| 1 | Arrive New Orleans Arrive in New Orleans by 5.00pm. Your Tour Director is available at the hotel from 1.00-6.00pm. Tonight, enjoy a welcome drink hosted by our Tour Director. |
| 2 | New Orleans - Biloxi (2) Morning sightseeing in New Orleans with a local guide. We'll see the French Quarter, Garden District, Lake Pontchartrain, the Superdome, plus one of the ^Cities of the Dead^. This afternoon, we head to Biloxi. Here we visit Beauvoir, the home of Jefferson Davis. (AB D) |
| 3 | Biloxi - Mobile - Bellingrath Gardens - Biloxi We're off to Alabama and Mobile. We visit the WWII battleship USS Alabama at Battleship Memorial Park. Later, in the afternoon we visit Bellingrath Gardens. Then we take a cruise on a real shrimp trawler. (AB) |
| 4 | Biloxi - Jackson A scenic drive through the pine forests of Mississippi on our way to Jackson. En route, we visit the Mississippi Agricultural and Forestry Museum. Then we stop at Fortenberry-Parkman Farm, built in the 1860's. (AB D) |
| 5 | Jackson - Vicksburg - Natchez This morning we explore Jackson, including a visit to the restored Old State Capitol, followed by a guided tour of the Governor's Mansion. Then we are off to Vicksburg National Military Park for a guided tour. Our next stop is at Natchez where this evening we enjoy dinner in the elegance of Lansdowne Mansion. (AB) (HD) |
| 6 | Natchez - Lafayette (2) First a sightseeing tour of Natchez. Our local guide will take us through a gorgeous Ante-Bellum home. From here we head to Baton Rouge for an orientation tour of the city before arriving at Lafayette for the first of our two-night stay. (AB D) |
| 7 | Lafayette sightseeing We visit Vermilionville, a re-created Acadian Village that captures the French Creole atmosphere. The afternoon is free to perhaps explore Cajun Country. (AB) |
| 8 | Lafayette - Swamp Tour - New Orleans (2) We visit the lovely Nottoway Plantation before a swamp tour of the bayous with expert local guides. Finally, back to New Orleans where we stroll through the French Quarter. This evening is at leisure. (AB) |
