Bermuda Vacations

With its mild weather, pink sand beaches, and friendly locals, it is no wonder why travellers continue to dream about the magical paradise of Bermuda - it offers something for everyone! Just picture yourself at the beach, lounging comfortably under the sun with a delicious tropical cocktail. Here you can also explore the vast foliage of Tom Moore’s Jungle at Blue Hole Park and get acquainted with an abundance of wildlife, natural ponds, and spectacular caves. After, learn about Bermuda’s roots and visit the Anglican Cathedral which was built of native stones and imported Caen stone. Then when you’re ready to unwind, sample your way through delectable local cuisines such as wahoo and the ubiquitous rockfish. With so much to offer, every moment spent here promises to be memorable!

Getting Around: Most travellers arrive at the Bermuda International Airport, which is east of the City of Hamilton and Somerset. From here, visitors can travel the city by taxi or minivan. More than 600 taxis are available on Bermuda and each cab carries a maximum of four passengers.

Bermuda is the only Atlantic island that restricts non-residents to drive cars. This is due to the fact that Bermuda has extremely narrow roads, small or nonexistent shoulders and hundreds of blind curves. On your visit, you’ll have to rely on taxis, bikes, or motorized bicycles called “putt-putts.”

Where to Stay: Whether you are planning on travelling alone, as a couple, with family, or friends, Bermuda offers plenty of accommodation options. From the 3-star Grotto Bay to the 5-star Fairmont Hamilton Princess, there is something here to suit every budget and taste.

Weather: Bermuda experience a mild climate all-year round. From mid-December to late March, Bermuda boasts an average temperature of 16 to 21C. During summer, the temperature rarely rises above 29C. The off season in Bermuda is the exact opposite of that in the Caribbean. It begins in December and lasts until about the first week of March.

  • ★★★ Binder Keef -  Verified Purchaser The St Regis Bermuda Resort: Wonderful hotel

The staff were amazing ! The hotel was nice and clean. On the down side, we couldn’t get our room until 4.30 upon arrival, so a day wasted there, the food was a major disappointment apart from breakfast. The BLT restaurant was not good, our steaks were so tuff we couldn’t finish them, when we complained, our compensation was a splash more wine in our glass, given the price, we would never go again

  • ★★★★ Private -  Verified Purchaser Grotto Bay: Grotto Bay Relaxing Stay

Grotto bay I went to grotto bay with my fiancé and we had a great vacation. Property: well maintained, beautifully landscaped and clean. The view across the bay is the airport but you barely hear the planes come in and the view of the water is still great. The beach is smaller, especially when the tide is up but lots of chairs but there wasn’t many people at the resort while we were there. Rooms: clean, spacious, soaps and conditioners provided, soft towels and VERY comfortable bed and pillows. We stayed at Oceanview on the right of the property and the views were great with a balcony. Staff: Everyone was friendly and attentive. Kionne at the bar was personable. Dario in the dining hall was funny and a great waiter - enjoyed his stories. Entertainment: It was either their slow season and they don’t do bigger night shows until it picks up but this was really the only thing this hotel was lacking that we are use to at All Inclusives. The comedian was funny Sunday night and there was a historian one night and we missed the dance party on the weekend. Pool: it was too cold for the pool when we were here but they have a jacuzzi that is nice and hot when the weather isn’t! We did two days at the jacuzzi. If the weather was warmer the swim up bar would have been great. Food: one of the best resorts for food. Did the breakfast and lunch buffets and they only had one of two restaurants open and the food was delicious. We were on the all inclusive meal plan and glad we were - I think we would have spent a lot more money if we weren’t - Bermuda is expensive for food and drinks. We took the kayaks out from the dive shop and toured around the island that’s in the bay - saw some beautiful fish. We did the cave massage (very expensive but if you can do it it is a neat experience with the droplets dripping into the water from the ceiling of the cave). We also were able to borrow a scooter from a couple and we toured the whole island in a day - I wouldn’t recommend if you aren’t comfortable driving a scooter especially if you aren’t use to driving on the wrong side of the road!) Booking through trip central was easy and smooth - lots of emails keeping you up to date.
