Travel agent Jean Arseneau just spent a week in Punta Cana at the newly renovated Luxury Bahia Principe Ambar. He also had the opportunity to visit all the other Bahia Principe Hotels and Resorts properties in Punta Cana:
Luxury Bahia Principe Esmeralda, Grand Bahia Principe Aquamarine, Grand Bahia Principe Bavaro, Grand Bahia Principe Turquesa, Grand Bahia Principe Punta Cana and Fantasia Bahia Principe Punta Cana.

Resorts part of the “Family and Friends Experience” are family-oriented with activities and entertainment for all ages. Those part of the “Escape Experience” are sophisticated properties that allow visitors to really relax and unwind.

LUXURY BAHIA PRINCIPE AMBAR (Escape Experience, Adults-Only)
Located on Bavaro Beach, 35 minutes from the airport, this resort is great for singles and couples. There are 144 new junior suite deluxe swim-up rooms, renovated in November 2018. There is a great Bahia spa, casino and a new sport bar next to the lobby. Bahia Principe Village is where all the action is. There are great restaurants and a beach and pool foam party with entertainment.
LUXURY BAHIA PRINCIPE ESMERALDA (Family & Friends Experience)
With 568 junior suite deluxe rooms, this resort is great for families. There is babysitting/childcare available and a free children’s club for ages 4-12. There is free WI-FI in rooms and public areas.
GRAND BAHIA PRINCIPE AQUAMARINE (Escape Experience, Adults-Only)
This resort has 498 rooms. It’s best for adventurous and fun-loving guests who enjoy both sports and leisure. Amenities at this all inclusive resort include a gym, spa, mini-bar, free WI-FI, sports and activities.
GRAND BAHIA PRINCIPE BAVARO (Family & Friends Experience)
Great value for your money, this resort is for travellers interested in water sports, excursions and outdoor activities. It’s a popular spot for families with great amenities for all ages. There are 744 junior suite superior rooms.
GRAND BAHIA PRINCIPE TURQUESA (Family & Friends Experience)
This all-inclusive resort is next to a golf course and on the beach. Hard Rock Golf Club at Cana Bay and Iberostar Golf Course are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda. It’s a great family resort with amenities for kids (very similar to Bahia Principe Bavaro Reosrt and Grand Bahia Principe Punta Cana).
GRAND BAHIA PRINCIPE PUNTA CANA (Family & Friends Experience)
Destination weddings are very popular at this resort due to its great price point. It’s a family resort with great amenities for kids.
FANTASIA BAHIA PRINCIPE PUNTA CANA (Family & Friends Experience)
This is a dream world for kids and adults alike. Kids start their experience at the check-in, where they can meet enjoy games and magic tricks. The resort features a water park, a kids club for ages 4-12 and teens club for ages 12-17. There’s a gym, spa, cinema, dance hall and DJ, video game consoles, billiards,a football table and ping pong. As for adults, they just see their kids have fun and enjoy theirstay as well. The sound and light shows and a variety of surprises will be amazing! The hotel has 512 rooms which consist of castle front (where you can look at the castle everynight), castle view overlooking the pool and junior suite deluxe (with a garden view).
