This is our second year staying at Henry Morgan resort. We stayed in a beach view room which was clean but very minimal . The people above us were very noisy starting at 5 am. Food was plentiful but repetitive. The resort needs upgrading and a facelift as it’s not a cheap resort to stay at for 2 weeks. The main complaint is the noisey music which plays all day at the beach. You can’t read or talk due to the loud music which is repetitive. Music continues from 8-11 pm every day . Entertainment is geared to kids and not adults. George the hospitality manager is great as well as the dining, beach and housekeeping staff. The beach and ocean are amazing. I will not be returning due to the above issues. Also west jet is awful. Small plane with very little leg room and delays returning back to Toronto due to waiting for late people to board. Also beach lounges are very old and uncomfortable. Many were broken ! The afternoon beach restaurant offers fried food every afternoon. Would be nice if healthier choices were available.

This vacation was a vacation from Hell. Our room was full of black mold. I was coughing for the whole two weeks. The food made us sick. Hot Food was cold . Cold food was at room temperature There was a variety of food If you dare to eat it, they brought a microwave to heat the food. The staff was good, they didn't speak English. The bar staff spoke good English. Sunwing did get the resort to clean the room. It is too late for our health to go between coughing and running, No toilet paper was allowed to go in the toilet.

This resort, to me, seems extremely large. We were in the newer rooms very close to the beach - L22 - and most activities including the restaurant. Most of the other rooms are quite some distance from the beach or pool. You wouldn’t want to forget anything. Overall I found the resort to be very LOUD with incessant announcements or music or pool activities. During the day approximately 5 to 15 people attended. At night it was more. To me the big selling feature of this hotel is the proximity to the reef and the ability to go snorkelling right off the beach.

Being a single guest, the staff took great care of me. The room and the main dining area very comfortable. Using the Mayan Dive Shop next door was easy. The activities of Henry Morgan and the Mayan Dive Shop blended easily.

Henry Morgan resort and staff excellent. Beach is gorgeous and island people very friendly. Resort food and rooms excellent.George the hospitality manager is amazing and always checking that everything meets our needs.Thanks to O’Neill travel advisor for a seamless travel experience.

First off let me say that the owners and staff are great. I was a little disappointed in the resort as a whole. It is old. It is not what you expect a resort to be in 2024. I would describe it as being cottage like. The entire structure is wood. The rooms are raised off the ground and walk ways are entirely wood. It's just like being on you back yard deck. The food is typical resort food but there are a variety of restaurants to choose from along the beach. Henry Morgan is midway along the beach. The beach is fantastic. Grass may wash up if there is a rough ocean. It's not the long stringy weed that you find in Mexico or Dominican. It wil be 6 inch grass. Not a problem. Roatan is a diver and snorkeling paradise. The coral reef guards the beach so big waves don't roll in. This resort is one of the shaded. The clientel are older retired people for the most part but there are still kids. The plumbing is old. We lost hot water after one day . I thought the housekeeping would catch that but they did not. I had to report it and it was corrected promptly. Get the beachside rooms otherwise you will walk the wood walk ways. Entertainment was really just kid oriented. But I did not observe entertainment anywhere else either. I will be back to Roatan but maybe try a different more modern facility. I expect I will pay more of course.

Hotel was clean staff very nice. Food was good but no ala carte restaurants which would of been nice. Entertainment seem to cater to Spanish people. Beautiful clear water great snorkeling. Beach chairs need upgrading but there is always room to sit. Overall I would say very good vacation.

This was my third visit to HM. The rooms were dated but clean. The room location was great and I enjoyed the vibe. The food was plentiful with many choices to provide variety. Loved the fresh fruit, salads and desserts. All staff were hard working, friendly and helpful. I greatly appreciated their efforts. I plan to return.

Henry Morgan Resort was great. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. Food was fabulous and that beach never disappoints. Hopefully I will be back next year as well. Thanks for always making our trip memorable.

Just finished 21 days at the Henry Morgan resort in Roatan. We stayed in the beachside rooms.This was our 8th visit to this resort and have been to Roatan 11 times. The first day was rain and the last day we had rain!! All the other days were beautiful and some days windy, but that helps with the heat and humidity. H.M. have completed a lot of renovations and plan on doing more. A few suggestions regarding renovations are: On the boardwalk, you have a 2x4 posts just nailed in. It should be 4x4 posts and bolted in, so when you lean on them, they don't colapased and you end up over the side. This happened to my husband. Mind you, he did have a few drinks in him. Require cushions for the beach loungers. When cruise ship clients come to the resort, the bar should always have 2 bartenders or a separate line for hotel guests. Beach side snack bar should serve french fries and fried fish. They need to change up the menu. It's always the same thing. Bbq beach party night would be a plus. Buffet food was not too bad. When you are tired of a buffet you can always go to the other restaurants on the beach. The entertainment crew work extremely hard. It's a very nice crew, but I think a break throughout the day would be nice. Sometimes, music is so loud that you can't even read or talk. Forget about having an afternoon nap, as my husband would say as too loud. Nightime music entertainers are loud as well. Mind you, they do put on an awesome show. So basically you are paying more for beachside rooms but they are very noisy rooms. Go figure? We do not believe H.M. would be as great if they didn't have George. He is the hospitality mgr, and that man knows how to do his job right. He is always asking if everything is ok and has an awesome smile on his face. The most friendliest mgr their. Mind you never met any other mgrs?? George goes above and beyond to ensure everyone feels special and is happy. As per covid protocol, hand sanitizers are everywhere, and staff serve most of the food and drinks. Sorry so long! Hope to see you next year if you keep the price reasonable!

Washroom need TLC, bathtub.the balcony need TLC, update garden .need add more flower in garden , walkway need new paint ,ffod are very good for 3 half Star resort,we would like to go back, people and services are very good, friendly environment

Yes this hotel is a little older and they are doing some renovations. The overall stay/experience was fabulous. This was our third time there and it never disappoints. The beach is stunning with crystal clear water and fish swimming all round. Walking the beach is a daily occurrence for sure. Buffet was adequate. If you couldn’t find anything to suit your palate, that’s on you. There are neighbouring restaurants if that suits you. Rooms are always clean. Drink are always cold and refreshing. And the sun never disappoints. Great place to relax. Definitely will be returning!!

The Henry Morgan was beautiful! The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was great and nothing compares to that beach. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. The hammocks and views from the balcony was a morning ritual. I wouldn’t have changed a thing and I will be going back !

HM is a 2.5 3 star hotel . Grounds need some work but feels like you are in small cottages. On the beach which is beautiful lots of lounge chairs . Food ok but not a lot of choices for the more health conscious. Staff are friendly and try to assist . Lots to see and do on island. Remember this is Central America diff than Mexico but a wonderful place to check out.

This was a great place to stay and good value for money. The staff was great. We stayed in one of the standard rooms, which apparently are one of the "older" rooms, but we got to see the newer ones and honestly liked ours better. The room was great, spacious, the bed was SO comfortable, balcony was a nice touch. Food was good, buffet doesn't have too much variety but we weren't there for the food and didn't mind it at all. Bar was limited, but good, had everything you need. We went for diving and loved every minute of it, the dive shop and team were fantastic. The only negative I have is that there is no free wifi anywhere on the resort, you have to pay for it for the week, per device. Prices were somewhat reasonable considering, so we got it. I unfortunately had some work to do while away that I couldn't avoid and one meeting I had to call in for. The wifi was really not good, very poor connection most of the time. If it was free, I wouldn't really care but since we paid for it, I would've expected a much better connection. Anyways, overall, great place to stay - we are already considering when we can return. But next time I will make sure I leave my work at home and won't bother with internet unless their connection improves.

This resort is terrific. Clean. Friendly people. Great food selection. Fantastic beach and clear water. The suite we had was so spacious you could probably live in it as a one bedroom apartment. Definitely going back.

Harry Morgan resort did not surprise me as I had low expectations going in. It’s a 3 star resort so food was hohum entertainment was poor rooms were nice. Maid service was just ok but for some reason they did not replenish drinkable water. Frequent power outages caused the A/C to turn off Having said all this though it was a diving holiday and the dive shop was excellent as well as the dive packages

The resort were excellent for a 3 star facility very rustic and clean. Balconies with hammocks with green views were very relaxing. Biggest complaint was that the food was not hot enough most of the time.

Rooms were decent and clean. Patio door very difficult to open, toilet was not flat to floor, would rock back and forth. Door key card very finicky, would erase if in proximity of any electronic device,mobile,iPad,etc. One choice of beer for all inclusive, any other you paid for. Cheap alcohol used for mixed drinks, lacked good taste. Food was decent, lots of saucy selections . Was not too keen on spaghetti and fish or shrimp . No yogurt. Service very good but had to steal utensils from other tables. Would warn friends about short comings of resort. It is updating ,but shows its age. No consistent hot water for shower. Diving was very well organized. Only thing missing was marine life!

Hotel is not all included. Not coffee not good drinks. The room was very clean but need to be repaired. Good service . Lovely workers .the dive was excellent. The food was very good but always the same

See below...dive short stolen and poor food. Bottom line, I enjoyed the company and the diving and had fun...but not the food and was not impressed when my dive shirt was stolen. Also the room leaked mosquitos.

The resort was beautiful, dated and in need of some TLC but comfortable. Some things like coffee maker in rooms and mini bar would rise the comfort level a little higher. The food was great , but had limited options. Possibly a second restaurant would go a long way . I personally found myself eating at local restaurants four of the seven days. But the best thing was TGI diving! Great people and great service.

From the moment you walk in you feel welcome by their amazing staff. The location of resort to the beautiful beach is less than a five minute walk. The resort offers a variety of activities for all age groups so everyone is satisfied. But to me the icing on the cake was the food. Perfect amount of flavour and overall a great experience

Sinon vous devrai payer 20$ US pour 14 café sur une carte..

Large resort and many rooms. If on upper units it can be noisy as you hear everyone walking around. Rooms are spacious and beds comfortable. A la cart is not very good so don't even attempt it. No wine with dinner and service terrible. Wine at buffet is not very good and when they do serve ypu wine it's in a plastic cup. What's with that? George, Jessica and Dennis go above and beyond. Excellent customer service! .

If you snorkel or dive you will love the reef. Get a ride out its wonderful. Oscar, one of the local boat trip organizers treated us great on 3 separate boat rides. One for half a day with plenty of booze and conch salsa for a very very reasonable price. There are some merchants on the beach but they are not at all pushy and many have wares you may want to purchase. The rooms are 3 star for sure but quiet and extremely clean. The beer choice is limited to strohs. If you want to see live music simply walk down the beach. The buffet is not great and 3 out of our group of 8 had problems that required a walk to the pharmacy for some poo pills. Every staff member was friendly and helpful. They fog to keep mosquitoes down once or twice a day. I sucks but only lasts a few minutes and is better than the alternative.

Hotel was clean and rooms were large. Great bed. Had problems with AC although they fixed it right away. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food was not so great. Only downside to this resort was the food,

The Henry Morgan Beach Resort is beautifully located in the heart of activities. This resort is rustic and has been here for many years...therefore, a dated. There is a charm about the rooms though. There is only one "a la carte" evening. The resort needs to do as other resorts have done and gone International night with different meals at night each night. By the end of the week the buffet had been pretty repetitive. A very clean resort and the people are genuine and friendly and speak English. Love that our flight was direct Montreal to Roatan. The coral reef is AMAZING!!!! We had all brought our snorkeling gear and enjoyed the reef each day. Excursions can be had for a nominal fee. A short water taxi ride to town and you're shopping and dining at great eateries.

Beach was awesome maybe the best I've been to. snorkeling and diving was very good.lots of chairs with lots of shade. staff were great. We had the economy rooms so they were cottage style with a balcony and hammocks which were used every night, not fancy but what we like because it was quiet. Food was buffet style and satisfactory. Cons are that the water in the room is smelly and not drinkable. lighting in the rooms was minimal. power goes out at 12am and 6am for a few minutes every day which resets the A/C and electronics which woke me up.

first of all this is a 3 star, staff very friendly,food was average but you could always find something to eat,very safe,nice beach, clean,overall a great place to visit ,great entertainment staff,i would go back again

Great beach with clear water and plenty of fish to swim with, lots of food choices at the buffet, friendly staff, clean rooms with hammocks to relax on, would prefer wall shower head over the one coming from the ceiling, Overall, great place to stay!

For the price....its standard...no perks....clean...no bugs...food is ok....people are great.snorkling right out side the door...no need for expensive tours....awesome beach.....this resort is right on the beach

Amazing snorkelling right from the beach or with the dive shop. Nice boardwalk runs through basic 2 story buildings. Our room was clean and freshly painted. Loved the canopy beds in the original section. Food is fine, but a little repetitive. Fresh fruit is available at every meal.

Ok place but beach way too crowded. Good food but needing more variety of entertainment. Rooms need updating but overall a good place Beach was packed with rows and rows of chairs like people sitting in a movie theatre.. but very beautiful place ✅

The staff they were amazing Andrea and her restaurant staff were absolutely professionals they were alert and so helpful. The food and service was exceptional. The staff at reception was quick to respond to whatever concerns we had. The animation team were great. They were a pleasure to be around. The dancers were a cool bunch. The nightly shows were out of this world. Special shout out to Waiters the cooks and of course Andrea. Dancers Javi Kenisha Jessica and Mansano. The beach was breathtaking. My only concern was the WiFi was not free and it wasn't available in our room.

Not bad resort except I did upgrade to serperior room in which had to pay. I did say close to beach. Upon my looking at resort map it was the furthest from beach. I had to ask to moved to which was said no rooms until later that night I asked and said had to pay more.. very not impressed

One great thing about this location is the stunning beach. The water is crystal blue! The staff at the Henry Morgan are amazing! The hotel does need some upgrades to their structure. Sammy and George you two rock! Thanks for all you did for us to add to our enjoyment of our vacation!

Had an awesome time....lots of things to do....best beach I’ve seen....water was amazing....staff was outstanding...definitely recommend this place 🌴🍷 Food was good....lobster and shrimp on Christmas Day was a surprising bonus...great New Year’s Eve party!

A little more rain at this time of year than in the new year. The hotel has grown over the last ten years, the food selection was good, the rooms comfortable and the beds easy to dream in! I look forward to return!

The hotel had a beautiful view, great employees and atmosphere. Food was good but repetitive. The rooms are great, with televisions cute decoration and air conditioning. Wifi could have been better and they could widen the variety of snacks and food. Overall great though awesome beach.

We fell in love with this resort the moment we got off the bus. It has such a good vibe. The staff is so friendly. The lobby and lounge areas are so colourful. Then we get to our room which was better than we ever expected. His and hers closets, hammocks on balcony! and we were lucky enough to have a king size bed and a vaulted ceiling! The dinning hall was great, such a huge variety of food and plenty of places to sit. The pool was great and cleaned every morning! We did check out the other pool near the back of the resort but found out it was only waist deep and there wasn't a pool side bar there until late in the afternoon. The beach is unbelievable and the water is so clear. There are security guards on the beach but they are so friendly, always saying good morning or afternoon! If I had to say anything negative about the resort, there was 1 very minor thing and I found that the beach chairs were always pushed right up close together each morning and it felt a little cramped. But we usually just removed one chair from the row each morning to free things up a bit. We are going back to this resort for Christmas and New Years!

I had the pleasure of traveling to Roatan last week and stayed at the Henry Morgan Resort. Although the hotel is a little dated the atmosphere and the people more than compensate for it. It is very clean and any thing we needed fixed it was done right away The food was excellent but a little repetitive which I know they are working on but the best thing was the beach and the snorkelling. I have never experienced such beauty and certainly hope to do so again If your a big diver or love to snorkel this is the place to go. Think of it as a big camping trip were you don't have to cook Cathy

The resort was nice for the price paid. We enjoyed the beach and pool. The room was fine with the exception of it not being clean at check-in. The food was okay but was very repetitive. By the end of our visit we could not face another buffet of pizza, pasta, pork and potatoes. I would also like note that the house red wine was bitter and tasted terrible. The wine in the "Winery" was significantly better but was not included in our all inclusive price.

Arrived on Jan.25 till Feb.5th. We knew this is still part of the rainy season so brought raincoats and we needed them. We didn't care we had fun anyways. (no snow to shovel) Problem with the rain was, they fogged with insecticide after the rain (at approx. 4-5 pm) when everyone was still enjoying the beach and pool area. Bad enough the smell and you could taste it. Would have been better to wait until the sun had set and the bar closed (6:00 pm). We stayed in the Pool Garden View rooms this time. This is the newest section of the hotel. It was great. Modern, clean and had its own pool for that section. Only problem is the rooms had no dresser to unpack your suitcase into. Had a good amount of hangers in stead of the usual 4 or 6 for 2 people to share. No phones, but we don't have the hotel do wake up calls, so no big deal. Other issue was that they always had WIFI in the lobby, as they have in previous years and is advertised on the Transat listing of the hotel. Not any more they were requesting $15.00 dollars US a day in order to receive the password. Needless to say we used our own provider. I love Roatan and would love to see it for many years to come...but the Henry Morgan Resort seems to have gone backwards in their Enviromental practices. 2 years ago they had plastic beach glasses to drink from at the bars and real glass for wine and pop etc. at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. But for some reason they now have paper Pepsi cups at the bars and at the restaurant. Well I do not know anyone who will drink wine out of a paper cup...and the plastic ones they did use for the wine are the cheap throw away dollar store type. Do not get me wrong as all in all, we love the hotel and the people are great. Love the choices at the buffet for all the meals. Just think that some things need to be addressed to make the Hotel a better place for all to enjoy. Roatan is a Natural preserve with the best of the coral reef to enjoy. I would love to see it stay that way, instead of turning into a garbage dump.

Believe all the negative things you have read about this resort - they are all very true!! Rooms are not clean, no hot water, plumbing issues every day, wifi is an extra charge, wine is terrible, limited selections of drinks. The only plus we’re the staff - they pleasantly deal with complaints all day . The resort manager is not willing to address any issues - has an excuse for everything!! Makes promises to upgrade rooms which he ultimately renages on. There are so many other lovely resorts in Roatan - go to one of those instead of the Henry Morgan!!

I now know that every negative I read about this resort was true. I was disappointed with all aspects of this resort except for the lovely, overworked service staff and of course the beach it is on. The customer service orientation seems to be to withhold and charge extra at any possible opportunity. Our treatment by the Manager left me feeling disrespected and certainly not that the guests are valued.

Transat The flight from Montreal to Roatan isn't that long, if you are coming from Toronto and then waiting on the plan for an hour before leaving Montreal it becomes a long flight. Those passengers with the extra 2.5 hours should be getting a meal included. Especially on our return flight which had multiple delays the total plane time was 9 hours. On the way down I made sure to buy food in the airport for the 7 hour flight, but the Roatan airport doesn't have many options and if our plane had left on time we would not have had time to buy food due to the extreme slow pace of the transat staff. This seems to be a common theme, Transat staff are not well trained in location. Last year in Mexico the staff checking our bag and doing our boarding passes was totally distracted by personal conversations and I had to point out mistakes she had made to ensure my bag made it home. This year the Roatan Transat team seemed as though it were everyone's first day. There were about 8 staff doing bags and passes and they all seemed confused by their job. Overall=poor. Not thrilled with Transat and I am considering looking at other options for next year. Henry Morgan Resort Service + cleanliness: Overall the Resort was nice enough. The staff were polite and helpful. The service was good. The entertainment staff were great and the shows were fun, specially the Sunday night couples competition, that was hilarious. The resort was clean. It could use with some touch ups here and there, some fresh paint and things like that, which I do believe they are working on. I heard they had worked on some of the older rooms so it is likely we were in one that just hadn't been updated yet. And they were building on to the back of the resort. I really appreciated that they didn't start any construction until later in the day so people could sleep in, I am a pretty light sleeper and our rooms was near the back so it was fairly close to the work. Overall=good Waterfront: The beach was beautiful! Unfortunately the wind changed direction part way through the week and was blowing from the North-West which made the ocean rough, and the beach stirred up and dirty, the wind blew in lots of garbage and debris; however staff were doing there best to clean it up. The main pool was also nice, we never got around to checking out the newer pool at the back. There were plenty of chairs and a small lunch buffet near the beach and pool (the fried chicken was amazing!) Overall=great (despite bad luck with weather) Food: The food was the one thing about the resort I didn't like. It was the same thing every meal. I did enjoy breakfast despite it being the same as I would switch between eggs, french toast, or the donuts. Lunch and dinner however really lost their appeal early on. There were really just 2 sauce/flavors that the meat was cooked in. And they seemed to just alternate which flavor was on the pork, chicken, or fish each night. I liked that they had all 3 meats each day but in the end everything just ended up tasting the same so part way through the week you got really sick of the flavor. Same with the pasta and potatoes. There was a pasta or lasagne with the same tomato sauce every meal. Each meal either had potatoes in the same flavor or fries each meal. The deserts were also all dry and tasted the same. I think a little more variety and a little more quality would go a long way. I also got horribly sick one night, not the usual travel diarrhoea, but painful vomitting, similar to food poisoning, and having spoken to some staff and other guests it sounds as though people get sick frequently. The a la carte, which is actually open to the public was very good. If I go back I will eat out at restaurants at least a few nights. Overall=poor Activities: Unfortunately due to poor weather we didn't get to try much (island tours, zip lining, snorkelling, west end town) I did however get to scuba dive. My boyfriends got to try scuba for free, they ran free trials on Tuesday on the beach. I thought that was really great and they had a sort of mini course you could do if you liked it that would have allowed him to come on a dive with me. I signed up for a 6 dive package. The sites were excellent! No surprise Roatan is considered a top dive location. The TGI dive crew located on resort were excellent. They listened to my apprehensions (after a poor experience last year in Mexico) and did everything they could to help me get comfortable. They worked with me to help me become a better diver. They were professional, safe, and charismatic. Having to rent most of my gear ment the dives ended up being pretty expensive by the time everything was totalled up. In future I might shop around more for prices (although I think they are pretty standard across Roatan) but I would definitely recommend diving with TGI. Overall= excellent Tripcentral: Just as in the past my experience with TripC was great. Friendly and easy. Staff were knowable and gave recommendations when it came to planning my trip. Overall=excellent

This resort was very simple, nothing extravagant however the food was very tasty, but much like the resort very simple. The rooms were basic but clean and the staff were super friendly and very helpful. There was a small leak during one very wild storm and the maintenance crew fixed it the very next day. The beds were comfy and everything was very clean. The beach was so beautiful it was unreal and staff made this an amaizing vacation. We had a great experience.

We love this resort. We have stayed many places in Roatan. This was our third trip to Henry Morgan. It just keeps getting better! Its not fancy, mind you. The food is delicious beyond belief which is the main reason we go. The second is the location A+++. The staff have been there for many years and are very happy and make the stay feel like home. I would NEVER stay anywhere again in Roatan. Make sure you call Alex for a great island experience while you are here. We have spent our holidays with him and his family 1-2 times per year for 15 years. 89120021 is his phone number while on the island. Almost any local will let you use their phone.

rooms were ok most, drinks served in dixie cups.there were no dinner plates just saucers.Food was the same most nights. power was out twice and the food by the pool was very poor, Nice beach but was crowded

This was the most beautiful amazing wonderful trip I have been on! I cannot wait to come back! The only thing I would have to say is that english was a language rawly used. And unfortunately I do not understand other languages. Nonetheless that certainly did not change the wonderful time I had. A WEEK WAS NOT LONG ENOUGH

The food was terrible.Bathroom was not very clean in room. Smell of sewer everywhere.Staff couldn't speak English so very hard to deal with. Girl that checked us in was rude. Roatan itself is beautiful but I would not stay at Henry Morgan Resort again.

This resort is overall pretty good. The beach is amazing and easily accessible for the Hotel. Food was good but not spectacular. Drinks need upgraded as the beer got old really fast and the juice used for mix was like Tang. Entertainment staff were rather annoying as they all ran around like kids playing all day. Entertaining themselves, not the guests. Friends were married there and there could have been more of a sense of urgency around set up of chairs etc. Wedding happened 40 minutes later than what was planned as a result. Island time is one thing but come on! That aside Roatan is a fantastic destination with so much to offer. I'd reccomend it to anyone.

Staff at the front desk were not at all friendly.The washroom was an eyesore with mould growing in the shower, didn't appear the washroom had been cleaned from last guest, to be fair when we called front desk a maid was sent right away to clean. The grounds were pretty but some leaks from the sewers as we walked along the boardwalk from rooms to lobby was pretty foul smelling.The common areas were kept clean and tidy.Food was enjoyable with varied menus and excellent and friendly service from the staff in the dining area.The beach was very clean with lots of lounges in the sun and in the shade with visible security, around the pool was a perfect setting with lounges and palm trees to laze under and the pool was very clean.These are a few observations of good and bad but I would not go back there nor would I recommend Henry Morgan to anybody.

Rooms were comfy and maintenance and cleaning staff were readily available and hardworking. The common areas were kept clean and organized. The resort run activities were fun and easy to participate in, if wanted. Front desk staff were helpful and friendly. However, the food left a lot to be desired. Not a lot of options and mostly the same food each day, running out of some common items (butter, bacon, cheese) at times. Food is a major part of vacationing so the resort food options were a disappointment. While the resort was nice enough and no major areas of concern, it also didn't leave much of an impression either. Would try a different resort if returning to area.

The hotel was good. Relaxing, laid back vibe which we enjoyed. We got married here bringing 57 total people. We did not get a nice room and the front desk manager did not do anything to get us (my fiancé and I) a nicer room and was rather rude. It would of been nice to of had better service considering the number of people we brought here, who would otherwise would of never considered this resort. The wedding coordinator wasn't very helpful on the wedding day and did not have the ceremony setup up and ready for our guests at the predetermined time and my guests ended up helping bring chairs and setting up! However we understand "island time" and weren't too upset. They fumigate twice a day and nobody thought it would be a good idea to hold off on our wedding day and they started spraying while we were trying to have pictures taken. The gentleman did not seem to be aware and stopped immediately upon our request and was very apologetic. Did not appear that any of the employees were informed of a wedding taking place! Lack of communication likely from the wedding corrodinator, we felt these details should of been taken care of! Otherwise we all had a great time at the resort and the remainder of the employees were all very happy and pleasure to deal with. The bartenders always smiling and friendly as well as housekeeping. I woud go back, just wouldn't plan an event here! The beach is amazing!

the beach was beautiful with amazing snorkelling a short swim away. The resort itself is a little older but well maintained with clean rooms , friendly staff accessible bars, good food, great seating areas in the sun or shade. The pool is great for kids.

I thought the beach and service was excellent how ever the building was kinda out dated and in need of some work. Wish they had a swim up bar. Overall had a great experience and enjoyed my week. Thank you!

The Resort is Rustic, old, needs updating. Having said that, the grounds were beautiful, the rooms and the hotel in general was very clean. The staff were very friendly. Bar closes too early. Entertainment was middle of the road................ The worst part I have to say is the food. I was very disappointed in the food, the same food almost every night, or different versions of the same food.

Roatan Honduras is a great place to visit. The Island has hills and great beaches and reefs. I stayed at the Henry Morgan resort whish is an ok place but getting a little dated. he staff was wonderful and the service was good. It is geared more towards the family set and if you are looking for a party spot this one does not do well in this category. All in is was just ok but not great.

We went here as part of a wedding party and had a great time. Thank you to every member of the staff, you all made our trip to Roatan very memorable. We had a great week away from the hustle and bustle of home.

The resort is simple no bells and whistles but clean rooms good service happy helpful staff good food great entertainment and a big thanks to the dive shop for bringing us simple snorkelers out with the dive group for epic adventures once is never enough thanks for making this a vacation to rember

This is the second time in two years for us to visit Henry Morgan resort and again we had a great time.We stayed in one of the Villas at the rear of the property. They are newer .The staff are very friendly and eager to please.Roatan seems to be gaining in popularity with the cruise lines,which makes for a very busy beach compared to last year. The owners are putting money into the property as evidenced by the new beach front rooms The snorkelling is fantastic for both novice and experienced.We can only imagine what the diving is like This resort is a little tired but very clean with more than adequate facilities.the beach is fantastic and cleaned daily making for a very safe swimming environment for all ages. We will be returning next year and cant wait.Thank You HR Resorts!!

This was a rustic and small resort located on a stunning beach . If you are looking for a no frills , quiet resort then this will be a good choice . Hotel does need a facelift . Food was decent . Location is great .

Rooms were clean, grounds were not so inviting, dark common area beyond reception, no bar area outside, only inside where dark and cloomy. Outside snack bar basic, not overly inviting. Pool was cloudy. Wood decking extremely slippery especially for a tropical area. Construction all week from early in day into the night. Local beggers on beach were relentless....far too many and a constant in your face. If you wanted coffee in morning before 7 you had to pay for it, no coffee pot in rooms. Had to ask multiple times for items at front desk. Im not a fussy or demanding person at all.

great beaches, friendly staff at a somewhat tired resort WE were at the HM between 12th and 19th of December and have mixed feelings about the experience. WE had difficulty exchanging CDN money - not available at all except 50% exchange for US dollars! WE could not get small bills for our US dollars and Honduran Limparas were difficult to change into small bills. The rooms were very clean, the food was good in general, the staff for the most part were very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable and dedicated . The pool was a great size for doing our exercises, the decking around the pool and towards the beach was large and shaded from the sun. Lots of beach chairs. Took two trips which were both good and if one likes diving or snorkeling this is the place to be. The resort buildings are a bit on the tired size but repairs were ongoing. thanks

This hotel is dated and a bit tired - all of which would be fine if they had proper railings on stairs and in pool area. Guests are provided on arrival with a 500ml bottle of water which needs constant refilling in the lobby where there was always one of the jugs which was empty - this is a burden as room water is not drinkable and it is hot. The front desk staff were very surly around providing money conversion or any change. After many conversations they finally agreed through the manager to provide change for our group only. Hard to tip in these circumstances which seems counter productive. The grounds were sprayed twice a day which was needed as one was bitten often but this was also a concern re nature of spray!!! The ocean and sand are great as is the food (meals and beach bar),wine bar (extra to pay for decent wine and special coffees) and staff working in all of the above! We went on a day trip where staff were very informative and welcoming and got a discount on the glass bottom boat as well - both experiences are recommended.

Henry Morgan resort is rather rustic but has an amazing beach. Staff is friendly. Food is well prepared with a nice but not overwhelming variety. Rooms are clean but not comfortable being poorly lit and uncomfortable chairs. Lobby is very dim and it is difficult to see in the evening. Nice winery bar with good wines and coffe for reasonable extra charge. Good value if well priced.

Fantastic Time Location,location,location ,what a place , with a great vibe. And great people all around. We spent two weeks there and we were still sad to leave. Everyone that we talked to while there also loved the place. Some days(rainy season) we just ate and hung out swinging in the hammocks (so relaxing).Other days , just hop in a water taxi and check out West end or a beautiful walk down the beach and snorkel till your hearts content. The food was good , the rooms were clean and the people I found very trustworthy. My only negative review would be the bathrooms. They really need to bring them up to date.

This was our third time in Roatan and our second time at Henry Morgan. The staff is great, very friendly, and super accommodating. They are constantly cleaning. The hotel is basic and a little rustic, as are most in the area. The food was great with a good selection. We took the daily walking tours, since the sea was a little rough, and found them to be informative and fun. We plan on returning again.

This was a nice hotel. The staff was attentive and helpful. The bed was as hard as a brick! The food was ok. The location is perfect, there are tons of beach chairs. We had a great time and would definitely return.

The hotel is slowly upgrading which is good. New features would be the wine bar and the beach bar. The food is still very plain and lacking in variety. The staff is unbelievable and makes u forget the rest. George should be the manager of the entire property. He is the best in customer service I have ever seen.

the staff was great the rooms are basic but very clean the food was good there is only a few problems with this resort no coffee in morning till 7 and only in buffet the alcohol is served from 11 till 11 have a beach bar that is not included in all inclusive the beach is beautiful and lots to do

Perfect size. Food was good, not great, but lots of restaurants along the beach for variety. Friendly staff. Great snorkelling off the beach and through the associated dive shop. Will consider coming back

Different than your typical all-inclusive! Right in all of the action, with a beautiful beach. A little rustic so don't expect anything fancy! Amazing snorkeling right off the beach with lots of restaurants and activities nearby!

The hotel was great! It had a nice pool area, great beach, the rooms were nice and the hammocks on the porch in the back were a favorite spot for us to go relax and enjoy a book or the sounds of jungle! The dining room was nice with a good selection of food (the chocolate croissants were amazing) and plenty of variety for beverages. The entertainment staff was also phenemonal! Everyday they had something planned and were there to make your vacation as enjoyable as possible.We would definitely come back to this resort again!

Super resort.Not too big. Great location. Snorkellers and divers NIRVANA. Good food. Friendly and helpful staff.Rooms are clean and comfortable. The nightlife is there for the partiers,but if you just want to relax you can do that too.Dive shop staff are awesome.

Amazing beach! Crystal clear water. Now I know why it is such a diving magnet. Excellent location. Hotel is basic but not too bad. Food was just OK. Rooms are rustic but clean and OK as well. Beds are good.

This was my 3rd time at Henry Morgan, I love where the hotel is situated but few things I don't especially like Meal hours are too short especially dinner from 6:30-8:30 if you show up at 8:15, there isn't much food left. Wifi should be free everywhere around the hotel and beach, FREE and not just in lobby.. Lobby is very very dark all the time ,needs more lighting Staff is fantastic and ready to help at all times Dive shop is the best, great dive masters and great service Rooms are clean all the time Bars only start serving alcohol at 11:00am and stop at 11:00 pm there should be 24/7 food and bar open somewhere in hotel They changed the emplacement of the beach bar restaurant to a small place between the beach and pool, not good and they made that restaurant a paying one...nobody ever goes there.... I think trip central should start offering other hotels like Mayan, Infinity etc.... All in all great trip but not sure I want to go back to this hotel...

I have been there 3 times but most probably the last time. They have made changes to the beach area which does not make sense. You need to pass a now paying restaurant to get to the newly made but totally outdated bathrooms which has no lights and no mirror plywood floors with holes in it. Not to secure. Beach restaurant has no more grilled food and the bar is very restricted in what they serve. You need to go to the dark reception bar to get a decent drink. Absolutely no lights there either. Meal times are also restricted with nothing to eat after they close. Since I have been there a total of 5 weeks within 11 months the manager Gael told us we could have free wifi for 2 weeks (which is free everywhere else on the island.) It happened that he cut it off after 5 days. After talking again to this rude man we did not get it back. All other employees are extremely friendly. The rooms are nice and very clean. The location is one of the best in West Bay with an amazing beach. The dive shop is top of the line with friendly staff. We go there for diving. The dive master Lindey and other diving staff took care of us like VIP. I enjoyed my stay there vacation is a journey and I accommodate fast but they made changes for the worst. They really need to update their resort to meet the 2015 services we get from other resort. The owner is too concerned with his other "money pit" hotel Media Luna in the middle of nowhere to concentrate on Henry Morgan. He should make wiser decisions because it is a great place. These comments should not be taken as negative but as constructive. If things changes in the future I might consider going back there. I would recommend this hotel for divers but advise them first at what to expect.

Henry Morgan was everything that we were expecting and more.This resort is smaller than we have stayed at in previous locations.We went to Roatan looking to get away from the Industrial,Commercialized resorts,we found it here really simple and rustic charm.The rooms are comfortable and clean,the food offers something for everyone.The staff are excellent,they work very hard in every aspect.The beach is awesome,snorkeling and diving Paradise.The ocean is crystal clear and calm,great for swimming.You can walk the beach all the way into town for shopping,or take a water taxi instead.We will be returning to the Henry Morgan in the future,Its our hidden gem in Paradise.

This hotel is rustic, if you want a 5 star go elsewhere... I loved this resort because it was a nice change from stuffy same ole same ole hotel rooms. Our room was always kept very clean and we had no problems with anything. The food on the resort was much better than I expected and being the picky eater I am I never had a problem finding something I liked. The only thing I would like to see changed at this resort is better wifi throughout the resort not just in the lobby and I think rye, baileys etc should be included along with their regular rum drinks. Staff are very friendly and work really hard. Beach is the nicest I have even been too.

The Henry Morgan was very clean and in good repair. The staff is quite friendly and multilingual. The food is of good quality. It gets a little repetitive after 8 days. The only thing that needs some improvement would be the towels, they are VERY thin.

Henry Morgan Resort in West Bay, Roatan is a great value all inclusive resort! Although somewhat dated, it's wooden, cottagy accommodations are clean and have hammock equipped balconies. The maid service is excellent and the beds comfortable. I was surprised by the excellent dining room service and food quality. All meals had ample variety and were very fresh. When you go to West Bay you go for the beautiful, active beach. The water is crystal clear and you can experience great snorkelling from the beach. Dotting the beachfront are multiple, reasonably priced bars and restaurants with live entertainment in the evening and happy hour in the afternoon. At Henry Morgan you'll experience a great holiday that won't break the bank! Highly recommended!

This resort is a little dated - not for someone who is looking for high end but that being said it was a most enjoyable stay. The resort is clean and staff friendly. Beautiful beach and rooms and view.

I'm not sure how Air Transat rates their hotels but they definitely need to re-think this one as a 4 star. It was a 2 star at best. They should warn you that you can't get food past 8pm or between 9am and 1130am. They should also tell you that the hotel treats towels like they are gold, you have to beg to get towels for the beach and rooms. The food was mediocre at best, I'm not sure what the chef does to the seafood but they really had the most unappealing way to display food i.e. on a mirror????. Come on! Lets be honest instead of selling this as what its not.

My hubby and I just came home from our second trip to Roatan. We stayed at the Henry Morgan this time and were so glad we did! Everything about the place is great!! Lots of food all day long. The beach grill at lunch cooks your enchiladas fresh for you while you watch and they are soooooo good!! Fantastic breakfast buffet with lots of bacon and omlette bar. Wonderful dinners cooked by Orlando who serves your pork loin up to you personally. The beach is lovely with tons of chairs. Lots of sun or shade. Lots of security on the beach too. We always felt safe and well looked after. The entertainment staff are without compare the best of anywhere we have ever been. Soooo much energy and so happy and friendly....loved them all!! Our room had everything we needed. Lots of hot water and great water pressure. Comfy bed and quiet air conditioner. Balcony with hammocks. It was perfect. It was our anniversary so we went off the resort for dinner to Beachers which is a quick walk up the beach and has the best shrimp cocktail and sea bass on the planet! They have a band on Sat. nights and it is a great party. Look for Lindy at Beachers. You can't miss him and he'll look after you. The very best part of course is the reef. Walk in the water, swim a bit and there it is. A whole other world right below you. Nothing compares to the things you see in the water. We will absolutely return to the Henry Morgan on Roatan and highly recommend it!!

The hotel is was to be expected. Went for diving and the dive shop was great. Staff was great, entertainment was not good.will go back to Roatan for diving but at different resort. Staff was great, food good but lots of repeats. Entertainer was was drab

Henry Morgan is a rustic resort but the food is outstanding and the beach/snorkelling are world class. This was my 2nd trip and I would recommend it and I would go again in a heartbeat. I also liked having a direct/non stop flight with a short transfer to the resort.

Rooms were great. Lovely view from our balcony. Nice and clean. The entertainment staff, food service staff and maids were wonderful. The front desk people were simply horrible - a bunch of useless grumps. This was a fun resort the way it was all adjoined by a raised boardwalk. Central to everything. We went on the zip line tour of gumbalimba park. The zip line guys were a hoot!! And the park tour guide was lovely. We have macaws ans monkeys all over us!! What fun!! We also took a private snorkeling tour in a little boat by the "yard man". It was the highlight!! The yard man knows his way around - we saw some pretty incredible stuff. It was just my family of 4 and another couple. Way beer than a big boat tour. All in all, we had an awesome time. Oh, and some of the best snorkeling was a short walk from the hotel beach. Convenient with kids!

Great beach vacation! Plenty of fun water activities; sea kayak and snorkeling on the reef just a short swim from the shore. Excellent beach; even watched a sunset wedding one day. Enough deck and shade around the pool when we needed a siesta. One evening, they had the whole dinner on the beach, with entertainment! Fun! Beach BBQ and dining room serve enough good food that we could not lose any weight, even with all the activities. Very comfortable, clean and quiet rooms away from the noise for a good sleep. This was my second time to Henry Morgan on Roatan. Dining room manager, George, was very helpful. ( Last time I visited, he was Jorge, but we still recognized each other.) I would go there again.
