Our agents say ‘Aloha’ to Hawaii

When we say “agents who’ve been there,” we mean it!

Our tripcentral.ca travel agents recently returned from a trip to Hawaii so they can provide you with inside tips to make your stay in the island sun just perfect.

Jean Arseneau: We arrived at Royal Lahaina Resort, a great 4 star on Ka’anapali Beach in Maui about 45 minutes from the Kahului airport. We went on Trafalgar’s “Be My Guest Experience” to connect with locals on the farm. We also went to Haleakala National Park, whale watching, and took part in the famous Myths of Maui Luau. The Maui Craft Tour consisted of Maui Tropical Plantation, wine tasting, lunch at Surfing Goat Dairy, Hawaii Sea Spirits and Maui Brewing Co. Later, we experienced the Road to Hana on the Heavenly Hana Full Day Tour. Needless to say, Debbie and I both had a great time! This Island has some of the greatest excursions in the world and we both recommend Maui for couples and family alike. We rate this great Hawain destination 9 out of 10.

Kevin Dupuis: While in Hawaii, I really enjoyed the Haleakala Crater tour and the winding roads and hairpin turns going up the mountain. It was all worth the long drive once you arrived at the summit and saw the breathtaking views and amazing scenery. At 3055m it actually feels like you were floating in the sky. I would highly recommend this tour.

Nicolle Kirk: North Shore, Oahu was my favourite part of my DREAM trip! There’s a gorgeous coast line of beaches and food trucks – a MUST try . We visited the famous GIOVANNI’s and TED Bakery every morning! I tried surfing for the first time for 2 hours with Sea turtles swimming by! Sunsets everynight! Rent a jeep and tour the entire island on your own. There’s a true Hawaiian vibe – no hustle and bustle, we felt like we were living like the locals. The scenery is just out of this world! Love all the public beaches where you can camp out. Insider tip: petty theft is known, so always lock up your belongings! Locals don’t drive convertibles or jeeps so don’t leave the top down.

Jenn Black: I loved everything about Hawaii. The farms and flora were amazing. I loved that everything was close to our resort and would recommend Hawaii to anyone. It was very safe and the people were very friendly. The food was really good and the beach was amazing.

Carol Webber: If you’re visiting Maui you should not miss doing a tour of  Haleakala National Park. It was amazing. You are above the clouds and the view is out of this world.
