Our experience at Xcaret Mexico was nothing short of incredible. From the moment we arrived, everything felt thoughtfully designed to blend luxury, nature, and culture into one seamless experience. The resort itself is stunning, surrounded by lush greenery, rivers, and unique landscapes that make you feel connected to nature at all times. The all-inclusive concept here goes beyond just food and drinks — it includes access to multiple Xcaret parks, which was a huge highlight for us. Every day felt like a new adventure, whether it was exploring underground rivers, enjoying cultural shows, or relaxing by the beautifully designed pools and beaches. The food was exceptional across all restaurants, with a wide variety of cuisines and high-quality ingredients. Service throughout the resort was top-notch — staff were friendly, attentive, and always willing to help. A special thank you to Colleen, our travel agent, who made the entire booking process smooth and stress-free. She helped us choose the perfect package, guided us with all the details, and ensured we had everything we needed before the trip. Her support truly made a difference in our overall experience.

amazing resort and grounds - beware as the management and front desk practice extortion and pressure tactics to get you to pay more We booked with Tripcentral for my family and my mother and father in law. My mother and father in law were staying on the Arte side but would like to have a room with access to the Xcaret side as we were traveling with kids. When they arrived at Arte the resort said they could not access the Xcaret side and that they had to upgrade and pay $4000 more to be able to access to the Xcaret side (after paying $9600) for the week....of course they were devastated and just paid as they wanted to be with their grandchildren and the resort saw this and extorted them. We reached out to tripcentral and westjet as this was not what we agreed upon as tripcentral knew we were going as a family and needed and wanted the grandparents to have access to Xcaret side (otherwise they would have simply stayed on the Xcaret side as it was cheaper anyway) - having been to S=Xcaret arte in jan 2023 my wife and I had experienced the adults only side and figured they would like it as well - and we also had access to Xcaret when we were there in jan 2023. This was my third time to Xcaret and had previously brought over 50 people with me the other times as well and spent well over $250,000 with trip central on trips I am disgusted and amazed that this happened and now tripcentral and westjet are hiding and not responding to my calls and emails

Just returned from a week at Hotel XCaret in Mexico. It was our second visit and was wonderful. The resort is beautiful, the pools, the food, the selections of restaurants are all incredible. We booked with Candice Anger at Trip Central and she was fantastic, so helpful and approachable. We’ll absolutely return and will only book with Trip Central!

This was our second stay at this resort. We chose to come back because of the access to the Xcaret parks you get when staying at the hotel. The resort was doing many things to keep guests safe (despite many guests not participating) Things like mask wearing and hand washing were enforced, in particular at food locations and while using resort transportation but were more lax around the pools (despite the lifeguards all holding signs that said “masks mandatory”). It appeared that many guests were taking advantage of Covid testing offered by the hotel, as evidenced by the line up at the medical center, but we opted for self administered RT-LAMP tests we brought from Switch Health. All in all we felt very safe and no one in our group contracted Covid as a result of this stay. The resort itself is beautiful and the parks are great fun. The food is good - we could always find something to eat. Favorites were the hamburgers from the poolside stand, the beachside restaurant Las Playas, a la carte dining at Xin-gao and Las Cuevas. Room service rarely disappointed as well. Unfortunately, the cost of this hotel is now out of what we feel comfortable spending in terms of returning, but if it is within your budget, this hotel does not disappoint.

The grounds at this resort were really breathtaking. Suspended bridges, beautiful fauna, aqua color water. Food ok, service ok but found there is a language barrier. The restaurants were a unique experience . I highly recommend them.

This is probably the best resort I have ever been to. The staff are incredibly knowledge, cheerful, attentive, and kind. The food is delicious, the grounds are beautifully maintained and landscaped. The artwork, design of the buildings and rooms, is top-notch. The included access to various Xcaret group parks and excursions is an incredible value and well worth it, I also recommend purchasing the photo packages so you don't have to use your own phone. Overall, an amazing experience. Special thanks to Heather Felice for making it so easy to plan this trip! The measures in place for COVID-19 included indoor masking, which was also encouraged while walking around the resort, temperature checks when entering buses and restaurants as well as contact tracing. Hand sanitizer stations were common and regularly provided when interacting with staff indoors.

Hotel Xcaret exceeded my expectations. The hospitality was amazing, everyone always greeted you with a smile and an “hola.” The food was incredible, Xin Gao and Bio were our favourites but the rest of the restaurants were also above resort standard! The whole resort was beautiful, with rivers around every corner it was always a treat to look at. It was great having the parks accessible, and the tours plus guides were always very friendly and knowledgeable. Honestly the best resort I have ever stayed in. I can’t wait to go back!

This resort was absolutely stunning! There is so much to do and everything is done so well. The food was also amazing. They even had lots of Gluten Free foods. The staff members were all very friendly and did everything in their power to make sure everything was to our likings. Not great for older people, as some of the activities are quite extreme. Would definitely go back.

Upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised with the smooth check in process (other reviews spoke of issues and that was not our experience). Our room was well situated and had fantastic amenities (super comfy bed/pillows, fantastic shower, comfy couch, nice table and chairs for room service, 2 hammocks on the patio, excellent WiFi with streaming to the TV, well stocked mini fridge and snacks, etc.) We ate at 3 specialty restaurants and enjoyed the menus, food and service. The main buffet was adequate with something we could always enjoy. The food offerings leaned toward Mexican cuisine, which was not always to our liking, but the beach à la carte restaurant and room service had an excellent burger/fries and club house/fries for occasions we did not find food options we wanted. On one occasion, just because we could, we took the boat to Xcaret park just to have lunch at one of their buffets (more American type cuisine on their menu)! Having access to all the "X" parks was a huge draw for our party of 10. We preferred to use the parks that did not require us to be off resort for the whole day so only went to Xplore/Fuego, Xenses and Xcaret - we enjoyed them all! One complaint about the resort was the limited access to public washrooms. We found it very odd not to have bathrooms close to the pools and in some of the restaurants. Bathrooms we found were a bit of a walk away from those locations and we sometimes just found ourselves walking back to our room (which was not always close!) All in all, a great resort that we would return to.

Great resort !! Staff were all very accommodating , grounds were gorgeous, food was amazing! I woukd not hesitate to return. Having all of your excursions etc included was a definate bonus as you could do as little or as much as you wanted. Hope to return again!

The minute you step into the reception area you start to get glimpses of what is to come. This resort has the space to enjoy some quiet time and at the same time so many amenities that you will not know what to do first. There simply are not enough stars available to properly rate this property.

To be honest, I don’t have much to compare to as this was my first time in Mexico and my first time at an all inclusive hotel, but this trip has set the bar high. I talked to others who have vacationed at all inclusives in Mexico who were at the resort while I was there and they said this resort is the best for food, fun and service and that I started with the very best and nothing else will ever be comparable. I felt I got a great deal and was very happy with my garden view room.

A beautiful resort with so many options. The resort itself had a number of easy to get to pools allowing us to choose being with people or kids or having seclusion. The beach on the ocean is small but there are many sandy coves with beach chairs and hammock along the river and trails that meander through the property. Good food on our vacation is important and we were not disappointed - the Japanese and Cantina were our favourites. We liked the fact that we met guests and staff from Mexico and from around the globe. The service was great across the board. Entertainment at the resort and parks was excellent. We especially enjoyed the evening show at Xcaret, the dinner show at the resort and the band Bullet Queen at the Cantina 3 nights during the week. Sound does easily carry from the hall into your room so get a room away from noisy areas such as bridges. Having access to the parks most of which are on the grounds with shuttles or boats running frequently included was amazing. You could go for a few hours and not worry about seeing and doing everything in one visit. We were able to create a perfect tailored mix of activity and relaxation. The fantastic shows, ziplining and variety of river and cave floats were our favourites. There was never long lines anywhere. We've been to a lot of resorts in Mexico and the Caribbean and it's rare when go twice because there are so many good options. This is a do again!

Very nice and clean rooms, grounds and pools. Very attentive service. The problem is with the food. We both got sick after eating at a brunch. The rest of the vacation was lost. My friend stayed at the same resort the week prior and her husband got sick. I met a couple at the resort and when I mentioned our illness, she replied that she and her husband also got sick. The food safety is not up to North American standards.

This place is unreal... ultimate in fine dining, place is amazing.. relax on the beach, eat in a restaurant underground in caves, hit up many out of this world excursions and push your fears to the limits... This is the place for everyone young to old don't matter you'll enjoy every minute... The service at this place is crazy awesome treat you better then family, really unbelievably crazy awesomeness.... The spas from what the wife says are something else you'd never expect or think crazy relaxing make ya fell like a true queen... Ultimate star rating.....

Hotel Xcaret was one of the best resorts I’ve stayed at. The room was so modern and the balcony with a hammock was an added bonus. The multiple lagoons around the resort were awesome for sitting out during the day. Along with the close access to the beach and ocean. The food options were great, Bio is a hidden gem with vegan and vegetarian options that were delicious. The staff were friendly and the turn down service was nice- with hand crafted gifts to boot! Also the access to all the parks that are included is an incredible experience to take advantage of. Will return!

Going to keep the review specific. As someone who looks at so many reviews before travelling, I like to hit the highlights! 1. Before going: I got in touch with guest services (via email) to book my restaurant and tour reservations 3 weeks prior to arriving. I read many reviews that said many restaurants were booked up when they arrived, and this completely eliminated all worries. 2. Rooms: beautiful, adequately supplied...beer, soda, water, nespresso pods, snacks of all kinds, toothbrushes, toothpaste, shaving kit, magnifying mirror, slippers, beach tote...truly all the things you would ever hope for. Rooms were cleaned twice a day and stocked every day without fail. 3. Restaurants: buffet was great...we make it a habit to try not to eat at the buffets, but this one was an exception. The buffet area is large with multiple stations...always fresh fruit, salads, raw bar, charcuterie station (great meats, cheeses and bread along with all accompaniments), Mexican favourites of all sorts, grilling station, ice cream and desert bar, smoothie bar, tequila and mescal station...and other changes daily. Las Playas beach restaurant and bar...fantastic for lunch...lobster tostadas, tuna tartar, casear salads, fresh fish and ceviches, as well as burgers and ribs. great cocktail list as well. Come late at night and swing at the bar with a cocktail, scotch or beer. CANTINA LOS FAROLES, Mexican steak house is more funky Mexican fusion and great bar that turns into a dance club at 11pm. Las Cuevas, gorgeous ambiance for a brazilian style steakhouse (meat on skewers passed around)...service was great, but the food was only ok. Good to go for the experience. La Trajinera...supposed to be the seafood restaurant, but we went for breakfast lunch and dinner and were not impressed. Food was bland. XIN-GAO...went for the Teppanyaki and the fusion menu...both were amazing. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and the service was exceptional. For the fusion menu, order a little of everything as the portions are small. TEATRO DEL RíO; went to the Caribbean and Mexican shows...the food is OK but the service was inconsistent. We did not visit any other restaurants. Overall the food is very good, but the service, however good, was not personable or seemed genuine. BARS: Lobby bar, open all day, serves all the usual suspects as well as top notch cocktails, scotches and even specialty coffee drinks. The have a piano player around 6:45pm, then a jazz or rock group that plays till about 11pm. Pool bar, I think there are at least 4 of these, but we only went to the one in the main infinity pool. It gets pretty crazy in the afternoon as you would expect. We typically would have our 1st drink of the day there, hang in the pool for a while, then take off to the beach. Las Playas: attached to the restaurant, is also a stand alone bar. Igunas: pop up bar by the beach chairs. Shout out to Viktor, who made us some amazing cocktails out of his limited supply of ingredients. he definitely provided the best bar "experience" CANTINA LOS FAROLES; there is an upstairs "sports bar", but it is a bit dingy. The best place to be late night is downstairs under the lanterns. The guys work pretty hard here keeping everyone in beverages. There are also pop up bars in various places throughout the resort. POOL: get there early to get a spot with sun for the day. Only one corner seems to get sun, and the water is very cold. It is a pretty pool, but poorly designed for maximum usage. BEACH: a lot of people complained about the beach, and that there was none...there are 3 beaches, with turquoise water and soft sand. There is also full bar service to all chairs. The water can be dangerous at times, so be careful when going in. Lagoon: perfect if you want to stare at turquoise water, jungle foliage and waterfalls while getting served tasty drinks, only feet away from all amenities of the hotel. The wind stays of the lagoon for a calm, serene experience. Be sure to wander around for cave hammocks, hidden alcoves, paddle boards and kayaks. One thing would help: MORE WASHROOMS!!! Good luck if you really gotta go!!

Great experience - very unique! This was our second stay here, and we plan to return every year, at least until we have experienced every park that is included with your stay. Service and food are excellent and the grounds are pristine!

This resort is absolutely stunning. ALL the staff at Hotel Xcaret are absolutely amazing going above and beyond to ensure you have an enjoyable and memorable stay. My husband is able to walk only short distances so we took a wheelchair to help him get about the resort. There were areas we didn't think we could access but when we asked the concierge employees they were very helpful. My husband wanted to go up to see the chapel but there were alot of hills and it was a distance from the main building. We asked the concierge manager about an alternate way there and although there wasn't one, he had one of the bellboys accompany us pushing the wheelchair up the hills and up some of the walkway to the chapel. (elevator took us most of the way up). We had booked Las Cuevos for my birthday dinner before arriving so were unaware that it was located on the beach again with no way to access by wheelchair. One of the security guards pushed him in the chair to a location where there was a flight of stairs he could descend. Throughout our stay staff was always assisting with meeting his need with the wheelchair. One of the waiters told us there was a way down to the lagoon beach area via one of the casas and then a tunnel. He asked one of the concierge near the infinity pool to show us how to get there. This was incredibly important to my husband as it was partly because of the rivers that we booked this resort. Overall it is a great resort and as stated earlier the staff are fantastic.

Beyond expected! Hotel Xcaret is the best hotel we ever been to!food, pools, beaches ere amazing! Definitely will recommend this resort to my friends and family members. Also planing to return next year.

Wow! What a great resort! We had high expectations travelling to Hotel Xcaret, as it came recommended by two families we know, but we were still blown away by how beautiful this resort is, how amazing the food was and how much fun we had with our two kids! We look forward to returning here.

I spent excellent time with my family. We have no time to look around hotel even though facilities of hotel is excellent. We've been most of Parks that included in this package and jaw dropped of scale and care. I want to recommend to family and all travelers who need healing. This resort is as close to perfection as it gets. It’s no wonder people keep going back. The all fun exclusive aspect of it is amazing. There are just so many things to do between all the different parks for all ages. The underground rivers, caves, zip lines and such are great. The resort itself is absolutely beautiful with such a varied and well thought out layout and integration into the environment. The rooms and placements in the resorts are great. Service is impeccable. Every time we called for something, we had immediate attention. There is such a great variety of food. For most part, the food is very good. Most of the restaurants are great. The ones that are more aiming to be fine dining have the best drinks.

Hotel is kept miraculous! Fabulous, super friendly staff everywhere, no exceptions! Gorgeous hotel, grounds, pools and ocean. Beach is quite small but very well kept . Variety and quality of food is 5 star!

The good: the grounds of the hotel is gorgeous, and very different than most other resorts, with the meandering lagoon. Staff are courteous and very helpful. Grounds are kept very clean. the included entrance to the different parks, tours and activities, to me, would be the biggest draw for this hotel. guests can choose to be as active or to just relax around the resort as they choose. the taco stand is a must try, truly awesome tacos! the sunday brunch at the Xpiral is awesome also. The not so good: food in on par with other resorts of its class. Some good, some so so. Buffets lacks variety, which was a surprise to me, and can be quite a long wait, at least for dinner, which again, I didn't expect. The bad: shower temperature. it fluctuates constantly. one second it's burning hot, the next second, cold. apparently, quite a lot of other guests have the same problem also. All in all, other than the shower temperature, I have really enjoyed my stay at this resort. and would go back if I come across a good price.

Attention to every detail, the beauty of this resort cannot be overstated. Gorgeous natural beauty as well as luxurious extras. As someone with a dietary restriction (celiac disease), I had no issues whatsoever. We did many amazing excursions which were included and each exceeded our expectations. We will be back!

True meaning of all inclusive resort. Best food, SUSHI!!! Best service, clean, love the parks, so much to do that it’s different every time we visit! Can’t wait to return again. We love Xcaret!!!!!!

Was there last year and enjoyed it so much we went back again. Resort and people are nice, food is excellent. Changes from last year to this year I didn't like we're the changing timetables and reservation changes at various restaurants. The room was not ready in time. The room we stayed in the A/C did not go below 23c at night even though it was set at 18c. I complained, they sent a repairman. I used Google translator. It seems the hotel controls the limit, I feel. They gave us a fan which helped. They also offered a different room in a location not suitable for us. Funny how the room got cooler by almost 1c a night. Our last night it was 18c. We left our room at 24c during the day. Yes we will go back. Great place, great amneties, never crowded at pool or lagoon settings.

This was my second visit to this resort and incredibly it was even more amazing than the first time. The resort is stunning, nature based and set in the jungle amongst rivers. The rooms are well appointed and have amazing showers. The food, the service, the parks are all top notch.

The resort was stunning, the service was very good. Some language barriers , but nothing huge. The food was excellent. This resort defiantly puts a new spin on traveling to Mexico!! The parks were filled with amazing things to see and do.

Hotel Xcaret is an amazing resort, the staff, the grounds, the food, drinks and the parks are all outstanding. Everyone goes above and beyond to make sure you are enjoying your stay. I can’t think of visiting anywhere else. We upgraded to feugo adult only and it was absolutely amazing !!

Just returned from a week at the Hotel Xcaret. The room was magnificent and exceeded our expectations. We had arrived 4 hours late due to flight delays (mechanical issue and de-icing). The gentlemen who checked us in saw our disheveled and tired faces and changed our room to ensure we had a single, king bed. We ended up in a fabulous corner unit with a sprawling outdoor patio and Jacuzzi. The room service, maids, turn down service were all fantastic we always had ample amounts of shampoo, conditioner, stocked fridge, clean, pressed sheets and snack tray full. The food at the beach restaurant was by far the best. We were only able to get into one a la carte restaurant due to everything being booked and it was late at night (9:30) and to be honest, the rib steak at the beach restaurant was far better as it's cooked on a wood fire grill and served with a herb butter. I liked that the condiments were in little bottles and there were no disposable plastic cups like you see in many resorts that end up littering the ocean. The lagoons were really nice until about Saturday when a storm came in overnight and brought with it strange brown plants that covered the lagoons. The staff did their best to rake it out but I imagine if someone arrived and saw that all week it would be a deterrent to swim and would take away from the view. The beach was red flag all week but at least the lagoons were always calm. The kayaking around the site is fun. It's easy to get lost wandering around the resort. The staff are all very friendly and very personable. You will not be harassed by vendors at this resort - we have been to many where this is the case and it takes away from a relaxing vacation. We have previously visited the Xcaret Park about a decade ago and much has changed. We visited the Xcaret Park twice, the Xenses park and did the Xichen pyramids (long commute but worth it). The Xcaret park cannot be done in 1 day there is just too much to do and see. On the 2nd trip to Xcaret Park we took the little boat that goes around the complex instead of the shuttle. It was nice and we got to see a wild spider monkey on the way back. It just added to the jungle-paradise vibe. We always felt very safe and the people are honest. We didn't have time to do the Xplor site or Xel-Ha (which we did on a previous trip) so we are definitely going to come back but with the kids next time. Speaking of kids, they have their own section and we checked it out and it was fabulous.

The hotel and grounds are absolutely beautiful! I would go back in a heart beat. A bit high priced but a stellar vacation spot! I’m hoping to return next year! Food was fabulous, every inch was spotlessly clean and the maid service and wait staff were amazing!😍

Visited Hotel XCaret Feb2-9th and it exceeded all of our expectations. The people, the food, the pools, the drinks, the parks - all so wonderful! We had the best vacation we've ever had as a family, this is truly an "all inclusive" resort. I rated 4 stars for the beaches/pools because the pools were amazing - however if you are a beach person this may not be the resort for you but everything else was absolutely 5 stars!!

This resort is stunning! Lots to explore. Bonus to have included, & easy access to all the parks.Enjoyed the kayaking & paddle boards. No complaint with the staff very happy and accommodating. Food is very good :) Rooms are beautiful , I personally found the times house keeping could get to us wasn't the best. We were out all day every day, and the room never made till after 3 every day, we had to hang out a couple times when I would have had a nap or get refreshed for dinner. Didn't bother the husband , I feel a expensive resort to let that slide. We went to the Brazilian restaurant in the cave, cool experience and very good, and unable to have accessed again do to private parties, which were Sooooo loud! One night until 5:30 am! :o :(. We have stayed in the adult location twice now , for access to the amazing restaurant , rooftop pool and quite from kids. But this trip the adult private parties were too much, I guess good if your attending. Beware of membership pressure ( timeshare) can end up wasting hours of fun adventures. When you start to feel uncomfortable, its OK to walk away !

Loved the rooms, the pools, the rivers...loved it all! Lots to do and see. Nicest all inclusive that I have visited and every staff person was super friendly. Would have stayed longer if I could have.

Traveled Jan 14 for 4 nights, regretted not booking longer as 4 nights was not long enough to experience all there was to offer. Truly an amazing property! Food was great! Love the heated pool! The scenery was just breath taking. Would defiantly come back.

EXCARET RESORT We vacationed here in August of 2018. The resort is relatively new, so the rooms are in excellent condition, the numerous pools & grounds are well maintained, the food was very good, the sandy beach area is somewhat small but clean, the water was warm & relatively clear but nothing to see when snorkelling. The inshore waterways were good for swimming with sandy beach areas. The snorkelling here was OK near the rocky shores but the water was somewhat cloudy. Kayaks are free to use on the river & there are also waterslides that drop you into the river. The one shortcoming at the resort is the lack of public washrooms near the pools. Most times we went back to our rooms for washroom facilities. However the main reason for booking this resort in my opinion is the numerous adventure outings that are included in the package. My wife & I (both seniors) travelled with our daughter, son-in-law & grandson (age 8). They wanted to explore the various parks & go on excursions, so my wife & I also went along. I must say that we had an extremely busy, fun filled week of adventure. I suggest wearing water socks – something that won’t fall off during various water activities as well as on the zip lines. We basically wore water socks & swim suits all day long at all the excursions except for the trip to the Tulum Ruins. A waterproof camera is a must but you may not be allowed to carry it with you on some activities. There are photo packages available for Hotel Xcaret, Xenotes, Xplor etc. The shuttle bus runs about every 30 minutes from Hotel Xcaret, stopping at Xenses Park, Xcaret Park & then Xplor Park. We went on a half day guided Mayan tour to Tulum where we learned about & explored the ruins. This tour must be booked in advance. There is also a tour to the Chichen Itza ruins, but this tour is an all day tour. This tour involves a 3 hour ride there, a 90 minute guided tour, 60 minutes to wander around, 45 minute drive to a town for lunch, a stop at a cenote & a 2 hour drive back arriving at 6:45 pm. We did not go on this tour but my other daughter was here previously & while she was impressed with the ruins, it proved to be a long hot day. This tour must be booked in advance. We went on the Xenotes all day tour. At the first cenote we rappelled down into the cavern where we floated in the cenote & viewed the rock formations and bat colony. Our daughter, son-in-law & grandson had fun jumping into the water from a 10-foot high ledge. At the second cenote we all zip lined numerous times into the warm waters of the cenote. Our 8-year-old grandson who only weighs 60 pounds was stranded about three quarters of the way down and had to let go, dropping about 15 feet into the water. It didn’t deter him at all as he repeated this zip line thrill at least 5 times. At the third cenote we swam in the warm open waters & made our way into an underground cave. Afterwards we kayaked up & down a river gorge. At the fourth cenote we went down a short water slide that dropped us into the warm water. We then walked up a trail to a cliff where we zip lined back down towards the water until we had to let go and splash back into the cenote. This was followed by a swim in the cenote & cliff jumping for the brave ones. This was a super fun day for all the family & one that we all would do again. Life jackets must be worn for all water activities & are provided free of charge. For lunch a very good jungle picnic was included. This tour must be booked in advance At Xel-Ha we climbed to the top of the lighthouse where we enjoyed the view & then went down the enclosed spiral water slide. We tubed down a lazy jungle river down to the cove or you could also swim down a mangrove-lined river to the cove. We really enjoyed going down the zip lines & splashing into the warm cove water numerous times. The cove also has cliff jumps into the water for the brave (my daughter, son-in-law & grandson), a rope challenge course over the water as well as snorkelling in the cove. There is a jungle bike ride. All food & drinks are also included. It’s definitely worth spending a full day here. This tour must be booked in advance Xplor Park: The shuttle takes about 15 minutes to get to Xplor Park from Hotel Xcaret. At Xplor Park we swam in an underground river that featured caves & stalactites. There is a spelunking hike where you can explore caverns featuring stalagmites. We paddled down an underground river on a raft. We zip lined on two courses, each comprised of seven very high towers. The towers are very high so climbing the stairs may be difficult for people with health issues. Some of the zip lines, you end up splashing into a pool of water. We also enjoyed the hammock splash & got to drive an amphibious jeep on a hilly, twisting, muddy jungle course. Helmets & life jackets are provided & must be worn for all activities. Free lockers are available as well as a change house. Suggest wearing water shoes. Buffet & drinks are also included. You can come and go using the shuttle but we spent the whole day here. Lots of fun for everyone. Our daughter, son-in-law & grandson returned after supper to experience all the activities lit up at night. This was called Xplor Fuego. Xcaret Park: The shuttle takes about 10 minutes to get to Xcaret Park from Hotel Xcaret. At Xcaret Park we swam in an underground river featuring a maze of caves & tunnels as well as fossil formations. We snorkelled in a shallow inlet that had lots of fish for viewing. This park also had a butterfly sanctuary, a bird aviary, a sea turtle cove (gigantic turtles), a shark pool, a coral reef aquarium, a Mayan Village & Mexican Cemetery. You are able to see jaguars, pumas, tapir, deer, flamingos & various other animals scattered among the discovery trails. There are various shows during the day. At night we viewed a spectacular tribute to Mexico Show. Another fun day. Included are food & drinks at the buffet restaurant, but anywhere else in the park you have to pay for food or drinks. Suggest wearing water shoes. Xenses Park: The shuttle takes about 5 minutes to get to Xenses Park from Hotel Xcaret. Here you get to experience 50 various mind-blowing activities that you have to see to believe. One of the experiences involves you feeling your way through a pitch-black tunnel in bare feet & wearing only a bathing suit. It takes about 10 minutes from one end of the tunnel to the other end. This experience is not for anyone who is claustrophobic or afraid of the dark. I will admit I had to pause about half way through and take a breath but I am glad I did the activity. You can also explore a labyrinth of lit underground caves & caverns. You can fly like a bird when strapped into a zip line harness. You can enjoy a natural spa as you float down a river of salts, followed by floating in mud & ending in a shower of fresh water. You can walk through a town where keeping your balance will be a challenge. This town has four fun houses to experience. You can go down an exciting water slide in darkness, not being able to see which direction the next turn is going to take you before you end up in a refreshing pool of water. You can experience all this in a half-day visit. Again another fun outing. Suggest wearing water shoes. As you can see from the write up we were out of the resort 6 of the 7 days enjoying the tours & parks. All these tours & parks were all inclusive in the Hotel Xcaret package. If these tours or parks are not something that you are interested in you may want to consider another resort that may be cheaper.

We have been to at least 10 all inclusive resorts in past 10 yrs. All 5 stars.but this brand new resort is definitely a winner. We loved it so much in March 2018 so we went back for this Christmas 2018 again. Same resort in one year tells you how much we loved this resort. The design is very unique unlike typical all inclusive resort. It is just breathtaking. Everywhere you look you are with the beautiful nature. Food is amazing and the show is top notch.My husband never watches the resort show but gosh.! these people are so talented. You expect these kind shows on cruise ship only. No wonder it is owned by same owner who has all the famous parks in the area. Xcaret,Xelha,Xplor,Xenses..it is all inclusive. Shuttle bus takes you there every 20 min. Just amazing.

Hotel Xcaret is by far the best all inclusive resort I have stayed at. The service and amenities are excellent and having access to all the eco parks from Xcaret is a huge bonus. Staying at Hotel Xcaret is a special and unique experience. Just book it you won't regret it !

This resort opened up in December 2017 and you can tell that they put in a lot of work to maintain the quality of the facility. This place is breathtakingly beautiful. Everything you see in the pictures is exactly what you see in real life. The service is top notch, rooms are amazing and there are lots of options for food. The best part of staying at Hotel Xcaret was experiencing the all inclusive tours/parks. Our favourite tour was the Xenotes but we also had so much fun visiting Xel-Ha Tulum, Xplor and Xenses. Honestly, we're convincing all of our friends that they HAVE to go here and it's been an easy sell so far!!

The hotel is outstanding. The grounds are immaculate and there is SO MUCH to see and do just in the resort itself. From paddling boarding and kayaking to relaxing on a hammock in a cove. The resort is very large and it is spread out nicely. When we were there the resort was at capacity but we never saw more than 10 people in any pool at a time (except for the main large pool but it was never crowded). The food is FANTASTIC. It is fresh and varied and the staff will custom cook almost anything for you. The staff are extremely attentive, kind and friendly. We are planning on going back in March because 7 days wasn't enough to see the resort and all the parks that are included.

This hotel was amazing! The hotel itself was gorgeous, the food delicious, and the staff incredible! The parks and tours included are amazing! A lot of culture, nature and adventure in every single activity you do. One week was not enough time to do everything they have to offer. The hotel is huge and full of surprises, as are the parks, so be prepared, and have in mind what you really want to do as one day might not be enough to cover all activities in one park; especially Xcaret and Xel-Ha; they are massive! My favorite experience was the Xenotes tour. The natural scenery of these magnificent cenotes combined with all the fun activities to do in each of them was truly a life experience I will not forget! The level of customer service was outstanding. Every person I interacted with during my stay was extremely polite and helpful. This is what customer service should look like! I tried to remember the names of everyone I got a good service from, but would honestly have to list every single person I interacted with. Thank you all for making the difference between a good vacation and an outstanding one. Will be recommending this hotel to all my friends and will definitely go back!

My husband and I visited the hotel last week to celebrate his 30th birthday and our 1st year wedding anniversary. We decided to book this resort based on my parents (they visited for the opening) and my sisters recommendations ( they visited on January with a group of 14). I email the resort a couple times asking to be upgraded to be put on Fuego if possible and to remind them of our celebrations (My travel agent requested the same). I got an email back from Aldo Chicon who advised they were aware of my celebrations and their file was noted and they were going to make sure it was acknowledge, he also advised they will check if I could upgrade to Fuego upon check in for an additional fee. Upon arrival we were created by a guy who was extremely rude, I asked about Fuego and he said there we no notes on the system and no space for upgrade. We were put in the Agua building which was nice and adult only area so we decided to leave it at that. We were extremely tired as our fly was delayed and were running on 18 hours of no sleep, I requested a map and he told me his co-worker will give it to me. I went to the co-worker and she told us to follow her and chat about the resort on the bar upstairs, she said it will take 90 mins. I requested the map as I had read here and on the fb group about the timeshare speech. I asked her for the map and declined to go for drinks with her and explained we were tired. She got upset and went to her co-worker complaining that we didn't want to sit, I am bilingual so I responded in Spanish and told her to give me the map, she was taken back that I overhear what she said. She said she will walk us to the room, I asked her questions on our walk and she ignored me. When we got to the room I asked for the map and she said I had to go back to the lobby and listen to her speech to get the map, I got upset and she gave me the map. Guess what, she was holding it on her hand!. The staff working on the pools, bars, parks, gardens and restaurants were incredible and we had a great time with them, they made our trip they go above and beyond to help you. The maid service was food too and our fridge was always stock. The food and facilities are amazing. Customer service on the front desk and buttler is very poor and it needs alot of work. I never hear from buttler unless I call and they also forgot to acknowledge my husband's birthday and anniversary. We kept getting harassed about the timeshare so we decided to do it so they leave us alone, in my opinion it is not worth it and I will never sign up for a timeshare package on which their customer service lacks so much. The beach was unusable due to seaweed not the hotels fault but nature. I bought the photo package and I haven't been able to download them. I will update my review if I get them. In conclusion I found alot of inconsistencies their website states that Agua building has access to the hydrotherapy circuit but the Spa and butler said it wasn't included after alot of back and forth they agreed to honour it unfortunately, it was on our last day so we only went once. My sister was going to get married here but she has changed her mind, we want her day to go smooth and this hotel is not there yet

The Hotel Xcaret is so unique and innovative, I don't think there is any other place in the world like this. It is an ultramodern resort that is architecturally designed to resemble Mayan ruins. Mexican art and culture is displayed with pride, and design elements are classy and sophisticated. The resort uses the natural beauty of Mexico to create a wonderous place where guests can meander down paths, through caves, and over bridges to islands in the lagoons and river. Guests can kayak and paddle board up the river and past cliffs, numerous islands, and waterslides hidden in the rocks. The beautiful beach has a swimming area, but has been left mostly natural and wild. Included in your vacation is entrance to multiple adventure parks, historical tours, and activities, so one can be extremely busy or just laze by the beautiful pools and lagoons around the resort if so desired. There are so many peaceful and scenic places to lounge that one can always find a perfect spot. There is no "towel game" here, and always available loungers near the pool, lagoons, or beach. The rooms are all modern and beautiful, and each has its own pretty and unique view. There are multiple places with USB ports (even the balcony), and an AC and lighting system in the room is controlled from the bedside. The cuisine is excellent and each a la carte restaurant, buffet, or snack bar has its own unique decor and ambience. We really liked the sushi bar, the chefs were creative geniuses. The bar service is exceptional and creative as well. Choose your favourite liquor and have them use their mixology expertise to concoct an innovative new cocktail. The place is amazing, but it really was the staff that make the vacation unforgettable. Each and every employee we encountered was gracious, friendly, and sincere. We accidentally left our safe open, and it was never touched even though the maid and towel service had been in the room. Now that is integrity. The human element can make or break a resort, and this resort has extremely dedicated and caring people working there. Hotel Xcaret has set the bar really high, and we will definitely return.

The hotel, food, excursions and staff were beyond any five star that I have been too. Six parks included with the all inclusive is unheard of but this resort offers this. I am a very busy and active person and was only able to go to two of the parks to complete everything that was offered. Definitely need more than a week to see everything. The rooms were beautiful and very high tech. The staff cleaned the rooms daily and stocked the fridge daily. Everything was seamless from being picked up at the airport to your final day there. I can never say enough about this amazing resort. Any type of food you wanted was there and exceptional. I highly recommend this resort and will be returning.

The service was exceptional! Staff always ready to serve with a big smile on their faces! A special thank you to Daniella at the Viento building! She was the best! Beach chairs were always in excess, never once did we have to get up early to reserve. Parks were very good and we had lots of fun at all of them. My only complaint is that we are not there now:(

Rooms fantastic, meals outstanding, adventures beyond expectations, staff exceptional. Our whole experience was second to none. Thanks to all involved in making our holiday one that we would highly recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay, lots to do and staff were amazing! Food was great with lots of variety. Lovely spacious rooms very clean! Only small drawback was the beach is small. Also we could has done without the timeshare crap.

I visited Hotel Xcaret with my husband and 4 year old son from March 25 – April 3. We booked Garden View room and emailed the hotel 2 weeks in advance to request something quiet and on the 5th flr. We were very lucky to have Viviana from the hotel email us back and help us arrange the airport shuttle, Xin Gao reservation and she said she would try her best to accommodate our room request. We arrived to find out we were placed in Casa Tierra with a wonderful quiet view of the jungle and partial ocean view! It was perfect. Viviana even emailed us the next day to ask if we were happy with the room. I was able to meet her and she was so lovely and happy to help with anything we needed. She genuinely wanted to ensure we enjoyed our stay at the hotel. I have stayed in many all-inclusive resorts and would always find myself getting a bit bored by the same trek to the pool or beach or buffet. But the multiple pools, suspension bridges, lagoons, the beach and then access to the parks made every day feel different and we were not ready to leave. We tried all the restaurants, including the Cave buffet that can be hard (but fun!) to find. We just didn’t try the dinner theatre. We were really happy with the food and service. I’ve never enjoyed steak at all-inclusives before like at this place. And the same can be said with the sushi. I’m from Vancouver where we have some of the best sushi and we weren’t disappointed with Xin Gao. (I can’t believe I’m even writing that!). The buffet selection is smaller as some have said, but I personally prefer that. The quality is just so much better than the trough-like buffets at other resorts. Other resorts try to change things up by having “Italian Night”, “Asian Night” etc., but then never do those themes justice. It’s true that Hotel Xcaret does not have a lot of entertainment, but we also preferred the more chill vibe. No annoying, loud pounding music at the pool. Instead all pool areas had tasteful Mexican or Classical music playing in the background. There would be convenient carts set up throughout the day near the main infinity pool with fresh fruit, juice, or coffee and cookies in the lobby. Sometimes they would serve peel & eat shrimp. The lagoons were wonderful for kids given how calm the water is and the hotel created them to have a shallow section that is perfect for little kids given the open ocean can be rough at times. Although there are no loungers right on the beach, the hotel still provides drink service. I was so pleasantly surprised to see servers trekking along the beach taking orders. The hotel is spotless, and I barely saw any bugs. There is no food service at the pool, so you do have to get up and go to a restaurant for lunch. Would recommend bringing some Tupperware to bring back food to your pool chair if you want. But by not having food service at the pool is does help to keep the place clean and the bugs and birds away. Other great conveniences included the wrist band that was your key to the room, life jackets of all sizes for the lagoon and kids pool. And no towel cards. Carts with towels were available at all water areas. It made it so easy to move from one pool/lagoon to another. I typically don’t like to visit the same place twice, but I would definitely visit this place again. Especially given the convenient access to the various parks that are included for day trips. Unfortunately I’m not sure if we’ll be able to afford this place next year as the prices look like they are almost double, but I will be checking! Amazing service, food and design. I feel so lucky to have been able to experience the hotel.

The resort was beautiful and staff were friendly. Even at full capacity, it did not feel crowded at all. Multiple heated pools throughout the property and lots of restaurants to choose from. The scenery of this resort is incredible. And you have the option to visit so many amazing parks at no additional cost (including xcaret, xplor, xenses, xel ha, xenotes, and more!) The beach is small, but still amazing! Book this resort, you won’t be disappointed.

Everything was absolutely perfect at the Hotel Xcaret! The staff were so friendly and helpful. The resort is absolutely beautiful! The accommodation was perfect! Food was plentiful and tasty! It was so great that the 8 different parks were included in our package. We just needed an extra week there to enjoy them all! We had a wonderful week!

This hotel property is absolutely stunning. I thought the lack of onsite entertainment would be an issue but it was not. So many different pools, lagoons and rivers to swim, snorkel and boat in that we didn't miss it. If we had too much sun, we simply went to one of the included parks. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding.

One of a kind, unbelievable! Everyone should take the time to stay at this awesome resort. The rooms, the workers, the pools, the food, the river, unbeatable! They all treat you like royalty and work so hard. The best resort we're EVER stayed at in all our travels. Recommend it to everyone! 10 stars !!

Just returned from one week at Hotel Xcaret (Feb 9-16th) with 2 other couples to celebrate our 60th birthdays. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Rooms, pools, food, parks and staff were amazing. Outstanding 5 star All-Inclusive Resort. Would definitely return again.

While this resort wasn't fully operational when we went (the lagoons weren't fully finished for swimming in) it was still amazing. Friendly staff- you could stop anyone and ask a question and they were respectful, kind and always willing to help out. The resort itself was beautiful. Well spread out so even though this is a larger resort you never felt that you were crowded. Having the parks included in the cost of this resort is amazing. If I ever thought of taking my son to Disney again--I wouldn't. If you like outdoors this a great place to take family. Having the opportunity to snorkel, underwater rivers, etc.... via the parks is way better for the adventurer then Disney (in my opinion) and I think when it is fully operational, very comparable in price. Three friends went to this resort. The rooms were large with lots of space for us and, in reality, four of us could have fit very comfortably in the room if we wanted to. The balconies are large enough for two hammocks, little alcove with a coach and it had another chair on it. Sometimes they were a bit later with making up the room but we would just call, let them know we were heading out for drinks and supper and would ask them to make the room. It was always done when we returned. The bar fridge was the same--well stocked and if we ever needed anything we just called and they would arrive in a very timely fashion. Food was great with a lot of variety- something for everyone. If you are a beach lover you may not be as enthused. The beach is lovely but not very long so you can't go for long walks along the beach. But they have paths everyone on the resort and you can walk easily and safely. While we were there the winds were high so we couldn't snorkel off the beach (although we were told you can when it's calm). The water was lovely and warm. For the cooler days the heated infinity pool was lovely (although the ocean water was, I think, almost the same temperature). For us, we booked when they had their opening deal--it was an amazing deal. But, even looking at the prices now and know what we got for service, food, inclusion of the park I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

This resort is more then we could have ever asked for. From the moment the private shuttle picks you up and takes you directly to the resort it was seemless. The check in was a breeze and we even got an upgrade. Which in all honesty wasn't necessary as you spend little time in your room and the standard garden rooms are absolutely beautiful! Large rooms, comfortable beds, hammocks on the deck, spa like washroom that's beyond beautiful! I don't even know if we seen everything at the resort as there are so many secret beautiful spots to explore and see both day and night. Amazing pools, rivers and beach! Restaurants were above and beyond, including the always fresh buffet where meals can be prepped right in front of you as well. Trust me, you won't go hungry here! And best of all, the all fun inclusive package. This by far was the selling point for me! A shuttle comes every 20-30mins to take you to three different parks, Xcaret, Xplor, Xenses. And they all offer something amazing for all family members. Book this place, it will not dissapoint! I could go on and on, but it's truly a must see resort!

Hotel Xcaret is an absolutely stunning resort with many surprises like water slides that go into the lagoon/river and simple workout equipment in the gardens. The rooms are luxurious, beds comfortable, and the towels absorb the water as soon as they touch your skin. We had fantastic service during our stay, when our fridge was low or we needed something for the room we simply called and our request was fulfilled quickly. We ordered room service a couple of times and the longest we had to wait was approximately 40 minutes during the busy breakfast time. The All Fun Inclusive was exceptional; the opportunity to experience so many different things without worrying about the additional cost to do them was amazing. We toured Coba, Tulum, then spent a few hours at Xel-ha one day, another day we went to Xeynotes (this was our favourite), we went to Xcaret park 3 times for a couple hours each time (the Mayan Village there is the best place to purchase authentic souvenirs for a reasonable price), we also went to Xenses park which was a really unique experience. The food at the resort restaurants was quite good but I enjoy a range of foods and flavours so not sure how a fussy eater would feel. I would go back in a heartbeat as I can only see this place getting better as time passes and the small issues are all worked out. We booked our room one month after opening and enjoyed this resort two months after it opened; we were able to book at a discounted price.

Have been to several resorts in the area, this one is the most beautiful with the nicest rooms. I generally look for smaller resorts but am so pleased that I chose this one. The included parks were why I went here- an opportunity to go to more parks and excursions then you will have time to do in a week at no extra cost. But the resort was beyond expectations on its own. All the staff I encountered were friendly and went out of their way to answer questions.

Beyond expectation all view hotel with exelent service! The rooms and restaurants are designed very creatively, cosy, modern, relaxing and nature wize. The food was gourmet and delicious. The infinity pool is heated.
