Verified PurchaserInfinity Bay Spa and Beach Resort: Great Beach and location
The beach and location were amazing. Employees were very friendly and eager to please.
Check in was extremely slow. We were part of the all inclusive plan which only included buffet meals. Breakfast was incredibly. Tons of choices. Lunch and dinners were very disappointing. Very limited options. Snacks at the beach consisted of cheese sticks and fruit cocktail. There is a wonderful restaurant on the grounds. Food looked amazing but you had to pay extra. There was no where to just grab a burger for lunch. We ended going into West End 3 times for lunch. If I did go back, I would definitely not pay for the all inclusive option. It is not worth it. Most people there only had breakfast included which I would do. So many great restaurants in town one along the beach.
Rooms small but kept clean
Resort on small side
Staff not tourist friendly
Food bad. Many guests came down with food born illness including one in our group of four.
The all inclusive at this resort only includes the buffet. Many stations were out of food on multiple nights and were only filled when asked. There appeared to be a manager on the floor but was not sure what he was managing. Two nights on two occasions we talked with him about empty trays of food. Check in was a disaster. Dealt with us all as a group and would not give out keys until everyone was checked in. Do not recommend this hotel

Verified PurchaserHenry Morgan Resort: Roatan a beautiful island
This is our second year staying at Henry Morgan resort. We stayed in a beach view room which was clean but very minimal . The people above us were very noisy starting at 5 am. Food was plentiful but repetitive. The resort needs upgrading and a facelift as it’s not a cheap resort to stay at for 2 weeks. The main complaint is the noisey music which plays all day at the beach. You can’t read or talk due to the loud music which is repetitive. Music continues from 8-11 pm every day . Entertainment is geared to kids and not adults. George the hospitality manager is great as well as the dining, beach and housekeeping staff. The beach and ocean are amazing. I will not be returning due to the above issues. Also west jet is awful. Small plane with very little leg room and delays returning back to Toronto due to waiting for late people to board. Also beach lounges are very old and uncomfortable. Many were broken ! The afternoon beach restaurant offers fried food every afternoon. Would be nice if healthier choices were available.

Verified PurchaserMedia Luna Resort: Media Luna is Amazing
If you are looking to get away from the crowds and want a relaxing getaway with great diving and snorkeling, this is the resort for you. Sheltered bay makes for outstanding snorkeling and diving. Dive shop on premises compliments of Turquoise divers offers shore and boat diving. All brand new equipment for rentals. The resort itself is fantastic. Renovations have been done to the main building and bungalow rooms. New comfy mattresses, big screen TV, fast reliable WiFi in every room. The staff is super friendly and helpful and the service is first class throughout. The entire property is very clean and well maintained. We could always find a seat on the beach or at the pools and the buffet/bar lineups were minimal. I can't say enough good things about this place and can't wait to go back.

Verified PurchaserHenry Morgan Resort: Will not return to this resort
This vacation was a vacation from Hell. Our room was full of
black mold. I was coughing for the whole two weeks. The food made us sick. Hot Food was cold . Cold food was at room temperature There was a variety of food
If you dare to eat it, they brought a microwave to heat the food.
The staff was good, they didn't speak English. The bar staff spoke good English. Sunwing did get the resort to clean the room. It is too late for our health to go between coughing and running, No toilet paper was allowed to go in the toilet.

Verified PurchaserHenry Morgan Resort: Henry Morgan Resort
This resort, to me, seems extremely large. We were in the newer rooms very close to the beach - L22 - and most activities including the restaurant. Most of the other rooms are quite some distance from the beach or pool. You wouldn’t want to forget anything. Overall I found the resort to be very LOUD with incessant announcements or music or pool activities. During the day approximately 5 to 15 people attended. At night it was more. To me the big selling feature of this hotel is the proximity to the reef and the ability to go snorkelling right off the beach.

Verified PurchaserMedia Luna Resort: Beautiful, serene place
Very quiet and private place. If you are looking for a peaceful place to relax this is your place.
The room was actually a separate bungalow with its very on private deck.
The staff is very nice and attentive, however not all of them speaks English so at times can be frustrating.
The servers are very helpful. All young people with lots of energy and positive attitude.
The food is in general pretty good if you are not a picky eater. The variety is not to big but you have all you need. My only suggestion for breakfast would be to offer more variety of coffee. We had only one option- the regular americano.
The bar had many drink options. If you are a sports lover they have a gym, kayaks, water boards and snorkeling gear for your convenience.
Overall it was a good stay.

Verified PurchaserHenry Morgan Resort: Beautiful island and resort
Henry Morgan resort and staff excellent. Beach is gorgeous and island people very friendly. Resort food and rooms excellent.George the hospitality manager is amazing and always checking that everything meets our needs. Thanks to O’Neill travel advisor for a seamless travel experience.
The beaches are private for this resort and absolutely stunning. The snorkeling is some of the best we’ve ever experienced. It’s like having your own personal aquarium to swim in. You are guaranteed to see some pretty phenomenal fish and sea critters every time you go out - and that’s right off the beach!
The resort itself is aged and could benefit from some renovations and upgrades. Not all the staff speak English, so some communication was difficult.
There is only 1 buffet restaurant- you won’t go hungry but the food is far from gourmet.

Verified PurchaserHenry Morgan Resort: May not what you may be expecting
First off let me say that the owners and staff are great.
I was a little disappointed in the resort as a whole. It is old. It is not what you expect a resort to be in 2024. I would describe it as being cottage like. The entire structure is wood. The rooms are raised off the ground and walk ways are entirely wood. It's just like being on you back yard deck.
The food is typical resort food but there are a variety of restaurants to choose from along the beach. Henry Morgan is midway along the beach.
The beach is fantastic. Grass may wash up if there is a rough ocean. It's not the long stringy weed that you find in Mexico or Dominican. It wil be 6 inch grass. Not a problem. Roatan is a diver and snorkeling paradise. The coral reef guards the beach so big waves don't roll in. This resort is one of the shaded. The clientel are older retired people for the most part but there are still kids.
The plumbing is old. We lost hot water after one day . I thought the housekeeping would catch that but they did not. I had to report it and it was corrected promptly.
Get the beachside rooms otherwise you will walk the wood walk ways.
Entertainment was really just kid oriented. But I did not observe entertainment anywhere else either.
I will be back to Roatan but maybe try a different more modern facility. I expect I will pay more of course.

Verified PurchaserMayan Princess Beach Resort: Nice Beach and very quiet resort
This place has an interesting vibe.
Pros
- The grounds are beautiful and the beach area is the best and biggest on this stretch of West Bay. Both pools are very nice too.
- The rooms were fine but if you're a diver bringing equipment then the so called adults side rooms (La Sienas) are too small with the queen bed in them.
- If it's peace and quiet you want then this is the place. No entertainment and everything closes down by 9:45 pm.
- Food is fine at the buffet. If you're a picky eater you will not starve. Chicken and veggies are always available.
- Do not be afraid to leave the resort during the day and evening. Lots of security. Go exploring at the other restaurants along the beach. Good options, food and entertainment available. Take a flashlight for night time.
- If going to town take the water taxi $5.00p/p. Taxi to town p/p is $10
Cons
- This resort is confusing on whether it wants to be a timeshare or an actual resort. If you buy the Sunwing package then the rooms are small and you get access to the buffet. If you want other food at 2 other restaurants then you pay for them. We paid for dinner at the resort one night and it was nothing special.
Would we return - maybe not. There are lots of options available on the island to choose from and we won't do all-inclusive. It's a nice place but we explored enough to know that if we return we have other choices.
- The Adults only side is NOT adults only. Lots of timeshare families there with young children. Nothing wrong with that except it's not a quiet area.
- If you're younger than 40 with no children then you will be bored here. Go 2 doors down to Henry Morgan Resort.
Picture that Trip Central attached is not the resort. Google map it instead.

Verified PurchaserNaboo Resort and Dive Center: Another Lovely Stay!
2nd time staying at this resort. Love this place! Clean, modern & quaint. Offers everything we need for an enjoyable holiday. Convenient location in West Bay. Not on the beach, but provides a quiet adults only oasis a few hundred feet from and near bars and restaurants. Relaxing pool and hot tub. Grounds are well kept. Always someone cleaning and painting. On-site restaurant-bar serves good simple food. Coffee needs to be served hot though...Would have enjoyed a cappuccino as well, but not available. Rooms are comfortable. Enjoyed diving with their dive shop and taking a specialty course with Elise. She is an excellent dm and instructor! We will be back! Thanks Naboo!

Verified PurchaserHenry Morgan Resort: Awesome holiday
Just finished 21 days at the Henry Morgan resort in Roatan. We stayed in the beachside rooms. This was our 8th visit to this resort and have been to Roatan 11 times. The first day was rain and the last day we had rain!! All the other days were beautiful and some days windy, but that helps with the heat and humidity.
H.M. have completed a lot of renovations and plan on doing more. A few suggestions regarding renovations are:
On the boardwalk, you have a 2x4 posts just nailed in. It should be 4x4 posts and bolted in, so when you lean on them, they don't colapased and you end up over the side. This happened to my husband. Mind you, he did have a few drinks in him.
Require cushions for the beach loungers.
When cruise ship clients come to the resort, the bar should always have 2 bartenders or a separate line for hotel guests.
Beach side snack bar should serve french fries and fried fish. They need to change up the menu. It's always the same thing.
Bbq beach party night would be a plus.
Buffet food was not too bad. When you are tired of a buffet you can always go to the other restaurants on the beach.
The entertainment crew work extremely hard. It's a very nice crew, but I think a break throughout the day would be nice. Sometimes, music is so loud that you can't even read or talk. Forget about having an afternoon nap, as my husband would say as too loud. Nightime music entertainers are loud as well. Mind you, they do put on an awesome show. So basically you are paying more for beachside rooms but they are very noisy rooms. Go figure?
We do not believe H.M. would be as great if they didn't have George. He is the hospitality mgr, and that man knows how to do his job right. He is always asking if everything is ok and has an awesome smile on his face. The most friendliest mgr their. Mind you never met any other mgrs?? George goes above and beyond to ensure everyone feels special and is happy.
As per covid protocol, hand sanitizers are everywhere, and staff serve most of the food and drinks.
Sorry so long! Hope to see you next year if you keep the price reasonable!

The resort is in need of a renovation. We went for the scuba diving which was excellent. The dive staff were friendly and helpful. The Staff at the resort are excellent. Verified PurchaserParadise Beach Hotel and Resorts: Roatan is an amazing island
The hotel is very central to everything on the beach. However, the room designation as Oceanic is misleading as it is not an Ocean view.
Also all inclusive is very limited. Breakfast is7-9:30am lunch 12-2 pm and dinner 7-9:30pm. If you want to eat at any other time you have to pay for it. Best to just do breakfast as there are fabulous restaurants all along the beach with amazing food choices. Also the bathrooms are really tiny and their is no hair dryer.
The staff at the hotel is very friendly, helpful and accommodating. The water is fantastic and the hotel can provide great floaties for an awesome day in the sea. Remember sunscreen as this is very hot sun. Enjoy 😎

Yes this hotel is a little older and they are doing some renovations. The overall stay/experience was fabulous. This was our third time there and it never disappoints. The beach is stunning with crystal clear water and fish swimming all round. Walking the beach is a daily occurrence for sure. Buffet was adequate. If you couldn’t find anything to suit your palate, that’s on you. There are neighbouring restaurants if that suits you.
Rooms are always clean. Drink are always cold and refreshing. And the sun never disappoints. Great place to relax. Definitely will be returning!!

Verified PurchaserParadise Beach Hotel and Resorts: Great location
Was asked to make a review by tripcentral, particularly on Covid 19 measures. I’m not going to comment on that. If people are still afraid of a treatable virus, they shouldn’t travel.
The resort itself is run down. The location is great. I wouldn’t recommend all inclusive. There are many restaurants close by to enjoy. The staff is friendly, the bed is ok, shower is tiny. The pool is not really useable. If you’re a pool person, you will be disappointed. Sunwing did not include the departure fee. We had to pay at the airport. Not sure if I’d stay here again. The hotel needs some love.

Verified PurchaserInfinity Bay Spa and Beach Resort: Good room, horrible food, overcrowded beach
We came to this resort only because its proximity to the reef. We booked all-inclusive package, with accommodation in premier queen studio. We were aware of the reviews about food described as not very good, but could not imagine that it could be so bad.
The description said that there is an international buffet and La Palapa Grill and Bar - a la carte for lunch and dinner. It turned out that the all-inclusive package included only international buffet, with very few dish choices, and worst ever-imaginable food. It was so bad, that I got food poisoning, which kept me with nasty diarrhea, stomach cramps, and high fever for the whole 24 hours, and inability to eat for another 2 days due to nausea and continuing stomach cramps. I never had any food poisoning in any of the all-inclusive resorts we travelled over the years. The other time time they served me a glass (one glass!) of 'red wine', which made me really sick and intoxicated. This was the only alcoholic drink which I had that day. God knows what this 'red wine' was made of!
The advertised in the package La Palapa Grill and Bar was for extra money only, although the package on the web-site described it as included in it. The bar, which was also included in the package was serving 'paying' customers first, and only then turned their attention to all-inclusive guests.
The beach in West Bay, where the hotel is located, is overcrowded, and constantly swarmed by local people trying to sell you something.
The studio we had is really nice with full kitchen and big fridge, which is useless in that location, as there is no place there where to buy groceries, unless you hire a taxi, or rent a car to drive to Coxen Hole, where supposedly there is a grocery store.
Overall, if not for the reef, the resort turned to be disappointment, both because of misrepresentation of the available services - only one restaurant instead of two, and the quality of the food.

Verified PurchaserInfinity Bay Spa and Beach Resort: Wonderful vacation
This resort was fantastic. With Covid 19, we were hesitant to vacation anywhere but we felt very safe here. The staff constantly wore masks, the buffet had servers so it was completely contactless and there was glass barriers separating the food and servers from the customers. At the bars and restaurants we noticed that if you put down a straw or napkin on the table, the servers or bartenders would use a napkin to pick it up. The rooms are "spray" sanitized completely after each stay so there is no risk of contracting anything from the previous occupant. We were pleasantly surprised with all the safety measures put in place at this resort and actually felt safer there than here in Ontario. The only downfall was the amount of local vendors on the beach, we couldn't walk down the beach without being stopped several times. Obviously they have been suffering with this pandemic as they rely mostly on tourism and the lack of travelers for the past year and a half has been devastating to them.
Roatan is beautiful, our resort disappointing. The staff were very friendly and hard working. They did the best the could with what they had.
Our beach was breathtaking so beautiful and the snorkeling at our resort was awesome. Thank goodness because the resort itself was very disappointing. It was very run down. we never had hot water the entire week we were there. Cold showers all week. Rooms and bedding extremely dated and wore out. as well as towels etc. No a la carte ( they were extra) 1 buffet and 1 snack bar very limited selection. the hours of the buffet and snack bar overlapped and nothing in between. No coffee bar.
Very limited drinks (alcohol) all served in paper small cups no fresh fruit or garnish.
The entrance to the resort boasts pillars that the lights have been knocked off or fallen off the cobblestone roadway overgrown and dirty. No security at the main entrance (building empty) once inside the main entrance your security guard lets down a chain for you to drive through ( that's the gate)It was like since the resort opened there has been no maintenance or updates. No fresh paint , old shingles on the stairs everything is deteriorating, the curtains on the buffet look as though they hadn't been washed since they were hung I am guessing over 10 years ago.
you will drive over a very suspect wooden bridge and see lot's of garbage along the way as well as a completely deteriorated tennis court.
you do not get any pop or bottled water in your mini fridge only a open picture of water not very sanitary.
The pool was so cloudy you could barely see the logo on the bottom.
The beach was amazing and very clean. It was raked daily. The re rest of the grounds had a lot of garbage and very poorly landscaped. No pretty flowers just overgrown hedges
Excursions were great and very reasonable. The resident monkeys Monique and Paco were a delight.
Definitely the potential to be a beautiful place just needs some TLC

Verified PurchaserFantasy Island: Pleasant Surprise
Most of the reviews are correct, the hotel is clean, staff are very friendly, beach is fantastic, can’t get better snorkeling right at the beach at the gazebo and out by the channel no need to pay to go out by boat, food was plentiful and good all buffet style. Choices beef, pork, chicken, pasta and fish almost everyday.
Rooms overlooking the beach are great,
The resort has friendly monkeys that come around and are playful but will steal your stuff!
The alcohol included is normal but for premium stuff you will need to pay extra, no blender drinks and seems strange entertainment still is going on and the bar closes at 10pm.
There is a little bar down at the marina open in the evenings at 2$ a beer, great hosts Chris and Lori, nice spot to have a drink before dinner and talk to the people around the world who berth their sail boats for the winter.
Would return as value for the $ and that it has 3 outstanding beach’s and plenty of lounge chairs shade or sun.

Verified PurchaserInfinity Bay Spa and Beach Resort: Amazing resort, but better management of beach area would make it even better.
The hotel itself, the grounds, the food were all fantastic. unfortunately, despite being told that they had a million dollar water purification system and that tap water was safe, both my wife and I ended up with issues. On the bus trip back to the airport, it seems that 90 percent of the people that were there had the same problem. The beach was pristine, and snorkeling was fantastic. The area available for beach chairs with shade was totally inadequate. Even going down at 5:30 A.M. to put towels and books on chairs was too late to reserve anything under an umbrella. The chairs had about a foot of space between, so not the best situation. The continuous stream of beach vendors was a real deterrent to having some peace.

Verified PurchaserMedia Luna Resort: Media Luna...lots of fun in the sun!
We really enjoyed our week at Media Luna. Good food, and lots of it. Lovely common areas (lobby, upper games room, pool, terraces and decks, beautiful dining hall). Nice beach, but a lot of sand fleas (which were easy to avoid by sitting on many partially shaded decks). Good snorkelling. Good entertainment available during the day. At night the music was very loud, booming, Caribbean dance music. Perhaps there could be a balance between that and other types of dance music (rock 'n roll, swing, country, soft rock) so more than just the (wonderful) entertainment staff would enjoy dancing more? Great staff! Great cabanas instead of rooms! Very well-kept grounds. Clean and comfortable everywhere. My brother and his wife are on their way there today, based on our recommendation. Hope they enjoy it as much as we did. Thanks for a great week!

Verified PurchaserHenry Morgan Resort: Loved our trip
This was a great place to stay and good value for money. The staff was great. We stayed in one of the standard rooms, which apparently are one of the "older" rooms, but we got to see the newer ones and honestly liked ours better. The room was great, spacious, the bed was SO comfortable, balcony was a nice touch. Food was good, buffet doesn't have too much variety but we weren't there for the food and didn't mind it at all. Bar was limited, but good, had everything you need. We went for diving and loved every minute of it, the dive shop and team were fantastic. The only negative I have is that there is no free wifi anywhere on the resort, you have to pay for it for the week, per device. Prices were somewhat reasonable considering, so we got it. I unfortunately had some work to do while away that I couldn't avoid and one meeting I had to call in for. The wifi was really not good, very poor connection most of the time. If it was free, I wouldn't really care but since we paid for it, I would've expected a much better connection. Anyways, overall, great place to stay - we are already considering when we can return. But next time I will make sure I leave my work at home and won't bother with internet unless their connection improves.

The Air Transat details for this resort was a bit misleading. We had a junior suite, which was large, but very basic for the price piont. Perhaps Honduas accomodations are more pricey than other Carribean or Mexico destinations.
Cost to take the private taxis was expensive, for what it was. Because of the location and terrain it is impossible to walk to the highway as the road grade is very steep. There is no villlage within walking distance, so two weeks is too long for this resort. br />
Food is decent. Dining space is really nice. There is only one buffet in the all- inclusive. We thought there were two. The 2nd restaurant is not part of the all-inclusive and dishes range from about $30-40 USD.
Beach is beautiful and snorkelling in the area was great! Pool area is good. Grounds are nice and pituresque. I would say the beach is a 5...pool is nice but a 4.
Service frome front desk is lacking as they look at you like they don't care. Lobby lighting at night is very poor and dim.
Bar and restaurant staff were pretty good. Animation staff were great. Hey Titiana and Brandly! And hey Kenny from the bar!
Unforunately music and activitIes are extremly repetative and limited. The DJ hardly changed his playlist fom day to night to disco. With new ownership, they are waiting for some new games and equipment.
Take American money, which we were not told. Aviod credit card use as a 15% charge is added (in addition to U.S. exchange rates) We were mislead into thinking a bit of Candian cash and credit card use was best-I don't think it was. Exchanging Canadian money is difficult and they rip you off big time and give an unfair rate. Luckily our rep exchanged some cash for us close to the bank rate.
Tours are not worth it. Rent a driver and plan out your own excusions. Better than that, rent a car if on the East end of the island. We are people that like a laid back and peaceful environment. But due to inaccessibity to walk a village or market and limited activities; this resort may not be a good choice for a vacation greater than a week.

Verified PurchaserMedia Luna Resort: Fantastic holiday!
The resort food was amazing! Only comment is the shellfish area in dining buffet should be not beside regular food. I have a shellfish allergy and I never trust if someone else has used the food tongs from one food to next.
Our room was nice and clean everyday. I asked three days for one light in bathroom to be fixed but no one fixed it.
The entertainment staff were the best! Hats off to Branley, Ttania and the rest of animation crew!
Definitely would come back.

Verified PurchaserMedia Luna Resort: A dream come true
Within minutes of our arrival, I knew I would love this place!
The photos I saw before coming were not touched up: the jungle really is that dark green, the buildings really are clean and in good condition.
We were delighted with our lodgings: little air-conditioned cabanas with a balcony, a huge bathroom and a nice room. There were also overhead fans if you don’t like the A/C. The beds and pillows were a little hard but it didn’t spoil the experience. The daily house keeping kept the rooms very clean, they even folded our clothes!
As in many other resorts, we can’t drink the bathroom water. It is salty as is the shower water. But the resort supplied drinkable water in several spots. The shower always had hot water, throughout the day.
The gardens were well maintained and riddled with small wildlife and beautiful flowering shrubs. That enchanted me!
The food was delicious. They had a huge variety of things to eat, including a table of more typical regional foods, three times a day. The bar provided a good selection of drinks.
The staff were smiling and always eager to help. The animators for our daily entertainment were also very pleasant. They were present without being overbearing. They offered all sorts of activities, from yoga to Zumba, with card or board games for the children to informed conversation for the adults. They were also all accomplished dancers and provided the after-supper entertainment in colourful costumes and well practiced shows.
There was a dive shop and a small store, as well as a small winery and a pool (snooker) room. The pools were clean and in perfect condition: no peeling or faded paint, no mould anywhere as I have seen in other resorts.
The beach was smaller than in some places we’ve been, but clean and the watercraft were in good condition.
They fumigated against mosquitoes twice a day and that was a little noisy and smelly, but didn’t last long. There were also armed security patrolling the large grounds.
This is the perfect resort for R&R, as it is rather secluded and this is exactly what we were looking for.

Verified PurchaserParadise Beach Hotel and Resorts: Quaint Resort
Smaller resort which needs some updating. No ocean view rooms. Did not get the king bed room on upper floor as booked. Plumbing (shower/hot water) inconsistent. Needed to ask for towels and hair dryer. Pillows were hard as a rock. Most of the staff were wonderful and tried to be helpful. All inclusive was timed for buffet and only 1 restaurant. Doing breakfast only is a better option as lots of places to eat for dinner. Location is great for beach and snorkelling. Location is well situated for snorkelling and access to both diving and dining sites.

Friendly staff at hotel makes an effort to welcome you at every meal - and some even remember your name! Just make sure you remember theirs too! Healthy food choices, special pasta station every day for the not so healthy choices. Staff quick to fix every problem. Wine and drinks are served at the meals - or you can get it yourself. The rooms had no hot water, the water we received was salt water ,the septic system was totally unacceptable. It did not not say on any write up that you had to pay if you went to the A'la cart restaurant. The food was par service was very good .The Wi -Fi was only in the lobby and was very inconsistent at the best of times. The beach & activities were good.It rained for the first 2 days but after that it was beautiful the rest of the trip.I would rate this resort as a 3.5 star resort at best.

Verified PurchaserInfinity Bay Spa and Beach Resort: Great Vacation at Infinity Bay
Huge room overlooking the beach. Full kitchen, living room, bar, dining area, 2 bathrooms, 2 balconies - very clean. All staff were excellent. Not several hotel restaurants just the main buffet and beach restaurant, but good food quality and large portions at the beach alacarte. Excellent for diving and snorkelling in front of the resort or charters from the dock. More restaurants on the beach and surrounding area - prices reasonable and food good. Water taxi was only $3 into West End village. Some vendors on the beach but polite and did not harass. Beach is much busier when cruise ship people come from about 10am to 3pm. Great pool and very clean. Special mention goes to Juanito at the beach bar and our friend Rachel with Yoga in the pool!
We would return.

We stayed at the Infinity Bay Beach Resort.
The resort is beautiful and the people and staff fabulous. The food was good for the most part and rooms clean and spacious. Our Sunwing flight was early and uneventful just perfect. Do not go on the Sunwing suggested “swimming with mini pigs tourâ€. It was horrible. The pigs were terrified and forced to get into the water and swim for their lives. Just awful. Verified PurchaserFantasy Island: Fantasy Islnd
Fantasy island resort and dive center was ok. If you are going there to dive or snorkel you will not be disappointed. We saw so much marine life right off the beach Absolutely amazing
The beaches were great also and since you are on a private island...very private. We loved it.
The rooms were acceptable and kept very clean
The buffet was ample but nothing fancy but we certainly didn't go hungry. The cheeseburgers at the Palapa were pretty good.
The bar was ok. Very little choice and even a simple upgrade to dark rum cost. No blender drinks or mojitos or anything like that but ok. Two drink minimum so if playing cards with four people more then one person would have to go up to order. Not a big deal... just strange.
The white faced monkeys running around the resort were friendly and very entertaining
Overall this is a great little intimate resort. It is a bit tired but would not take much to make this place a booming five star. We really enjoyed it.

Verified PurchaserMedia Luna Resort: Great resort!!
This resort is known as a divers paradise. There was many great things about it!! The main thing is it isn't like a 5 star mexican resort!!. You arent going to get drinks served to u on the beach or pool If u understand that u will love it. It is a small resort so u always had a chair at pool or beach. The food was very good. There isnt an Al a carte
I found the staff very friendly, and willing to help any way they could!! The cabanas are like your own little cottage nothing fancy but clean. You have your own deck and a big king bed. The scenery is beautiful the beach is small but beautiful warm water. Perfect for snorkeling. The only thing that put a damper on things was the bugs. Sand flies were bad!!! They fumigated but still bad. Some people were bitten bad others not much!! Bring bug lotion. This resort wouldn't be good for any one with mobility issues. A lot of stairs and stone walkways. There was children there but nothing specific for kids.My fiance and myself really enjoyed ourselves.!!! PS definitely pay the little extra for cabana. The other rooms are like small dormitories.

Verified PurchaserMayan Princess Beach Resort: Beautiful but would not return. Not worth the price.
We stayed at the Mayan Princess Resort in Roatan for 14 days. It is a beautiful resort, beautiful rooms. most staff is nice but some shouldn't work with public honestly. They have some things they need to work on seriously.
Please know that they request a credit card at the front desk, take a carbon copy of it and actually make you sign it before you get your room or you can't stay... all inclusive? I've never seen an all inclusive resort ask for credit card at check in... Good thing my boyfriend had a card, I didn't.
Also, please know that there is a departure tax (USD) in Honduras which fluctuates daily. We paid $97 USD for 2 people. they do take credit card for that though.
Be advised that they do cater to the cruise ships first. They invaded our resort one day, no room at the beach or at the pool. They were everywhere and we didn't exist during that time. They even have their own drink menu (better than ours). They have everything included, not us. They are currently building another cruise port... it will get worse.
We flew in with sunwing and was not aware that there is a bar menu only for sunwing guests. The other drinks are not included. I asked for a banana mama and was told no because banana liqueur is not included for sunwing guests. One day they use Tanqueray and the next day they refuse to. They have beer there but Heineken is not included which was expected but first week they were selling it for $3 each, this week was $4 each and one day was $2. I asked the manager and he didn't know so he gave me 2 for free (probably to keep me quiet). How can beer go from one price to another one day, week to the next? The money they get from that beer goes into a jar, not the cash register... get it?
The drinks were very basic: mojito, gin tonic, rum coke.
Sunwing only had access to 1 a la carte restaurant, everyone else had 3 choices.
The food was amazing the first week but not so much second week, I mean who wants to eat quesadillas, nachos, corn tortillas, wieners, peppers and onions in the morning? We ended up eating (and paying) at other resorts on the beach. Christmas dinner was a joke. Turkey and pork, nothing else other than the corn tortillas and nachos... not even any cranberries...it was disappointing.
The peddlers... omg the peddlers... non stop all day... constant... I'm serious its non stop. Very annoying, unable to relax at all. They are in your face ALL the time all day.
There is nothing to do on this resort. If you are planning just go and relax that's perfect ( that's what we wanted) but if you're expecting to have some entertainment on the resort, there isn't any. If you want entertainment and fun at night, bring some money because you'll probably end up at Bananarama.
The beach is beautiful, the reef is amazing. The grounds are beautiful. The pool is way too cold, almost ice cold which made no sense cause it was extremely hot.
I probably would not return, not worth the price.

Rooms were decent and clean. Patio door very difficult to open, toilet was not flat to floor, would rock back and forth. Door key card very finicky, would erase if in proximity of any electronic device, mobile,iPad,etc.
One choice of beer for all inclusive, any other you paid for. Cheap alcohol used for mixed drinks, lacked good taste.
Food was decent, lots of saucy selections . Was not too keen on spaghetti and fish or shrimp . No yogurt.
Service very good but had to steal utensils from other tables.
Would warn friends about short comings of resort. It is updating ,but shows its age. No consistent hot water for shower.
Diving was very well organized. Only thing missing was marine life!

The resort was beautiful, dated and in need of some TLC but comfortable. Some things like coffee maker in rooms and mini bar would rise the comfort level a little higher. Verified PurchaserMedia Luna Resort: Great Diving Resort
Resort is a quiet, out of the way gem geared towards divers and their needs. Small and easy to navigate, It has everything you need for a great vacation. Grounds are well kept, cabanas are clean and comfortable. Staff were all very helpful and friendly. Entertainment staff was very social and high energy. The restaurant area is spacious and open....food was good but keeping it hot was an issue. Drinks are good and plentiful.
The dive shop has a large open locker for your gear to hang and dry between dives and the boat is right there onsite, leaving from their dock with professional staff helping and leading on all dives. This area can really use updating tho...the gear is old and not maintained well and the dock is needing repair.
Only issues we had were lack of hot water (ours kept shutting off) and little tiny bugs who considered some of us a feast.
We definitely want to go back!

Verified PurchaserMedia Luna Resort: Great coice for divers!
The dive package was great value and dive sites were excellent. Friendly staff. BCD and reg was not included, though the listing had stated all gear included. We had our own gear so this was not a problem. The opportunity to take additional shore dives was great. All cabanas had a patio where you could dry your dive gear or relax in a hammock.
The hotel was nice and located just next to the dive shop. Food was actually very tasty, but could have had a bit more variety, and the restaurant should be screened in to prevent flies. Nice, quiet location. Beautiful beach. Planned power outs twice a day, and some unplanned power outs, plus occasional lack of hot shower water were bit inconvenient. Front desk was always fast to fix the hot water issue though. Unlimited Wifi access at the lounge and restaurant. Cabanas were nicely designed.
Not near any village, so to get out one would need to book an excursion. Bring your own hair conditioner, toothbrush and toothpaste.
We would warmly recommend this package especially for divers and people who enjoy quiet sunny holidays.

Verified PurchaserHenry Morgan Resort: Beautiful Reef
If you snorkel or dive you will love the reef. Get a ride out its wonderful. Oscar, one of the local boat trip organizers treated us great on 3 separate boat rides. One for half a day with plenty of booze and conch salsa for a very very reasonable price. There are some merchants on the beach but they are not at all pushy and many have wares you may want to purchase. The rooms are 3 star for sure but quiet and extremely clean. The beer choice is limited to strohs. If you want to see live music simply walk down the beach. The buffet is not great and 3 out of our group of 8 had problems that required a walk to the pharmacy for some poo pills. Every staff member was friendly and helpful. They fog to keep mosquitoes down once or twice a day. I sucks but only lasts a few minutes and is better than the alternative.

Can't wait to go back. This resort is beautiful, perfect size, feels very intimate when you are at the pool, and beach is absolutely amazing. Pool view tower room was a huge, fully equipped condo.(did not expect that) The room and grounds were very clean, staff work hard and were so friendly, loved everyone I met. The food was fantastic, not a huge buffet,of 1000 items that you couldn't possibly try everything. The buffet is simple and has something for everyone, tastes super fresh and homemade. Theme dinners were great. Probably the best quality and tasting food I have had at any all inclusive in the Caribbean. The a la cart restaurant, was very, very good. Great snorkelling right off the beach in front of the Grand Roatan resort. We saw turtles, cuddle fish, barracuda, rays, and tons of different species of colourful fish.

Verified PurchaserHenry Morgan Resort: AMAZING PEOPLE!!!!
The Henry Morgan Beach Resort is beautifully located in the heart of activities. This resort is rustic and has been here for many years...therefore, a dated. There is a charm about the rooms though. There is only one "a la carte" evening. The resort needs to do as other resorts have done and gone International night with different meals at night each night. By the end of the week the buffet had been pretty repetitive. A very clean resort and the people are genuine and friendly and speak English. Love that our flight was direct Montreal to Roatan. The coral reef is AMAZING!!!! We had all brought our snorkeling gear and enjoyed the reef each day. Excursions can be had for a nominal fee. A short water taxi ride to town and you're shopping and dining at great eateries.

Verified PurchaserHenry Morgan Resort: fantastic beach
Beach was awesome maybe the best I've been to. snorkeling and diving was very good.lots of chairs with lots of shade. staff were great. We had the economy rooms so they were cottage style with a balcony and hammocks which were used every night, not fancy but what we like because it was quiet. Food was buffet style and satisfactory.
Cons are that the water in the room is smelly and not drinkable. lighting in the rooms was minimal. power goes out at 12am and 6am for a few minutes every day which resets the A/C and electronics which woke me up.
We Like the grounds, the garden keeps nicely, public areas made comfortable, rooms good size, staff try to keep room clean, but the water pressure poor, some times will make you in stress. Dinning rooms, we like to have our meal on the terrace , it's nice view from here , the meal was fresh but limited of juices.
Our recommendation: improve water pressure, add more the drink staff choices in rooms and out of rooms.
We had a great time during our week stay. The grounds are beautifully kept , the food was great , the staff were all amazing , and the beach was perfect !

Verified PurchaserFantasy Island: Fantasy Island
The resort is truly a place of spectacular beauty. The beach is wonderful. The staff is numerous and friendly. They keep the resort clean. Rooms were made up every day and the room are very comfortable. The diving and snorkelling right off the gazebo is amazing.
Where the resort falls down is in the other services. The drinks were very poor made with watered down liquor and cheap bottled (Ocean Spray) juices that tasted of bland North American processed food. The bar ran out of beer several times while we were there. The entertainment was amateurish and deafening. The staff tried really hard to make it a fun experience, but it was something to stay far away from. I found the constant noise in the resort grating after awhile with large speakers playing loud Latin music constantly. The food was varied and well presented, but it and the coffee were almost always cool to cold despite heating plates everywhere.
Fantasy island is what it is: a middle of the road dive resort, but it could be so much more with just a little bit of improvement. At the price range it sits in, it does quite well, so it is comfort on a budget.

Verified PurchaserMedia Luna Resort: small but cozy
We arrived at the Media Luna on March 14th and were greeted with cocktails when we got off the bus. Check-in was easy then we were off to our bungalow 179. The room was very nice, clean and we each had our own closets to put our stuff away. The bathroom was a nice size with two sinks, the only issue was the shower as it only had 3 holes on the shower head so the pressure wasn't there. (definitely needs updating). The resort has only one restaurant which is large to accommodate everyone. The food was excellent! The staff were nice. There were 3 pools, two of them were attached beside the restaurant the other was more private on its own. The beach is small and if you want to go into the ocean you will need water shoes as its very rocky. Overall this resort was nice.

Verified PurchaserMedia Luna Resort: Media Luna, Roatan, Honduras
Hello,
We stayed at the Media Luna in March 2019. Very nice grounds, very well maintained. The resort is user friendly. WiFi in reception and dining room only. There are 2 sorts of sleeping accommodations, either in the cabanas, or in a row like motel building. We didn't splurge for the cabana as we wanted to go to on a couple of excursions, so we opted for the motel room. We had to change room mid week as the smell of sewage from the shower drain was unbearable (even though we had the fan on all the time), and sadly the 2nd room had the same problem.
Daily activities such as Zumba, Yoga, Volleyball, Dance lessons, were offered.
The drinks are mediocre, beer was good.
The buffet style dinner is redundant as there are always the same things: watery fish, chicken, beans, many veggies great for salads, pasta was good with sauces made in front of you. Having a sweet tooth I was disappointed with dessert, but thats ok no need to add the extra pounds.
Very small beach in front of the resort (but we were ok with that as we went to Henry Morgan), great snorkeling!! We took the kayaks out for a spin and that was great!!
Keep in mind that the resort is 1 hour away from West Bay and West End, you need to book an excursion to go there or take a taxi. We knew that Media Luna was secluded and were happy with that.
We spent 2 days at the Henry Morgan resort in West Bay so we could stroll the wonderful beach. The water was all kinds of different shades of blue. Breathtaking!!!
We got to take a taxi through the island and visited here and there. Gas is very expensive and Roatan is a very poor island.
Weather was great all throughout our stay!!!

Many thanks to all of the staff who welcomed us with smiles & excellent service. Our beachfront second floor room was maintained daily with plenty of bottled water & soft clean towels. The food service was excellent & we found the food to be even better than two years ago. The snorkeling at West Bay beach was superb. The all inclusive Sunwing package was perfect for our two week stay. Hotel transfers went smoothly & the plane ride was excellent. Thank you to our Tripcentral rep, Victoria Guest, for answering any questions we had in a timely manner. We will be returning again for sure!
Walk out of the lobby directly on to the sandy beaches of Roatan! Beautiful views with numerous lounge chairs by the pool and ocean! No fighting for a spot to sit! Amazing snorkeling at the bunglaow with rentals available near by. Only downfall to this resort was food, not many choices during meals however few repeats for dinner which offered different choice each night. The restaurant was up a set up stairs which would not be benificial to those with mobility problems. Some rooms were a little far from the main lobby, about a 5 minute walk however not an issue for us but could be for others. Rooms in the newer development are very basic with no phone or outlet in the bathroom but also how much time are you going to spend in your room after seeing this beach?! Limited drink options and times as the bar was only open from 10 to 10, and only one on site. Service was mediocre when it came to meals, no enthusiasm from the staff as experienced in other resorts. Many options for tours of the island which were worth doing! The beach is something to see, options to sit on the main beach or even another just adjacent but a different world! Would recommend to those who love to snorkel or dive!

Great beach with clear water and plenty of fish to swim with, lots of food choices at the buffet, friendly staff, clean rooms with hammocks to relax on, would prefer wall shower head over the one coming from the ceiling, Overall, great place to stay!

Verified PurchaserFantasy Island: Beautiful for diving and snorkelling
This resort is set in a beautiful jungle surrounded by crystal clear ocean, which is pretty deep right from the shore. It is a DIVING resort and MARINA. I wouldn't bring kids unless they enjoy nature and diving. Also not for party people, bars close at 10pm. Great food, great service, great diving centre.

Verified PurchaserInfinity Bay Spa and Beach Resort: great spot
Just returned from a week here and will certainly consider returning, from start to finish the staff at sun wing and the hotel were great. It is a small resort so not a lot of nightlife, fine with us as that's not a priority for us when travelling. The food was great and the staff was fantastic in helping and understanding my wife's wheat allergy. All the staff at the resort, Harris,Esmerelda,Maria, and others who's names I have lost really make this place as great as it is. It also helps that the beach is beautiful and the snorkelling right out from the hotel is amazing. We were without hot water one day but called the front desk and it was rectified right away. There are quite a lot of vendors on the beach but that isn't really the hotels fault. If your looking for something different than the huge impersonal resorts with all the lineups and crowds give this place a try.

Verified PurchaserMedia Luna Resort: Tropical Seclusion
This resort is very casual. You don't have to dress up for dinner, you can, but is'nt necesary. The cabanas resemble small cottages, very private, with deck or porch with railings all round. The grounds are well maintained, walkways require flat sandles or shoes, no heels. This resort is not really wheelchair, walker, stroller etc. accessible . Lots of hills or staris/steps. The dining room is beautiful. The buffet is repetative and limited. Bar and drinks are what they should be, however, no blender. Pools are waist deep only if that. Lounge chairs are plentiful. The beach is not really a beach for chairs, kids, or walking, it is access to the ocean but lots of places to get sun elsewhere. Staff is good, polite, helpful and not in a hurry. May be overpriced??? Go on excursions to see more of the island.

Verified PurchaserMedia Luna Resort: Nice Relaxing Quiet Resort
Enjoyed our stay at the Media Luna Resort, small but a very relaxing atmosphere. The beach is small but there is nice decks close to the beach and easy access. There was never a problem getting a lounge chair and the staff were right there with the cushions. The snorkelling is excellent and the people diving said it was great as well. It is not completely all inclusive you have to pay for the pop, beer and coffee in your room. The staff were very helpful and the entertainment staff were lots of fun, making different drinks every day and bringing them around for the guests to try. The food was good but tended to be cool they need to have better warmers, the Sunday seafood dinner was awesome. The lobby staff were all very helpful with anything we asked or needed.

Verified PurchaserHenry Morgan Resort: Best diving and snorkelling
Amazing snorkelling right from the beach or with the dive shop. Nice boardwalk runs through basic 2 story buildings. Our room was clean and freshly painted. Loved the canopy beds in the original section. Food is fine, but a little repetitive. Fresh fruit is available at every meal.

Verified PurchaserFantasy Island: Great value and location resort
First impressions didn't bode well but the beach, snorkeling, food and staff of the resort led to a wonderful vacation experience. The entrance to the resort needs some major sprucing up along with trim work and painting of some buildings. The buffets had quality but limited food choices and coffee could have been better but we all ate tasty meals through the week. Rooms were basic but most all faced the water and beds were comfortable even if the sheets barely fit the king sized bed. Staff we always helpful and courteous and rooms were always cleaned well each day. We were in a section where there were roosters and hens running wild in the area. Could have done without the crowing of the roosters in the early morning. A little swim across a channel from the resort provided some of the most spectacular snorkeling over reefs I've experienced. Definitely the resort to go to for that.

Verified PurchaserMayan Princess Beach Resort: Very disappointed.
Having visited Roatan and several hotels in this area in years past, I was very disappointed. It appears that Mayan Princess has allowed the property between Mayan and La Serenas to be purchased for the cruise ships' use, thereby flooding the beach with "cruise-shippers". This brings its own set of problems. The cruise ship passengers are given priority service at the bars and restaurants, and they attract many annoying beach sellers calling out non-stop harassment of "massage", "bracelets", mahogany"... Security was supposed to be on site to discourage this behaviour, but "security" at this resort was absent.
This strip of beach was once known for its fabulous coral, but it seems many from the cruise ships do not understand or care about leaving the coral un-touched.
Navigating the buffet was difficult, most especially for those who have food allergies. No labels were placed to identify dishes and ingredients, and staff did not understand the concept of "cross-contamination" with utensils and pans being used for individual food prep.
Travelling with a large group of 14, despite asking for tables to be pushed together to allow us all to eat together, this request was denied with the excuse that "we have a lot of people here today".
Bar staff were rude and ignored some of us -old and young, leaving us to stand at the bar while they served others who arrived at the bar after us. (read cruise ship people)
My room (In La Serenas) was very badly appointed. The "bathroom sink" was placed on a high counter, also serving as the "kitchen area". The fridge was placed at the end of this counter with the door opening the wrong way, and from the back wall, necessitating us to remove all contents off the counter to be able to open it. There was no where to hang wet bathing suits or towels. There was no surface on which to place anything; the single dresser was topped with a large screen TV which also blocked the mirror, and there was 1 upholstered chair. Being on the ground floor, there was a small alcove with cement walls - no seating area or chairs. My husband gashed his shin 3 times trying to walk between the bed and the door to the bathroom. Phone to the front desk did not work, Wi-Fi was VERY spotty. I must say though that the room was quite clean.
Sadly, I will not return.

Verified PurchaserHenry Morgan Resort: Average resort good food 😎
Ok place but beach way too crowded. Good food but needing more variety of entertainment. Rooms need updating but overall a good place
Beach was packed with rows and rows of chairs like people sitting in a movie theatre.. but very beautiful place ✅
