the night before so you don't have to wait for a fresh supply the next day. - Do not choose the row of chairs closest to the ocean, as you'll be a target for all the vendors. ALL the vendors. Every 30 seconds. There seems to be an unspoken rule that they don't go past this row, so sit a little further back. They work hard, but the trinkets are worthless. I did witness some amazing braid work, though, so those services may be more worth it.

This was our fourth trip to Dreams Palm Beach and we were constantly reminded why we keep coming back. The staff at Dreams, from the Preferred Club, to the restaurants, to the cleaning staff and maintenance crews, everyone is so welcoming and always willing to greet you with an enthusiastic 'Hola!' or 'Buenos Dias!' Everyone takes pride in what they do, making you feel like you are truly part of their family. A few very special people we'd like to thank: Wilson - It doesn't get any better than Wilson at the Preferred Club. He greets us with open arms when we arrive and from that moment forward he treats you like a part of his family. He is one of the main reasons we didn't want to go anywhere else for our first trip out of COVID, and why we keep coming back. He never stops working and is full of surprises. It is my honor to call him a friend! Pablo - working behind the scenes as the Social Media Coordinator - my wife's BFF at Dreams - one of the most pleasant and caring people we've met at Dreams - we only wish we were able to see him more often this trip - we know we will keep in touch! Emillio - If you hear anyone say 'EXCELLENTE' at Dreams, know that they probably heard it first from Emillio - working the Preferred Club Adult's section - Emillio is beloved by everyone he interacts with. He does his work with pride and treats the Preferred Club like his home. Emillio is as close as they come to a celebrity at Dreams - in a word Rockstar! Ariady - 'Ari' is Wilson's partner in crime at the check-in desk. A great big teddy-bear with a warm heart, always quick with a joke and never without a smile on his face. We remember Ari as a bit shy when we first met him - happy to say he has burst from that shell and is just a pleasure to be around! Cristina - our hostess with the mostess, at the Seaside Grill (SSG) - amazing smile and welcomed us with enthusiasm on every visit. We start and end every trip with a visit to the SSG, and Cristina is one of the reasons why! Yeimey - also at the SSG was also terrific and helpful, she was super friendly and made sure we were well hydrated with every meal :) Juan and Ivan - two more of our SSG favorites welcomed us home and we are so happy we were able to see them again this visit - we were just a little sad we didn't get to see them more often. Ricardo - I think he has found a way to clone himself as he is seemingly everywhere, from SSG to the restaurants and the buffet - Ricardo is always on the move and such a pleasure to interact with. Demetrio - also a man on the move - he's got a VIP touch and makes himself available for whatever you need, whenever you bump into him. Valter Espinoza - Dreams Palm Beach General Manager - while I've never spoken to him personally, we wanted to note that he runs a tremendous operation and you can tell he leads by example; not expecting anyone on staff to do something he wouldn't do himself. Example: in the middle of a tropical storm, we witnessed Valter with a stack of abandoned poolside cups and an errant floaty under his arm at the Preferred Club pool. Drenched from head to toe but making sure the grounds were kept free of debris and looking pristine once the sun was ready to come out again. A few new faces that we enjoyed on this trip include: Naomi - our server at El Patio and also working the breakfast buffet - it was nice to see more female representation on the server side of things and she was so sweet and friendly - personality++ - can't wait to see her again. Geichel - A bundle of enthusiasm, working at Bordeaux, Portofino and the buffet - A baseball fan, so we instantly connected and full of energy; a pleasure to interact with, whenever we had the chance. Carlos Alfredo - Pool side at the Preferred Club adult's pool (when Emillio is on break) and at Portofino - 'Yeah Baby' this kid has charisma and just puts a smile on your face when you see him. Manuel - Last here, but not least, our AMAZING room attendant. It was so refreshing to come back from a morning dip each day to a room that felt as fresh on day 7 as it did on the day we arrived - he takes pride in his work and it shows. We love Dreams Palm Beach Punta Cana and can't wait to be back... thank goodness that our next trip is less than four months away - we're already booked for December 2021. See you all soon family!! This is my 4 times at palm dreams beach we are treated like queens . Thanks again to Dorka and Wilkins and the staff’s . We were treated like VIP ALWAYS SOMETHING TO DO. I also love the people that go buy selling great stuff.

I don't even know where to begin. The entire experience at Dreams was incredible. The grounds were beautiful and so was the room. The staff was exceptional and the food and drinks were delicious. I couldn't have asked for anything more. If you book with them you won't regret it.

The grounds are meticulously tended. The beach is continuously tidied of anything that is washed in or left on the sand. The lobby is warm and inviting with tropical ambiance. The rooms are a bit dated, though well cleaned. The beds are comfortable. The closet space is small. However, with the natural beauty of the resort we rarely spent time inside. The staff is absolutely INCREDIBLE. There isn't enough space to explain how amazing they are. They want you to feel more at home there than at home. But at home we cook and clean, and our every wish is not answered. It makes returning home difficult and we dream to return already though it's been less then a week.

I have been to punta Cana before and I wasn’t to thrilled but Dreams palm beach was a nice smaller resort that was very clean and the staff were amazing. Highly recommend this resort if you like smaller resorts. No reservations required for any of the 5 restaurants. Sea side grill had very good steak and seafood. Transportation to and from resort was very good. Only thing I didn’t like was no live entertainment in the main lobby and the pressure to sit through a time share presentation. Front lobby could use a coffee bar instead of going to the cafe. Rooms need updating

We couldn't say enough about the staff at Dreams Palm Beach. They are not only friendly and outgoing but go out of their way to ensure that your stay with them is memorable. This resort is one of the smallest we have been to but it lacked for nothing. The food is very good in both the buffet and restaurants and since we stay in the Preferred Club we had access to the adult only pool which was nice after the end of the day spent on the beach. The beach itself was clean and well maintained with lots of shade.If you ever had a problem finding a chair you only had to ask one of the staff.

Everything from staff to accommodate, food, drinks and entertainment exceed our expectations. Pool was clean and organized. Beach was well maintained. Staff attentive and pleasant. Transportation well timed.

Not much to do at nite but go to crowded lobby. Place for entertainment was hidden around a corner by front entrance. Pool and beach were impossible to get chairs, time share BS etc. However, food, staff, grounds were fantastic. Too many vendors at beach buggin you.

Grounds are beautiful, staff are friendly, beds were comfortable but room was tired. Food was good and love the fact that we didn’t need to book a la cartes. Biggest issue with this resort is that they provide unlimited towels so people took advantage and were reserving spots at beach and pool. Was almost impossible to find a chair. It was that or hotel simply does not have enough. The other problem was the vendors at the beach....constantly bothering people which I get but gets to be rather annoying. Also be aware of time share when you arrive. They offer $200 to use at resort but of course they want you to come listen to pitch. My warning to these resorts is that they are driving away people like us. We come to relax and not get harassed.

Abundance of food and drinks, everywhere you look. Great grounds, clean and friendly staff. Beach and pool short walk/distance. Food was good quality and a variety of options. Lots of entertainment and things to do.

We had a lovely time at this resort. The food and service was excellent. We did upgrade to a ocean view room in the preffered area however it was not ocean view. Be careful when they sell you this upgrade.

The hotel was wonderful with beautiful trees,pools around the hotel.Delicious buffet and very humble services.It was my first experience at resort and we had lots of fun.Me and my family enjoyed the buffet and shops at the resort.Kids enjoyed playing at the pool.

The hotel is my special Dominican Resort. I have stayed at hotels on the North shore, south, and many along the eastern coast of the island since 1984. Dreams Palm Beach is a hotel I have stayed at 24 times since 2009. My booked vacation in December 2019 will mark my 25th stay. Imagine. I do not own a cottage, but I can imagine going back to a cottage year after year would be as remarkable as me returning to my Dreams Hotel, without taking care of the property. No I DO NOT OWN A TIME SHARE, OR ANY TRAVEL CLUB.

My sister and I arrived on the !6th of Sept and on the 17th my sister was sent by ambulance to the hospital and was in ICU for several days. She was released on the afternoon of the 22nd so she could fly home on the 23rd. I was rather surprised that the resort was completely indifferent and showed absolutely no interest in her health or even that we had both missed out on our vacation.

This was our 3rd trip to Dreams Palm Beach Punta Cana and they continue to impress. The friendly, hard-working and accommodating staff make you feel like you are home and part of the family. Wilson Castillo and Yonattan Mercedes at the Preferred Club are second to none in the care they show for guests. At the Preferred Club pools, Jorge is the man and keeps you well hydrated. At the Seaside Grill, Juan, Ivan and Ricardo are always happy to serve, with a smile on their face. The hostesses at the restaurant are welcoming and always friendly. Dreams Palm Beach is the perfect spot to take your family or for a romantic getaway. Whatever you need, the staff is there to please!

Just got back on Monday from Dreams Palm Beach in Punta Cana. Wow! What a great place! We had some seaweed on first day and last day, otherwise beach was clear and the staff were always cleaning is up. There are a number of pools and bars available. Rooms were adequate, beds are comfy, but the pillows were lumpy. We asked for an adjoining room and our request was granted. Yanelys at the reception was wonderful. She explained everything and got us the room we requested. Everything worked, fridge, water, toilet, balcony door, etc... A La Carte restaurants were good. French ( adults only) was the best! One of the best steaks I ever had. No need to make reservations. We never waited in line at any of the restaurants. Most people ate at the buffet, which was wonderful too. Lots of variety. Breakfast was the best! For lunch there is a pool grill and beach grill. Pool grill is better by far. CoCo Café always had great coffee, cakes and donuts! OMG, their DONUTS are AWESOME!!!!!!!! We didn't go to the late shows or the disco, but the pre-shows were great! They could benefit from a piano lounge, like at some other resorts we stayed at before. The vendors on the beach are a bit bothersome, but after a firm no they go on their way. There are a lot of loungers both at the pool and the beach. Towel game is in effect, of course, but you can always find a spot to relax, in the sun or shade. All in all, it was a great vacation. We can't wait to go back!

This was a really nice resort. It was large enough to not feel cooped up but small enough that we could give our nine year old some freedom. The pool was lovely and well maintained. The beach was nice And staff brought you drinks regularly 😁. Food was great. The restaurants were lovely and we didn't have to ever wait. The staff were extremely friendly. We would recommend this resort!

Wonderful vacation at Dreams Palm Beach. The grounds are beautiful and so well kept. The staff are polite, friendly and very accommodating - anything to help you. Exceptional service by Joanna at the lobby bar and Irwin at the pool bar. Francisco kept us laughing every time we saw him. The food is great and the buffet has something new to offer each day including a special food station for children. The chef prepares a new dish pool side each day in a huge paella pan. Even offers a cooking lesson.The rooms, public areas and grounds are kept very clean. There is a variety of entertainment and activities offered every day. I hope to return again as we had a delightful holiday at Dreams.

This is my 3 times there 3 years in row will never change resort the staff is awesome made us special night in the restaurant à la carte. Brought me a cake and sing me happy birthday right on the resort outside when it was singing and dancing. Food is awesome bring u drinks right on the beach no need to get up. The rooms were ok.. the food was great...the staff were friendly and courteous the beach had too much seaweed but the resort made a daily effort to clean the beaches .. the theme restaurants were great and there was lots of activities to do everyday

What we liked about the hotel: - hotel is perfect size, not to big so easy to access all amenities - all the staff super friendly and helpful - food was amazing: gluten free options, lots of fresh vegetables and fruit, meats and seafood made to order! The morning smoothies were refreshing and perfect to kickoff the day – thanks to the amazing smoothie lady!! - beautiful sandy beach BUT lots of seaweed - however, hotel did a great job of cleaning it out a couple of times a day - like the no wrist band and towel keys Things to consider / improve: - not impressed at all with check-in experience, the lady serving us was not friendly at all (counter to all other staff at hotel!) - we arrived almost 2 hours late and yet our check-in information was not ready, took way longer to check-in - rooms are out-dated unless in new buildings which cost more - the Seaside grill menu and food was the least pleasant AND most did not accommodate a small request e.g. I ordered steak and wanted a few shrimp on side and they did not provide (shrimp was on the menu too with a bunch of other items, I only wanted surf and turf). - hot tub only for privilege club which is unfair when there is only one hot tub at the resort – they wanted over $50 for use. - no adult pool / section for “normal class folks” only for privilege club – again a money grab - did nothing special for anniversary unless you paid for extras Overall, food and staff made the trip special! Not sure if I’d go back given the money grab on additional options which are offered for free by many other similar chains e.g. adult pool, hot tub use for adults

We just got back from a week stay. The resort is beautiful and clean and well maintained. We stayed in the preferred club and our room was excellent! The food was great and lots of choice. Lots of pools for swimming and the beach was nice. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming! The only negative we found was a few of the restaurants were pushy about buying wine off the list. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would return again!

Love the food but they need more variety in the buffet They have almost the same food every day I think they should have different kind of food .. service was great overall I will go back Room was good they clean it twice a day

Unfortunately, we were let down quite a bit on our trip to Dreams Palm Beach Punta Cana. We were attending my cousins wedding, which was a nice event although I felt we were rushed. The entire vacation with over 50 of us there people were sick almost daily, we've since come to realize this is not uncommon on this resort. The staff were friendly although not overly helpful. If you didn't tip accordingly you wouldn't be served promptly or with care. (We are tippers and so this was not an issue for us directly but some of our family members had notable issues with this which I witnessed first hand.) The food flavor and display was a 5/10 at best and I have to say I expect more for the price we paid. Room cleanliness was acceptable, nothing special. The beaches while out of control of the resort entirely were completely filled with sargassum seaweed which can be a hazard and while the resort failed to mention it, I immediately did research and found out that it can cause severe skin irritation. Needless to say none of us were in the water at any point. The pools closed early nightly which really was unfortunately especially with not being able to use the beaches. There was a ridiculous amount of construction making it difficult to enjoy any type if relaxation or time at the spa. There was absolutely no entertainment and again for the cost I found this ridiculous. We do travel quite a bit and I can honestly say I would never recommend this resort to anyone. Unfortunately.

The resort and staff were of high calibur! Although, in comparison to most resorts, I would say that the rooms were on an average scale. The pools were large and it was always easy to find chairs or areas in which some degree of isolation could be found from other vacationers. If you elected to upgrade your package, we found that the benefits did not seem worth the money! There are two smaller private pools (1 adult only pool, and 1 family pool), a choice or premium alcohol (still watered down) and rooms stated as having an Ocean view. But, the Ocean view is still obscured by multiple Palm trees ( in our case the trees were only a few feet from the balcony, so we could not see anything but the family pool below, from the third floor). The resort is very clean and maintained very well! We had no concerns of any bugs, dirt, sand, or other distractions. The food (a la cart) was top notch and very tasteful in both flavour and presentation. The buffet food was satisfying and had plenty of options to choose from, the restaurants were all well maintained, cultural, and comfortable. The Beach was well maintained, but due to the coral reef a fee hundred meters off shore, all seaweed, dead fish, or other algee, and Ocean wash-up, was contained along the entire beach line. Therefore swimming is a risk one has to accept while waist deep in murky brown waters. Plus due to these contained issues, there is always a strong odor of dwad fish and wroten eggs (mostly noticeable in the mornings before the resort staff are actioned to clean the beach front). As this is not the resorts fault, I do not discredit them in any way! They did their best to clean up the sand and water from mother nature's dowel balance. SCUB was of the best quality and aquatic life I have seen from a resort in which we launched right from the beach at the resort. Prices of excursions are all a set price (but negotiable)..... There were plenty of options to choose from but the prices were a bit high. Boarder a deal with the representative if you have a group of people going all at once. Entertainment has a few mixed opinions... There were always activites ongoing, but at a very moderate budget. The resort only played local music, which some may find alluring, but it was hard to dance to if you preferred popular mainstream music. Poolside activities were always ongoing, from yoga to volleyball matches. They were not distracting to anyone just wishing for some quiet time either. As the poll's shape and size allowed a bit of isolation from the noise and visuals. In summary, if you enjoy taking in the resorts (local feel) then you will enjoy this place. If you are a beach bum, then this is not for you. Due to the stagnant waters, the resort had a constant strong odor of dead fish and rotten eggs. Very noticeable on the first day, but you get used to it very quickly and only notice it in the morning when exiting your room. The resort was clean, had great food, and adequate services. It is a great resort if you want to spend a low budget.

The Hotel Grounds were good, and well maintained. The adults only pool in the preferred section was missing tiles. Rooms were dated, clock did not work, furniture showing age and wear. Not a resort for couples...this is a family resort.

Great resort, friendly staff all over,only have two complaints....no makeup mirror in our room, if you don't take enough one dollar bills to tip, you are out of luck getting them there. My daughter and I had a wonderful trip.

We vacationed at Dreams Palm Beach Feb 22-Mar 2. Myself, my husband, my mom, my cousin and her mom. I will review in sections. ROOMS – We had 3 rooms in total, Buildings 6 and 7. The rooms had nice decor, were clean and spacious, with sitting chair, table, marble floors, balcony with small table. Bathroom set up is strange, with a partially see through glass door on the way to the private toilet area and facing the front door so that you could not open front door if someone was taking a shower! Odd. It’s fine for a couple but may not work well for family members staying in same room. GROUNDS – The landscaping is well maintained throughout property. Unfortunately, in this area the beach has murky waters and lots of seaweed, no one really used it unless they walked left for 15 minutes or so. There is a small decent casino. The disco is not used much but can be fun if you get a group of people to go out and join you. The small gym is ok but is up 2 flights of stairs so my elderly mom could not use it. FOOD – Great but unfortunately if you are feeling sick, you don’t feel like eating much. In spite of taking Dukoral before the trip, 4 out of 5 of us were running to the bathroom far too often. Is it because of personal low immunity system or is the resort doing something wrong as far as food handling? I don’t know. Upon entering restaurants, they always enforced using hand sanitizer. Definitely bring imodium with you to the Dominican and it may help alleviate some symptoms should this happen to you. The buffet had plenty variety, with various stations, omelettes, pasta, soup, grill, pizza, fruit, Mexican, ice cream, etc. French restaurant was our least favorite, very long wait, forgot to take our order, they rushed around us, were abrupt to point of rudeness, very unlike the rest of resort. French onion soup was not the Canadian version – missing the toasted bread and cheese. The busboy did apologize at the end of the evening. After speaking with concierge, we were offered perks for my husband’s birthday. The Italian restaurant was by far our favorite (and we’re Italian!). The food was great, the service was amazing. On my husband’s birthday, they brought out additional dishes for us to sample, a birthday cake and champagne and sang happy birthday. It was awesome. We went to the Hibachi for the experience, however of the 3 tables offering the “cooking show” hope that you get the showman who can put on an exciting show for you. Ours was rather lackluster but the 2 tables on either side of us had a great show. With a 2/3 chance of getting the right one, give it a try! They offer you rice, chicken, beef and seafood. And sushi to start. Seaside Grill had great steaks, especially beef tenderloin. However, try to be there for 6:00 as the place fills up fast. SERVICE – The staff is very friendly and try hard to please you. From the hard working cleaning staff to the friendly hostesses like beautiful Perla at the buffet, adorable Stephanie at the restaurants and so many others. The receptionist staff and concierge will do all they can to make your stay enjoyable and resolve any issues you may have. Food & Beverage Manager resolved our restaurant issue quickly. ENTERTAINMENT – My favourite topic. Besides good food, if you haven’t got good entertainment, why bother going? My husband and I always make a friend or two on the entertainment team no matter which resort we go to. And this resort was no exception. Our favourite entertainment team staff member? Hands down, FELIX !!! What an awesome dude. My 83 year old mother and 75 year old aunt have never been to an all inclusive resort in their life, and Felix could not do enough for them to be sure that they felt welcome and that they were having a wonderful time. They cant stop talking about him. Just a wonderful, charming and infectious personality. Always ready to make them laugh or try to get them to dance and have some fun. He encouraged our group to play bocce, beach volleyball, pool volleyball, sing karaoke, Ironman competition, dance at the beach and mardi gras parties, try fruit carving and Spanish lessons. He was always trying to get us involved. If it wasn’t for Felix, I don’t think we would have had much fun. As far as the night shows, the Magic Show was awesome, the Circus Show very good, the Dominican Show also worth watching. Karaoke Night was fun, Mardi Gras party was fantastic. But please do not attend the Western Show, you will never get back those 2 hours of your life. Find something else to do, anything is better than the Western Show. The Cotton Eye Joe dance was good, the rest was painful. Entertainment Director Kobe is well aware of our opinion – we had a long discussion. Mr Dreams Palm Beach Owner – kindly revamp the Western Show – put in some good country music, lip syncing with country star impersonations, followed by some good line dancing with audience participation and get rid of the ridiculous skits. And if there is any way you can bring the Michael Jackson show to your hotel, I would highly recommend you do so as it is one of the best shows that circulated the Punta Cana resort zone. On another note, why no silly beach games? Why no foam party? Many of the Punta Cana resorts have them. They’re so much fun. Your resort attracts all age levels. There are guests who would participate in those activities. Just because you are called “Dreams” doesn’t mean you have to put people to sleep. Boring is not fun. For people who want the quiet areas, they can pay for preferred status and go to the quiet pools. The rest of the people can have fun. OVERALL – It’s a nice resort, rooms are nice, staff is great, food is good. It’s not a party, it’s on the quiet side. It could be improved with a few more daytime activities (Ironman was good.) Would I go again? Likely not, I don’t like to go to the same place twice, it’s a big world out there. Can I recommend it ? – Depends. If you are an active fun-loving couple, or with a group of energetic friends, I would say probably no. If you are taking your mother and aunt on their “dream” trip (no pun intended) – go for it !

The experience at this resort has been the best in all the "all inclusive" resorts that I have visited in my extensive travels. Food, accommodations, staff are excellent. We never waited more than a few minutes to be seated or served at a restaurant.

This resort was very nice in every way. The food was delicious, staff very friendly and very clean. The only improvement would maybe the entertainment on some nights. I would recommend this resort to family and friends.

This hotel was beautiful as far as landscaping and garden areas. The food was fairly good and the service was good, but for 2100.00 a person far far overpriced. The hotel is old and shows it’s age. Rooms and are in bad shape and furniture was falling apart. We have stayed at 5 star resorts only a few yes old in Punta Cana and Mexico . Excellence playa mujeres last November . Absolutely gorgeous and payed less. Was quite dicipointed in that respect. 😂😂

Beautiful resort! Friendly service! Fun spots and lots of quiet relaxing areas too! Rooms were comfortable and clean. Unfortunately extremely long lineups at the airport would influence our decision to go back.

I just wanted to start off this review by mentioning the fact that this was my wife and I’s first ever all-inclusive vacation at a southern resort. We were very impressed by how the grounds were maintained and with the overall appearance of the resort. The dedication and professionalism of the staff had a considerable influence on our overall experience. The entire staff was very friendly and extremely courteous, which resulted in exceptional service. We would like to make mention of a few members who stood out during our stay… we were never left wanting for something at the buffet thanks to our server Emilio; Carlos from pool maintenance went out of his way to find us lounge chairs, a table and umbrella and set them up for us at our location of choice near the pool everyday; Super Luis from the entertainment team always kept us well informed of what was going on and we shared many laughs with him during our time at the resort; and lastly Eliezer from VIP services who made us feel welcome at the resort and ensured we were continuously enjoying our stay. The food was great; we ate at a different a la carte restaurant each night and even revisited a couple that we particularly enjoyed (Seaside Grill & Portofino). We had breakfast at the buffet everyday and were very impressed with the endless food options. The evening shows put on by the entertainment team were very enjoyable and some were even outstanding. The only complaint my wife and I had was that the quality of and view from our room in building 9 was lackluster. I wanted to add, the service we received from our travel agent Marnie Slavic was excellent. She took care of everything for us and gladly answered the many questions we had as first-time vacationers. We would highly recommend this resort and would visit again.

Good: -Food excellent but with limited sea food options. -limited wait at el la carte restaurants -each restaurant was fantastic -entertainment staff very friendly (happy Louis and Felix are awesome people) -great premium alcohol in lobby bar (Kelvin is great) -everything is in close proximity (beach, food and rooms) -great weather throughout stay (only rained at night) -Coco cafe great -abundant number of beach chairs but still need to search from mid morning on -Gym great for resort experience -wifi throughout the resort (but very spotty coverage) Bad: -4 out of 6 got sick from food (somewhat expected in DR. -beach patrolled by merchants who interrupt your time throughout the day with sales pitches. -no sound dampening in rooms. Can hear everything outside your door. Ugly: -2 out of 3 rooms robbed by maid(?). Total of over $200 taken. -3 out of 3 room safes did not work. Still not working after battery change by staff. -after runaround and wasted time with staff, head of concierge was helpful in giving stolen value is store credit at gift shop. All would have preferred returned $ value. -Building 9 rooms are below average when compared to other resorts. Bad smells and odours coming from bathroom area all of the time. -front desk staff was not accommodating when requesting a room change. Instead try to upsell you to the premium club. -night entertainment not good the 2 times we attended. Overall resort was quite average. Trip was a little overshadowed by the fact that 2 out of 3 rooms were robbed by hotel staff. This resulted in wasted time but ultimately a somewhat acceptable resolution with store credit to over priced gift shop.

Cons ----- Con #1. I'll start with the cash taken out of my spouse and I's room, along with another couple we travelled with. One of the couples we travelled with had a $100 canadian bill stolen, pretty easy to keep track of. They were on the same floor as us. The next night (I count my money twice a day) I noticed my bag had been tipped over and my wallet was moved inside my bag, where I was missing specific bills I never touch. My spouse had her purse riffled through and wallet opened where she kept her money. Did I mention none of the safes work at all? Upon our complaint to the front desk, we had "security" come and inspect our room only to tell us they can do nothing. They urged us "this is not common" yet they had PAGES of reports in their paperwork with the same issues. They offered to rummage through our room to help us "find the missing money" which we obviously declined. They then suggested we fill out a generic report, which had questions SPECIFICALLY laid out relating to theft. After spending a few hours explaining what happened (they were extremely rude and didn't care) we met with the head of security the next day, where he showed us the entry history into our room, confirming it was the maid being the only and last one in the room since the money was missing. Since they have no proof of her actually taking the money, they can't do anything. Which means no repercussions for future theft. We were given a gift card for one of the shops, which is better than nothing. After speaking with some of the employees we were friendly with, they re-affirmed that the amount stolen was "not that much" and that "wouldn't we want the money to go to someone who needs it?", their mentality is completely different than ours. Con #2 Upon arriving at the resort after 14 hours of travel, we were attempted to be upsold by the most rude and condescending front desk person I've ever encountered on vacation. It was obvious they had an entire sales pitch to get more money out of us. After finally declining for 20 minutes and sweating with our luggage, they gave us our rooms (which was the furthest building away from the beach). Not a great view at all, but unless you want to pay an extra $600+ U.S for a week, you have to deal with it. Con #3 The seafood gave four out of six of us diarrhea for at least a day. DO NOT EAT IT Con #4 Mold in the room made all of us sick by the end of the week, you could hear everyone coughing on the beach by the last day. Three out of six of us had to call in sick the following week at least one day it was that bad. A doctor confirmed it was a type of flu, for myself personally it feels like bronchitis. The shower had tiles coming out. Con #5 Don't expect much service at all at buffets, they might offer you a coffee then never come back. When we went to get our own, they would come and give us dirty looks and tell us they can get us one. Pros ------- Pro #1 Food was absolutely fantastic (don't eat the seafood), beach bbq was great, a la cartes were awesome, buffets were great. Pro #2 High-end liquor with mobile bartenders was a highlight. I don't drink often at all, but it was nice to have a higher quality drink, bartenders were very professional and great to interact with. Pro #3 Beach was very nice, lots of seating (hard to reserve though) Pro #4 Tons of events going on all day by the pool and by the beach, always something to do. Pro #5 Very close to the airport, was a great quick ride Pro #6 the gym was awesome, very small but good enough. (wish I wasn't so sick I could've gone more) Overall : I would not return to Dominican let alone Dreams Palm Beach due to the money stolen, the food poisoning and the mold in the room that got most of us sick. The customer service we received was mostly abysmal when we needed it. They all look down on us as entitled and will do anything to squeeze more money out of their tourists. Pay the extra money and go somewhere else, I definitely will. (Wait for a generic response from the resort claiming I'm not a victim with a condescending tone addressing none of the issues I outlined). Hope this helps someone with their decision out there.

Overall, the resort was great. This was the first time we took our kids (5 & 7) to an all inclusive, so I learned a few things. 1. I might upgrade to a bigger room next time. The rooms were the most disappointing thing. Just two beds- literally. Nowhere to put your clothes, nowhere to hang anything wet (the line in the bathtub was moldy). Everything had to stay in the suitcases and on top of tables...the bathroom wasn't really separate, so that was interesting. It was obviously older, but that doesn't bother me. The lack of space...different story. Sometimes our room wasn't cleaned until 4 pm. 2. Nightly entertainment was late. Shows started at 9:30. My kids can't stay up that late, so unfortunately we (they) didn't see anything. 3. Pools and beach were perfect, and really, that's the most important part. Excellent for the kids. 4. Food was fine, nothing close to Secrets, where we stayed last time in Punta Cana. A la cartes were pretty good, buffet was fine. Coco's cafe was fantastic, with pastries and sandwiches, cappuccinos and lattes until late. I miss the cafe already. Beach restaurant was great. 5. Kids club was underwhelming for us, but luckily the kids were busy and entertained all day swimming anyway- we didn't need it. 6. The grounds were very well kept and clean. Staff were not overly friendly, but they also didn't hassle you, which was nice. There's always people tying to sell you stuff, but thats at every resort. I would go back to this resort, but I would inquire about a different room. We had a lovely vacation with a few minor issues, but overall, it was great.

Mediocre overall. 4 stars at most. Limited activities. One staff member was very pushy about upgrading our room to the prederred one. The resort is very small and the food selection and quality was very limited.

The hotels were great but the beach was gross because of the seaweed but we survive anyway and had a greAtweek anywAy The food was amazing we ate a la carte every night .we like the Asian restaurant the best but the others were ok too

Overall the resort was good. The beach was well taken care of compared to other resorts. The only complaints I would have would be : getting bigger bills changed for smaller bills for tipping was difficult they would try to say that they didn't have change this was almost a daily battle.when upgrading to a VIP room was great only complaint there was that they say you get $200 resort credit when we went to use them it was not at all what we were told, they ended up being a gimmick to spend more money. Overall the resort was well kept rooms were clean and mini bar was always stocked up.I would recommend this resort to others!

The grounds were beautiful and well maintained. All of the ala carte restaurants were very good. The French Restaurant and Steak house were both so good we went again. Staff is very friendly and outgoing, small resort so you can walk everywhere. will definitely go back again

My wife and I spent our honeymoon this April/17 at the Dreams Palm Beach Resort in PuntaCana Dominican Republic. This place was awesome. The service was exceptional and the cleanliness of the entire resort was unbelievable, right from your room to the beach. The food and beverages were top notch.The view and surroundings were incredible. The people were awesome. The service we received from our travel agent, Carole Williams was fantastic. She took care of everything for us. I highly recommend this resort to anyone that is looking for an all-inclusive vacation. We plan to return.

Amazing time at this resort! I loved how clean the restaurants, the lobby and the washrooms were. Clean washrooms are very important and I am very satisfied! I would go back to this resort again and have already started planning my next trip. Everything was awesome down to the amazing friendly staffs and service and of course the tasty food! Thank you dreams for making my anniversary voyage memorable!

We just returned from a 7 day March Trip at Dreams Palm Beach with our two teenagers. The resort was truly wonderful; the food was excellent, accommodations great, resort small and manageable, truly spectacular staff who always had a smile and offered amazing service. The entertainment staff were especially wonderful and we made many new friends who we would love to pay a return visit to see again! I would definitely recommend this resort and would suggest choosing the preferred option as it made a big difference to our stay!

Everything about this place was amazing from the staff to the grounds to the FOOD!!!! I would highly recommended this resort! The beach was beautiful as well. Definitely would go back to this resort again!!!

Hello, Let me start by saying I was not impressed at all with Dreams Palm Beach Punta Cana. We've stayed at Dreams resorts before and it exceeded our expectations! To start upon loosing our luggage once located made us pay a 70 fee to have it sent to the resort with no receipt to claim upon our return. The food selection was horrible.. even the buffet had the exact same food everyday! Like I said we've been to another Dreams in Dominican and never experienced that! We had to write a review on trip advisor before we could get lobster! Are you kidding me!! The kids club was way out of the way.. the days it rained they had nothing lined up for kids! They didn't have the trampoline in the water.. Beach was horrible! Rooms were average. However no water pressure.. thank god I paid for our inlaws to come so we could use their shower! Special side note.. you should advise the rooms don't come with a bath tub! That was a treat trying to shower my 7 month old who can't sit up!! In the end the money that I personally paid for 7 people to go was insane for what we got! We would of been better off going to the last Dreams or even the Bahia that I would of rated a 15 over a 5 star!

The buildings on this resort may be old but this is the cleanest resort I've ever been to & I have definitely been to a lot in the past 30 years & Punta Cana has been one of my favorites, travelling there 3 times. I would definitely recommend this resort to families I think they really cater to the kids, young to teens and even set up a special bulletin everyday in case of a rainy day I was there for 11 nights & I received a call every day from the concierge desk asking me if I was enjoying my vacation and if there was anything they could do for me. I was just a normal client to them, I was not on the preferred package. I wonder how much attention the preferred guest gets compared to the average, my husband & I were happy with the food & service we received there, the staff everywhere were very courteous. The entertainment in the evening shows were very professional, some were definitely outstanding. The gardens were gorgeous, my husband smokes and would not even consider throwing a butt out, always found an ashtray. On the beach where we spent all of our days, they would rake the seaweed a few times a day if needed. Yes I would recommend this resort & we will go back.

We had a wonderful stay. The beach is beautiful, the pools were refreshing and always plenty of chairs and umbrellas. The kids pool was nice and shallow for the kids. The buffet was fabulous so much variety. Coco cafe was nice spent each evening there after dinner. The Italian restaurant was good but service was very slow. The japanese restaurant was delicious and entertaining. The french restaurant was extremely slow, we left after 1.5 hrs as we still hadn't had our full meal yet. The rooms are very dated and there is no storage to put away your clothes, not a big fan of living out of suitcases. The washroom layout very poor, and floor was always soaked after shower as there is no closing door on the shower. Do not fall for the Ultimate vacation club, waste of 3.5 hrs was disappointed to have wasted that time. Overall amazing experience and would definitely return. But next time we would upgrade to Diamond club, we stayed in regular room but for the extra I think it would be worth the upgrade. High recommend this hotel.

This resort was very nice and clean staff was great, we had to our room changed when we got there due to musty smell but the staff move us within minutes which was great, the beach in front of our resort was cleaned every day but the ones beside our resort didn't get cleaned every day. Other wise the food was good resort good employees very nice.

We liked the resort it was overall good...beach, room, food and day entertainment were great. Our family enjoyed staying at this hotel. However the night entertainment was poor and it needs to improve to attract more families.

went to this resort in Sept/16 with my daughter husband and 2 children, our 4th visit to a Dreams resort in Dominican and their 3rd visit as well to Dreams in Dominican Republic. we were accommodated with adjoining room which was wonderful and we were very grateful for. The bathroom in our room was shower only and honestly quite outdated otherwise room was great. The beach was not the calm clear water but having been there before we knew this in advance. The kids club was fabulous and our grand children were well taken care of and we felt quite safe leaving them in their care they went above and beyond their duties to ensure the children were all having a memorable time. Food was great and resort was immaculate the only negative thing I could comment on was the water and our bathroom. I would recommend the Kids Club to any parent who had reservations about leaving their children with strangers, they all were amazing with the kids and Dreams should be very proud of their dedicated staff and workers as they truly are the heart of this resort.

We arrived on Wednesday afternoon, and this is our 4th trip to DR and 3rd to a Dreams chain. The grounds are very clean, front desk staff not exceptional. The resort layout was a bit odd with kids club quite a walk from lobby and main theatre / casino outside as well. A couple days into the trip, my parents made arrangements to visit from dreams PC and were made to wait over 30min at security gate before allowed in. (The drive from PC to Palm Beach is only 30min.) I complained to concierge as they were sitting there, and he told me he needed confirmation. I said get your confirmation while they sit in the lobby not in a cab in 38c heat. ( Really, what are they going to do, run and jump in the pool and get to stay for free for the day? A bit ridiculous) When my folks were allowed in to the resort, the staff had an issue with the "Dreams Dollars" issued by Dreams Punta Cana to my parents to cover the day pass cost. They asked for paperwork to verify the Dreams Bucks? Thankfully it was taken care of rather quickly by a management team member. The food was great at all the a la cartes. The pasta station and omelette station were the best part of the buffet. Abby at kids club is AMAZING, and kept the kids busy for a couple hours a day. The sunquest rep Cristian, booked us a pirate adventure and we asked for a golf outing that he said he would take care of. He never called us back about the golf so we figured it out ourselves and the pirate/shark adventure was cancelled once due to weather. On the rescheduled day we waited most of the morning and finally had concierge call him. He said it was cancelled again due to weather but what was frustrating was we wasted the entire morning packed up, sitting in the lobby waiting for the bus to show. Off the resort is very safe and a short walk to get souvenirs. Overall, it's time for something new for us, but clean, descent pools and good food.

The staff, such as Robin Hood at the Coco Cafe, Emilio our never enough server, Georgie,(Sammy Soussa) always checking on us at the buffet. The always polite and ever accommodating staff ,for everything, you name it they acquired it! The rooms were lovely and spacious, my daughter emailed the hotel and a awesome chocolate dessert appeared one evening during our stay...amazing! Numerous pools, great beach, never ending drinks most attentive service!

My husband and I along with my brother in law and sister in law stayed here the week of September 25 to October 2/2016. The resort is only 20 mins away. We stayed in the Preffered section building 2 which was great. We had our own private check in, own adults only pool section which was very relaxing. The water was warm, we had endless drinks and a small buffet of food to enjoy while you were there. The room was nice, clean and the shower was the biggest I've ever seen! Ask for the mini bar upgrade. You get 2 mini bottles of rum and vodka, a snickers chocolate bar, M&M and Pringles chips every night. We took them on the plane with us to snack on. The private beach was nice too. The resort was not full so you felt like you had the beach all to yourself. There was quite a bit of seaweed that week but the guys were cleaning it up constantly and our resort beach was the cleanest if you were walking. The water was warm for swimming. The only issue we had were the vendors walking by and calling out to you to lookie lookie and it got annoying! We love the beach because of the nice constant breeze but after a while we move to the big pool where there is great music and it's more lively. The grounds are beautifully kept. The pools were clean. There is a coffee shop we enjoyed with yummy treats and great cappuccinos, lattes and iced drinks. All the ala cart restaurants were good and the buffet was excellent. I have to say all the people there are really friendly, always trying to please you. George and Emillio....we miss you already. Concidering some work 12 days on and 3 days off and others 24 days on and 6 days off....they are always happy to see you. Great staff! We went to Don Lucas Cigars for a couple of hours. Please don't buy cigars from the beach vendors! They are terrible. Go to Don Lucas. They pick you up and drop you off for free. We've been there 5 times now and will keep going back every time we're in Punta Cana. There's a rum bar, chocolate factory, coffee tasting etc. We love it. Nice to get off the property too for a bit. The entertainment was a surprise. It was actually pretty good. We've seen some really bad shows but here was good. The weather was great but can't say that for this week as hurricane Matthew blows by. We were lucky to have left just before the rains came. Anyways, we all loved this resort and we wouldn't hesitate to return here. We loved the size, the people, the food was excellent and all in all we had an AWSOME week!

The food was excellent...service was above average, the staff were very friendly. The beach and pools were excellent, room was clean and good maid service - negatives...... we felt there was no real benifits to being in "preferred club" the Bali beach beds that were advertised were not up and beach wait staff were very slow (even with great tipping) ran out of premium liquor (frangelico) and was never restocked when requested. Overall 8/10

The staff at the resort were great. Very friendly, entertaining and pleasant. The food was always fresh and yummy! The restaurants don't need reservations and the buffets are outstanding. The rooms were spacious but could use more drawers for storage. There are lots of beds available around the pool and there was great space at the beach as well. We would definitely recommend to stay here to friends and family and we'd love to go back soon!

I've been to Punta Cana several times and have stayed at various resorts. This resort was okay but not as good as others. The poor: The front desk service was poor. The rooms were not designed well and it was difficult to share with my travel partner. Two women need more space for their things and there was little privacy for changing/ dressing. The bathroom was run down and needed an upgrade. The good: the staff was great. Erika was a pleasant waitress at the buffet as was Emilio. Juan and Jorge at the Italian restaurant were also great. As was Darlin who was part of the entertainment team. The a la cartes were really good. The pool and resort grounds were beautiful.

The resort was in a good condition, clean and well maintained. the service was "excelente" we enjoyed our vacations there. Information, activities, and assistance were on time and accurate, all the staff was always friendly. I love the food...really fresh. OMG, I recommend the Spa, we spend quality time there. Good recommendation by the Tripcentral representative.

Everything was well-kept and the food was also delicious The staff was attentive and answered all of our questions about anything we had! The entertainment was also decent and there was a lot of choice for food and restarants.

This place was amazing! We had a great time, enjoyed the beautiful resort and beach. The staff was very friendly and went out of their way to please the guest. The food was delicious and plentiful. I would definitely love to go back.

The hotel was amazing. Great staff, always friendly and helpful. Food quality and selection are topnotch. Grounds,pools,rooms and beach all well kep't . Nothing negative to say. Lots of things to do. Loved the shows.

Grounds were clean, staff friendly. buffet food was ok if you searched out something you could eat. Ala carte was better. very busy and loud beach. not a place for a quiet holiday. lots of young families.

We stayed January 2016, the overall resort is fantastic. Lovely grounds well maintained, the staff is excellent, especially Luis from the entertainment team. The food we thought was great, good selection and flavour. The buffet is big, get the pizza!! The beach is cleaned of seaweed all the time. Room for great walks and the sales people don't bother you if your not interested. What a fantastic trip!!!
