Overall the resort was ok. However the beach side bar close too early. The resort needs a third bar to cut down on wait times. This was my first all inclusive that didn’t serve snacks throughout the day. Breakfast was good but supper was a bit repetitive. That’s why my wife and I ate off resort. The evening entertainment came on late and wasn’t high quality. The location is good and easy to get to main attractions by cab. The only place on resort that is air conditioned is your room.

Would not go back Again, conditions were very poor had no air for 5 days.\n Moved me to a room for 2 nights with air, which the neighbors were loud smoking up and fighting all night long. So not a good experience at this hotel, I would like to speak to someone about the situation.

resort is nice, room is clean and almost rooms are oceanview , stuff are always friendly, beach is perfect, food amazing !!! will definitely return again on my next trip to Bahamas. transportation from the airport is convenient and fast .

I had a fun trip- some ups and downs but overall net positive! there were lots of activity’s and beautiful beaches (and amazing shells!). There were kid activities and fun games for adults too. I liked the silly performances and the singer was really good. The staff were really nice and seemed to genuinely enjoy their jobs (they worked really hard to make it special for everyone and they really made the trip worth it- for ex. They would always high-five my nephew and other kids and were always sweet to me, and I saw them sit for a meal with a boy with special needs who was ecstatic to spend a meal with them! As with any vacation don’t bother with the timeshare presentation, waste of time for a few free gifts (I didn’t listen to my own advice haha) I did find there were a lot of silly little rules that got to me on day 3/7- like: No swimsuits in the dinning hall (understandable but slightly annoying when you’ve been swimming all day), blocked off areas for timeshare members; having to book every activity (including dinner reservations) at the main desk before 2ish or you can’t go; The stores closing at 5ish even if the sun is still out till 8 (again understandable but you start to lose track of time relaxing on a vacation and then the stores are closed when I’d actually like to spend my money); the pool closing at 8 (fair as there’s no lifeguard at night, but you’d think they might consider getting a night time person). Again I understand the rules but they started to get annoying. The food was actually good! I liked the buffet for most meals, and the restaurants were fun (especially as they were free! In terms of allergies I wish they would have signs posted for certain common allergies like nuts and sesame as the dining hall had sauces like Nutella without listings of nuts and the burger buns all had sesame (I worry for kids with allergies like my family). The restaurant was really nice (I even got a free cake for my bday! They did however forget my partners allergy even though we mentioned it so if we hadn’t seen pesto ourselves he could have been sick, which I wasn’t a fan of, so just make sure to be really, really clear about allergies). Alcohol: The mixed drinks were tasty and the bar tenders really knew their stuff! They had at least 40 drinks offered and they knew all of them! the liquor was okay- other than the wine, it was strong but tasted like crap. Great trip overall, def worth it for a not too pricey trip and very family friendly!

The hotel was lovely , the rooms were clean , found the beds comfortable the air was cold and the water hot , no complaints at all . The resort was well taken care off , most staff was amazing , Tiffani from the company was great and the tour guides was so knowledgeable. The beach was beautiful the water incredible , you do not have water in your fridge but there are water stations to refill bottles plus a store to get water , the buffet was ok , managed to eat 3 times a day the à la cartes the food was great . Absolutely no complaints at all , I heard some people complaining but honestly I didn’t know what about lol We would definitely return and have recommended already Sue snider was spot on with her recommendation

The experience matched the photos I seen online. Very relaxing beach, great ambience. Picture perfect scenery. I would definitely recommend this place to family and friends. Even though I went during "spring break" it didn't really take away from my relaxing experience. I just wished I was informed before hand. Overall I give it a 8.5/10.

Resort was ok, food was just ok, was not impressed with being invaded by over 300 students who basicaly took over the resort. I would not have paid the money I paid to go there, also found out other people didnt pay what we paid which also upset me. I feel a rebate to us should be made. The resort advised they do this ever year for 3 weeks, we advised they should let people know so they can decide if they want to go there or not. We were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary and it was very stressful. We had to listen to loud music and kids running around most of the night playing nicky nicky nine doors on your door.

The hotel although a bit dated was clean and comfortable. Shower worked air worked. Some minor things could use some TLC but who cares. Forever cleaning resort. Bar was quick although could get a bit slower after the large group of younger people arrived. Food was plentiful and lots of variety. A La Cartes were all good hot and quick. Cannot speak for pool as the biggest negative was all the chairs were gone super early however the beach is large and has plenty of loungers. Ocean very rocky to get into wear water shoes. After getting past rocks beautiful! I will look at the availability everytime as we had a great time!

Dated rooms but nice resort overall. Food, service was great. Clean & Tidy Beach not accessible due to rocks. Would have been nice to have had a heads up on the 260 Florida Grad Students arriving!!! Pool disgusting vomit & hair & sunscreen floating. Felt bad for older guests & people with young children as lack of chairs & poolspace. Will return tho another time

The resort itself has been there for quite some time and has great charm to it. Not too big! Our rooms were facing the ocean with lovely balcony. Lots of places to sit but there is quite a bit of sunny areas. The pool is large and situated beside the ocean. No complaints about the food. Lots of variety and quite tasty! The ocean is pretty rocky to get into so definately need water shoes. All in all we had a great time.

Beautiful location - 2 hrs from Toronto . The ocean water nice warm and blue. BRING YOUR WATER SHOES . Nice long beach to walk and safe. Food Ok. Stuff helpful! Rooms need update ASAP!- that was the big downside of this trip. Cuba 4 stars better than this one . Also lots of cockroaches ! I will go back if they fully renovate the rooms/ beds/ sheets/ pillows . The whole!

Beach was stunning. Rooms and grounds very clean. Staff and Entertainment was excellent. Sunwing guides were excellent. Specifically Andrea. The bar staff was excellent. Always friendly and engaging.

The hotel was clean and staff was very friendly. I would definitely return, maybe when the weather is a bit warmer. Pools are not heated :-(. It was a bit chilly this time of year. The beach was beautiful

The rooms appeared clean, but were just patchwork fixes everywhere, the toilet was not fully attached to the floor. The food was ok, not great, and was repurposed from the previous meal/day and was not refilled timely, so once filled it is a fight to get some before it’s gone. There was no table service for coffee or drinks while eating, or at the pool, so you have to go get drinks yourself. While the staff are friendly, they are not eager to serve. À la cartes were good but small so it was hard to get a seating. There was pizza at night that was good but if not for one of the entertainment staff (Theo, who was awesome) we never would have known. The beach was nice and clean, but beach towels were not always available and ran out mid morning. The pool was not cleaned daily so by the end of the week it was dirty with leaves, dirt and hair. The nightly shows were good and the entertainers were fun and friendly.

This was a great experience! Our first time in the Bahamas and would recommend to everyone! Staff friendly, grounds maintained beautifully, rooms nice, food great, beach extraordinary! We will definitely be returning!

Unfortunately, viva Wyndham Fortuna was just good. This is a very aged hotel. We requested and paid for the Superior Oceanview Room and could barely see the Ocean. Rm 1171 was at the furthest end. This was a very old room and was only cleaned once. We requested to be moved and we were denied. Others were upgraded or changed more than once. The food was good, coffee terrible and booze was the worst I have ever had. The 3 a la cart dinners are not easy to reserve and not always available . Buffet is fully self service including drinks. The beach is beautiful and they have plenty lounge chairs. That's the only good thing about this resort. 100% in need of a major reno.

Below par resort. 1.5 hours to check in (@ 9:30 pm), no Towel cards available. 3 al a carts but could only book 2, very disappointing!! Nothing offered ever in Mini fridge. Only 2 towels in room despite our booking has 3 people. Sports bar is non existent! Empty room with Nothing to do. Daily fight to get beach towels we were told they don't have any clean. Buffet was very very repetitive and only had a small amount of bacon once during our 7 night stay.

This resort was more than I expected it to be! The staff are very warm, friendly and very helpful. The beach is gorgeous, I have never been to a resort before where everyone was so friendly. The bathroom needs a bit of renovations. There is always something to do for every age. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone.

Very disappointed. Would have been worse had we paid full price, but there was a promotion with Sunwing. This resort is barely a step up from Cuba. Buffets were basic and repetitive. Rooms are dated and in need of repairs. Staff does bare minimum. Our room wasn't cleaned the last 3 days. Drinks were good but they ran out beer several times. We won't return to this resort or Freeport.

Period of Stay: Sept. 6-13, 2025 The hotel is modest in size which will suit anyone looking for a calmer environment. However, the promotional photos don’t correspond with the actual state of the facilities. We changed rooms the 2nd day. Our 1st night the room the air conditioning did not work and no hot water. Guest service staff were accommodating in finding a new room. The rooms with respect to maintenance and cleanliness are dated with stained sheets, moldy comforters, loud air conditioners running constantly leaving the floors wet, room musty smelling and mirror and patio doors fogged. The door to the bathroom had seen water in its time showing wet stains and warped, (possibly remnants of Hurricane Dorian in 2019) and the bottom hardware rusty. A new door or fresh coat of paint would have alleviated this. Cleaning staff need to be educated to wipe down surfaces and not just sweep floors, make bed with existing laundry and leave towels. Bare minimum for cleaning. Food overall was basic at buffets, elevated at ala crates were good. Alcohol beverages considered ordinary, as well as service. International brands were for VIP members of Wyndham. Fortuna Beach is the main asset of this resort. White sand, clear blue water set in a natural environment. Off site, Banana Bay a short walk from Fortuna Beach, has picture perfect clear blue water (no sea grass) and on site beach bar and restaurant. One large pool at resort with small kids pool adjacent. Regular pool activities throughout the week with Fridays being their foam party day. Their wow activity (included for guests) is the Flying trapeze although very few guests tried it out during our stay. Activity staff do their best to make it fun for guests. Despite the beautiful natural setting, this resort doesn’t live up to the standards of a Wyndham. A complete refresh of rooms and other areas would be beneficial to bring up the star rating to a 3.5* as it states now. The grounds were somewhat clean, grass long in areas and landscaped flowering bushes flowering were pretty. However, it is important to note the price was favourable for budget conscious travellers and families. The people of Bahamas are wonderful, the beach was gorgeous but I would not return to this resort myself.

Although we had a wonderful vacation, the hotel was a complete let down. For a Wyndham resort, we expected better. Here is the low down: Check in was fairly quick but there was confusion. On the bus, we were told to go get something to eat and then come back to check in after our luggage arrived (it was loaded on to a luggage bus whereas the people were in a people bus). First time I’ve been separated from my luggage during transit from the airport to the hotel. But when we tried to go to eat, we were told to check in first – ok whatever. Our room was clean and housekeeping did the there very basic – made the beds (don’t think the sheets were every changed), swept the floor and cleaned the bathroom. Nothing extra. There was a towel rack over the toilet – no problem except that is the only place in the entire room to hang anything. There wasn’t even a hook on the back of the bathroom door. So, there is no place to hang wet towels or bathing suites. There was three hangers in the closet but they were used for clothing. Lighting in the room – there is a light above the entrance, and a single wall sconce in the room. The light in bathroom was good. However, there were no lamps in the room except tiny half inch round book lamps for each bed. The light on the hairdryer provided more lighting than those. You could not read by them as they were not close enough to the bed to light up the pages. Even though the water in the room is not drinkable, the resort provides ONE 500 ml bottle of water. Yes, it does say one bottle of water in the list of inclusions, but I expected at least a gallon to last us the week. If you want more you have to go to the gift shop and buy more. Food and food service – The food is boring and repetitive and could definitely use more heat. The pasta was constantly under cooked. The only service you will receive is the removal of your plates. They do not offer beverages – no coffee (I don’t drink coffee but that’s not the point), they do not offer to bring water to the table, or any other drinks. They only clear your plate and reset the table for the next person. Entertainment? Is there any? I can’t say for sure. The animation team often did their little dance at the pool but there was nowhere to see what activities were happening when. I don’t even know if there is a evening show every night. We did see that there was going to be a Lion King production but that’s because we happen to walk past the theatre and saw the advertisement on the screen. It’s the only bulletin we saw all week. The only interaction we had with the animation team was our last day and one actually said ‘hi’. They don’t come around to invite you to play games – if there were any?? If you are looking to get you hair braided, do not use the woman just west of the pool. Go to the little shack at the east end of the beach. There is no late check out – period. We had a six hour wait between check out and our bus to the airport. They do offer a courtesy room – if you can get in and you have to almost beg for towels. This resort has absolutely no place to go, besides your room, for respite from the heat/humidity/rain. There is no effort to entertain during the rain (we experienced this in Jamaica – the animation team made sure people were entertained when it rained there). As far as we could see there was no game room or library. We knew we were going during rainy season but still. On the good side… because of the season there was plenty of chairs on the beach. Also, a lot of palm trees to provide shade if wanted. The beach was always cleaned – groomed daily and someone walked around to pick up people’s cups (why people can’t return their cups is beyond me). Dawn at the front desk was very nice to chat with and I can not say enough about Tiffany from Nexus Tours. She was so helpful and friendly. She is very knowledgeable about the resort and the tours. She educated us on the tours available and then allowed us to purchase what we wanted when it suited us. Alissa from Nexus Tours also deserves a shout out. Even with a slight language barrier she did her best to help. Overall, yes, we had a good vacation – sitting on the beach, reading our books, and enjoying the ocean. But for a Wyngham, we expected better service, better attention to detail and more friendly people. (Nexus staff are not part of the hotel so they don’t count here). We will be hard pressed to return to this resort. We have kept this review strictly on the resort – don’t get me started on sunwing/westjet, that’s another issue for another review.

Needs more shower by the pool and by the Ocean for rinsing. Me and my friends enjoyed the entertainment. They worked hard to make the guests happy.Germaine is the best. We had a hard time booking the ala carte.

Great staff, and amenities, but the rooms were so dirty and I found myself constantly killing big roaches, small roaches, caterpillar and all kinds of bugs in my room. Also the pillow cases smelled and had black mold spots on one side. Also the buffet was very self serve, I came with a baby and I was expecting someone to offer to bring a highchair or drinks, but its not that kind of place.

This property has become our new go to favourite. It’s a small resort where everything is no more than a five minute walk. The beach is gorgeous, food is great and the rooms are cozy. Two visits in 3 months says it all!

Our recent stay at Viva Wyndham Fortuna Beach was a mix of highs and a few areas for improvement, but overall, it was a great getaway for the price we paid. The resort also offered an impressive selection of included activities, from catamarans to kayaking and canoeing, ensuring there was always something to do. Additionally, the variety of excursions available catered to all budgets, making it easy to explore the area. While the resort’s charm was undeniable, the hotel itself showed signs of aging and could benefit from an upgrade. The buffet dining was underwhelming, with cold food, minimal variety, and a lack of seasoning. However, the Mexican and international à la carte restaurants truly delivered—offering delicious, high-quality meals that made up for the buffet experience. The staff at the resort were consistently friendly and welcoming, enhancing our overall experience. The nightly entertainment was another standout, with talented performers delivering engaging shows we thoroughly enjoyed. For those looking to shop for souvenirs, taking a cab to Port Lucaya is highly recommended, as it offers a great selection of handmade crafts from local vendors. All in all, Viva Wyndham Fortuna Beach provided a memorable vacation with a mix of pros and cons. If you can secure the right price, it offers good value for your money.

The service workers and the entertainment people were polite, friendly and made you feel welcomed. The beaches were beautiful. You can go snorkeling and see lots of colourful fish and the reef. The entertainment was great. They had a show every night.

Very big resort. Room location was horrible. When you arrive/leave your baggage and explore the facilities. Couldn't book dinner reservations for their el la carte restaurants as they were booked for the week. Get up at 6:00 am every morning to get a pool chair. Good luck! Towel service sucked! Guest service staff were not friendly. Entertainment was great. However, I wouldn't recommend this resort. P.S. we got locked out of our room for 2 hours the night before departure, due to old malfunction key pads.

The room was spacious. The workers were nice and helpful. There were 4 pickle-ball courts and a tennis court that we took advantage of. The al-a-carte restaurants were fine to good. The buffet had varying dinner options with lunch and breakfast being less fluctuating. The resort was kept reasonably clean and and felt safe walking around at any point of day or nght. The beach had rocky portions and seaweed at high water mark. The water's edge had greenish vegetation for the initial 1m into the water. Could have been more events as other locations we have been to. Some of the buffet items were very salty. The sports bar had old and broken games. The disco was put on after 1130pm in the sports bar. Did not attend as was later than stayed up. The pool was fairly cool, colder than ocean.

We have gone here 3 years straight with a group of 15 -18 friends each year. Love the size and the activities i.e. 4 Pickleball courts, Archery, Hobbie Cats, yard games silly activities to partake. They need to refresh the games i.e. Corn hole bags were half full bolo golf only 2 bolos bocce balls broken or different types...these are tiny spends to add fun. Foam party needs more canons ha. First 2 years bars were well stocked and bartenders were over the top great. This year they seemed out of most things. No mint for mojitos, no white russians (coacao), no brandy alexanders often. I look for not sweet or fruity options...Anyhow still had great fun and giggles with our friends.

Sure, you can go to Cuba for less. But for The Bahamas - Viva Fortuna is a great deal! The beach is absolutely glorious! Lovely soft sand and uncrowded sandy strolls in both directions. Bluest water as far as you can see and palm trees framing stunning sunrises. All this alone is worth the price of admission! For a cheap and cheerful resort, Viva Fortuna can't be beat. We upgraded to an oceanfront room which was brilliant - you are literally ON the beach! The rooms could certainly use some upgrading but ours was very clean, the bed was comfy, the fridge was cold and the shower was hot. The food at the buffet was fine (nothing spectacular) but booking a specialty restaurant was virtually impossible. Even on our first day we were told "everything is booked!" We did manage 2 meals at the Cafe Viva and both nights the room was half full at best. So "booked" really means understaffed. That said, this is NOT a 5 star resort and the food (and horrible wine) reflects that. Most of the staff members were friendly and helpful, nobody in our group starved and the beach was the best! My biggest complaint was the non-stop BOOM-BOOM music. The DJ was definitely not reading the room. Sure there were a few 20-somethings, but far more mature adults and families. I am a long-time radio DJ and I would have chosen much differently, especially for certain times of day. And ... if you were sitting at the beach bar (which should have umbrellas on the tables!) the music there was in very loud conflict with the pool music. Please - pick one! On a positive note, the evening singer was very good! Extra note: our package was with Sunwing and I would be very reluctant to book with them again. At the Freeport airport we had to wait 40 minutes to check in and then another 45 to pass security. Then, upon our return to Toronto we had to wait almost TWO hours for our luggage!

We visited this resort once 5 years ago and again this past week. Staff were super friendly and the food was excellent. The rooms could benefit from some remodeling as they are old and tired. We really enjoyed the water aerobics each day in the pool. One thing that was missing was a functioning ping pong table. They used to have the table just outside the bar, which was lots of fun, but now it has been relegated to a room known as a “sports bar”.Unfortunately the table is defunct without a net, without paddles or balls and folded up into a corner, unusable! The same goes for the billards table, it was as well completely unusable! Overall, good value for the money. Beautiful beach as well as great food and drink

The resort was really nice . The beach was the best part with beautiful sand and water . The rooms we stayed in were a little dated but still worked for us . The food was good but could have been heated more when it came out .

My friends and I booked this resort for our reading break in February this year. The resort layout is small but had everything we needed. Staff were very nice and engaging with our group. Although there were not a lot of younger people our age there at the time, we still made some great friends. The food was delicious and there was a wide assortment of drink options. The beach was exceptionally beautiful with calm blue waters. The resort is close to some in town bars that you can walk and drive to if you choose. The activities available at the resort are available to everyone to ensure there is always something to do. I personally used the beach volleyball court every day.

If you want an easy trip, this is your spot! Less than 3 hour flight from Toronto and 10 min bus ride from airport to resort. It has an amazing white sand beach with the water steps away from your room. Only one pool, which is always very cold. I could count on one hand the number of people swimming in it. Staff are less than ideal, with bartenders scowling (with only two bars, there is always a long line), and buffet has no service other than clearing your plates from the table. The food was a 3.5 star resort, definitely. If you could get into one of the 3 a la carte restaurants, you hit the jackpot. They only have 3 and never all open on the same night. This is terrible. Kids club is also not at all what we would expect, no toys and the playground was caution taped off. This is a 3.5 star place but that is truly only because of the location.

The food buffet was good as it was five years ago. The rooms are looking tired and are in need of repair. Staff was very friendly and was able to answer any questions that you had. The steak la carte food was really great.

The beach was great and the resort has a lot of potential but needs updating and improvements. Food was ok, not great but better than anything I had in Cuba ever. Rooms are dated. Cleaning staff could be better. Lots of sports to do which is great ! A gym, water sports, archery, pickle ball and tennis and even a trapeze. All in all relaxing but could be updated. Needs a dedicated coffee area and another food option. The beach bar food can be improved upon. Stores need to be open later. People look at shops in evenings and they close at .

Yearly girls trip of 6, age range from 45-70; and since we had not experienced the Bahamas, this is the resort we booked. The rooms are in desperate need of a makeover! The water pressure in the bathroom shower is almost non existent and your lucky if you have warm water! So much for getting shampoo out and rinsing soap from your body! As for the room, not even a little sitting area with small table, and I realize you don't go to a resort to stay in your room, but there are times you want to sit......to maybe have a coffee or put your shoes on, lol. We were also expecting a complimentary litre bottle of water and maybe a pop or two????? As we have experienced at other resorts. Food was mediocre, ala carte's were impossible to book, even though we tried first day there.......... On a positive note, even though the weather wasn't the greatest, the beach is awesome and we were pleasantly pleased to see how clean it was kept. There were a few "friendly" "helpful" employees..........Kirkland was awesome! Very friendly and helpful! Along with 2 gentlemen in the dining area, my apologies for forgetting your names, but you know who you are!

Beach was awesome, rooms were dated and needed some tlc. Water supply and pressure for showers was pretty much non existent. Barely got a trickle of water most of the time and it was not warm. A/C did not work properly in the room. Turned the temperature up to 90 degrees but still froze. Left it off for the duration of our stay Food was pretty good, nice variety Bar was anlways out of something though. Felt like they were rationing things

Food was good at the buffet Al a Carts were all excellent Staff super friendly and helpful They all aim to please Resort grounds clean and well kept with the exception of the main pool filter should be used daily and out of the 7 days 5 days the bottom was sandy Beach incredible Rooms were kept clean Public washrooms more cleanliness needed all the doors were stained around the handle Could have easily been cleaned with a bleached cloth Overall we had a great time and were happy with our experience for the value Entertainment staff and shows were incredibly done well Bravo!!!

Heather was great to deal with very accommodating. Fantastic flight with Sunwing 2:30 hours from Toronto to Freeport great crew. Resort is very cute and well kept .This is a very low key resort great for getting around rooms need updating but relatively clean but I did request more pillows and received them. Check in was total disaster everyone were guided into the auditorium were you had to line up to get your bracelets rooms are not ready until 3 we arrived at 1:00 pm once you had your bracelet then you could go for lunch had to go back to auditorium at 3 for room key. Food was good nice selection beer and wine on tap no waiter or waitress service remember not a 5 star but over all was very pleased with this resort requested rooms close together family of 5 adults 1 infant very accommodating. The Italian restaurant was delicious also very good service. Did not try the other specialty restaurants International and Mexican. The beach snack bar had amazing food hamburgers hotdogs and nachos with pizza as well as a beach bar very accommodating tips definitely help put a dollar in the box..Beach absolutely stunning more than enough chairs no need to reserve beach beds. Entertainment was late never made it as it started at 9:30 lobby bar was nice for a night cap. Would go back definitely looking at November.

There is so much that we want to share regarding the resort Viva Wyndham Fortuna Beach, but we want to be fair and factual with our comments. We have travelled extensively, so do have comparisons to guide us. First the positive things! The staff are excellent and do everything possible to ensure you have an enjoyable stay at the resort. The Beach is first rate and very beautiful, you could walk in either direction for a very long time. The Pool area is clean and recently refurbished, including the Beach Bar. Now, here are the many, many areas for improvement. This is undoubtedly the worst resort we have been to including Cuba! This resort should be closed for major renovations. It is old and you see this everywhere. The main lobby is disgraceful and gives a bad first impression. The Theater is like a Barn with cheap white plastic chairs. The large bar area needs some new clean furniture. Glasses on tables are picked up regularly, but no one wiped the tables for the entire week. The food is tasty but very limited in variety. Meals are always cold! Nightly entertainment is limited to the same one person playing every night. Repetitious! Need a variety of performers for the week. The nightly shows were at a "high school" level. No doubt these kids worked very hard to put on the show. Paid for a "Superior" Ocean View Room and was placed in the furthest building from the ocean with a "glimpse" of the ocean. When I enquired about this, was told the resort was full!! The Sunwing Reps were not helpful and was only focused on selling day trips!! I should be refunded the "extra" we paid for this!!!Admittedly our room was recently repainted so was okay. Had problems with room lock which was not resolved! Had issues getting in and out! During the nights both doors rattled with the wind giving the impression that someone was breaking in!!This Resort needs a total reno job! Some of the common areas need a deep cleaning. It would benefit the resort to have focus groups to get input on the improvements needed. Using a double-decker bus to transport guests to and from the airport is senseless because more than 50% of the guests are seniors and had difficulties getting to the upper deck. Some were breathless and unsteady when they got upstairs. They were unhappy! The lower deck was for luggage only!! Would like to speak directly to a Resort management Rep!!! But not available or just don't care!

Food was fabulous, top notch. Rooms were fine, nothing special but super clean. Staff were great. Friendly, safe atmosphere. Dive shop was full of good people. Absolutely nothing to complain about. Would definitely go back.

Resort was great. Beautiful beach, food was good. My only complaint was the transportation. Open air double decker bus on the windiest day. Sunwing could of done better.Viva Fortuna Beach is definitely worth a visit.

The entertainment was excellent , beach was awesome , rooms were clean and fresh ran out of hot water a couple times but for the most part great resort Deluxe ocean view was partial view from an angle but pleasant. Lots of activities and very family friendly only major complaint was there were people smoking everywhere. There was not nonsmoking areas outdoors only indoors and in the theatre so we were not able to enjoy outside seating without breathing second hand smoke Would be nice if there was a completely non smoking area Also having a server offer drinks and refills at the buffet would be nice. As it made for lots of people lining up around those areas Food at buffet was pretty fair and lots of choices A la carted were average and limited menus It’s very expensive to buy snacks. Ie small bag of Doritos $8.95 The island has very little in the way of tours that had much of interest The island seems to be having trouble coming back from the hurricane Dorian Lots of just tree tops and stumps On the bright side it has one of the nicest beaches I’ve been to Also pushed the membership and would only let them have premium liquor I have always been able to pay for premium elsewhere even where members exist Maybe having a pool and hot tub strictly for adults would have been better as since it was on the cooler side all parents were in with children

In the main dining area a wide variety of good food was available and the service was excellent, the special restaurant food service was good. The rooms exterior need a face lift, the general grounds was well. The beach was good.

Beautiful Clean Resort Being my first time in the Bahamas I was very impress with the resort .The show team were amazing,not only at the show but all over the resort,when they meet you on the resort they stop to talk.the buffet was excellent,clean and large variety of food. The main barwas OK except one water was not that nice.Overall it was a great resort

The room was outdated. In need of some TLC but was clean. I really liked the food. There was always and variety to choose from and the coffee was great. I enjoyed the quiet and relaxing atmosphere. The beach is just beautiful and the I liked the nearby activities like the hot tub, pool, trapeze and volleyball. The best part however, was the entertainment crew. They are very friendly and talented. During the day there is yoga, darts, bingo, corn hole, water aerobics and Zumba classes. Something for all ages. There is also nightly entertainment and performances by the crew members.

This family friendly resort offers wonderful amenities, good food and great entertainment. The staff is professional and courteous. The grounds are very well maintained. The A La Carte restaurants are impressive. I would definitely stay there again.

Was there 11 months ago this time rooms were not done everyday although clean had to leave notes to have garbage emptied and clean facecloths and towels just 2 little bottles of water once upon arrival then you are on your own last year we had a large bottle daily the activity staff quiet this year not as enthousiastic as last year all in all was good

The hotel is beautiful. This was my 4th time visiting this hotel. Food is great! Clean facility, rooms were nice, a bit run down this time, the toilets were old, tissue holder was broken. There were no drinks like they used to have. But they kept it as clean as possible. The entertainment show was only half hr., I remember it being about an hour previously. No kids club any more. Some of the activities has been cut down. The beach was dirty with seaweed, they only cleaned it twice for that whole week. But overall the staff was friendly, and the we had a great time.

If you are looking for a quiet relaxing holiday, this is the place to go. We all so enjoyed the fact that the resort was not surrounded by other resorts, a walk along the beach felt private and not packed with people. The rooms, although a little worn were clean and comfortable. The meals were plentiful and varied, we especially enjoyed our fine dining night. Without exception the staff were polite and very friendly. We took advantage of a lot of included activities. My only moan would be about the checking in affair, the process was long winded and quite frustrating and really needs to be improved upon. That being said the rest of our vacation was simply wonderful.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The buffet contained good , plentiful and varied food. The optional restaurants had delicious food. Beautiful beach. Lots of activities. Rooms could be rejuvenated.

Pickleball players should know there are 4 good courts for use. We did lots of Hobbycat runs that were great! Beach is huge for just this resort. 90% available chairs. Amy is one of the entertainment organizers and kept busy with fun silly stuff. I love the smaller 260 room environment as you get familiar with the staff and other guests. Fun Foam party! It was more a serve yourself environment which I like i.e. at buffet noone brings coffee etc but coffee beer wine are on tap. Also no one stocks fridge in room. I bought a few beers for the room to have handy. Everything is close by so ended up leaving a couple behind. Drinks were top notch and snuck up on me a few days.... Rooms are basic but our view of the beach was amazing.

The buffet was great food plus the Ala cart food was not bad Mexican food needs improvement! The lobby requires more bar staff to cater the lines after the shows in the evenings. The shows were the best Staff at the front guest service were lovely (Amy) sweetheart . Omar is the manager takes care of you very well !snack bar was good, but the drinks services needs to be faster . Security on the beach is extremely well taken care of . This beach is so safe you can walk for miles . Very safe Just the bathroom needs painting and repairs and you con hear next door bedroom. That’s bad

Rooms were clean, food amazing, people great, nice beaches. Lots of pluses. Downside, it is a cruise ship destination location. Bus full every second day, 30 min line ups to get a drink, way to many people added for size of resort. We had school days show up. could not get near pool or beach bar the entire day. Everyone has a right to be there, but completely overwhelmed everyone there. Even security walked away saying lots of problems but can’t do anything. So nice place, great staff, but 5 of our 7 days were standing in lines to get anything.

Nice resort,beautiful beach. The resort could of been a bit more organized. The menu could of had more variety in foods and assorted fruits. I still had an amazing experience and enjoyed my time there regardless those minor issues. I would still recommend this resort.

I am always on the hunt for a great resort for a great price ! I have to say we would come back here in a heartbeat . I brought my husband and 2 grown daughters and we all loved it . The lobby is underwhelming but don’t judge a book by its cover. Money well invested in amazing pool furniture and tucci umbrellas non the less and plenty of chairs for everyone , no need to get up at the crack of dawn and stake out your property if you know what I mean . Always plenty of good food morning noon and night and very friendly staff as well ! Short lines for fabulous cocktails and the barista , Sonja always had a smile and so pleasant as were all the bartenders and the activity directors were fabulous ! My family loved the nightly entertainment . The beach was amazing and great for walking . Nice rooms , cotton sheets and comfortable beds . We don’t like to go back to the same place twice but hands down we would come back to viva Wyndham in a heart beat ! Short flight from Toronto and a great price , what on earth more could one ask for . Thank you thank to all the staff who made our trip so enjoyable , go tell your bosses you need a raise! I feel beyond blessed and grateful to have experienced such a wonderful trip with my beautiful family ! Just book it I’ve done all the searching for you !

Food phenomenal,grounds clean, staff excellent, activities well organized (Amy Army) staff very talented evening shows spectacular. A La carte restaurants were excellent. Pool side activities were fun with a good variety for every age group. Bedrooms were fine. Bufffet area clean and well presented.

Hotel is 3.5 star so you get what you pay for. Nowaiters on beach or pool area and only 2 bars with cruise people coming in every day so long lines for a drink then no tables to set things on. Hot tub very gross, ocean very rocky. Entertainment is superb, great shows, lots of activities. Food is good but repetitive in buffet

It's an older resort,only issue for us was no hot water the first few days.everyone friendly and helpful .food was good, really nice beach but not great for snorkeling. Ac in room worked well.less than three hour flight from Toronto was a bonus.whole island felt very safe.

I read so many horrible reviews of this resort that I was a bit nervous about coming. We were pleasantly surprised though. The resort, food, pool were solid. The drinks were strong. The coffee bar served great coffee. The beach is beautiful. I mean, it's the Bahamas! The Bahamians were so nice too. Really, you get what you pay for. This is a very economical way to see a beautiful part of the world. Yes the hotel is a bit tired. (You can really hear your neighbours.) But it was fine. We liked that the resort did not feel big or crowded. I appreciated that we were in a quieter room as there's partying long into the night and we're not into that. Either we were lucky, other guests were unlucky, or some people have unrealistic expectations.

A great family resort with lots of activities. Friendly staff and amazing entertainers. Although the rooms were dated, the views from the ocean view rooms were worth the upgrade. With all the activities to do, little time was spent in the room. The beach is clean with lots of loungers and very private. Had a fantastic trip and would love to go back in the future.

The Good: Relatively clean resort overall. Friendly Staff, they were always accommodating to our little kids, bringing out yogurt during lunch/dinner when there was none. Nice gardens and vegetation. The pool is surprisingly big. Who has a trapeze? Viva Wyndham Fortuna Beach does! So much fun. Same with all the free water sport equipment. The beach is quite beautiful. If you like to snorkel, there are some coral reefs about 200 metres out into the ocean directly in front of the snack bar, where they serve great burgers from 11-6. Opportunities for improvement: Offer more variety at the buffet, and keep up with demand as there are a lot of empty food trays on changeover days. You could see that the staff was struggling to keep up with the needs of all the patrons when the resort was either close to capacity, or recently had a changeover. Stay on top of important safety measures, we stayed in the 1200's and there were at least three evenings when we stepped out of our room and the lighting was not on. It felt quite dangerous to walk around in the dark with our rambunctious 4 year old and 2 year old plus a stroller in tow. We were on the second level, neither the balconies or the stairs were lit up. There are no elevators to the second floor in any of the buildings, stairs are the only option Be better at keeping the kids pool clean, there were multiple days where we had to either clean it ourselves or ask the front desk to get a maintenance person out to clean it. Some of the railing pieces in the room of our balcony were missing, and there were multiple rusty sharp nails exposed everywhere, which were a big hazard for our kids. Honesty is the best policy, on Tuesday we booked a Sunwing excursion of the island for Thursday in Jeeps. We were very excited about it. They knew we had a 4 year old, 2 year old and 1.5 year old in our group when booking. On the morning of the trip we were asked "did you bring carseats for your kids?" obviously we didn't and nothing was said about that during the booking. They proceeded to tell us they tried calling us, but since they had our room number wrong they couldn't get in touch with us. I didn't believe them as the other couple in our group had the 1.5 year old and their room number was taken down correctly. Why didn’t they try calling them?! Makes no sense! We were all quite disappointed initially, but then ended up making the best of it. We decided to trek it to the Banana Bay bar via a 20 minute walk along the beach. We highly recommend the food and walking the sandbar there at low tide! Despite all the opportunities for improvement, it was a good experience. It was fairly apparent that multiple things were being overlooked, and that they were understaffed on busy days. As long as you’re okay with those things, this place strikes a good balance between value, location, and comfort.

I wouldn’t go back to this place if it was free. Hot food served cold buffet. Refrigerator cold burgers dogs and fries at the beach. No pool heater. Pool was so cold not one person was seen in it for the 8 days we were there other than people in full body wetsuits for scuba refreshers. I know because I was one of them and it was still freezing. AC was as loud as a freight train when it came on. Room was either sweltering hot or frigid. No way to moderate the temperature. Toilette ran for 6 days straight till they finally sent someone to fix it. I had to flush it by taking the back off and pulling the plug. Closet door kept sticking and eventually fell off the track on my foot. It remained up against a wall beside a bed for days too. Only when the batteries for the fire alarm died did they finally come to fix everything on the day before we left. Of the 3 ala carte restaurants, the Italian one had good food, warm at least, and good service but the portions were so small we saw people from 9 of the 10 tables being served when we were there back in the buffet immediately afterwards, (the Caesar salad was tasty but would have easily fit into a tea cup) the second restaurant made us wait 50 minutes for the appetizers, we were told they were backed up. There we’re 5 tables occupied at the time. The last restaurant brought me salmon when I ordered the steak. Rust covered metal drain in the shower. Decapitated archery equipment that all but one bow though unraveling and loose parts were unsafe. Foosball tables. One with mechanical defects so unusable and no available balls for 6 of the 8 days we were there. 2 of the 8 bicycles had inflated tires, seats that didn’t spin and teeter up and down and chain sprockets and axles working well enough to effectively break when needed. I could go one forever. Most of the staff who not working in the lobby were respectful and friendly. (Unless they were men. The 3 men we interacted with in the lobby were polite, professional and were exceptionally good at their jobs) The gym was impressive though. Especially for this place, a place that seems to have been abandoned by any acceptable level of management. I’ve been traveling 2 to 3 times every year for more than 50 years now and this place just took first in the worst category.

If you are looking for a relaxing vacation at a very cheap price then Viva Wyndham Fortuna Beach Resort is for you. Its clean and on a beautiful beach, however, the resort is old, in need of many repairs and improvements and the food is just ok. We found in the buffet restaurant that trays of various foods went empty for long periods of time before they were replaced. The staff were in slow motion most of the time. We got very little maid service, for example, the maid took off the empty toilet roll but didn't replace it with a new roll of toilet paper, just left it empty, we had to request big towels for showering, we were only given a face cloth and some hand towels to start. The maid never replaced the coffee and tea in our room so we were only able to use the coffee maker the first morning. My bed made lots of noises every time I rolled over and our toilet was like riding a roller coaster because it moved quite a bit. As for beach towels, we were asked not to turn in our wet towels for clean ones as they ran out of towels a few times during our week and sadly the pool was only vacuumed once during our stay; lots of bugs and pieces of palm trees were in the water as well a body oils. Check-in was a joke and probably a good indicator as to how our week would go, as we stood in line outside the airport to get on a bus, but were held up as they checked off each person's name on a list, then upon arrival at the hotel, we were asked to line up again to get our all inclusive bands and then told to come back in about two hours for a meeting and then to line up again an hour later to get our keys, which could have been done all at the same time. There were lineups for the bars every day and evenings. The activities staff were definitely the most friendly. And lastly, everything is spread out, it is a large resort, so if you don't mind walking or climbing stairs, no elevators, you are good to go. As I said, if you want a cheap vacation to relax, it might be for you. The hotel is currently working on some improvements so maybe by next winter things will be better. The Wyndham hotel chain usually stands for good quality.

Bahamas itself, had a lovely week although, I wouldn't go in January again as it was very windy. The water was exceptional, like glass. So clear and clean. Sad to see still so much devastation from hurricane 4 years ago on the island itself but a site to see. Sunquest representative for the coaches to the hotel, we called 'Grandpa' was a fantastic welcome from a lovely man and put us all at ease quickly, especially the young children. Hotel - rooms were clean and comfortable - cleaning ladies and majority of staff were very friendly and some just exceptional. Activities - canoe's, stand up surf boards and kayaks included was great, as well as the tennis, archery and gym. Hotel pool was too cold for me but others did enjoy but it certainly wasnt full. Food was, for the most part, very good. We certainly didn't go hungry. I will say as a comparison, I enjoyed food more than some higher rated hotels on other tropical travel destinations. Entertainment was fantasic but very late. Kids show 9:00 and adult show 9:30. Entertainers ensured guests were having a great time till the night, sometimes late late night, ended. 5* for them 100%. Only complaints: 2 bottles of water in the room the whole stay but there are stations to get water but have to walk to main area. To buy water was expensive. Maybe at least stocking fridge with pop/juice for the kids and provide a big bottle to fill with water so as not to take a long walk to refill one little glass. But, considering rating understand this is normal...... but customer service goes a long way. Room keycards more often than not did not work. Very inconvenient. Very long lines to get a drink unless you are VIP. You can wait up to and more than 1/2 hour to get a drink.... order 2 or 3 at a time for yourself. I would go again in a heartbeat just to walk along that beautiful crystal clear beach. Not really necessary to leave the hotel unless off weather days. No bargains really outside of the resort and excursions are .... same ol same and not the cheapest. Unless swimming with pigs is your cup of tea but remember, they poop in the water... LOL

The resort was not too big but very pretty, well decorated and designed for convenience. Beach is very close. Rooms were clean. Staff is friendly. Great nightly shows and entrainment. Talented acrobatic shows. Food is great! Flavorful and great variety. This was my 3rd time there, and I would go again!

We were very happy to have stayed in this resort, despite the fact that there were lots of guys for the march break. Luckily we have always been guaranteed priority without lines. Fantastic and well equipped beach Clean rooms but small bathrooms Good food Entertainment TOP

Do Not Go To This Resort last week of February or first 3 weeks in March. At no point during the booking process was it disclosed that over 800 Spring Break Students from the states would be there it was chaos! Staff did what they could to accommodate and we have teenagers so we managed but it was a complete drunk fest and line ups for the bar and food. SunWing said we were told however they are hanging their hat on the communication that was sent out after we paid for our tickets. When we challenged them all they offered was $100 vouchers! Nice beach and clean hotel and friendly staff but SunWing does this year after year to fill the rooms. They need to be held accountable for tricking people who save all year to take their family on vacation and walk into the environment we dealt with for a week.

Great family hotel. Not to big very intimate. Food was good, rooms were spacious, grounds well maintained and clean. Great pool area including hot tub, morning yoga, plenty of towels, snack bar. Daytime and nighttime entertainment was very good. Trapèze very popular with tweens and courageous adults. Daycare facility available so parents can snorkel, go kayaking, paddle bord or sailing all part of the inclusive package. For an added fee you can snorkel with turtles, feed pigs, explore caverns and walk the beach were Pirates of the Caribbean was filmed. We Thoroughly enjoyed our vacation and would recommend this hotel.

We enjoyed our holiday at Viva Wyndham. We needed time away to unwind and this was just the ticket. The beach is absolutely beautiful, the food was good, the staff were amazing, all so friendly and willing to help in any way possible and the rooms were clean. I would suggest putting hooks on the back of the bathroom door so that we could hang bathing suits to dry etc. Thank you. Everything went so smoothly.

Overall, we enjoyed our trip to Viva Wyndham. The staff was very friendly and the ammeneties were great. Our room was just okay. The beds were comfortable but the room lacked cleanliness. The food at the hotel was average. It was great that the hotel used reusable cups for their drinks.

The hotel is situated on a beautiful waterfront with great amenities and activities at your disposal. If you are like us and care more about the experience than the quality of food and hotel room, this resort is a jewel. You will not spend a dull moment on the grounds, or the island. Would highly recommend.

The hotel rooms were nothing special, rather dated. But the dining area was rather nice, the food was excellent, and the staff was amazing! The beach was perfect, large and lengthy, you could walk for miles in the lovely white sand. The specialty restaurants had great food, but the meal at the Viva café was to die for. Every succulent mouthful was unbelievable! The entertainment was different than anything we’ve experienced in any other resort, it was actually entertaining, with comedy skits one night and a musical review another night. The entertainment staff made it a point to meet almost every individual staying at the resort, remembering most by name, and invited people to join them throughout the day in all of the activities, like water aerobics, etc. In the end, it felt like one big happy family.

We stayed at this resort from Feb 8th to Feb 15th. We enjoyed our stay a lot. The staff were very friendly and make an effort to get to know you. Also, the resort is great for families as they do many activities for kids as well as adults. Also, the food is good, the beach is beautiful and very clean however the water is very rocky so make sure you wear water shoes when you swim.

Overall, we loved our stay at the Viva Wynhdam, it is the ideal resort for families. They do great activities for adults and kids, thw resort is small, so makes it easier to walk around and get to know people. The entertainers at the resort and the staff was awesome. The food was good, was a little repetitive with not much options, but it was good. The only downside to the hotel is the fact that you can only check in for 3 PM, for someone that gets there around 11 AM with kids, that is not ideal. But besides that we enjoyed our stay and we highly recommend this trip destination.

I was pleasantly surprised by this resort. Never been on an all-inclusive before but I certainly would do it again. The beach, pool, rooms and grounds were all great and I especially enjoyed the Latin Dancing lessons every day which came to good use in the evenings. The staff were amazing and I couldn't believe their talent when they performed in the shows every night. There was a good variety of food in the buffet and overall it was good. The only downside was the Italian a la carte restaurant - maybe they were having a bad night but the service was really slow and my meal was luke-warm. The other two restaurants were fully booked so didn't get a chance to try them.

This resort was economically priced, so we expected a 3 star stay and that is what we got. Food in the main dining room was fine but there was not a lot of variety over the week. Lots of broken equipment such as juice and soda dispensers but alternatives usually offered. Food in the a la Carte restaurants was terrible and the service poor. Staff overall were very friendly and helpful. The entertainment team worked really hard to entertain guests and the shows we saw were earnestly prepared and delivered. Resort was generally very clean. Beach is nice, some rocks and seaweed about 10 feet from the shore. Lots of young families seemed to be enjoying themselves.

We stayed at Viva Fortuna Beach the first week of February. We were very impressed with the high quality entertainment - throughout the entire day. The entertainment staff were always positive, enthusiastic and smiling. They encouraged people to stay active, have fun with activities and put on an amazing show every evening. The food was very good at the buffet - lots of variety for all palates, good quality, my family felt great with the food the whole week. We went to Viva La Pizza a la carte one night - the pizza and calzones were amazing, but they took forever, and the service was not that great, the Pesto pasta was delicious but the carbonara was cold, perhaps because it sat waiting for the other food to come out. The beach was lovely with many water activities available. We took out a catamaran and also paddle boards. The room we had was ok. We were in Bimini section, and were at the far end away from the noise of the main part of the resort which we loved, but sadly we had a security light shining in our room all night - even with the blackout curtains it was too bright for our taste. The room itself was reasonable - it was clean and the water was hot and had good pressure. The beds were ok, but not luxury - basically it was what we expected so we were happy. This is an amazing family resort. There is lots to do, or you can just relax. The pool and the ocean were both great for swimming and playing. We will come back and we have already recommended it to our family and friends.

Clean rooms, good food, beautiful beaches.The only thing I had an issue with was the desk clerk who told me they did not have any complimentary umbrellas. Yet our friends in the room next door had one in their room with a note to use it and there were other people on the resort using them. I hate being lied to and found that upsetting. The housekeeping service was excellent. If you are looking for a 5 star this is not the place but good value for the price.

This hotel is a small pretty quiet place. Our expectations were not crazy high but they were exceeded! The food was amazing much better than anywhere south we’ve been (Cuba, Dominican). The beach is amazing and beyond huge with plenty of loungers And a great beach bar with great lunch food. Our room was very nice and clean however there was a lack of hot water but they just suffered an intense hurricane so we didn’t bother to complain. If you treat these amazing people with respect you will get it right back. If you go to the front desk to complain with an attitude good luck. It doesn’t cost anything to be kind. Overall I’d recommend this to any of my friends and family.

Minus a long check in, we were pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and appearance of the room; the oceanfront rooms are the way to go! The food was very good, we enjoyed the options at each meal. Fortuna beach is stunning, but the water cool this time of year. Service is OK, and the staff are generally friendly- especially if you have a tip ready. The pool wasn't heated so we did not go in (super cold!).

The show performers make this place stand out. During the days, they are actively involved in all activities and engage the tourists at all times. It's great to see them check up on you and ensure that you are having a good time. It is a fairly spacious resort, you can easily find spots on the beach, which is beautiful. There is so much to do! A soccer field, basketball court, beach volleyball, kayaking or sailing, apparently bicycling which I found out about later, pool tables, foosball, ping pong, karaoke, nightly disco bar which is lively, a very decent snack bar that has lots of options, a main bar where you can relax inside and not feel crowded at all. There's a trio of a la carte restaurants which are really good. If I ever go back, a big part of it is the crew that works there that made it a fun experience.

Food was great! Activities were loads of fun. I just loved getting to know some of the staff there. Fabulous dancers and great New Year's Eve fun. Rooms were okay but I would have loved to be able to go for a night swim in the pool.

The food was OK just OK not much options for the seafood the stuff is amazing the activity guys were active but some of them are not friendly I can remember a few names here The weather was very very bad 😬

Reading the reviews ahead of the trip we weren’t sure what to expect. The resort has exceeded our expectations. The weather was great with a bit of tropical rain in the evening or overnight. We had rooms in the yellow building across from tennis courts and they felt a bit further from the main area but even that was no longer than a 5 min walk. The room was a bit outdated and bathroom needed renovation. The rest of resort amenities were updated and kept clean. Buffet food was very tasty and we could always find options for what to eat - great pastas, good selection at the salad bar and plenty of protein options. We really enjoyed Mexican night, Italian night and Bahamian night at the buffet. We tried one a la carte - pizza and Italian and it was great and very fast and attentive service. Staff at the resort were great! Our 4 year old really enjoyed a couple of the nightly shows - though it would be better if they started earlier than 9:30. The beach was expansive, mostly clear of seaweed and kept immaculate. The vendors on the beach were very annoying and security seemed to keep them at bay somewhat. We would definitely return.

The pool and beach areas were amazing with snorkeling right off the beach. Plenty of loungers on the beach. More are needed at the pool. Our room was far away but still a short walk through beautiful grounds to get anywhere. Room was clean and in need of a reno but everything worked fine. The food was very good with plenty of choices.

I've been to Bahamas 3x and knew what to expect from a 3.5* hotel. Check in was easy, booked our al la cartes right after checking in. We didnt get our rooms until 3pm l, so we just changed into our bathing suits and enjoyed the beach and pool. The staff were friendly, grounds were pristine, pool was clean, and common areas were clean. Our room was outdated, but let's be real I didn't go to the Bahamas to stay in the room. It had everything we needed, but nothing fancy. Food was good, never had a problem eating (I'm a very picky eater). 1 pool but never seemed over crowded. I found that if you treated staff with respect, they treated you with respect. At the buffet we often sat at a table that didnt have cutlery, but no problem we just helped ourselves. The one takeaway from this was you're going to have a great time and if you don't then that is on you. There is no reason from what I could see from my experience that I could have had a bad time. Little things happen but it doesnt change my feelings towards our vacation. We had a great time!

If it wasn’t for the Spring Breaker’s vulgarity and inappropriate behaviour I would give this resort an amazing review. I believe these student trips should only be allowed to be at an adult only resort. My children and others heard profanity, wet tee-shirt contests etc. Loved the beach, service, food.... but would never go here again, as I’m a teacher and can only go during March Break. I would recommend ONLY if it’s not during February or March when Spring Breakers are on there “S” trips.

This was my second time at this resort I would recommend this hotel. All the staff was amazing excellent service. The beach was clean and beautiful, allot of beach chairs available . The beach bar was excellent great staff and snack bar had amazing hamburgers at lunch. The rooms were very clean comfort beds but could use some upgrading. Buffet had a good variety of foods with theme nights. There is 3 restaurants to dine at all excellent and guest services book the reservations all at once for the week so no standing in line everyday to hopefully get a spot for dinner ! No complaints I will definitely return to this resort !

The rooms really need to be updated!! The housekeeper skills could definitely be improved! The food was pretty good for the most part. The beach was very nice! Didn’t find the staff to be all that friendly! We have done a lot of traveling, first time to the Bahamas, would go back but not to this resort!

Was at this resort mid January with spouse and our 2 teenage daughters. Check in was like nothing I’ve ever experienced. We waited in line for an hour to check in; then waited in a bathroom line up to change into our bathing suits. Then went back after 3 to get our room keys. We had an ocean view room - the view was fantastic. Bed was very uncomfortable and room can still use some improvements. My daughters had a garden view room that was very outdated, bed uncomfortable and could hear everything in the next room to them. The would not accommodate us to have them in the same building we we’re in. There is no servers for alcohol around pool, beach or restaurants. Drinks and food we’re fantastic! Animation team and games we’re fun! Do join in the games, aqua fit, archery etc - we had so much fun and met a lot of great people. If you like to walk the beach it’s fantastic to walk; there’s even a place called Cleveland’s along the way to stop and have a drink in the afternoon.

My husband and I travelled with our 5 year old son along with another family consisting of husband, wife, 6 year old daughter and 4 year old son We stayed at the resort Jan 19 - 26 2019 Overall the resort was okay.. you get what you pay for.. total cost for my husband, son and I was just under 3000$ from Toronto Beach: Beautiful beach! when the tide is low; the coral reef is on the beach and easy to see when walking! when the tide is high; the reef is in the water and presents problems when trying to enter the ocean it was extremely windy during our stay so we didn't swim in the ocean much never short on beach chairs! Rooms: We stayed in the older section (3000 block) small bathroom! large crack under the door to outside! adjoining room walls are very thin and you can hear your neighbours loud and clear! rooms are outdated which is fine (everything was fully functioning in our room) and it was kept clean! Service: It was average! some workers enjoyed their job while others didn't It was a very "get it yourself" type resort which was fine with us Pool: The main pool was kept clean.. We would periodically see a worker cleaning the pool with the net The water was cold so we didn't swim in the pool at all Hot tub: We spent most of our time in there.. it was nothing fancy but they kept the temperature warm enough to stay in but not too hot to want to step out. the kids loved it! Food: We didn't go hungry but it wasn't a huge buffet The food at the beach was a cute set up and perfect for lunch or a snack! (we did not do any of the a la carte restaurants) Bars: only a beach bar and a main bar ... the resort could really use another bar somewhere the line ups where never overly long but another bar on the resort would go a long way the "get it yourself" water station at each bar is great!! Shows: they start at 930 pm with an awards presentation from the days activities.. it was too late for us and our 5 year old so we didn't catch any

The overall resort was great. It wasn't 5 star, but we knew that going in. It had some nicer rooms, but because we had kids, they had put us in the older rooms and our room needed some small maintenance. The food was great, drinks were plentiful and it was a blast for my family and our friends.

The Resort is not fancy, it is clean, the food is good and the staff are friendly. The Beach is beautiful and you can walk for kilometres. There are activities daily which include water aerobics, yoga, darts and other games. I enjoyed archery.

Lukewarm food to cool. Never got any extras as a group of 16. Ie. preferential checkin etc. Very confusing checkin at the resort. Confusion overall the week. Inconsistent on replacement of eg. Towels.

When you go to a resort on the o cean you expect too swim in the ocean, at Wyndham this was almost imposible, the rocks and chunks of coral started at the waters edge and continued out about six feet. Even wearing water shoes, people were falling and finding it very difficult to reach the sandybottom. Everyone I spoke to on the beach were very disappointed,also having cruise ship customers come unto the resort caused long wait times for lunch and supper, people staying h allow them seven days or longer should have wrist bands which allow them easyer axcess to the amenites.We swam mainly in the pool which was great, but we came to swim in the ocean.

Resort was very good as far as food availability beach unusable without water shoes. Staff treat you in the restaurant like your bothering them no smile no conversation and everything is self serve even your coffee in the morning. Now let’s talk about the check in unbelievable we arrived at the same time a cruise ship 2 and1/2 hours to get in the front of line only to be told come back 3 o’clock and go through same thing

I loved this resort it was nice the food was great. There is a fridge in the room but they do not stock it ( that is ok as the snack bar is open all the time) You get a complimentary bottle of water on check in which we did not get. There is a lot to do on the resort. The only thing is that there is no duty free at the airport so buy on the plane. if you need to get anything there is a market place but it was a cost of $30 USA to go there ( 2 people) other than that great!!!

the grounds clean and beautiful the rooms are clean and comfort the people very friendly the food very good and lots of food to pick from i would go again back in a heartbeat the weather was beautiful very hot with little rain wow the beach is very white sand and clean great trip.
