The property was nice. Pools are good, Rooms are nice. Good gym The issue we had was with the food - especially with the lack of food options during the day. The only coffee shop on the resort was off limited to us as we were at the Aquamarine and the coffee shop was only for those at the Ambar. So, machine coffee it is. The meals at the restaurants are OK, not great. Went to watch a World Cup football game at the sports bar, during the day. The place was empty except for the 4 booths at the very back that were full. This is because no one was allowed to site the big screen without reservations. That entire area was empty! Also, beer was $5 at the Sports Bar. The staff was polite but not friendly. I will not be returning to this resort.

We loved the resort grounds, the food, the people. Room was very dated but clean. The AC worked and toilet flushed. Entertainment was good but often ended early in the evening. Liked that it wasn’t crazy far from airport too.

This is a nice hotel. The room was great, not dated. Food was good even at the buffet restaurant. Beach was okay, except for the sea weeds. There was no problem getting a beach chair at the beach or the pool. The entertainment team was nice and the games were fun. The night shows were nice too.

The hotel was clean, the food was delicious, and the staff was kind (especially Santa the waitress in the main lobby bar/entertainment area who always took care of us). The beach however had a lot of seaweed, which the staff did their best to clean each day. The bathrooms in the hotel rooms were also in pretty bad shape and need renovations.

The hotel is well laid out grounds are well kept well lit at night. The rooms can do with a little touch up. Impressive buffet. And of course the Bavaro beach is wonderful. Would like to have seen better quality drinks served if the hotel is claiming to be a 5 star and not have your guest pay for them.

We enjoyed 10 days of zero rain during the day. From booking with Cindy, to the end the trip was flawless starting with the WestJet flight. We have been to four other GBP resorts and this one was fantastic. Beautiful Resort, grounds, rooms, and service. Great value.

The whole resort is so nice, so many places to walk. Food is fantastic, service was great as well. The only thing is if you want to go to the beach it’s a long walk or you wait for the trolley, which you might wait 10 to 15 minutes to get one.

Bahia Principe Aquamarine is an overall great resort. Staff are friendly and very accommodating. Lots of great dining options. Amazing beach and pool. A bit of walking within resort, which we enjoy and shuttle services readily available. Biggest downside is that the rooms are outdated and in need of a refresh and renovation. Overall clean, but our room had lampshades broken off fixtures, electric outlets pulled out of wall, missing shower tiles. We don’t spend much time in room, but a refresh at this resort is necessary. Overall, satisfied and would recommend the Aquamarine to others!

Beautiful looking resort but employees were not the friendliest. It took over 2 hours to check in 15 people. Employees at buffet were very not the friendliest and service at the tables was slow at times

The resort is huge since we also have access to the other connecting resorts. Sports bar at Ambar, self serve soft ice cream at Punta Cana and the beautiful village kind of in the middle of it all. I got lots of steps in during my stay! Staff are so friendly and very patient to let me practice my Spanish with them. Food was delicious at the buffet, the three A la cartes I had as well as the delicious hamburgers at the pool side grill. There are three pools with the middle one as the busy lively one. Entertainment at the pool was fantastic throughout the day. Only saw the one night show, Fire show, which was just wow! The beach is a little walk to get to but I didn’t mind. I prefer the pool anyway. The room was huge with a spacious bathroom. It was clean, no bugs. I chose upper level and was in building 83. Do choose poolside view. Only bad thing I have to say is that the bed is really really hard so I didn’t sleep well. I did ask for a pillow top which was so very thin but it helped a wee bit. I would still go back….I caught up on sleep this weekend!

The food is amazing, staff really helpful and really nice, nice room, cleaning staff did a good job, but where we were a bit noisy because of the loading dock of another resort. There was not much place at the beach, on top of having the Ambar guests taking our places at the beach…

This was approximately our 8th visit to Bahia Principe in Punta Cana. The last 5 times, exclusively to the Aquamarine section. The staff are friendly, courteous, approachable and available. Guest Services in Lobby 2 were very helpful. The rooms are beginning to look a little tired, but were clean and always ready by the time we returned from the beach. The food was good and plentiful. Restaurants we really enjoyed were the Limbo and Thali. Breakfast buffet has a lot to offer with friendly, attentive service. The lunch offered at the beach in the Los Olas building is a let down. Unfortunately, it allows everyone from the entire resort into this space and it is clearly not big enough or staffed well enough to handle the number of people for lunch. Tables were left dirty for long periods of time with no help in sight. I realize the option for us was to walk back to the Aquamarine buffet, but the entire reason for this destination is the beach....where we like to stay the entire day. Years ago, we were allowed to go to the Ambar beach restaurant, but no more. The beach itself is beautiful and well maintained. The section for Aquamarine guests is too small. Towels on loungers at 6 or 7 in the morning are the norm. We often saw too many of these "reserved" seats with nobody at them til late afternoon or only there for an hour or so. Obviously we like this place, but only wish the beach had it's own "adult only" restaurant and more space. Take some from Ambar...their side of the beach is underused.

Amazing buffet with a huge variety of items. Truly appreciated the fresh fish and seafood as well as the pasta bar. Beach was beautiful but seating was limited and restricted to a small area of beach. Staff wasn’t as friendly as other resorts but they were professional.

The Resort was beautiful but we found it a tad too big. The carts were easy to get to go to the beach. It was windy all week, so hard to say whether or not it was a good swimming beach as it was very rough all week. The food was great. The reservation system was terrible. The front hotel lobby check in staff were not very friendly or helpful. I like to be closer to the beach so the other resorts closer to the beach would be nice, but the Grand was very busy. So I've been here done it, probably wont do it again.

Check-in: fast, easy. We had a request for particular building due to a mobility issue and Jedulka was terrific in helping to accommodate. Rooms: excellent. Large, clean and very good bathrooms. Dining: ala carts were excellent although booking was a little difficult. But food was great. Buffets were very good too. Beaches: excellent. Lots of palapas...great sand, no need for water shoes. Some seaweed but beaches were racked daily. Customer service: Exceptional! Had a leak over our toilet, customer service came same day, fixed and followed to confirm there were no issues. Got locked out of mini safe, customer service showed up within 15 minutes. One day our room wasn't made up, we called later in the day and they showed up within 20 minutes. Pools: always chairs available. Music was a little repetitive but we were at the beach most of the time. Unfortunately pools were closed at 6pm daily for cleaning, which seemed a little early but the pols were definitely clean and in great shape. Value: terrific value for price. We'll definitely be back!!

Aquamarine was a lovely adults-only resort within Bahia Principe Grand. The pool was clean and alive with just the right amount of activity and and Bavaro Beach was stunning and only a 10 minute walk or quick ride on their resort transport. Having 7 à la cartes included was amazing and there were so many options to choose from. None of the restaurants disappointed and had good service and were beautifully decorated. The resort was clean and well maintained, our room was great. We will definitely be back.

I just returned from a week at this resort and was enjoying my time so much, I didn't want to leave. The staff are awesome, from the front lobby, motor lobby, cleaning staff, buffet staff, bar tenders and entertainment staff. Everyone was very helpful and ready to make our stay the best it could be. I can't wait to book another week. I have recommended this resort to a few people since I returned.

The second time to the Bahia Principe complex in Punta Cana and it was even better than the first time. We stayed 10 perfect weather days, the food was excellent and booked a different restaurant every night. The buffet and grill food spots at the beach and pool areas also excellent!! Never bored and staff are so very friendly and superb service providers.

We very much enjoyed this resort in totality. With so many a la carte options the food here was excellent. The buffet was very good, good pub food option at the Sports Bar, but we highly recommend the a la carte restaurant options for dinner. Our favourites were Flame, Portofino, Nomad, but all were very good (we booked 13 out of the 14 days). Poolside snack food shack was edible. When they cooked at the poolside the food was decent. Entertainment staff was excellent with our favourite two staff being Ray and Yefrannie. Very engaging and lots to do over the course of the day from learning the DR dances, to yoga, to "crazy" fun games in the afternoons. The evening shows and activities are excellent with our favourites being the Fire Show, the silent disco (so fun!) and the white party. The pool bar bartenders make excellent drinks with our favourite bartender Luis and our favourite poolside bartender server being Juan (he has so much happiness and energy!). It is a large resort and the public transportation cart system is an easy way to get around. The beach is a little walk and is beautiful. We live in an area of world class beaches, so we did not spend too much time at this beach. It is very busy but one of the best beaches we have seen in all of the Caribbean. The resort is clean, the restaurants beautiful. The rooms are clean, with some upkeep and updating issues. We experienced a few issues in our first room such as water pressure shower head issues, patio door not sliding properly issues, safe issues, and bar fridge door issues. We were able to switch rooms and all issues were gone. If you are looking for glamourous these rooms are not, however they were clean, comfortable, safe, and acceptable for the rest and relaxation we needed. Overall, we have travelled south a total of ten times. This resort was one of the tops for food and entertainment. The pool bar was excellent. The staff were all absolutely happy, attentive, engaging and amazing. If you are going for sun, drink, beach, socializing, food, "bang for your buck", this resort is for you. We would highly recommend to you. If you are going for glitz or glamourous rooms increase your budget and book elsewhere.

Pictures or nothing like the actual resort. Super dirty super smelly the staff is not pleasant or helpful at all. The rooms don’t even have cold water so you will have to shower in steaming, hot boiling water, towels are never being changed. Room service is not there either you have to pay for Them to fill your fridge as well as if you want to order anything for room service. Not to mention the disgusting cockroaches please save your money and do not book it.

Everything is great, prefect, cleaning and friendly. We stayed there for 7 nights, and enjoyed our time and very happy with everything. We recommend all restaurants except fish market and indian restaurants.

Bahia principe Aquamarine is part of a complex of resorts. The buffet was largely catered to the US cuisine with fresh eggs counter at breakfast- Irene was great! Rooms were a 3/5. However, you don't go there to stay in the rooms. The bathrooms don't have anywhere for humidity to go- so be prepared for that. Dinners: You have to reserve your dinners at the restaurant ahead of time or you will get a 10 Pm slot. We tried the Mexican 2/5- themed service was bad. They forgot our food and we waited for about 49 Minutes while others who came after us were served and offered drinks. The Japanese restaurant was the best.4/5, el Olivia Italian was ok, the salmon appetizer was the best, tuna not so much. 3/5 Be prepared for your orders to get mixed up a bit. Entertainment was really good. The pools were 5/5, away from the party scene at Bahia Punta Cana which you can access (family resort- too chaotic for us) You don't have access to Ambar, however I wouldn't pay more for this adult resort. You have to walk through this to get to the beach or take the tram which is every few minutes Drinks - G&T and mango daiquiri were the best. Local beer is light. Avoid the house red wine/ in this heat, it will taste like vinegar.

Second time in 6 months that we’ve gone to Aquamarine. We enjoy it quite a bit. Rooms are great and clean. Great food with lots of selection. Staff is friendly and helpful. We spent our time at the pool and had a fun relaxing time. Weather was great.

The hotel is very nice and clean very impressed with the food choices/restaurants. Our room was clean and towels and fridge replenished every day. Entertainment was pretty good. Wished we could have had some earlier dinners more popular restaurants were already booked so some later meals. The beach is the best…seaweed when we were there but time of the year. They cleaned up every day. Need a water boat with tractor to keep up with it lol Great to have the trolleys very nice insentive for this resort.

The rooms were very dated and the customer service was not the greatest. I had to go back multiple times to have my room switched to one that was ground level and even though we had booked double beds, we did not get double beds and each time we went back, it was all you have to come back to confirm. Oh, you’ve come back to confirm it seems like there was some kind of language barrier or they just didn’t wanna give us a room on the ground level we had to ask for housekeeping multiple times, but once we started leaving a few dollars tip, then everybody was showing interest in servicing us so really it’s I would say The the bars in the restaurant were OK. I honestly would say that the food at the buffet was better at the à la cart. The à la cart had extremely poor service. Nobody comes to check to say hey is everything OK? One day I had a choking episode and even at that they were not very attentive just different things like that. The fun part was the pool too bad that that there is no evening or night swim that would’ve made it better. The beds were very comfortable and once we had a tipped the housekeeper and the person that fills the bar fridge thing stuck to get a little bit better overall not bad would’ve appreciated a little better customer service and maybe a less outdated room.

Resort was well kept. Rooms where large and very clean. Fridge was stocked everyday and cleaned. Rooms where quiet and comfy. Restaurants including buffet where excellent. Food had lots of flavor and never left a meal hungry. Portofino the Italian restaurant was great with a nice atmosphere great service and quality food. Big pool was clean and had nothing but fun and relaxing days . Drinks where well made and tasty. Lobby was clean bar service was excellent and nightly entertainment was fun. And if you are at the pool Yorki the waiter went above and beyond for great service.

Definitely not a 5 star. This was a long-awaited family vacation. Since I was traveling with my adult son, I specifically requested a room with two beds. Upon arrival, we were given a room facing a brick wall, with a single king bed. The room was in noticeable need of renovation, as were many others we saw at the resort. The door was covered in dirty fingerprints, suggesting it hadn’t been cleaned properly. Additionally, the room had no electricity because there was no key card in the slot — meaning no lights or functioning air conditioning, even though it was 36°C outside. I immediately raised these concerns with the front desk. I was told there were no other rooms available, but I could move to the Ambar section for 50% off — an offer I declined. I reiterated that I had made a request for two beds well in advance. While I understand that special requests aren’t guaranteed, I didn’t feel I was asking for much. The front desk agent simply shrugged and said there was nothing he could do. I asked to speak with a manager, and was told the manager had left for the day. However, after explaining my situation further, someone — possibly the manager after all — was able to move us to a nicer pool-view room with two beds. While the rooms are spacious, the housekeeping left much to be desired. Since the water isn’t safe to drink, we had to keep requesting bottled water. There always seemed to be something missing: towels, face cloths, coffee creamers, coffee machine was never emptied and washed, etc. It’s understandable if something is forgotten once, but when you have to repeatedly ask throughout the week, it becomes frustrating. The resort itself is very large, and shuttles are necessary to get around. Unfortunately, they don’t come as often as advertised, and when they do, they’re often full. It takes patience to catch one you can actually board. The beach is beautiful but can be seaweedy at times. That said, the staff does an excellent job keeping it clean. However, the constant interruptions from beach vendors become tiring. While I respect that they are trying to earn a living, it gets irritating when asked repeatedly to purchase something after already declining. Particularly bothersome were the people with parrots who, without consent, place birds on you while trying to relax. That level of intrusion is simply unacceptable. Service at the Sports Bar is as nil. We asked to watch the Montreal Canadiens game and after 5 minutes it switched to the Toronto game. I guess their guests from Montreal are not worthy of watching their team. We asked them to switch it multiple times and it never was. The head bartender could not care less about servicing his guests. Spanish soaking guests received preferential treatment. The restaurants were average — nothing particularly memorable. The pool areas were clean, and the entertainment staff did a great job. In contrast, the staff at the beach towel hut seemed uninterested in helping and rarely smiled. It always seemed like we were interrupting his chit chat with another employee. Overall, most of the staff were kind, helpful, and pleasant — and their efforts were appreciated.

We stayed at the Bahia Principe Aquamarine, the hotel in itself was nice. The room we stayed in was the Junior King Suite. While the room was comfortable, the bathroom could use a bit of renovation. The tiles looked dingy and the shower door silicon edge kept falling off. The towels could use some changing as well. We enjoyed some of the entertainment offered, however they seem to cater more to the Spanish guest than the English speaking guest. I wished the DJ played more of different Genre of music, but they mostly played Latino music. The employees seem to not want to make an effort to speak or understand English at all. Another observation I had with the employees is that they seem to be more friendly and helpful to the Caucasian and Spanish guest than the Black guest. This was a huge disappointment. Overall we had a great anniversary getaway...which was not in anyway acknowledged by the hotel even though we mentioned it at check in and all throughout our stay. We probably won't be coming back to this particular resort or probably to the DR unfortunately.

This is our second time at this resort and we have no complaints. The food was excellent as usual and such a variety to choose from. The grounds are clean and so well maintained. Everyone is friendly and willing to help. The entertainers are amazing, never a dull moment.! We are looking forward to returning.

We go to all inclusive because of the beach, we care less about the pool. We did not enjoy the beach at all. Very disappointed because of the mountain of seaweed. We tried to go swim despite of and got itchy afterwards. The lock of our balcony door is broken. We told the air Transat representative but nobody came to fix. The air transat rep does not care because we did not get our tours with him. The bellboy who brought our luggage to our room seems to be not happy, checking out, we didn’t bother to get a bellboy, we did it on our own. Some staff are friendly and some just don’t care, you have to wait to get your water filled. We enjoyed 2 nights out of 7 of the night entertainment. The other five nights are catered for Latino’s. Our flight was delayed 7 hours without proper noticed. We could have stayed in our room and do a late check out instead of waiting in the lobby where it was really hot. The only thing we enjoyed was the quietness and the food.

The resort and country and beautiful. The staff are friendly and attentive to your needs. Smerlin at the poor bar did an amazing job all week and kept the delicious drinks flowing. The pools were nice and clean. Unfortunately during our stay the seagrass was very bad making the beach unusable but we are pool people anyways. The breakfast and lunch buffets were great but it felt like the dinner buffet was lacking. The al la carte meals were excellent but it was somewhat difficult to get a booking at some of the restaurants. The evening entertainment was great, we really enjoyed the circus show. The room was clean but we had a bad location with trucks coming and going and honking all hours of the day. This was my third stay at the Bahia Principe in Punta Cana and I would definitely go back to Aquamarine again.

The grounds was immaculate the landscape was really beautiful. The room was spacious the house keeping staff was friendly and helpful. The buffet was great I have to make special mention of Luis and crew they were magnificent. They know how to keep the guest happy.

OVERALL WE HAD A FANTASTIC VACATION AND CREATED SOME WONDERFUL MEMORIES.WOULD NOT HESTATE TO RECOMMEND TO FRIENDS AND FAMILY. WOULD SURELY VISIT AGAIN. THE RESORT TRULY DELIVERED AN EXCELLENT AND ENJOYABLE EXPERIENCE, MAKING IT A GREAT VALUE FOR THE PRICE. KUDOS TO JUAN,LUIS AT THE BUFFET.CARLOS DAILY ROOM SERVICE.

The food was incredible, the restaurants served meals quickly and they were delicious. The entertainment was amazing, along with the casino. I was very impressed with the disco as well, which was better in quality than most resorts I’ve visited.

Loved the a la carte options something for everyone. Pool staff were great. Room was excellent. The beach had a ton of seaweed but the staff were working hard to remove it. Loved our time we even convinced others to travel too

The grounds of this resort were beautiful and very clean . The resort staff worked very hard at keeping the grounds clean and well maintained. If we had an issue or request for something the staff would accommodate us quickly and efficiently. The buffet always had a great selection of food to eat .

The resort as a whole was very good. The staff were always pleasant and happy. The room was clean and well stocked, the pools were clean and always warm. The only draw back was the lack of lobby bar staff which created a longer wait for beverages

We have visited bahia Aquamarine twice and it has always exceeded expectations. Staff are very kind and friendly (every single one of them without exception). The beach is absolutely pristine with clear waters and clean sand. The pool is huge with a section that's quieter if you like or bumping by the pool bar. Entertainment is good. The buffet is excellent with something for everyone. The al la carte restaurants are hit or miss but you can always go back to the buffet. The rooms continue to be updated as we speak but are clean, well air conditioned. This is a choice place for adults looking for a beautiful getaway in Punta Cana.

the grounds are beautiful and well kept, however we were not impressed by the room. It need some care... especially the bath room. Every time you use the shower, lots of water spilled on the floor, making getting out of the tub very unsafe. just a half sheet of partition provide. the soaker tub was unusable, it drain could not be plugged, to be filled. The shower heads were not good at all, sprayed water every where with too much force. Even the hand held hose was not good. On the other hand , all the staff were accommodating and happy. willing to help.

I have been to many properties in Punta Cana, but this hotel was one I had not visited yet. Most of the staff are awesome, and the food was definitely good. I prefer smaller hotels, so I would not return to this property. It is really four different resorts in one, making it HUGE. My biggest complaint is the loud shouting and music around the main pool. We were on a couple's getaway, looking for a quieter atmosphere.

Great resort, great service, clean rooms, amazing food. Juan is a very good server at the pool. Good quality drinks. Entertainment is very good and interesting. We where there 3rd time, and plan to come again and again. Recommend this place to everyone!

We asked for 3 individual ocean view rooms, never got it, all 3 rooms faced a very loud service road, this resort is not near the beach, you have to take a shuttle to and from, only one swim up pool bar, all restaurants were very far apart and split amount 4 resorts and you had to shuttle to them, not fun after drinking all day, buffet food was left overs from the day prior, not enough pool side chairs at all and umbrellas, we do not recommend this resort, barrcello never again.

Our two-week stay was marred by the buffet's lack of variety, with identical offerings throughout. In contrast, Turquoisa and Grand Bahia had theme nights, outstanding buffet cuisine, and a wide selection. The a la carte restaurants were truly exceptional, warranting their 5-star rating, while room service was impressive. Miss Yaneiri maintained our room's cleanliness to a high standard. Regrettably, the room itself fell short of 5-star expectations, more closely aligning with 3.5-star accommodations, due to a broken door latch and recurring toilet issues. We experienced service desk issues, including a two missed water delivery. The resort's grounds were beautifully maintained, and entertainment options were enjoyable. Notably, we discovered transportation to the a la carte restaurants was available during our second week. Given our nine previous visits, we expected Aquamarine to surpass Turquoisa and Grand Bahia, considering the price paid.

Resort is well kept and the hotel was much the same, food was good at the buffet and some of the a la carte restaurants were on point. Would definitely step off the resort to experience some of the beautiful culture. The staff was very welcoming and accomodating. Overall a wonderful experience.

Beautiful resort, friendly helpful staff. The staff have the rooms and grounds very clean. Great variety of food. The only thing that I would change is to get a pool or resort view. We had a garden view and it was overlooking the bus depot/maintenance building that were picking up the resort workers. They were honking the horns of the busses even though the night. I would most definitely return to the Aquamarine but have a better placement of our room.

My stay was very relaxing experience, which was the total purpose of it all. The front desk customer relations representative, Miguel AKA Mike, was very helpful from the moment I checked in. Requested for a room upgrade, in front of the pool, and he was able to do it for me right then and there. Throughout my stay, if I needed something OR I had any questions/requests, he was the person I went to. Overall, my stay was awesome!

Enjoyed our stay at this resort. Buffet was outstanding. Ala carte restaurants were very difficult to book due to the fact there were only 14 restaurants to accommodate this massive chain of resorts. Other than that, rooms were very nice. Next visit will be the Ambar at Bahia principe. Right on the beach and best for activities and entertainment.

My trip was Dec 29-Jan 5/25, along with my two nieces. The complex is huge but there are always golf carts to take you to wherever you want on resort grounds. Food was great, whether it was buffet or a la carte. My niece has fish allergies but she was her own advocate and had a Spanish note to provide each food manager - each manager was prepared and on the ball! Lots of shops to poke about and buy trinkets/souvenirs. Room was dated but the fan and a/c worked all week. Maid service was adequate. We helped ourselves to clean towels from the linen room on our floor. The beach walks were the best! Our resort had a postage stamp area allocated for loungers. Not that wide but deep. It was quite crammed which isn't my style but hey, the weather was great and the beer was cold so it was all good! Catamaran excursion is definitely worth it and an afternoon visit to Chez Nicole is a must!

My husband and I stayed at the BP Grand Aquamarine in Punta Cana for 7 days Feb 20-27th 2025 and we would definitely return. I requested a ground floor room( no elevator) and got it without any issue. Our room was clean, very spacious, but slightly dated ( I’m not complaining though, it was a lovely room). The staff, overall, were friendly and gracious. The resort grounds were gorgeous. The walk to the beach was 10 mins from our room, but you can get a ride if you like. The evening entertainment was enjoyable, the staff created a fun, welcoming atmosphere. The buffet had lots of variety and very good. We did not have any issues with stomach upset. I highly recommend the following a la carte restaurants: The Fish Market, Thali Restaurant (Indian food), and the Gourmet restaurant in Ambar resort (you must try the Picasso cocktail). We also went to MEAT and Portofino Italian Restaurants they were good , the pizza was excellent at Portofino. I did not enjoy the food or wait staff at Mashua Restaurant. We were unable to get a reservation at the Mexican restaurant. We will eat there the next time we go to the Aquamarine Resort because we will absolutely be going back!!

Although I did not eat at any of the restaurants, I heard they were excellent. The buffet was very good, but the beverage service for morning coffee was hit and miss. The hotel is getting a little worn down and should be a 4 star at best.

The use of all of the resorts was nice. A little overwhelming as there are 6 resorts that for the most part were all accessible. The staff was amazing. The food was incredible and the rooms were big and comfortable. The only down fall was there was not enough loungers at the pool or beach for the amount of guests at the resort.

On the whole the resort was very clean although some of the rooms need updating and the food was very good. Staff were pleasant and many spoke some English. There were a lack of umbrellas by the pools and a resort of this caliber should have had a lot more of them as it was brutal sitting in the sun without some shade. Also more ordinary chairs should be placed by the pools as not everyone wants to lie on a lounge chair and sitting on them is not comfortable for many. The shower floors were very slippery with no hand bars to hold onto.

Very well organized and clean . Great staff at front desk and all around. Air Transat , as usual was great , although they damaged my wife’s suitcase which we have reported to them , and hopefully they will resolve soon . We would return there , as we were that pleased with the resort .

We had an amazing time at the Aquamarine. Everything was top notch EXCEPT the pool chairs. Was extremely annoying to be worried about our pool chairs. Mine were taken by your staff when I was at breakfast with my husband for a half hour. My friends were in the pool and their chairs were taken by the staff. The manager with the 2 long pigtails was extremely rude and did not listen to anything I was saying. She just kept saying, “I will take your chairs again if you are not there”. We paid a lot of money to come to your resort and it was upsetting to know our things were at risk of being taken away. We have never had this happen at any other resort. Perhaps more chairs are needed by the pool. Also more umbrellas as no shade available. Everything else was amazing. Pool was beautiful and your staff mostly very helpful. Oh and Juan was the BEST poolside waiter ever. Such zest for his job smiling and energetic all day long.

We had to change room 3 times! My Sister got really sick after eating a hamberger on the 1st night! The service at Fish House was really poor. After 90 minutes they served our entre before our Appetizer! The buffet at Bahia Principe Grand AQUAMARINE Was really good & staff was efficient & friendly!

Awesome!! Love the resort! Clean accommodation, wonderful staff, fun activities! Have been several times and plan to go back. Would recommend to family and friends. Thanks for a wonderful time!! Already miss being there!

We have stayed several times at this resort! It is always beautiful, clean and the people are awesome! The resort is large which we love because we can run without leaving the resort! The beach is amazing! You can walk for ever on the beautiful white sand beach! The a la cartes were wonderful! There is lots to do if you want or you can relax and just enjoy the sun at either one of the pools or the beach. Loved it!

The resort is very big we stayed at the aquamarine but there are several resorts all sharing the same property. If you like waking a lot this resort is for you. The size made it hard for staff to keep the grounds clean. There were cats everywhere and when walking throughout the resort you could smell cat urine. The rooms were kept clean. Because of the size it was a bit confusing about what areas were shared. The beds were pretty hard with very small pillows and basically a tablecloth for a bedsheet. The food was good in the restaurants that we were able to make reservations for. Reservations for the restaurants were hard to make for the times we wanted to eat, basically if you wanted to eat after 7pm it was easier to get a reservation but we like to eat earlier. The buffet didn’t open until 6:30pm so if it was open at like 5pm I’m sure it would be easier to make reservations for the restaurants. We had a sign in our room that said there was room service but when we scanned the QR code it only gave the menus for the restaurants and no room service menu was available. The times that the restaurants are open and closed at should be available with the menus on the website. There should also be an option to wait to get into the restaurant instead of having to make a reservation. The staff were friendly and nice, but no one seemed to be able to give any change. One day I had to ask at least 4 different staff members and went to the very front desk and no one was able to get me change so I just wasn’t able to tip much that day. I always had to walk to the very front desk that was further away to get change and sometimes they wouldn’t give me change there saying the change person wasn’t available. They defiantly don’t go out of their way to make you feel welcome or special in any-way most places have an upbeat welcome feel to them when you arrive, this wasn’t the case with this place at all the feeling I got was a very serious but got a little better the longer we were there. The beach was very crowded, there is a separate section that was less busy for the aquamarine guests but there was no wifi at that section. I defiantly wouldn’t say this is a 5 star resort it’s more of a 3.5 for me.

We have been to BP Ambar Bouganville Esmeralda and Aquamarine 7 different times. We wrote them asking for a certain room and to say it was our anniversary trip and got nothing while many people did. The resort is getting old and tired. Entertainment is good. At the buffet it was hard to find a clean table and for some reason never had teaspoons, had to ask. Food was ok not like it used to be before Covid. The lobby bar has 2 coffee machines with excellent choice of coffees. The lobby bar can get quite busy due to bartenders joking around and singing. It’s quite entertaining but not when there’s 20 people in line, I could see everyone getting frustrated. They used to put coasters under your drinks but I guess they cut back. Having a cold drink and water dripping from glass onto your clothes. Bring bug spray, came home with dozens of bites. I saw many people with bites.

Grounds were well kept. Pools clean and great entertainment staff. Food at Buffet was always good. Rooms very nice and spacious. Very big resort, so a fair bit of walking especially to get to ocean. Only issue I know of was a few people got sick out both ends. No top shelf liquor unless you pay way more

The resort, grounds, pool and beach are beautiful and well kept. The room was disappointing. It is dated, definitely some mold and needs some improvements. We enjoyed the restaurants and the employees were wonderful!

We enjoyed the resort although the room left a little to be desired. first of all the bathroom was never cleaned properly our entire stay, also the door to the toilet area made horrendous noise each time it was opened or closed. The living room curtains were impossible to open and the door itself had a broken handle and locking system and we had to get a handy man in to kind of repair it. The food at the buffet was just ok and we relied on the al la carte dining spots to get through our time there. all in all it was a better than ok spot to enjoy great weather atI would recommend it to friend

The resort was amazing, everything was really good, best vacation ever The rooms was properly cleaned every day, the good amazing and the shows spectacular I'll be there again as soon as I can Thanks guys

This resort is perfection. I am a picky person so need a very clean resort. This resort was very clean! From the rooms to the grounds, to the buffet to the pool area, everything was well maintained. Some things were a little dated but it didnt matter it was very clean. The food was great! We only ate at one of the a la cartes (because we like having choices at the buffet) and it was good as well. The people are very friendly and helpful. It was an adults only resort which I loved. Even though it was adults only they still had activities by the pool every day. The evening shows were some of the best (especially the fire show that was around the pool). We will absolutely be going back to the Aquamarine!

Everything was excellent! Rooms are clean. Beach is amazing. Service is very good everywhere in the resort. Food are delicious in buffet and in A la cart restaurants. Entertainment is very good! We definitely coming back.

This is in no way a "5-star" hotel. Most likely a "3-star" Rooms are awful: bed the worst I have ever slept in; outdated; old. Food: some hits (Limbo, Fish Market) and misses (Portfino); buffet provided a huge selection which was good Entertainment: the staff is the best - engaging and friendly, all day long; some of the shows were hits (fire show, white party, boogie show) and misses (live music) Guest services: seemed really put off when you ask for assistance Grounds: very clean, beautiful Walkability: the resort itself is quite isolated and you do not need a trolley to get around from your room > buffet > pool > lobby area. However if you want to visit other resorts or go to the beach, you can grab a trolley on the main path. Beach: it is a 10-15 minute walk. Make sure you remember everything you need to bring or else it is a long walk back; very clean and beautiful. Excursions: there is someone in the lobby to answer your questions and book trips: very easy and excellent customer service Pool: very clean; divided into 3 areas; did not have any issue getting a lounger Bugs: terrible - you will get bitten and bitten a lot. Check in/out: easy; small fee to check out later if your travel plans are delayed; bit confusing to see that there are 2 lobbies within the resort Air Transat: never again - vent cover blew off upon landing and hit someone on the head- scary to witness considering the news of windows and doors being smashed open on other airlines; 7+ hours delayed getting home plus removal of unruly passengers which added to the delay; customer service was non-existent

The Bahia group of hotels is very nice. Lots of walking which we like but if you dont there are regular trollies. The Aquamarine that we stayed in was nice but getting a little tired and needed some repairs. You could book as many dinners as you wanted at any of the hotels. The food was very good. The beach was gorgeous and you could walk forever. They need more huts for shade though.

Very nice hotel/resort. Request to add more vegetarian main courses in lunch/dinner for vegetarian family like us so one can enjoy more. Request to have Fiesta Dominicana show twice a week and should be free.

Very large resort. Long walks to the beach, perhaps to long if you are not in good shape due to the heat. Service was good around the pool and the lobby. Buffet - food - good variety and quality, Service - Attentive. Only able to book two other resturants - Japanese and The Garden - both good food and service. Rooms - key issues, patio door would not lock, sheets worn but servicable. TV very bad reception. Maid service good

Beautiful grounds great pool awesome beach great food. Rooms Need more maintenance ie: broken plugs, toilets, hot water hats to regulate, etc., but very clean. Front desk staff need to be more fluent in English as there is definitely a language barrier as a result confusion reigns

The Grand Aquamarine is an amazing resort, sorry I only booked for a week, next time it will be for longer. Front desk staff Annabell was absolutely wonderful and saved our vacation. We booked a ground floor room with our travel agent with two beds, we did not get that we were given a room on the second floor with one bed. However, they did provide a extra single with a good mattress. My friend is unable to navigate the stairs and was in great pain by the first full day of our vacation. We met Annabell at the front desk and she checked for a room for us and had it fixed and cleaned and helped us move to the new room and brought us closer to the lobby and the buffet, she was awesome and so helpful and saved our vacation. We also had some dealings with Yudelka at the front desk and she was also very nice and helpful, always cheerful and smiling. Alba who cleaned our room everyday was a beautiful soul and so helpful and friendly, made sure our suite was great everyday and provide great service. Eddie at the lobby bar was always smiling and happy and made us laugh, very attentive and friendly, the staff there was also very good. We tried 3 of the ala carte restaurants and they were good, but a big shout out to the buffet staff that made our meals there the best. Edwin and the staff that worked with him were the greatest and made us laugh and have fun every day. The resort the entertainment every night was great, we met a lot of really nice people and staff there. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Awesome Resort..... Amazing Buffet...breakfast...lunch....dinner....one of the BEST Buffets we have a had at a Resort. Rooms were clean and modern. Staff was very eager to help you.....and friendly. Everything was very good about this resort. The a la cartes were so good. Grounds were nicely kept, personmel were friendly and helpful. The only negative thing would be the housekeeping wasn't up to par. Mainly the bathrooms were not cleaned properly. But other than that, everything was great.

We really enjoyed our stay. It was a very big complex, the staff were very friendly and open. Pool was kept clean, and the grounds beautiful. Plenty of food at the buffets and at the al carts. Entertainment at night was amazing, shows, music. The beach where we stayed was not what we expected. The door keys need an upgrade along with the TV. A little more explanation as to use the wiffi log in, but managed All in all I'd go there again, maybe try the Amber

The resort was amazing at the aquamarine the service was impeccable. It was clean staff were courteous and polite and very helpful The food was amazing. The room was amazing. We really enjoyed ourselves and had a wonderful time We highly recommend the aquamarine!

The room was lovely, the resort was incredibly well kept and clean, helpful staff, and the food was honestly really good (especially the a la carte restaurants, but book those before you go if you can because options were thin). The beach was everything you could want from a resort. The only issue was that you had to go super early in the morning if you wanted a chair with some shade... I feel like the resort should really regulate that better because so many people leave their towels there to reserve them all day but don't even spend time there. But the lovely bartender at the Aquamarine reserved chairs was the BEST and was a crowd favourite by far. The drinks were great, entertainment was fun, but note that we went more for a relaxing vibe and might not fully recommend this spot for party vibes. There is something for everyone though! You really can't go wrong.

This resort was incredible from start to finish! Staff were absolutely incredible, most notably Miguel from the front desk made this our best trip ever. This is a rather large complex of resorts but the trolleys and the friendly drivers made it an fun adventure every time. Food was top notch with so many options to choose from. Was not disappointed once during our stay; we are already planning our next visit.

This is a huge resort - actually 7 properties in one - so offers a ton of variety and plenty of a la carte choices. We found the beach area for Aquamarine guests to be very, very crowded and not a great beach experience at all. The pools at each resort are beautiful and the grounds are well kept. They have done an excellent job with landscaping to not make it feel like you are at a huge resort. The tennis courts are right at the entrance to the resort and a long way from most accommodations. The staff were by and large - overall excellent. Rooms were a nice size and everything was in full working order. Would recommend this resort!

Having travelled to this resort previously, we had assumed we would have a similar experience. Upon arrival, we were greeted in a friendly manner by Guest Services. Upon check in, we were given 2 wristbands, with no explanation why. We asked on day 2 and were informed they granted discounts around the resort. After check-in, we were escorted to our room and had to ask where the buffet was - at no point did Guest Services offer up this information. The next day, we decided to take a shower before heading to breakfast. The shower was extremely hot. It took more than 10 minutes to get it cool. This was an ongoing issue for the entire week. On day 3, we asked housekeeping to come in and take a look. The were unable to help. On day 4, we headed to the front desk and requested maintenance to take a look. We were told to wait for 10-15 minutes and someone would be up to see us. No one showed. Housekeeping-The room was not once cleaned completely. There were toothpaste marks left on mirrors and counters, coffee rings, bar fridge not restocked (until we asked for it), missing face towels (last 3 days). Also, broken glass found on the floor in the bathroom. When we spoke to housekeeping, our concern was dismissed. Mattress did NOT have a protective cover. It was completely stained with some form of body fluid. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING! Telephone-telephone did not connect to concierge, etc after day 4. Again noted to Guest Services, nothing done about it. Wifi Connection-very, very unstable. Many times we had to connect and reconnect. Room Keys-we needed to reprogram the keys at least 9 times through our 7 day stay. We were told it was due to close proximity to our smart watches and phones. The keys were kept in separate locations on our person and even this did not work. All inclusive is NOT all inclusive: alcohol: the only items included was beer on tap and low quality spirits. If we wanted a bottled beer, there was a fee of $5US. If we asked for Bailey's, it too required money. We were also denied beverages at one of the swim up bars not at our location. Again, why??? a la carte: on our first day we attempted to book our a la carte meals. As we were aware, many of the restaurants service all the other resorts (ie/ Ambar, Punta Cana, etc), which resulted in very late reservation times. When we asked how we could actually book to a reasonable time, the concierge said to go to the restaurant and ask if they had availability. EVERY restaurant we went to had lots and lots of availability. This is just a ploy to get you to eat at the buffet. This is very shady business practice. In addition, the website indicated that long pants and semi-formal to formal attire was required. Not true, people walked in with shorts and sandals. This needs to be updated. lunch restaurants: we went to the concierge to ask if there were other options available to us for lunch, other than the buffet. I told the concierge that in the past we could use the other restaurants in the other locations just not the buffets. No problem, we did not want buffet. Apparently this is no longer the case. The concierge, Marco Ramirez, said our only option was the buffet, however we already were aware of the poolside Grill. When we said we did not want either of these two options, he said 'I don't know why you don't want the buffet'. It was none of his business why we didn't want to eat there. He then went on to explain how to book the a la carte restaurant - not at all what we asked. And finally, when pushed again, he said there was a snack bar in our area that served food. I found his attitude extremely condescending and unwelcome. Entertainment-we had no idea what entertainment was happening at any of the other locations within the resort. Excursion-recommended by our representative. Said it was amazing as we would be at the Seaquarium where we would Snuba, snorkel, swim with the sharks and stingrays. The Snuba involved walking along the sea bottom, holding a rail, while a diver fed banana to the fish and we posed for photos. The snorkel did not have any fish to see as they were all attracked to the Snuba. The sharks and stingray were captive and not active. The food! Wow, we paid $150US each to have half a sandwich that consisted of one slice of meat and a slice of cheese. AND we had to pay for beer, but spirit was free. This was an outright photo opportunity and money grab. This whole experience has left us with a very sour taste for Bahia Principe and we will not book any vacations with this chain.

Hotel was clean food was delicious ? pool was excellent and lots of entertainment ? service could use so.e work I'm the past they went out of their way for you this time I felt I was an incontinence that was my only disappointment ? the 1 excursion we went on was a huge disappointment, we never got what we paid for

The hotel was beautiful. We had a great time! We noticed that the floor around the pool was very slippery and dangerous at some point. We also notice there are no railings going up or down the stairs to the rooms. The only downfall was finding out that our luggage cost extra. Our agent didn’t give us a heads up which we would have packed accordingly. We would have appreciated him pointing that out.

Feb 21- March 6, 2024 I will start by saying that this is not a 5 Star resort. ROOMS - no plugs for IPhone etc. you had to unplug hair dryer, coffee maker or lamp in order to charge phone, IPad etc. The room was dated. You could actually see light coming in around the door frame. Not sealed properly. Sink had no stopper. Bath tub and sink hardware were falling apart. Also fridge was not cold and not replenished daily. Cleaning staff were hit and miss with towel and face cloth distribution. BEACH - nice beach but not enough shade or chairs. You had to get up at 6 am to secure a shady spot. DINING - food was good and a la cartes were quite nice. Only real problem with dining was that you could not always get the dinner reservation at the time that you wanted. DRINKS - drinks were not as good as the other 5 Stars that we have been to. Alcohol was bar grade and often out of stock. No gin, no Rose wine etc. LOBBY BAR - Not enough staff. Coffee machines often not working. SPORTS BAR- The staff was unable to get NHL games which I will never understand in this hi tech universe. So many Canadians at the resort but no hockey!! The Sports Bar itself was great and the staff were excellent. NOISY - lots of couples arguing, yelling and slamming doors late at night. No sign of security to stop them. This is not a 5 Star!!

Bahia principe aquarium was a perfect get away The entertainment team had us having fun day and night we loved the night time shows around the pool Rooms spotless, get a pool side The buffet was very good hit and miss with your staff that brought you your water wine juice some were fun and some completely ignored you. I just had to smile and wave them down to get our drinks. It’s was great having the bbq by the pool there is also a smaller lunch restaurant by the bubble pool I love this resort and will go back again

The resort overall was nice. It was very big, so that gave you many options for dinner. The draw back is beach was a little far but they did offer transportation back and forth. The cleanliness of the room and grounds was great. A few issues were that the loungers at the pool and beach were not very comfortable and were too low. Also the mattress was uncomfortable. The room itself was very nice and spacious.As for the food, the buffets were decent. The Italian restaurants need an upgrade in quality. The Brazilian steak house was there best restaurant , followed by Peruvian and Japanese.I would recommend this resort for someone who is looking for a big place with lots of options.

This resort is incredible. Very big with many hotels. The staff seem to have a good grasp on running things, despite its size. The food was pretty good. There were ups and downs, but for the most part very satisfying. They could improve on the coffee. I love my coffee in the am and throughout the day. Maybe add decaf as an option. All and all, very relaxing. Super friendly staff and very interactive.

Aquamarine room was dated and in need of a refurbishing. No dedicated outlets for phone chargers etc, in fact you had to unplug lights just to charge your phone. No stopper in sink. Towel and face cloth supply was sporadic. Handle on sink was almost broken and shower set up was loose. Room door was not sealed properly as you could clearly see the light shining around the door frame. In room fridge was not always replenished. Lack of good air conditioning in our lobby. Not easy to cool down after a day in the sun. Lobby tables were not cleaned and were always sticky. Very difficult to find chairs at pool and beach. Sports Bar could not get NHL games on their TVs. Food was good, a la carte restaurants were good and not packed, but it was difficult to get reservations at the time you wanted. The bars also ran out of supplies and didn’t seem to care. No gin, no champagne, no Rose wine etc and the quality of of their alcohol was not up to standard.Overall the Aquamarine is not a 5 star resort and it won’t be until they refurbish the rooms.

Carol took care of everything…made sure it was a very smooth process….all document available it was fantastic…would book with her again and again…thanks for making my vacation awesome. The food was amazing, the whole place was so well kept…and the staff were amazing

We came here 2x in the past when it was luxury we will not return here it was dirty including the pool we were refused dessert at the a la Cartes we actually took tips off the table one of my outfits was taken and later returned after I left a letter the grounds were littered with garbage and the lobby waitresses were HORRIBLE the lobby bar and tenders were great!!! Event staff was amazing the hacienda bar was INCREDIBLE I will not recommend this hotel to anyone over the age of 25 Beach and staff excellent it is disappointing to see and report as we are gold members for Bahia but will continue to stay in Mexico at Sian Kaan this does not reflect in any way on our trip associate Shae as she was absolutely amazing in everyway and made our trip easy and seamless

Great food, rooms were wonderful, housekeeping staff were great. Pools were very nice and clean (other than swim up bar pool - gross) lots of activities to do and activity staff were great. Only complaint would be the lounge staff - very unattentive. Lounge bartenders were fantastic

Husband and I go every year for vacation to the same resort because we love it here! Beautifullly maintained landscaping, excellent food and drinks with many options for everyone, clean and spacious rooms! Only issue this year was that it was an extremely busy week and people were leaving towels on chairs at the pool and the beach for many hours and not using them while some couldn’t find a chair.

Would go back ! Already looking to book again. Entertainment staff was great. Food was amazing. Drinks were good. Pool was awesome Only annoying part is how many vendors are on the beach harassing you

We were repeat customers to this resort and have always loved it but found this time customer service was lacking. The younger staff if they did not understand what you were asking for, would just shake their head yes and never come back! Self-service has a whole new meaning for us! The grounds are beautiful and everything very well maintained.

We just spent 7 days at the Grand Aquamarine in Punta Cana. I have been to many all inclusives over the years, and the Aquamarine (adults only) ranks as one of the best. The grounds are great. The room (after an upgrade to poolview) was fabulous. The quiet end of the pool where we hung out was chill. The food was good, however, a bit of a challenge as my wife and I are vegan. We could manage to find choices in the buffet and did alright at the restaurants. The language barrier (we don't speak spanish) made it a challenge to ensure that what we were served was in fact vegan. But that is the struggle of a vegan and it is not in anyway a bad mark on the resort. The staff at all levels was friendly and very helpful and welcoming. I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely come back for another week.

Beach was great, clean and gets top marks. Resort is one of several bunched together and busy during peak times. Best choice is to go adult only. Restaurant staff are great in Portofina and Rodizio. Aquamarine needs to improve on more English-speaking staff in key places - like front desk. One staff member to definitely single out is assistant manager Kevin Mars - professional, caring and treats you like family. Message to resort owners (Pinera Family), he is very deserving of a major promotion, and will be a superb General Manager very soon.
