Love this Hotel. Food never disappoints, so much selection!! Service excellent. Grounds and beach beautiful!! Drinks were the best!! Amazing 24 hour bar and disco!!! So much fun!!will be retuning very soon.

Maybe it was the rude staff, who at one point told me to go to the store across the street for a bandaid… perhaps it was the floors in the room that were always slick; the air so damp, that my clothes never felt dry…maybe the lethargic service at the restaurants…or the swim-up bar so crammed with people, there wasn’t a hope in hell of ever getting to use it…. Whatever it was, two days in, we chose to forego our all-inclusive privileges, and seek out availability at the Atlantis. Riu is clearly right up a lot of people’s alley, hence it being busy. But we will not be back. Straight to the Atlantis for us next time.

I just got back from a lovely vacation in Bahamas. The RIU was nice. Grounds are very clean, people are nice. I think they could make a few improvements like the food selection at the buffet and improve the rooms a bit with comfortable beds and pillows. The mattress was so hard. The staff are wonderful as well, very gracious and go the extra mile for you. The beach is amazing!!

The service at this resort was by far the worst I’ve ever experienced and I’ve been to many resorts. Most of the staff acted like they didn’t want to be there. There were some staff members that were lovely but enough of the rude ones that effectively ruined the entire experience for us. We were constantly met with an attitude as if they were doing us a favour and that we were annoying them with our presence. The first interaction that left us scratching our heads was after we got to our room. There was a hole near the lock so we decided to ask the front desk if we can switch rooms. The man we spoke to was extremely rude and acted as if we were a huge inconvenience to him. My friend and I were nothing but polite and friendly. When I reminded him that we needed a room with two beds, he acted exasperated and said “Ok…Only if there is something available. If there isn’t, then…” then had his arms out and just looked at me. I was so surprised because it felt like he expected us to leave. I had to ask “Ok, can you please check for us?” He sighed again and then went back to his computer. We were able to switch rooms but were so shocked with that encounter. I’ve never even been treated like that at a McDonald’s, let alone a so-called 4-star resort. We were very confused as to why we were being treated this way. Regardless of the poor service and horrible attitude, we still tipped them. However, they would often take the tip without even looking at us. We were definitely not seeking a huge gesture of gratitude but a quick “thanks” or smile would have been common decency. No luck here. My friend and I were the only two Asians there but we really didn’t want to jump to conclusions as to why we were being treated this way. However this following incident made it hard to ignore. My friend was waiting at the bar near the pool for quite some time but was ignored. It wasn’t busy but the lady behind the bar (Naztada?Maztada? I couldn’t see her name tag well) pretended she didn’t see him. Then a white man walked up and she immediately took his order with a smile. This was honestly so upsetting to experience. Not everyone was rude, there were some lovely staff members (e.g the lady performing the PCR test and the a la carte waiters). But the majority of them were so awful to us that it left a terrible taste in our mouths. The food was mediocre and the resort was very small. The only good thing was the beautiful beach. Stay at the Warwick instead or splurge for Atlantis or Baha Mar. Anywhere but Riu. We will not be coming back ever.

This was our sixth stay at this hotel, always 4 days/3 nights. The hotel is perfect for a short getaway - not too far from the airport (and the flight is relatively short for a warm destination), not spread out so you don't waste your time roaming the grounds but go straight to the beach. Also, all the rooms have ocean view albeit a side view but still. It's nice to sleep with an open balcony to the sound of the ocean. Most of the staff were fantastic with rare exceptions. One of the sinks in our room was clogged when we moved in and this was promptly rectified after we called reception. We both agree that the food was better than the last time we visited two years ago. The variety is impressive. We even had our favourite octopus three times over four days. Fantastic quacamole with warm tortilla chips - yumm! We never bothered with a la carte restaurants as we don't want to waste our time waiting and have always been satisfied with the food at the buffet. We were mostly satisfied with the measures implemented by the hotel related to COVID-19. The masks are mandatory everywhere inside and at the outside bar and it is mostly enforced. The only problem, and it's quite a serious one, was that only two of the three elevators were operational and most of the times they were full, well over 4 persons limit. Thankfully, we were on the 4th floor and used the stairs most of the times. I don't know why they cannot fix the elevator. I know that it had been broken even before we arrived judging by the reviews. For Canadians - book your PCR test in advance using the app (you can scan QR code at the reception). Another negative thing and it's not the hotel but Sunwing's fault is that the bus to take people to the airport on Sunday is arranged for a ridiculously early time of 6 PM - for a 10:50 PM flight. It's a 25 minute ride to the airport. All people were outraged and lots of them including us took taxis. I remember that two years ago it was a 7 PM pickup. Still, overall we are happy with our short little getaway and would return. The beach, of course, is amazing - one of the most beautiful we've been to.

Amazing amazing resort- clean, very covid safe (masking/hand sanitizing was maintained and they have PCR tests at the hotel), staff was so friendly and attentive- this was exactly what I needed for a quick last minute vacation. Beach is beautiful, pool area is immaculate, food was good… cannot wait to go back.

Hotel needs better service, more elevators, a gift shop would be nice, needs entertainment and more variety of food. Rooms were nice and clean. Beds were uncomfortable and pillows need to be replaced. .

Hotel nicely appointed with comfortable furniture throughout all areas, fantastic large beach, fun infinity pool bar and adequate lounging/exercise main pool area. Super friendly helpful staff everywhere. Food and drinks are 4 star+ Entertainment could be stronger

Great location , beautiful beach .Staff is very friendly and helpful .The food is great with the various restaurants Joyces . Recommend this location to anybody for a relaxing week of R&R . For the first time in the Bahamas we were impressed with the clean surroundings in Nassau and in general a clean city .

The resort offered great value for the price we paid. I believe all room have ocean view. Food was much better than I expected. We ate at an a-la-carte restaurant for the 4 evenings we were there. Breakfast and lunch buffet provide ample options. Drinks were good. Beach was excellent. Clean sand and crystal clear water. Beware, it does get windy on this island and 2 of the 4 days you were not able to go in the water. Your neighboring Atlantis if you would like to gamble or go for a star bucks coffee. Overall good resort.

This hotel is very welcoming, friendly staff all around the resort. Visited between March 1st-5th-2020 The Resort offers great views of the Ocean from any room with a pool view. We were located on the 3rd floor overlooking the pool and the Ocean. The elevator was directly across the hall from our room, surprisingly we didn't hear anybody while in our room waiting for the elevator. In fact we heard more noise coming from the balcony. In our room we had a mini fridge which was topped up every day. Beer, pop & water also 4 varieties of liquor. We also had room service available 24/7, mostly sandwiches with potato chips(plain). Also, in our room we had a $25 US voucher for the casino at Atlantis among other coupons. (Although the catch was you had to spend $25 US to receive the voucher). The food was Delicious at the international Buffets numerous options available. The A La Carte's are based on a first come first serve basis (no reservations). Didn't bother with the Spa or Fitness centers. Beach is beautiful with a short walk to the Atlantis resort. Overall everything this Resort has to offer is less than a 5 minute walk, to our room, pool, buffets or A La Carte's, beach, bar, & disco, lobby. I spent more time at the coffee bar as they had a variety of desserts and sandwiches & coffee was delicious among my favorites in the Caribbean. We also booked a city tour through Sunwing. We had a blast visiting a variety of destinations ex: Fish markets/docks, straw market, rhum distillery, rhum cake factory and forts. We stopped for lunch at a local restaurant known as "Da Fish Fry" a highly recommend local dish in the Bahamas was the Conch Salad or Conch burger.

First time to the Bahamas - first time to a Riu hotel. The grounds, rooms, employees, and especially the food was first rate!! Cannot think of a single complaint in 7 days of being there. I would have no hesitation to go there again, and would definitely recommend the hotel to any friends thinking of going to the Bahamas

Paid for an upgraded superior suite, a couple of family members went with a Jr. Suite, ended up their suite was identical to ours with a better view & for considerably less money. In speaking with RIU Management, they suggested that this was an error on behalf of our travel agent. Also paid $240.00 for Premium Elite Plus Service; family members paid $200.00 & were given the exact same privileges including the $50.00 rebate per person if they filled out a questionnaire.

The only downfall that the six of us found was that the restaurants in the resort was too loud and noisy. Something should be done to reduce the noise level. I literally had to put ear plugs in my ears in two of the restaurants.

This hotel was amazing! From the food and drinks, to the gorgeous hotel and amazing staff. This is my 4th time to this resort and will keep coming back every year. The Rui is a first class hotel. The rooms are well decorated and clean. The restaurants offer a wide range of delicious foods, even in the buffets. The pool area is spacious and clean with a great swim up bar overlooking the beach. The beach only steps away has powder soft sand and plenty of space to sit with staff assisting you to get chairs. Overall a excellent experience and great value.

Met the General Manager and he is a great guy. Looks after the resort very well. Staff are nice and place is extremely clean and well run.Jackie (Jacqueline) in main buffet is the biggest asset to the place. All service staff should be trained by her.

Our Room was beautiful. Nice view of the beach. Food choice and quality was good. Service was excellent and very friendly. Drinks were strong and tasty. They kept the buffet open for our late evening arrival and opened it early for our early morning departure.

Hotel is at a great location on public Cabbage Beach, but it does get busy both from hotel users and locals (who walk the beach selling stuff). The Beach has beautiful soft sand, is cleaned every day and the ocean is so clear. Next door to Atlantis Resort. Easy to do a day trip downtown via Ferry 10 min walk away. Hotel rooms have a fusty smell but ok if you aren't in your room much. Food was good but hard to get a reservation for steakhouse unless you line up early in advance of it opening.

4 day stay, Thursday-Sunday, hotel was very clean, beach was spectacular, but wished you didn’t have to line up 1 hour before making reservations for the specialty restaurants. Room was beautiful (ocean front) but the pillows were horrible. Second time coming to this resort and will definitely return. Food at buffet was very good, not always hot as usual at a buffet.

We went to a Riu resort in Aruba in September of 2019 and absolutely loved everything about it, service, food absolutely amazing. When booking Bahamas, we thought, its a Riu will be amazing! Especially considering price. Nope. We had a late flight with Sunwing, arrived at the hotel Sunday, February 9th around 11:30 pm. Our flight back home was the following Sunday at 9:45PM. When we got to the hotel we were told late check out was on first come first serve basis. On Tuesday morning we asked about late check-out, we were told "Sorry nothing is available"..we asked again every day and got the same robotic response, all the while, we met another couple who got late checkout for 2PM vs 12PM only because they had a complaint every single day about service, cleanliness and other issues. After lots of complaining the resort gave them a 5PM checkout and we actually used their room to shower before leaving for our flight. The frustrating part about this is that there was no way the resort was full, they simply chose to not provide late check out to their guests and Sunwing is also to blame for not making these arrangements to begin with knowing that guests have a late flight. They expect you to check out at noon and then what? Go to the beach and get on a plane full of sand and sunscreen? Or the alternative is to waste the day lying around in which case you're better off with an early flight anyway! We expressed our concern to the Sunwing rep at the resort, they did not give a s**t. The hotel also mentioned our luggage would be locked in a room and we would have access during the day, well the luggages were out in the lobby anyone could go and say oh yeah that's my luggage and then gone! Moving along, the food at the buffet, let's just say I ate better in Cuba than here. There is no variety, every single day you're presented with the same dishes, rice, some kind of meat stew, pizza, bruschetta, burgers and hot dogs. There are no live pasta stations or grill stations like other resorts, this was a first for me, I've been to about 10 different resorts and they ALL provide grilling and pasta stations or some sort of daily dish that is the "feature" for that day. The jerk chicken they make by the pool was the best option, but you get sick of it, because again, same thing every single day. I am not a picky eater at all but the food was really really disappointing. The A La Cartes are a freaking disaster. They don't take reservations. People line up for the Steak house at 4:45/5pm!!!!!! They open at 6PM! Now here's the fun part. We managed to get a spot for the Steak house one of the days, actually happened to be Valentines Day, and while we were in there, we saw multiple people get turned down. The restaurant was literally half empty so we thought maybe there's guests with buzzers waiting to get called down. Didn't happen. We had dinner and left and the restaurant remained half empty (we got there for dinner at 7:30 pm). They turned people who wanted to enjoy a nice dinner away just because, saying "Sorry we're fully booked", meanwhile the place is empty, what the hell??? Entertainment at this resort is by far the worst I've ever seen. The Michael Jackson show had people leaving 10 minutes in. No offence to the performers/staff but 1) he looked nothing like Michael Jackson, which in comparison to other resorts was "interesting" and 2) he could not dance...they had a different guy come on stage to do the moonwalk to "Billie Jean"...Another night they had what they called a "White Party"...well nobody was wearing white because 1) it was not advertised and 2) it was INDOORS! All white parties I've been to in resorts are always either on the beach or by the pool. So yeah there was maybe 10 people wearing white and also it was not a party, nobody was dancing except for the entertainers, everyone was just at the bar and most people leave to go to the Atlantis, which is the only good thing about staying at this resort as you're a 5 minute walk from that amazing resort. After the "show" there is literally nothing to do at the resort so we would always walk over to the casino at Atlantis and tour around there and the premises. Staff - most of them are nice people I didn't really have any terrible experience, but not an exceptional one either. However, one of the couples that flew back with us went to breakfast at the buffet one morning, asked a lady for cutlery for their table, she pointed over at a different table and said "there's some there, get it yourself"...WOW! Talk about the audacity. This is the same couple that was awarded with the late check out, they really had a terrible experience this is just one of the things that happened to them. Another couple we met, also went for breakfast and asked to be seated outside in the small patio. One of the servers said, "Sorry we don't have enough staff to clean a table outside right now"...I was literally astonished. Beach - the beach is beautiful and water is amazing, however it does get rough, the first and last day we were there it was a red flag but other days was really nice its crystal clear, and very clean. I loved the Bahamas, but I absolutely disliked and was extremely disappointed with my experience at the Riu. I will not be returning to this resort. We met at least 20 other people coming back on the same flight as us that had the same and worst complaints, every person expressing their disappointment towards the hotel. When you pay so much money to be somewhere and get this kind of service, its really frustrating. And shame on Riu for not caring enough to make their guests experience more enjoyable. I would go back to the Bahamas, but surely would not stay here.

This hotel was amazing, staff was friendly and extremely helpful. The grounds were clean and beautiful. The restaurants were first class and the atmosphere was superb. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a relaxing holiday or a piece of paradise.

Great hotel service very good .Good choices of food and drink.Room was good could use a little work like new furniture but was comfortable.Maid service very good did great job cleaning room daily .Staff very helpful and pleasant.Would travel there again .

Overall it was a good trip. Good food. Good service. Good night club. Close to Atlantis for the casino and more nightlife. No complaints other than the lack of any substantial late night food. It’s an adult resort geared towards night time fun but doesn’t give any late night food, other than stale burgers and hotdogs that need to be microwaved.

The service was exceptional and everybody was so nice. The hotel room was clean. There was a big selection of food. The a la carte was first come first serve and often at 6 o’clock, there was no more seating left. The buffet was better than the restaurants with the exception of the steakhouse. The lobster was great. The bar/night club is 24 hours but on Saturday night the DJ left at 11:30 pm and there was no entertainment at all that night. There is not much in respect to entertainment at all. The beach was lovely but super packed and crowded.

This was a fantastic resort to escape to. My husband and I had a great time. The staff are friendly and so accommodating. The hotel is so clean And the beach was beautiful. The only negative feedback is the smell of the lobby. It is not because the lobby is not clean ,they are constantly scrubbing and polishing and visually it is beautiful. I do believe it is the water that they are using to clean with that has a sewage smell to it. There is no doubt about it that there is an odour when you enter the lobby and I believe it’s just what their unfiltered water smells like. The odour sometimes comes up the drain as well in the room. I think that if they were to put a deodorizer of some sort in the water that the cleaning with it would certainly make a difference. Overall a wonderful place to stay with this exception.

Four of us travelled to Bahamas for the first time and absolutely fell in love. the resort, rooms, food areas etc. were all super clean....thumbs up to the staff. The food was INCREDIBLE!!! We just couldn't eat enough of it.....eat eat eat:) The beach was breath taking, the water a perfect blue. We would all stay at the Riu Palace Paradise Island again....just longer next time. 3 nights definitely was not long enough. We fell in love with this resort and Paradise Island!

Second time here- food is great and awesome drinks and service! Really good for a large or small group trip. The rooms are perfect - clean, well stocked with all amenities and a great view both times.

Hotel was very nice n food is AMAZING!!! Service is good! Rooms r nice n clean!!! Location is very good as its beside Atlantis and shares a beach with Atlantis and is only 12min walk to Atlantis and Marine Village.

Clean hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Located right by the beach, one side facing Atlantis. Good variety of food, most of them are not warm enough. Room is clean and well maintained, but small in size. Pool and gym are very good.

We just got back from our 1 week stay and I have to say, I'm super disappointed. We were first in shock with the lack of value in our room we received when we paid more for a Junior Suite Superior Oceanview, hoax.... we were informed we were supposed to pay for a "Oceanfront" and were given a balcony that faced the pool, nowhere did we see an upgrade to "Oceanfront" when we booked. The hotel property is wide enough to fit a building and a pool, that is it. The beachfront is littered with locals trying to sell you drugs which was a huge shock. No privacy whatsoever. I decided to put a complaint in after the 100th time being asked if we wanted "smokie smokie or cocaine" and given attitude because we kept saying NO by the individual. We were being asked in front of RIU hotel staff no less. The female manager I spoke to appeared to be interested in getting the certain person off of the beach by calling the police, the male manager just stood there and said nothing. The police came and stood around for 20 minutes by the beach and left. We went back down soon after and guess who immediately met us on the beach.... "smokie smokie"!! Unbelievable. We found a cockroach in our bathroom the last day which was pretty much the final straw. I will never go back to this hotel. What a shame, the food was a little repetitive but great tasting, the staff for the most part were top notch, sooooo friendly and genuinely wanted to make sure your meal time was enjoyed. Jacky was the best hostess we came across by far so if you decide to chance this hotel, at least let her take care of you during your meals. Our trip was pretty much summed up when my girlfriend said she wished we just went back to Cuba this time. Now no offence to Cuba, because I love that place. But Cuba and the Bahamas should never compare, especially when you're paying close to double the cost for your Bahama experience. The value you receive here is simply not worth the money you spend..... PERIOD!!!

Hotel and all areas were in excellent shape. Staff were awesome and always polite. Food was first class and they made sure you were happy. Service was fantastic. Friendliest staff I have ever experienced.

Clean. Beautiful rooms. Heated pools. Amazing staff..good food.beautiful beach. What more could you ask for? Enjoyed the location and the little things like the coffee bar and fridge in our room. Will be back. Check in and check out were easy.

The riu here has been renovated but is still pretty dated and is nothing spectacular. Rooms are clean, highly recommend an ocean FRONT room on a high floor. The food is pretty standard buffet all inclusive, wouldn’t recommend if you’re looking for high end luxury but a good choice if you want a cheap short getaway with all meals included.

We had higher expectations of this hotel. We’ve stayed at other Riu hotels and found this one had no warmth. The service was brutal at the buffet. Constantly waiting for coffee refills. We couldn’t get a reservation for any of the a-la-carte restaurants, and our room smelled musty. The thermostat didn’t work and our room was constantly cold. The safe had to be repaired twice. Our maid was great and made sure we had extra towels and extra water, but that was about the only positive experience we had. We spent most of our time at Atlantis and ended up eating there too.

The hotel was clean, the staff were friendly and helpful. We were very impressed with the food. The only thing was that the music was very loud coming from the swim up bar. We loved the 24 hour room service!

Hotel was beautiful Water was too wavy didn’t get to go into the ocean , the wheather was bad though only one day of sunshine when we were there . Food and staff were great ! What was great though was that the Atlantis was right next door so we walked over there every night for the casino and the bars . One thing that can be improved was that you should be able to make a reservation for the restaurant the night before . All the restaurants will be booked up if your don’t line starting at 5:30 pm . The buffet for dinner was out of this world amazing ! Good Heaven ! Lots of variety in the food !

The resort itself is a decent size. The heated pool made up for the cooler weather we experienced during our stay. We had a few problems with our room, the in room safe didn’t work, the TV remote wasn’t responsive and finally a problem with the door to our room, where the access card would not work and we had to be relocated to a different room on our second night. The second room had a ceiling vent that was uneven and exposed all the pipes and wires. Even though we got a new room, we still had to get our cards reprogrammed 3-4 times per day, which was quite annoying. The worst was that we had complained and requested to speak with the manager, who did not have the decency to come speak with us regarding the inconvenience. The staff seemed unenthusiastic, and not very friendly. The room service menu was disappointed along with the late night food options and availability. It would have been nice if the manager made themselves available for a chat rather than avoiding us, I’m sure we would have a better experience if the manager acknowledged the issues and offered a simple apology. Compared to other resorts we have visited in the Caribbean, we didn’t feel the staff was hospitable.

Hotel wasn't as bigged as it looked like in the pictures. Beach is very clean and the water is amazing. The pool is also really great. The alcohol is amazing but the night life is not. Very close to Atlantis which does have great nightlife. Fun activities happening everyday throughout the day at the resort. The staff is amazing and food is pretty good. Spa treatments are way too expensive.

Loved everything about the resort. Great food, amazing staff and clean resort. I would definitely recommend this resort to others and I would definitely come back to the same resort. We had lots of fun.

This was our 4th time at the RIU and we always enjoy our stay. Everyone is amazing. The grounds are beautifully manicured. The beach is great and the ocean brilliant. The rooms are clean and the food is delicious. I wish they would bring back making reservations at the restaurants though. I’m not a fan of standing in line for 45 minutes. We will definitely return!

Second time we've stayed there. The hotel has been totally renovated and looks amazing. The grounds are well tended with two large pools, and the beach is beautiful. The food at the buffet as well as at the restaurants is very good and the service is spectacular. Definitely coming back again!!

I wanted a quick getaway only 4 nights and the Riu was a perfect place. Staff are friendly, rooms are clean. Shower was amazing and bathrobes are nice and comfy. The food was fantastic. The beach is amazing! Would definitely go back!

Hello, We wanted to share our experience with you about our recent 4-day vacation to RIU Bahamas. We travelled with 7 friends from November 21st to 25, 2019. Before we left for our vacation, we were reading the reviews for this resort and most were very good but it did mention that the Junior Ocean Suite would not accommodate 3 people as described. We brought this issue forward to our Trip Central travel agent – but were very disappointed with her reply. We went thru a travel agent because they are supposed to experience firsthand the resort and provide their input. Unfortunately, all we received was “exactly what was in the brochure/on-line” it says that the room would accommodate 3 people fine. We also paid more than our friends who shared the standard ocean view room as a double. The travel agent also told us that we three are paying more because we had a larger room. Upon arriving at the resort, the staff at the RIU were fabulous. Immediately after providing our name to the reception desk they advised us that the room would be “very tight” for three people and we could upgrade to the “family suite” for an additional fee. Terry at the Front Reception was excellent. She understood our concerns and she wanted to help us. She suggested that we go and view both rooms and then decide. Well the Junior Suite Ocean view was definitely smaller. It was the same size as our friends’ room. Therefore, we had to once again pay an additional fee. What should have occurred was that our Travel Agent should have immediately suggested to all seven of us travelling that we should reserve TWO family suites. The family suites could accommodate all 7 of us very comfortably (4 in one and 3 in the other). Needless to say, we will never be using this agent again, as she did not look out for our best interest. The RIU Bahamas resort was fabulous --- the staff went out of their way to be helpful. The food was great everywhere from the a-la-carte restaurants to buffets. The grounds were very clean and well maintained. The beach/pool were very nice, especially the infinity pool. In the end after paying a significant amount MORE our room was nice too. We would recommend the family suite to any party of 3 or more. If we had any complaints – very minor one would be the bus ride back to the airport on our way home. There were 4 buses to take all the passengers to the airport and then there was a cube van which transported ALL the luggage. It was very strange not to have our luggage travel with you. When we arrived at the airport – it was a little overwhelming for everyone to try to find their luggage as they were being taken off the cube van. Thank you, Rita, Liz and Sonia

The RIU is in a very nice location. The view is beautiful from our balcony. The friendly staff is always willing to meet your needs. Delicious food and drinks are always available. The comfortable room is great for relaxing in.

This is a really lovely compact all inclusive hotel. The whole place is very well kept and clean. In addition, I found that all the staff were welcoming, friendly, obliging, and very grateful in accepting tips - unlike a lot of other all inclusive resorts in the Caribbean where staff expect tips for everything and are surly if they don't receive them. The rooms are a good size and there are always loungers available by the pools. The poolside bbq of jerk chicken for lunch was absolutely delicious. The food in general was very, very good with a lot of variety. However, the system of booking the special restaurants needs a rethink on reservations. I think that Sunwing is at fault here. They should hand out a paper upon arrival of the dates and times that each of the special restaurants are available. No one on vacation wants to line up at 5:30 for a special restaurant to be told they only accept the first 50 people in line. I was lucky enough to get in at the Steak Restaurant and the lobster was fantastic. For night life, being right next door to the Atlantis has its advantages. Besides gambling, there are bars, a movie theatre and a comedy club available at the Atlantis. For a quick, five day four night holiday, I would definitely go back to this hotel in Nassau.

Hotel has become more of a party destination... had to change our room because being in the middle of a 50th or 40th bday gathering . Two double beds side by side suck and the pillows even with 4 each were really bad , woke up stiff and sore every morning. Staff is still amazing !! Food was good, spa massage was very nice 👍

Hubby and I had a great time at the Riu! The service, the staff, everything was great! The performers at the nightly shows were very entertaining. My only complaint is I wish there was a package for 4 days instead of 4 nights! We are planning our next trip back!

what a difference since we last visited this resort. really beautiful hotel. rooms nice and large and spotless. food good, drink large selection. pools good. staff great. only thing i didn't like was no reservations for dinner, had to line up every night or use the buffet.

Well my wife and I really enjoyed the Bahamas. The water and beaches there are amazing! But this is suppose to be about the resort. This is not a resort it’s a hotel on the beach with a heated bath water temperature pool and small crowded swim up bar next to it. The drinks were extremely strong and the bartenders were okay at best. The beach has way to many pan handlers: jet skis, banana boats, hair braiding, turtles, smokes parasailing, snorkeling, park boats.... I need not go on ... it was a little much felt kinda uncomfortable constantly being asked. But hey the water and beach are beautiful. The night entertainment was brutal... the lip sync shows were brutal, there was no Authentic dances or music just awkward erotic dances. The restaurants open at 6:30 and at the 2-3 that are good there have a line start 5:45 ish and there is no way to make reservation.... so we spent 45 minutes in line to make sure we can get a spot at the restaurant (and spots are limited so if your at the end of the line at 6:30 you find out the restaurant you waiting for half an hour is full and hope you get in somewhere else or your stuck at the buffet) BUT there is a light, the service at the restaurant and the food at 3 out of the 4 sit down non buffet restaurants was awesome! The rooms were small but okay views and the bathrooms were nice. No bath tub which was upsetting but overall a good 7/10 just because the food, service, views and ocean were great. Would consider going somewhere in the Bahamas just not this hotel on the beach.

First day they gave us a room with a king size bed and there was my husband, daughter and me. They only offered to separate the beds. We went to a sunwing representive and between them and hotel manager they offered us a family suite but at a cost. Almost everyday they ran out of something everyday such as alcohol etc. Just a handful of staff were friendly. No comparison to the Riu in Aruba. They were a twelve out of ten!! We even tried room service one day and did not have the food item we ordered but the next day they did but didn’t have another food item we ordered on the second day. The icing on the cake was when we went to line up 45 minutes earlier to get into the steakhouse for the 6:30 sitting we didn’t get in due to a prebooked party of 20. I went to the person in charge of the hotel to complain and told them I have paid to come to this resort, you should put your private parties in a separate room and not take away from the other guests at that resort. The hotel was clean and up to date.The beach and ocean was amazing!! So especially regarding the room situation they should of given us the family suite at no cost. We are very disappointed with all of this. Would I recommend this hotel, my true answer is depending on the day one day yes and on another day no

Our experience started out not so great- the check-in process at this particular hotel is not good to say the least- took us two hours to get our room- I should mention we got to the hotel at 10:20pm- but once we got checked into our room the experience was very good. Excellent food, polite and courteous staff, always saying hello and eager to answer questions. The entertainment was not so good- hopefully they are working on this- but Calypso bar was always hopping with people. The jerk shack by the pool was excellent, and the food on the buffet was so good we didn’t even try one of the a la cartes. We always found a lounger whenever we looked for one by the beach or the pool... no matter the time of the day. We did some excursions and we were impressed with the experience of both excursions, however the Sunwing rep could have offered more information to us about the trips off property so we would not have to research this ourselves. The room view was amazing with a view of the ocean, Atlantas and Nassau! Beautiful! Checkout went smoothly, with the exception of being told once we were on the bus and our bands had been cut off by the hotel that we were delayed by two hours- everything at the airport was closed as far as food was concerned- it would have been nice for the Riu to allow us to partake in a buffet before carting us off to the airport. Over all I would say our trip was awesome- with a few hiccups- not sure if this was Sunwing or Riu, but once we got past the issues we had a great vacation.

My husband and I have visited the Riu Paradise Island now 4 times and this time we went with a group of 14 people. Although the group made our time in Bahamas amazing, I was thoroughly disappointed with the resort this time around. Check-in was smooth however I paid for an "Oceanview Room" and I got one, if i went to the furthest corner of my balcony and turned my head all the way left. Had a great view of the fans and A/C units though. I complained to the Manager Terry who was super nice and tried to accommodate me by putting me up a few floors. It was better but still nothing to write home about. Terry was one of the nicer people we encountered on our vacation. We found in the past there were a few not so pleasant staff members of the Riu but this time we found that there were a only few nice, polite, happy people only. Keeping in mind that we were a group of 14, we had large drink orders at times with 2 or 3 of us going to the bar to grab everyone a drink. Kellon in the Calypso bar was super annoyed with a friend of mine (rolled eyes) and even said "Ok, is that it, i have a whole bar of people waiting". The pool bar was no different but we were spared the rude comment. At the buffet at lunch, a few servers were standing in the corner chatting, I literally had to pick up my own plates and as I started carrying them away someone came to take the off of me. We were never asked if we wanted top ups on our drinks, we asked for napkins which never came and ended up having to grab them ourselves. Only once they saw the tip on the table as we were leaving did 2 of them rush the table to clean up.....too late! In the past, we have also seen a greater entertainment team presence....there was none this time. Saw the same 2 girls a few times asking to play volleyball or water aerobics but that was it. We've also encountered theme nights at the buffet for dinner and this time there were none. It is way too frustrating to stand in line at an a la carte at 6:30 and not be guaranteed to eat at that time, often having to wait until 7:30/8:00 so theme nights would've been appreciated. Overall good time due to the company but I think I've officially retired from the Riu Paradise Island

Hotel was very clean and food was good. For adults only though, I found the disco, Calypso, closed pretty early. You would think music would be pumping longer and get the crowd going but that was not the case. I went with a big group, 14 of us, so we grabbed drinks at the bar, as it was 24 hours, and we hung out in the front and played our own music. For adults only, I just would expect more entertainment and fun but that is not the case. If you want to just relax, this is the place for you. Also, a couple of the bartenders were a little annoyed with our drink order but buddy, this is a 24 hour bar, what do you expect? Are we not supposed to order anything??? Don't get me wrong, most of them were great such as Marco and some others which I can't remember their names, but there were a couple that were not as friendly. All in all, we had a great time due to the company we were with.

Great beach, clean grounds, pools are warm. Food is hot and fresh the way it should be! good food. Steak house is good quality. wines off the menu are very reasonably priced if you wish to have a nice bottle above the house wine. Rooms are clean, good mattresses, not the best pillows, as with most hotels. Washrooms are clean and large with good layouts.

Solo female traveller. Very friendly staff. Nice updated resort. Great entertainment. Awesome entertaining staff. I came here to relax and enjoy the beach and the beach was incredible. Overall enjoyable experience!

The resort was alright for a few days. The rooms were nice and the hotel staff were attentive. The resort was on the beach and two seconds away from Atlantis. The resort had an average buffet and BBQ station. The a la carte restaurants required that you line up 45 mins to an hour before they open so you can get a seat. The food was not very good. The pool was nice but music was very loud at all times so reading by the pool wasn't a great option. When it rained the only place inside the resort to go was the bar, which had some shows at night. There was not a lot to do if the weather was poor. The resort wasn't really anything special and I certainly wouldn't want to stay there more than a few days.

The resort was very clean and the staff were SO Nice, however, it was definitely lacking on the entertainment... by that I mean just having things for us to do in general. No casino, games room, events, etc. I felt like we were being pushed to go to Atlantis when we would have rather stayed on the resort. The food was OK. Very underwhelming. Also, there was often no food available except for some hamburgers and hot dogs left in a fridge (for who knows how long..) in the calypso bar. The coffee at the calypso bar was amazing and the drinks were definitely not watered down like I’ve noticed at other resorts. Overall it was a good stay for 3 days, however, I wouldn’t have wanted to spend a full week or more there.

Our stay at the Riu was good. The hospitality was impeccable, the staff really want to get to know you and what you’re about so they can recommend fun stuff for you to do on the island. The beach is great, pools are too shallow for my liking but still fun. Entertainment is just a bit lacking so be prepared to do a lot of drinking, or spend nights at Atlantis which is just a short walk away. Depending on how busy the resort is, you may not get to eat at the restaurants, people are already lining up an hour before they start service, the buffet food is good though! Now that I know what it’s like, I may come back!

We did a 5 day celebration at the Riu Palace Bahamas arriving on September 8th. The hotel is gorgeous and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The beach is amazing. We went to Atlantis (literally right next door) several times to gamble and shop. After 9 pm the aquarium is open to the public at no fee. My only complaint would be that this is the only all-inclusive where you have to line up for the alacart restaurants, no reservations allowed. Overall, I would return in a heart beat :-)

Beautiful place to enjoy the ocean The food was great..The staff were always so helpful and friendly..A great place to relax and enjoy the entertainment at the pool and evenings!! Rooms are clean and comfortable. Fridge well stocked with enjoyable beverages.

We enjoyed our stay at the Riu. Pools were fantastic. Bathrooms were clean. Drinks were great. Restaurants were good, but they don't take reservations. You need to show up at about 6:00 and you will be seated if they have room or come to the 2nd seating at 8...I think it was. The buffet had the same things everyday for breakfast lunch and dinner. We really liked the jerk chicken which was an outdoor restaurant that had chicken rice and veggies every day. This was delicious. Also Capucino was great for coffees and desserts. We enjoyed our coffee here! Our room was on the 15th floor. It was freezing cold when we got there. It was set at 15degrees. We had issues with the a/c the whole stay. The floors were always moist. Not sure how to explaine it. At night I was cold with the a/c off. Room was not my favourite place. They came o fix the a/c and it seemed to fix the wet floors for a bit, but it didn't fix the problem. Floors were always moist! Loved the place but the hotel room not so much Also on the safety side of things. We found broken glass on the beach right next to our chairs one morning. Thank goodness no one stepped on it.....we removed it from the sand and notified someone to come clean it or remove that part of the sand from the beach area. Someone did come, but he was scattering the sand all around. Maybe he didnt understand us!!! They shouldn't allow glass onto the beach area. There was always someone at the entry way telling you to put a shirt on as soon as you entered the building. They should have someone telling people no glass on the beach as soon as you enter the beach area.

Beach: best beach I’ve been to (I’ve been to Cuba, Jamaica and Mexico) Hotel: absolutely gorgeous. Clean and well air conditioned. Food: amazing food! Even the buffet food was great. Customer service: the workers were all super nice and pleasant. Overall, the best all inclusive I’ve been to!

This was my first time at an all inclusive and I absolutely loved it. The food was great, a wide selection of restaurants and the jerk chicken station was amazing and freshly served! The beach was beautiful and the staff service was exceptional.

The beach is beautiful, everything is so close by to the resort. Lots of restaurants to choose from and the buffet was always delicious. Our favourite was the little cafe. The service at the resort is great.

The resort exceeded my expectations with its cleanliness and mostly friendly and accommodating service. Everything was close together, only steps away from the beach. The hotel property had an intimate feel but a grand appearance. You never felt crowded or rushed and options for food, activities, fun or relaxing were plenty.

Friendly staff and great facilities. Beach and location was also perfect. Enough restaurants to try different food every day. The infinity pool and swim up bar were great as well. Very close to the city center and excursions.

We just visited Bahamas for a birthday with 5 couples and the resort was amazing. Clean, friendly, the beach was breath taking. Everything on the menu was great..... no complaints on the food and their jerk chicken fell off the bone. It’s right next door to Atlantis which made it easy to travel and keep busy at night. Not a party resort..... but the pool area during the day is a lot of fun with the entertainment team. The staff are very friendly and make sure everyone is taken care of. Definitely a resort I will recommend.

We just returned from a vacation at the RIU Palace Paradise Island 🌴 in the Bahamas. This hotel has been renovated. Everything looks new, gorgeous lobby, great, clean rooms, amazing infinity pool & swim up bar. The food was delicious & the buffet had a great selection. Can’t reserve A La Carte, 1st come 1st serve.

From start to finish we had a great vacation! No complaints can’t wait to go back. Food great. Beach great. Service good, sometimes seemed under staffed. Did not do any excursions but did go to Atlantis. Wondered though grounds and went to casino. It was nice.

Beach and location can't be beat however the service at this RIU is not up to the other RIU standards. We had to call multiple times for service, and could not make it into the sit down restaurants as they always told us they were full. Room view was of the parking lot and very very tight balconies. I called for room service one night and they didn't even show up. We book a junior suite ocean view and did not get that.

The hotel was great. Nice renovations in the rooms, lobby, restaurants and gym. Very clean. Good food. There is an damp odor in the lobby and the no bathroom in the gym. Also no showers if we have late check out. We were forced to pay the added fee to keep our room longer if we want to enjoy the beach the rest of the day.

The hotel was great and perfect location. Keep getting power failure and had to operate on generator which was not strong enough for air conditioner, so most night were very hit without the air. Also had to line up for one hour for restaurants for dinners.

Grounds were so tidy and resort employees were always willing to help. We felt so welcomed at the riu palace paradise island and we will be back. The food was also delicious and lots of options to choose from.

Went here for my honeymoon and the resort was amazing! Great staff, clean, yummy food, beautiful beach and pools. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation! We will definitely be back here

Thanks to Candice Anger for all her help with our Bahamas trip! The Riu was a great hotel, all inclusive, the food, beach, pool and resort does not disappoint! I would definitely recommend for a four day getaway!

Relatively small resort. The close proximity to Atlantis and all-inclusive package were the biggest factors in our decision to stay here. We have stayed at Riu hotels in the past (Mexico, Costa Rica) and have not been disappointed. This location however, was not on par with our expectations of the Riu chain. The hotel was very clean, but the food was just ok - excellent produce and salad bar, but hot foods were nothing to rave about. A la carte restaurants were an absolute joke. We tried three out of four specialty restaurants at this resort, one of which we actually walked out on because the service was abysmal. Save yourself the time and disappointment, just go to the buffet, or order room service - seriously, you’ll get a way better meal. The service in general at this hotel had a moody, lazy vibe. No one really goes above and beyond, and bar/restaurant service is slow. Tipping doesn’t even seem to make a difference. After staying here, it makes sense now why this isn’t classed as a 5-star like other Riu Palace resorts. All in all, I would probably go back and/recommend to friends only because of the convenience and value. The food in Bahamas is expensive and everything has 12% VAT and 15% gratuity added on. Prices get pretty ridiculous - like $20 USD for two ice cream cones, $20 USD for a boxed salad, etc.

It was clean, the staff was great, the food was excellent, the beach was fantastic, I can’t say anything wrong about this resort I would definitely go back, the shopping in the city was close by , the night life was excellent casino was amazing

Riu never disappoints. Perfect place to go if you want to relax but If you wish to party the staff will truly put effort. Whether it’s the staff at buffets, bars or the beach they are so accommodating & kind! We were a group of 4 girls on a girls trip and we had a blast! Thank you all for an amazing time! ❤️

We've been twice at this resort before renovation and twice after. This is a perfect fit for us as all amenities are compactly located (reception, lounge, restaurants, bars) and there is a vast beach. We love it because we love to walk on the beach and to swim in the ocean. We could not care less about the pools. The room was nice with a bed that my husband called Emperor size. The cleaning staff was very nice and accommodating. There are liquor dispensers in the room and we had nice gin and tonics before dinner every night. The food was good with a variety of dishes for every taste - we love healthier food and we always had something to choose from. Thankfully, they adjusted the temperature in the main dining buffet restaurant - it was very pleasant. Last November it was arctic which was very uncomfortable. We love this hotel and would go there again. The only drawback is that the prices are going up enormously.

food and dinning is fantastic. beach and pools(2) are spectacular. services and cleanness is top notch. All inclusive!! and Adults only!! What really makes this 5 star is the beautiful location, cause its all about the location,location,location. Rite on the beach of Paradise Island facing the ocean all the amenities close by or short taxi. Fantastic resort and location!!

Even though the a/c was not functioning for 2 days it was quickly resolved. The rain shower in bathroom was not fixed. The restaurants were very good, staff were very helpful and friendly. We went on tour of Nassau through Sunwing and not impressed. Not necessary to drive through the ship yard or the Hospital parking lot. Would have been nice to see more forts, the bat cave.

Very elegant hotel, with great food. The buffet was such a good variety. They could use a wider variety on their outdoor grill, such as fries burgers and hotdogs, although the Jerk chicken was delicious!

Nice hotel, excellent beach. No permanent shades on the beach, no swiming in front of the hotel when is windy . Sunwing representative didn't leave any note about the last day transfer, no book to check bus leaving time :( Great , warm swimming pool. Overall , not bad.

My son and I finally had an opportunity to make our way beyond the states and what a great experience that was. Apart from our flight being delayed by 6 hrs on our way there, the trip was great! From arrival at the resort to departure we had an awesome time! The room was clean, staff were pleasant and the food was great! I would definitely make my way back there for a quick recharge trip!

The resort was clean and pool was kept clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Jacquie in the buffet dining room was fabulous!!! She was so nice really makes you feel good to be having dinner in her area. The food was really good. Room was huge we upgraded no problem but the air wasn't working great all week however it wasn't unbearable. I usually like cold but I was ok with the temp. Other than that fabulous place.

It was good but had higher expectations of the resort. Had a room with a very poor view . Asked for a different room wasn’t able to be accommodated. Staff was a bit rude compared to other resorts I’ve been to in the past

Very clean resort. Good selection of food to choose from. Lunch and Dinner buffet was different everyday. Al la carte was good Negative: 1. this is an adult only hotel however the cruise guests and children make themselves at home and sit next to Rui guests. 2. No bathrooms near the buffet restaurants they are located opposite end.

We loved our stay at Riu Palace in Bahamas! It is an excellent Hotel! 1 - Very clean. The staff does an excellent job to keep everything clean! They are always cleaning the outside floor around the pool, bar and beach access. Also collecting any garbages during all day. 2 - Staff is very nice, the waiters are amazing! Always smiling and ready to assist you. 3 - We could get drinks at the pool bar at any time and no problem to stay at the bar pool. 3 - The hotel has great entertainments everyday. 4 - Rooms are very nice and quiet. 5 - Food and drinks are wonderful. 6 - No problem at all to go to the a La Carte restaurants. Did not wait too much! 7 - The beach is gorgeous! 8 - The pools are heated. They are awesome! 9 - Way to go! Thanks Riu Palace, we had an incredible vacation!

I will point out the only 2 negative. The beds are too soft; for me. Secondly, the junior suite ocean view is not actually a suite, its a room with a small table and 2 chairs. The balcony is tight. The suite I thought we booked is called a superior junior suite! The restaurants were fantastic especially the Krystal. Hotel was renovated in 2017. Staff are so nice ALL of them! Although, people are selling items on the beach, if you politely say no thank you they go away. Not like in mexico where they harass the heck out of you. Look for Big John on the beach for an incredible foot massage and entertainment lol I'd go back to Riu in a heart beat!!! Also Tripcentral was amazing to book with - better than Selloff vacations who I previously booked with. Great job Tripcentral :)

The resort is located on a beautifully kept beach. Lots of loungers and staff available to set up the loungers and umbrellas. The resort itself is clean and staff are friendly. The buffet was not the best, the quality wasn’t that great. The a la cartes do not take reservations, which resulted in my husband and I not getting into the steakhouse the night that we tried, the restaurant opened at 6:30 pm and by 7:30 pm they weren’t taking anyone else. The Japanese and Crystal Fusion restaurants were very good, four courses and excellent quality. There are a lot of great spaces to sit and relax within the resort, definitely not crowded or difficult to find a lounger, table or couch. The cappuccino bar was nice. We weren’t happy with our view from our room. Oceanview is variable and our first room was on a lower floor with a direct view of a rooftop with a loud air conditioner sounding noise and from the corner you could see the ocean. We contacted our travel agent and we were moved to a better view. We did notice that many people around us weren’t tipping staff which was surprising and disappointing, especially in the a la carte restaurants that provide excellent service and have multiple courses. Overall, it was a relaxing getaway. Not sure I sure would do a 7 day stay, 4 was enough given the size of the resort.

I found the hotel and grounds very clean,the staff very friendly.The food was good.It was nice being an adults only resort.Just a little small,not much to do in the evening.The beach got quite crowded during the day,so if you got there later,it was hard to get a spot or chairs.

We have been to the Riu for the past 6 years, since the renovations of adult only and previously. The resort always was great, good food, friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms, etc. This time around I can't say the same, the staff was very unfriendly and not attentive at all in the restaurants. Your dishes could pile up and they wouldn't come over to clean them. You would ask for a drink and they seemed bothered about it. The dinner buffet was the exact same food every night. The breakfast and lunch was good but no food change. The weather unfortunately wasn't good which has never happened to us before in Bahamas, they said it was the first in 40 years to have a cold front this time of year. Given the weather situation you would think the staff would care to have maybe some extra smiles and have some entertainment happening but no nothing. Needless to say I think we will not be going back to this property again, also when you needed a taxi from the resort no one from the Riu would help, so basically every day the prices were different and one staff member had the nerve to say well then walk if u don't like the price. Bahamas is a wonderful island but the staff and their attitude killed the trip. This is coming from a person who loves her Bahamas trips and loved the Riu.

A well maintained property with staff that pay attention to detail. The rooms are well appointed, clean and comfortable. The food is plentiful and tasty. The buffet always has a good variety of options and we enjoyed eating there. We celebrated my birthday at the Steak restaurant and the food and service were exceptional. We enjoyed the entertainment in the evening, especially the Michael Jackson tribute and even found ourselves in the nightclub for an evening drink.

My husband and I spent 4 days at the Riu, Nassau March 3-7. Fantastic beach and hotel. Staff were all friendly and the service was very good - from the room service, restaurant and bar tenders . We didn't make it to the a la carte's but the buffet and outdoor grill were very good. Lots of options at the buffet and different each night. Nice quick walk over to the Atlantis, the Marina at the Atlantis and the Craft Market. Will definitely recommend.

My wife and I had a great time at this resort. Our experience was that Staff attitude always positive, service solid, the food was great for an all-inclusive, beach and water was just amazing, we didn’t use the pool much since its warm water pool and the beach is just awesome. The outside technically has only one bar and at times it could be very busy and hard to get a drink. It’s an adult only resort, smoking is allowed on the premise outside, as in everywhere around the pool, the bar, etc. The restaurants are first come first server so guests may need to plan ahead to get a spot, as some of the restaurants may sell out for a night after meeting a quota.

While doing our research for this trip we found there were a lot of mixed reviews for this property. Compared to other islands we have visited, this is more like an all inclusive hotel, rather than resort. The property is small, but was very clean, (every day, all day there were people cleaning the lobby area, pool area, etc.). We found everyone at the hotel to be very friendly and the entertainment staff were great! The location is ideal, beautiful beach area- other reviews complained of people constantly trying to sell them things while on the beach. Our experience was vendors just walked by and if you didn't engage with them, they kept walking- not bothersome at all. The property is right next door to the Atlantis property which is very convenient. From the Riu you can also walk into town, it took us about 40 minutes. The restaurants do not accept reservations, which allows you to go to a different restaurant each night. We never found the wait long, they give you a buzzer and by the time you have a drink at the bar, your table is ready. Overall the only small thing we noticed was the lobby bar had a damp smell. Saying that, it didn't really interfere with our trip, it was our first time to the Bahamas and we loved the location of the hotel.

-the renovations were well done, though interesting to see the roof leaking -water on the floor in hallways and restaurants after the rain. -couldn't adjust the air conditioning in the room -was the blanket in the room washed? -the food was very good in the Atlantic and Steak restaurant -Krystal was also good, though disappointed when no coffee/cappuccino served -wondering why the switch to Adults only? -glad to see ramps in pool and to the beach

Beautiful motel style building, I prefer condo style. Food was amazing. 3 A la cartes which you have to wait in line as they don’t take reservations, but didn’t bother me, we would grab a drink at the bar and go socialize with people. The Atlantis next door is where we would go for entertainment at night as they have shopping, casino, huge fish aquarium and lots of other things to see. Staff were friendly. Pools were nice. Beautiful beach. I would recommend for sure. Rooms had a slight odor and I found a big bug in the bathroom ( we were on the ocean). One day our room did not get cleaned until 3PM. The king size bed is actually split down the middle which makes 2 beds put together which kinda puts a damper on snuggling.
