Visit Pier 21 (admission included), a National Historic Site that was once Canada's ^front door^ to over a million immigrants, wartime evacuees, refugees, troops, war brides and their children. Explore the boutiques, pubs and cafés of Privateer's Wharf and Historic Properties, tour the Bluenose II (see the ^tails^ side of a Canadian dime for a picture of the Bluenose I). Get a terrific view of the city from the Halifax Citadel National Historic Site (admission included) and visit Yort Redoubt National Historic Site (admission included), a 200 year old fortification overlooking Halifax Harbour. Peggy's Cove is a small village with houses built right into the granite rock and a lighthouse overlooking the Atlantic. Return to Digby and board The Princess of Acadia ferry (pre-booked and included) across the Bay of Fundy, a narrow body of water that experiences some of the world's highest tides. | 5 | St. Andrews - St. John Before departing St. Andrews, visit the St. Andrews Blockhouse National Historic Site (admission included), a two storey structure of hand-hewn timbers, built to defend against American invasion. Take a scenic drive through New Brunswick's lovely farmland via Fredericton, twenty minutes outside the city is the King's Landing Historical Settlement (included). Then continue to Saint John - Canada's oldest city. Stop at Old City Market (admission included), a National Historic Site farmer's market that is the oldest Common Law Market in Canada. Take in Fundy National Park, especially the visitor centre with displays and information on marine life and the bay's amazing tides - take a beach walk. Your next stop is the Acadian Odyssey National Historic Site (admission included) and then Fort Beausejour National Historic Site (admission included).
