With its mild weather, pink sand beaches, and friendly locals, it is no wonder why travellers continue to dream about the magical paradise of Bermuda - it offers something for everyone! Just picture yourself at the beach, lounging comfortably under the sun with a delicious tropical cocktail. Here you can also explore the vast foliage of Tom Moore’s Jungle at Blue Hole Park and get acquainted with an abundance of wildlife, natural ponds, and spectacular caves. After, learn about Bermuda’s roots and visit the Anglican Cathedral which was built of native stones and imported Caen stone. Then when you’re ready to unwind, sample your way through delectable local cuisines such as wahoo and the ubiquitous rockfish. With so much to offer, every moment spent here promises to be memorable!
Getting Around: Most travellers arrive at the Bermuda International Airport, which is east of the City of Hamilton and Somerset. From here, visitors can travel the city by taxi or minivan. More than 600 taxis are available on Bermuda and each cab carries a maximum of four passengers.
Bermuda is the only Atlantic island that restricts non-residents to drive cars. This is due to the fact that Bermuda has extremely narrow roads, small or nonexistent shoulders and hundreds of blind curves. On your visit, you’ll have to rely on taxis, bikes, or motorized bicycles called “putt-putts.”
Where to Stay: Whether you are planning on travelling alone, as a couple, with family, or friends, Bermuda offers plenty of accommodation options. From the 3-star Grotto Bay to the 5-star Fairmont Hamilton Princess, there is something here to suit every budget and taste.
Weather: Bermuda experience a mild climate all-year round. From mid-December to late March, Bermuda boasts an average temperature of 16 to 21C. During summer, the temperature rarely rises above 29C. The off season in Bermuda is the exact opposite of that in the Caribbean. It begins in December and lasts until about the first week of March.

Verified PurchaserThe St Regis Bermuda Resort: Wonderful hotel
The staff were amazing ! The hotel was nice and clean. On the down side, we couldn’t get our room until 4.30 upon arrival, so a day wasted there, the food was a major disappointment apart from breakfast. The BLT restaurant was not good, our steaks were so tuff we couldn’t finish them, when we complained, our compensation was a splash more wine in our glass, given the price, we would never go again

Nice Hotel, courteous staff, nice views, nice rooms and very good food. The
Hotel is very large and spread out over
quite a few acres. Found it a
challenge to navigate. I was staying in the Bermudian which is the furthest point
from the lobby. The map provided is a bit lacking. It reminded me of being in a
maze. Truly a challenge. Room rate was reasonable but shops were a tad
expensive. The “maze factor†is the only negative I can think of.

Verified PurchaserGrotto Bay: Great Hotel
My husband and I stayed at the Grotto Bay for one week during hurricane
Humberto.
The hotel staff were amazing and really made sure all patrons were safe
and comfortable.
Terrific food and rooms.
We will be back!
We had first stayed at Grotto Bay Resort 10 years ago and thought it was wonderful then. Our opinion has not changed during our recent visit. The staff are still awesome, the room was clean with a spectacular view. The resort on a whole is being very well maintained. Food was great, beach was lovely! Very handy to the airport, only a 10 minute drive. Also a 10 minute walk to the Swizzle Inn which is always a fun time. We will definitely be back!

Verified PurchaserGrotto Bay: Best Ever
Bermuda was the best vacation we have taken, usually we are ready to come home after a few days no matter where we went, this vacation we didn't want to leave. Grotto Bay was wonderful, great food, great service, every member of the staff was super friendly and always willing to help, they suggested sites to see that we never would have thought of, and, if you stay there, meet and talk to as many people and guests as possible as they will also tell you of the many places they have visited on the island and which ones impressed them. Trip Central did a great job of booking all the travel arrangements and answered all are questions and addressed all our concerns in a thoroughly professional manner, of all the other travel agencies they were the most co-operative and informative. Our room at Grotto Bay was spacious, and very clean, the first day there our shower nozzle broke, we called the front desk and it was repaired that day! We particularly enjoyed the history of the island, one week was not long enough !!!!

Verified PurchaserFairmont Southampton: A Wonderful Retreat
The Fairmount Southampton is a wonderful hotel with many fine dining rooms. The shuttles to the beach and Waterlot/Ferry Dock were excellent. The private beach was beautiful and interesting for snorkelers. The view from the room was wonderful, being located on some of the highest land on the island. The Gibbs Lighthouse is within walking distance.
The only real set back to this location was that there wasn't any other amenities or restaurants not associated with the hotel. The cabs were always present and if you wish to spend and little less on transportation the No.7 and 8 bus went past the hotel taking you to the Dockyard or Hamilton. The private Ferry form from the Waterlot did travel 3 times a day and took you directly into Hamilton. This is a picturesque capital with plenty of shopping. The concierge desk was very friendly and organised outings efficiently and promptly.

Verified PurchaserFairmont Southampton: 3rd visit-not as amazing
Public areas and hotel grounds were just the way we remembered them. Everything was clean and staff are always very pleasant! The hotel beach & access to horseshoe bay and the rest of the beaches in Warwick parish are stunning as always! The main notable difference this time was that the menus previously had many healthy options to choose from and this time we were not as satisfied with options that were available. Many "fried" selections whereas previous visits had many heartwise; gluten-free; fat-wise options that were commendable.....not sure why the menus at the restaurants were changed....but it was disappointing to see it go. Also, the former "Baci" on site was replaced with a pub.....although a good option for families.....Baci's dinner options were also far superior. Ocean Club-level of service not as it used to be. Private beach is also not cleaned up very well at day's end by staff which is upsetting due to the ocean conscience values the hotel promotes. Waterlot was amazing as always! The concierge was unavailable by phone most days-which was also frustrating. Also asked for 3 luggage racks as we were 4 guests and was told that no more were available!!!Definitely not the experience I remember from previous years. Perhaps the 17% gratuity is making things a bit too complacent for staff. Not sure, but something that I think management needs to closely take a look at in order to ensure the level of service promised to guests is actually fulfilled.

Verified PurchaserGrotto Bay: great resort but going in feb has its drawbacks
the resort grounds and the staff get a 9. out of 10 but value for money gets a 4
there is only a gas station down the hill to get chips/pop/junk food etc with the nearest restaurant 5 kms away and the resort buffets averaged 45 usd with a mandatory 17% service charge
the caves were a worthwhile tour at 32usd per person for two caves which we did over two days due to the weather in feb being in the low to mid 60s with rain and heavy wind so no beach or pool time
I went to this resort looking to refresh and pamper myself. And it more than exceeded my expectations. It was quiet, but that was what I was looking for. The accommodations were modern and clean. The grounds were exceptionally well groomed. The service was personal and attentive. The staff were genuinely kind and friendly. The food at the restaurants was 5 star, as was the wait staff. I would not hesitate to return or recommend.

Classic older hotel with tremendous charm. Great Bermudian hospitality from the cleaning staff to the front desk to the shuttle drivers to the restaurant servers. Off-season so not all amenities available, but we knew this going in. Great stay!
The hotel and staff fulfilled all my expectations. Clean, pleasant and lots of restaurants, beaches, pools and excellent shuttle service.

Verified PurchaserFairmont Southampton: Very Regal Resort
Our first impression of the resort upon check in was that of appreciation for the incredible aesthetics, cleanliness of the hotel and professional/polite staff that efficiently registered us then directed us to our room. We were pleased with our room as the room was very clean, spacious and comfortable. The grounds were immaculate as is the overall condition of the main building. The food was great, expensive but definitely great!
At no fault of Fairmont, we simply felt out of place. The resort was too much for our needs and what we are accustomed to. Should anyone wish to experience the potential of full pamper, opulence and care, this is the place for you.
Beautiful beaches, amazing food, stunning hotel. Wil definitely come back again. Only a 2 hour-ish flight from Toronto. Only down fall is the automatic 17 percent gratuity with any meal at any restaurant on site.

The Fairmont Southampton is located on the most beautiful property. The grounds are immaculate and the view was stunning! The food and service in all the restaurants the we visited was very good. Verified PurchaserFairmont Southampton: Most amazing resort.
The restaurants, spa, golf course, rooms and outstanding staff make this beautiful resort a place you want to return to, time and time again. The onsite trolley service makes it very convenient to get to the beautiful private beach for a day of relaxing and swimming.
The Fairmont Southampton is a fabulous resort which has everything you need and if it doesn't have what you need it has shuttles that will drop you off at the bus stops or a free ferry ride that will take you downtown Hamilton so you can get it. The staff are super friendly. Both swimming pools are beautiful and the outdoor pool is almost as hot as the outdoor hot tub. The beach club is gorgeous with lots of tennis courts, plenty of loungers and stunning sandy beach. I would say this is the best hotel with the most amenities on the island.

Verified PurchaserFairmont Southampton: Very nice people
My family had a great time, we travelled down for my daughter's 6th bday and enjoyed our stay. The staff was very friendly and want to make sure your stay is enjoyable. The beech is amazing even though you have to take a bus to it. The food was great only meal we feel we was not up to par was the breakfast at the Windows resurant as the food was cold.
Resort is decent with acceptable rooms, friendly service and nice touches around the resort. We went during the off season so the hotel was 30% at capacity. Cookie & Tea time was a nice touch. Close to the airport but there wasn't any noise disturbances for us.

This hotel is a lovely spot to vacation, it is clean, friendly staff, great food, comfy beds, did I say friendly and caring staff, and easy to get to area attractions and chopping. I have been twice in one year I hope to go again soon. Thank you to trip central for offering great four day packages, you make it possible to take a short high end holiday without any worry and Sue Snider is the best agent I have ever dealt with, she is thorough and knowledgeable, I will visit her for all my holiday needs.
