| 2 | Halifax - Peggy's Cove - Halifax Begin the day with a visit to one of the most picturesque spots in all of Nova Scotia - beautiful Peggy's Cove. Later this morning, enjoy a scenic tour of Halifax highlighting the Public Gardens, Halifax waterfront, Spring Garden Road and a great photo opportunity at the famous Citadel. The remainder of the day is at leisure. (B, D) |
| 3 | Halifax - Moncton, New Brunswick Today you travel to New Brunswick where you will visit an island which is home to Le Pays De La Sagouine, an Acadian Village. Join the cast of characters which will entertain you with drama, music, song and comedy. Later today, your senses will enjoy Olivier Soapery. This unique place allows visitors to participate and learn about the history and art of soap making. Afterwards, discover the picturesque fishing village of Shediac. During your visit, take part in a special dinner and lobster excursion. A local fisherman aboard the boat will teach you how to catch, cook and crack your very own lobster. (B, D) |
| 4 | Moncton - Fundy Trail - Moncton Begin your day with a scenic ride through New Brunswick en route to the famous Hopewell Rocks. Later this afternoon, a highlight will be a visit to the spectacular Fundy Trail. This is one of the most picturesque locations on the Bay of Fundy - take a short walk to various scenic lookouts and view the ancient rugged cliffs, waterfalls and nature. (B) |
| 5 | Moncton - Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island Cross the Confederation Bridge this morning as you arrive in the land known as the ^island cradled in the waves,^ Prince Edward Island. Travel to The College of Piping and experience the fascinating history as you enjoy a Celtic show. This afternoon you arrive in Charlottetown. You will have time to independently explore this quant town. (B, D) |
| 6 | Charlottetown Today you visit Anne of Green Gables, the house in which Lucy Maud Montgomery lived and upon which she based her acclaimed book, ^Anne of Green Gables.^ You will then head to the picturesque beaches of Cavendish National Park and visit a wharf in Rustico, famous for its fishing boats and lobster traps. Tonight, visit the heritage attraction of Founders' Hall, Canada's Birthplace Pavilion. Here you will enter ^The Time Travel Tunnel^ to 1864 and learn the origins of Canada. Dinner overlooking the Charlottetown harbor will follow. (B, D) |
| 7 | Charlottetown - Baddeck, Nova Scotia Return to Nova Scotia by ferry before crossing the Canso Causeway onto lovely Cape Breton Island. Here you will drive along the pristine shores of Bras d'Or Lake before discovering the amazing inventions at the Alexander Graham Bell Museum in Baddeck. (B, D) |
| 8 | Baddeck - Cabot Trail - Baddeck Sure to be another memorable highlight of your journey, you travel along the famous Cabot Trail, one of the most scenic drives on the Atlantic coast. One of the first stops is the famed St. Peter's church in Cheticamp. This wonderful journey also includes visits to many fishing villages and communities including Neil's Harbour and Ingonish before returning to beautiful Baddeck. (B) |
| 9 | Baddeck - Wolfville Learn about the history and culture of the Acadian people with a visit to the charming Grand Pre National Park. Grand Pre, French for ^great meadow,^ is the center of the Acadian cultural renaissance. It was on this site that much of Longfellow's epic story ^Evangeline^ took place.
