There’s no better place to begin your happily ever after than on what’s known as the One Happy Island. Say “I do” surrounded by Aruba’s pristine white sand and crystal clear waters, then wake up to your honeymoon in paradise.
Why Aruba?
If dreamy sunsets and starry nights aren’t enough, Aruba boasts 24 soft sand beaches and 30 top notch hotels and resorts for all budgets and tastes (with many all-inclusive options for ultimate luxury!). The restaurants, spas, pools, amenities, and attentive service will make your stay magical.
The island is situated outside the hurricane belt so you can exchange vows any time of year and enjoy consistently sunny weather with a cooling breeze (and little rainfall!). Besides the weather, the people are known to be some of the warmest, too!

The details
Local wedding experts are available to plan your big day and customize the details to suit your style and budget. From place settings and cakes to flowers and photography, their attention to detail is impeccable.
Choose an independent planner or work with the resort’s wedding planner. Both have the contacts and expertise of the island needed to organize your big day. Converse via email or video chat before you arrive and then meet in Aruba for the final touches.
Most resorts are also equipped with professional hair stylists, makeup artists, and nail technicians.
The setting
Choose your ideal setting to exchange vows, whether it’s barefoot on the sand or in a local church or chapel on hill. If a beachfront wedding has always been your dream, plan to walk down an aisle made of soft sand and dance beneath the palms.
There are indoor and outdoor spaces for the reception at the resort, or choose something unique like a reception onboard a sailboat. Choose to dine at the hotel or have a local restaurant cater. Whatever your preference and whatever your style (greenery, rustic, elegant, trendy, etc.), it can happen in Aruba.

The ceremony
You can have a religious ceremony in Aruba with some advanced planning. For a Jewish or Catholic wedding, a marriage ceremony must occur in a Synagogue or Church first. For Protestant weddings, the ceremony can occur anywhere you wish. If you didn’t get legally married at home, you can have a licensing ceremony at the historic Town Hall in front of two witnesses. Wedding requirements, including documentation can be found here.
The activities
On the days leading up to the wedding, guests can spend time at the spa or playing a round of golf. Book water sports, horseback rides, or other excursions for the wedding party, followed by dinner under the stars.
The perks
Book your stay at a participating resort to enjoy:
- Preferred check-in service
- Bottle of champagne upon arrival
- Special gifts for the two of you
- Free night when you return for your first anniversary
- Discounts and special offers on activities and attractions
Plus, as part of your bridal registry, guests can pre-purchase elements of your honeymoon like excursions, car rentals, spa treatments, and dinners for you to enjoy during the honeymoon.
