I have been here before when it was more vibrant, Although the staff are great and the food is on par with the ratings, I honestly will no longer return. Bucerias has beautiful beaches but the local authenticity of humble kindness is no longer, it has been pushed out by xpats, apartment buildings and big corporations. You can see the struggle of the locals and it saddens my heart. If I do come back to bucerias it will be to stay at a local small hotel or homestay. The Decameron is bland looking, lost its sparkle and shine. But I do stress the employees are as beautiful as ever. Special shout out to Jenny and Marisol in the restaurant by building 4. I would also like to add that this place right now is under loud construction of the roofs so if you want a good sleep I suggest building 6 or somewhere else. Thats it for now, I have been to Bucerias many times, this is my last time staying here.

We have stayed at the Decameron for many years. The upgrades they have made are greatly appreciated. The new lounge chairs were comfortable around the pool. The specialty restaurants did not disappoint. There was a huge group of seniors which completely booked the middle buffet and we were not allowed to sit and eat in there. The morning coffee was not available from the machine until 7 am. It was nice to see regular staff there. We were disappointed that they put us on the fourth floor because I was unable to do the stairs due to upcoming surgery but they moved us the following day. I would highly recommend that the salad buffet be enclosed with plastic doors to prevent the birds from flying in and taking items. Based on our price package we would return again. Our trip agent was very helpful.

This is an extremely beautiful resort. Landscaping is beautiful & is still a work in progress due to some damage from Hurricane Melissa. Food was wonderful but we were disappointed with the steak house. Rib eye steak was almost inedible due to the fat content. Drinks were good and most bartenders knew what drinks were your "usual"! Shout out to Roy Lawrence at the bar near the large pool! Staff were all polite and very helpful. The rooms were a very good size and kept immaculate. They have a magnifying mirror and plenty of towels in the large bathroom. Beds were comfy. Large flatscreen TV (50") but sometimes it freezes up. Due to the fact we are seniors we found the walking from activity and restaurants back to our room quite difficult. Luckily they have golf cart trolleys to take you where you need to go. Due to the massive size of this resort I don't think we would visit again.

Food fantastic. beaches great. service good. just too damn big. without the golf carts it takes 10-15 minutes to get anywhere. the rooms were clean and everything worked great. there should be more elevators around the resort.

Booked through Air Transat and stayed a week. Arrival at the small airport was a welcome convenience compared with Panama City. The hotel is built on a hill — expect to climb 66 steps between the lobby and the beach/food areas. The room was basic with nothing spectacular; the bathroom had a small window to the outside that let bugs in. Food was best at the a‑la‑carte restaurants (seafood and Mediterranean stood out). Drinks were mostly local; Smirnoff was treated as top‑shelf. There’s no late‑night food, and after 11pm drinks are only available in the nightclub, which is always a zoo. The beach is coarse with broken shells. Staff were friendly and professional with no issues. Property was well maintained but big, location overall quiet expect when there was in influx of people on the weekend. Overall the hotel was not worth what I paid$$$$.

The Decameron is a small resort. Very intimate but not crowded. The pools provide ample space for all guests, including an adults only pool that is removed from the larger pools. Very clean with updated rooms, beds and bathrooms. The food was very good although the a la carte restaurant is quite small and it could be difficult to get a reservation there. The buffet was very nice with a mixture of Mexican and International foods. The staff is very friendly. It feels like a boutique hotel and although children are welcome it doesn’t have children’s’ activities. It also has a quiet vibe, not a crazy party atmosphere. Very relaxing and intimate. I loved it.

Boutique hotel. Lovely rooms. Washrooms all updated. Super staff who are very accommodating! Food was also delicious. Will definitely go back. Great location. Toured both Cabo San Lucas and San José Cabo.

2nd stay at this hotel and we have nothing bad to say about it. Good value for your money, ocean front property, lots of food options. Rooms are clean, we had a king size bed, mini fridge in room but not stocked. Large bottle of drinking water left in room daily. Property is kept up, staff are very friendly. Walk or taxi into town for restaurants and markets.

The staff were amazing very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. My room was kept clean every day, which I really appreciated. The resort is quite large, so be prepared for a lot of walking, including hills and stairs but it’s a great way to stay active! The food was excellent with plenty of options, and as a vegetarian, I was really happy with the variety available. I loved the location and was very happy being on the beachside then Panama city Overall, a great experience. Would I go back? Yes, I would definitely return.

The resort staff where excellent, food was great, all pools were clean and lifeguards very attentive, rooms were clean and lots of hot water for showering. The beach was free of garbage and you could walk into the water on fine smooth sand. We walked to the two other Decameron resorts nearby and refreshed our thirst while there. There where lots of shops nearby and we could buy anything we needed. Always a nice breeze to keep us comfortable. The best resort we have stayed at in many trips to Mexico.

Hotel is definitely NOT a 5star resort. Resort is very very dated. Rooms are small, but sufficient. Each one of the pools requires significant maintenance. Lounge chairs require updating. Food and Bars are not open when advertised, same with the pools. Only the children's pool is open for use first thing in the morning, we needed to wait until 10am for the other side of the main pool. By then it was very warm and you needed to be in the pool. Staff on the other hand are top notch! Very polite and helpful! Food, was a hit or a miss. For the most part, if you stick to traditional Mexican food, it was AMAZING! There are lots of food options very close to the resort as well. Location - AMAZING!!! First time visiting the Western side of Mexico, and I will never visit the East again! Super Safe, amazing locals and snow birds in the area providing recommendations that were authentic and not at all a tourist trap!

Hotel was great plus we were able to use the other two Decameron resort sites. Food was good every day, lots of pools to pick from plus they had an adult pool. The entertainment was good and we found plenty to do since the resort was right in town. little confusing at first but once you get the lay of the land it all came together. clean and friendly staff. beach is busy but that’s half the fun. we would go again, fun times.

Me and my family had an amazing time at the Grand Decameron resort. There was lots of options with the à la cartes, the buffets has a good variety. Everyone was very nice and everything was very clean. I would recommend bringing your own cups because the ones provided are very small. I would also definitely recommend upgrading to plus. People who didn’t I overheard had trouble booking à la cartes restaurants. Being on the plus side was nice and quiet and we had a great room location. Couldn’t have asked for a better vacation!

The hotel was lovely. Just the right size you were no more than 5 minutes from anywhere in the hotel. The food was really good and we ate at the à la carte restaurant twice, which also was delicious. The rooms were clean, a little dated. I know this is petty but the lampshade in our room was cracked and rusted. Perhaps they should replace the shade. All rooms had a pool view and our side had large trees on the entrance side

The property is large, lush, and beautifully designed, with multiple pools, restaurants, and entertainment areas. However, if you have mobility issues, be aware that the resort has many steps and hills, which can make getting around challenging. The beach was one of the highlights—clean, wide, and perfect for long walks or relaxing under the sun. We visited during March Break, but the ocean was red‑flagged for most of the week, so we spent our days by the pool instead, relaxing and having fun with our son. We expected to see lots of Canadian kids, but only came across a few; most of the children were Spanish. The restaurants were good overall, and there was always something for everyone, though after a week I was ready to return home to familiar food. The à la carte options were mixed: the Asian restaurant was the best, the Italian was solid, and the Mexican was a bit of a letdown. My biggest frustration was the reservation system—you need to wake up early, get a number, and wait to be called to book. The resort really needs to modernize this process with technology, as many other resorts have done. I also wish the buffets had self‑serve coffee machines instead of having to wait for staff. The rooms are dated, but clean and comfortable, with essentials like air conditioning, satellite TV, private balconies, and daily housekeeping. The staff provided great service and worked very hard, especially considering how busy the buffet restaurants can get. The airport is small with a small store, there's no meals that you could purchase, just snacks and drinks, so be prepared for the flight home. Overall, the resort was great!

My wife and I are in our 60's and have been to the other Decameron resorts in Guayabitos. We both felt this one was the best of the 3. I have read other resort reviews and some people just can't be happy. We are very happy with this one. Will summarize our 2 week trip in point form: Local Area -Excellent beach with hard packed sand and wide flat expanse at low tide. -Beach well used by both tourists & locals. Children were always playing & digging in the sand. At times (weekends) beach was busy but did not feel crowded. -Blue bottle jellyfish were present this trip, never seen before – purple flag flying. 1st week water calm, 2nd week water rough red flags for 3 days - Many beach sellers present, but they were not intrusive. - In town, many shops with souvenirs and plenty of smaller mercados for groceries. No large grocery or department stores. There are more stores and some are slightly larger in La Peneda central district. - Have notice prices have increased on many items, Market items seemed too expensive HOTEL Pros: -Price extremely good for this trip! Nice feature to stay at one & play at three hotels. -Room had large soft pillows 3 per bed - Plug by night table – easy for a powerbar for CPAP & chargers - Elevators worked well, except one was down for 3 days. Fixed just before a busy holiday weekend. - Restaurant/ Buffet had plenty of food, Bars had good stock of decent products. lineups reasonable - Beach & pool chairs are comfortable. -English was spoken or understood by much of the staff. Improved - No towel cards Improved - Electronic door locks Improved – Heated pools They used to be soooo cold! - Recognized many workers working there from previous years. Good retention Cons: -Pretty hard bed – lots of tossing & turning. -No dresser in rooms for clothes, asked for extra suitcase rack. Nothing to hang stuff in room or bath. -Air con worked very well, but always seemed to direct onto a bed -Good hot water but fluctuating water pressure (on 6th floor anyway) -Had to ask for washcloths -TV only 3 English channels all of them news -Noises & music from pool area echoed up through up the whole hotel –but it did quieten down when the pool closed and after the bar activities around 10pm -No quiet area with normal height tables available at night to play games. -Restaurant/ Buffet lacked syrup for pancakes or French toast, Bananas infrequent but brought some when asked. No oatmeal (even though it was in drink form) -A la carte’s were troublesome to book and unable to cancel or change booking Would have like to see the A la carte’s more often also. 4 a la carte’s each open only 1 or 2 nights each

Extremely enjoyed ourselves, the accommodations were dated which added to the authenticity of the area, but very clean and comfortable. Everything in our room worked including a free safe and fridge and the a/c worked perfectly. The area was fantastic for walking and commuting around, being right in town and all that goes with that and the access to the other 2 Decameron hotels really added an extra dimention to the experience. The food In the buffet was really good and Fernando took great care of us, (excellenti) (also, loved the tequila ha ha!) we had lots of fun with him. The singing egg lady was always nice to see every morning. Pedro, in the alcarts was a fantasticaly friendly guy who had a great sense of humor and wonderful service skills, and we enjoyed the meals at both restaurants. Our chamber maid who kept our room spotless and maintained throughout our stay, ensured we always had everything we needed. The beach was beautiful (you could walk for almost an hour to the river which was wonderful. Even the beach vendors were courteous and didn't hound you. The ocean was calm and shallow to wade into and quite warm. All 4 swimming pools were glistening clean and great to cool off in. Bartenders were all nice to deal with, very friendly and extremely efficient and the beer was ice cold, perfect. Checkin was easy, checkout not so easy, at 6:15 am our arranged departure time, we found the front desk closed. Not sure if our ride to the airport was coming and no one to checkout with. We did get to the airport and all was good. All in all we would return to this resort as we had a wonderful time.

Overall everthing was good Staff were great in all areas, Rooms were nice Showers were great always hot water,Seating in the entertainment area sucked and could and should be upgraded for more comfort. Food was good they could do better to keep the hot items hot instead of warm .examle Soups ! But we enjoyed our stay and would recommend to freinds .But dont expect a 5*+ You get what you pay for!!

We have been returning to this hotel yearly for years. We love it. Definitely needs some work on the rooms...exterior renos seem to be in progress. We will continue to come here each year. Grounds are great. Pools great. Food was better from a 4 to 6 or 7.

Decameron isle coral one of 3 sister hotels in Guayabitos 2 hrs north of puerto Vallarta. Our original booking Feb 23 cancelled because of gun fight at ok coral rebooked feb24 via Calgary. Our hearts ? go out to the families who lost loved ones in this tragic drug battle. We played Pickleball 9 of 12 days We packed ourselves breakfast from the evening buffet. At 0500 I would set up , wake up the lobby coffee machine , run it through a disinfect cycle and make 4 cups of coffee. 25-30 minutes every morning 3 times having to find water bottle from a near bar in hotel. This is an expensive way to make coffee, very convenient for people waiting for rooms but costly for checked in guests, when kitchen staff could put coffee out like we had at Decameron cocos at 0500. 0600 off to courts 15 min walk down the street 45 min from Decameron cocos There was 50-75 players cycling through courts from 0630-1100 hrs. Google Guayabitos Pickleball club or check out pickle heads. com Very well run club with levels from beginner to 4.0 Learn to sign as there is a group of 10 playing. Back to hotel at noon, shower lunch Buffets were very good during the week, pork chops , chicken ,strip beef , two fish dishes and excellent fruit and vegetables, olives , soups , icecream , cheese. Beach is fantastic, beach volleyball, boogie boards and kayaking. Walked the beach end to end 4 km with beer stops at sister hotels on west end. There were commercial fishing boats out and for the next 3 days the beach was full of baby bitting jelly fish every 20 ft on the beach. Still many people in the ocean. On the weekends the place is crazy with nationals family vacationing. 16 buses parked by hotel area ,then Monday they all head home , it’s almost lonely. We got in to alacarts 3 times on the app and were pulled in 2 other times by staff. Minimal English spoken but tips and smiles are universal. They do want you to book in to buffets if you plan to go to sister hotels so they know the numbers. In bed by 2000 hrs. No evening noise. Entertainment at Decameron cocos Night club disco at Decameron marina Non potable water in hotel Bring coffee cup and sippy cup. We used 2 bottles of water in 13 days Refill our water thermos at bar or restaurant. We used 2 beach towels in 13 days to nap on or sit on. I know it’s a job for someone to wash towels and sweep the sand all day , an expense paid for by customers. SAVE ON WATER and get a water trough by beach steps , hotel management. Nexus transfers were great both ways. We were early getting picked up and had plenty of time to get to airport. Pack little Wababa ball from Sport check , kids love to see and play in pool skipping a ball on the water. Pack a little bouncie ball to play on beach. So much fun to play with kids and let their parents sit and relax on their vacation. Frisbee to play on beach Biked to La Penita to use bank machines and market on Thursday. Market i Guayabitos on Monday. Definitely head back next late February.

This resort is excellent- we have gone many times - with the 2 of us- and with groups of people. The service and staff are excellent ! The rooms are large- we had a fridge and a safe. The beds and pillows were super comfortable, the bathroom and shower are large. The food is good, with special mexican nights, seafood nights, Italian nights etc. They have 5 specialty restaurants, and the buffets are very good. The shows at night are good. The beach is amazing, and there are many pools in the resort, including a quiet pool. The location for this resort is really good. It is an hour to Puerto Vallarta so it is very easy to go there. We travelled with Air transat and they had a representative at the resort every morning if we had questions or wanted to book tours. The resort is in the town of Bucerias and a short walk to the shops on the street and the local market. There are many really good restaurants and bars right on the beach in the centre of town. If you like to bike, check out Bici Bucerias- we rented bikes there and they are excellent- they are a 3 minute walk from Decameron. I would highly recommend this resort.

We cancelled our vacation at grand Decameron due to the civil unrest. This would have been our milestone birthdays holiday. We had planned this vacation for a couple of years only to have it cancelled due to the cartel uprising

From the moment we arrived, we were taken care of. When I needed a playpen, they were so quick and brought it to our room. Room service even made the sheets in the playpen when they cleaned. The staff are some of the friendliest people I’ve met, and felt like friends/family when we left. The food is incredible, never tried the restaurants but also didn’t feel like we missed out. Even when I went to grab a highchair, someone was quick to stop me and bring it to the table. This resort is incredibly clean, you notice staff cleaning all throughout the day. We cannot wait to go back!

The resort has a tired, dated feel overall, and it would really benefit from some updates and repairs. The food was good—not exceptional, but enjoyable enough. The pool area itself was quite nice, though it was far busier than I prefer, with more kids than expected. The pool bars were consistently understaffed, and it wasn’t unusual to wait 15 minutes or more just to get a drink. My biggest concern, though, was the customer service. Much of the wait staff came across as indifferent, and the level of attentiveness just wasn’t where it should be.

I fell in love with Panama the second we landed. The resort was ok. I dont really like to stay in the resort. I like to explore. Car rental is right outside the resort so that was easy. Food was ok. Hard to get coffee for early risers. Not much English spoken but didnt bother me.

This was our first time at this location. The grounds, pools, restaurants and rooms were all immaculate! The staff are constantly cleaning. The Buffet and à la carte restaurants offered many options and the food was well prepared. The bars and bar tenders were very courteous. The only disappointment was the “snack bar”. It served over cooked frozen hamburger patties and gawd knows what kind of nachos. They could use some improvements there. You cannot swim in the ocean at this location but we knew that before we booked. Overall if you’re looking for a chill vacation this is a wonderful place.Jenn Black is an amazing agent. She kept us up to date with all info and what’s available in Cabo. You won’t be disappointed booking with her!

i would like to comment on the staff member Eliana. She did not seem to understand basic concepts of travel. For example, i told her we wanted Premium seats, but definitely not the bulkhead. So she went ahead and assigned us to bulkhead seats. I tried to explain to her we absolutely did not want bulkhead. But she did not seem to understand. She wrote back in an email that she had checked with Westjet, and these seats (in bulkhead row) were definitely Premium (??). She just did not understand. We went ahead and did out own booking in Premium row 3. I would never use her as an agent again. If this is not the right place to make this comment, please forward this on to the appropriate dept. I have used Tripcentral many times in the past, but would never use her (Eliana) again. So i am not sure how i can screen for suitable trip advisors in future. Perhaps you can advise.

Wish we stayed longer, only 4 days 3 nights. Resort was expansive itself. We paid extra for the plus and were grateful we did. Amenities were great, food was plentiful with options. Beach loungers were still scarce even in the plus section at the pool and beach which was disappointing. Had to walk around quite of bit time before we could find one not in the plus side of things. We stayed in a garden view room which was at the top of the hill. Going up and down to access most of the amenities would def be an issue with anyone with mobility issues. Beach was clean and beautiful, 2 of 3 days red flag so we couldn't go in the water for swimming or other sports which was disappointing but understandable. Very hot and humid so be preparedg. Disco could be promoted more so people knew there was something to do after the animation show which was mainly in Spanish, sucked if you weren't or didn't understand. No mosquitoes and bugs. Checkin was okay, but didn't get our room until after 1.5 hour later after the advertised checkin time so take clothes to change into while you wait. Can't book a la carte restaurant the date of arrival, too late need to be done first thing preferrably in the morning so if you arrive late no chances but plenty of buffet and other options though. A bit of time at the bars to get drinks but once you did they were great and not watered down and great options especially in the plus side.

I had contacted the hotel direct before arriving to insure everthing would be in English and a request for room locations as I had been here before When we arrived our rooms were exactly as requested but the air conditioner had to be repaired and the safe did not work There was no English orientation just French no English from activity staff no times for restaurants or days open no information on events or entertainment Snack bar only open spraticly and not at all for late night,sports bar is now a kids zone no Olympic or super bowl coverage no bar stools at any bar Long lines at bars limited staff poor operation of restaurant booking no information. About features at the buffets Lost power fir 8 hr one day lost internet for 3 days and constantly being disconnected Day trips didn't tell you that some features were not included on scheduled days There was good parts most ot the restaurants were good and drinks were done well by most of the bartenders This place should have been a 5 star hotel for the price but it would be a stretch to give it a good 3 star I tried to contact the hotel higher ups while there but with no avail

Loved the resort start to finish. Multiple pools. Beautiful beach to walk. Food was plentiful. If you couldn't find something to eat ,your problem. Multiple bars & washrooms. I loved the whole experience because I wanted relaxation. I did not want to come home. I will go back again next year to Grand Decameron Complex.

A gentle bay of small waves heights and wide sandy areas. The hotel is a true 3.5 star hotel regarding amenities however serves excellent food and is very clean. The staff is always helpful and very capable. With visitation to the other Decameron properties in Guayabitos included giving a perk to increase variety for one’s trip. Lastly the clientele is 60 percent Mexican and the rest seem to be Canadian.

We were in Block 2 in an oceanview room - the room furnishings had not been updated but it was very clean and comfortable with Air Condioning, a mini fridge, an electronic safe, electronic key card entry, bathroom with shower ony and small bottles of shampoo, conditiner and lotion along with small bars of soap provided. They also provided one large bottle of water daily and if we happened to see the maid in the hall she was happy to gie us another. The buffet food was ok, some days the offerings weren't quite what we were looking for but we always found something to eat - food temp could have been warmer. The a-la-carte restaurants were all very good, we tried the Japanese, Thai, Mexican and Italian. We did not find the cocktail list to be quite to our liking so stuck with beer, wine and sangria. My only caution is this - security will go and remove all of your belongings from the lounge chairs if someone is looking for a spot and you have been "gone too long".... how long is too long? who decides?? this is the problem.... we told security that the people who were beside us on the beach one day had just gone for lunch, but he either did not understand or did not care- scooped up all their things and when they came back from lunch they no longer had a spot... not really my kind of vacation vibe - why dont they just get more chairs?

This hotel is a great spot for a beach vacation. The food is amazing, the staff is perfect and everything is very clean. The only complaint is that the rooms, especially the bathrooms could really use an upgrade, but it is kept very clean. Overall, I would return as it checks all the boxes for us for beach, food, drinks, pool and location.

Hotels showing its age but grounds are beautifully maintained, staff are wonderful, premises immaculate, beautiful beach. Preferred the colours they used to have - beige is so boring. We keep going back because of the location, the ability to walk beyond the resort in safety. Food is mediocre but you will always find something. Many restaurants, bars within walking distance so eating out is a bonus.

This was our second stay with Grand Decameron in Bucerias. We were a little surprised when the vibrant building colors from last year were more muted this year. Again, we booked into an adults-centric block of 5 or 6. That was good for our requirements, and we could wander over to the other Blocks and Pools for a more lively and upbeat ambience. The rooms in Block 6 seemed more refreshed than last year. Maid service was prompt and friendly. The bar lady at Block 6 was excellent, cheerful and willing to play along with peoples' attempts at speaking Spanish. The ala carte restos were generally good. However JAP JAP resto had each of the courses served looking suspiciously like the previous course. We actually saw 2 tables leave after the second course and went to dine elsewhere. This year, being able to book the ala carte restos online was a welcome upgrade. However for our last two days onsite, our registration mysteriously disappeared from the reservation system, so we had to resort to the old standard standing in line for making your restaurant reservation. All in all, we would definitely consider coming back here.

The beauty of this resort is a great location, and wonderful helpful and friendly staff. Our room was dated but clean. There were plenty of options included in the buffet and the food was always fresh. I loved the fresh guacamole served at the snack bar and opted to eat there at lunch instead of the buffet. The snack bar usually opened around noon and is located behind the main bar by the buffet. We spent a fair amount of time in the bar which is located on the other side of the snack bar area. It is enclosed and in a shady area. This bar was usually quiet with no lineup like the main bar has. We walked to local restaurants for dinner a couple of days. Both Wanda's Burger & Ribs and Mona Lisa Pizza were great off resort meals. We went to two local markets and shopping in the small local stores. Overall we enjoyed our stay and especially the wonderful people!

This was our 2nd time to Cartagena & I must say we were disappointed upon our arrival at the Decameron Baru. We found this resort to be very remote from the airport & downtown Cartagena. Our bus ride took 1hr & 45min which made for a very long day. We did not have hot water for the first 3 days. We had requested a kingsize bed and received a room with 2 twin beds. We found the rooms to be in decline. The drawers in the dresser were falling out, the hot water shower handle came off completely on 2 occasions & pieces of the dresser doors were broken off , or rotting. The restaurant choices were minimal. We also upgraded our package to the “plus” package, which we found did not really have any benefits. Our “plus” member pool did not open until 10am & we still needed to book our restaurant reservations daily. We also found that the hotel staff were not very fluent with the English language, menus were in Spanish & if we asked a question regarding what ingredients were being used in a meal concerning allergies, they could not answer as they did not understand English. Overall this hotel is listed as a 4* resort, but we would rate this hotel as a 3*.

We have been going to his resort for the past 10 years. We love the location, right on the ocean, we love the friendly staff, the cleanliness everywhere, rooms, pools, grounds, facilities, and the lovely little town of Bucerias, walking distance from the resort.

This was our first time to this resort and we will definitely return. Our stay at Decameron exceeded our expectations. The resort was very clean and the beds were quite comfortable. The room was made up fresh everyday and we had lots of bottled water. The mini fridge worked great and kept our ice frozen. Overall the food was very good and no complaints whatsoever. However, the red wine was inconsistent, but ok. We will bring a couple bottles of our own next time. The employees were all fantastic and very friendly. The ocean was awesome to look at but a bit rough for swimming (for our liking). The fact that this resort has several pools and bars is a real plus. The staff work hard to keep them well maintained and clean. A plus for the resort was the friendly gentleman operating the pottery painting opportunity. Many people spent countless hours enjoying painting their pieces. We have never seen this at a resort before and we really enjoyed it. The iguanas were wonderful to watch and quite entertaining. The only downfall to the whole trip, which is no fault of the resort, was that we got "tricked" into a conversation at the airport; someone selling excursions, which was really a timeshare scam. We got taken for $120 USD. - Beware! Live and Learn.

The grounds are nice but VERY big. And you can’t avoid huge staircases. I actually liked this because it helped me rack up about 13,000 steps per day without even trying. Never did we take the van anywhere on the property. And the grounds really are lovely—especially at night. There are many beautiful pools and a long, walkable beach. Unfortunately, to get a Palapa on the beach or around the pool, one needs to be up and mark their territory by 6:45 AM. Seriously. By 7 AM, almost all of the chairs are taken, some never to be revisited again until noon. This chair game is played at many resorts we have been to, but it seems to be really bad here. I’m not sure what the answer is, but for late risers it was very frustrating. The food is also, in my opinion, “meh”. We weren’t really even impressed with most of the à la cartes—IF you can get them! You need to come to the lobby EARLY to book (might as well scope out your lounge chair at the same time!). My husband went down to book once at 6:45 a.m. and was number 28 in line. By the time they called his number, the only spot available for dinner was 8:30 pm. And, to be honest, the only food that I thought was exceptional was the burger at Cowboy Restaurant. It really is all it’s cracked up to be! But nothing else really “wowed“ me. And I’m really the furthest thing from a foodie. But I was just often disappointed. I found the steak grizzly and almost inedible. I had salmon once and it was dry and overcooked. The starters in most of the à la cartes were buffet, which kind of negates the purpose of an à la carte. Also, cats and dogs roam through the restaurant. While this is something that I don’t really mind because I love animals, I really don’t think it’s appropriate. Now for the amenities. The rooms are very sparse. Toilet paper is single ply and scratchy.They do not provide body cream or shower gel or a shower cap. And we had to fight to get more than two towels (for both of us—only two are provided). And there are no face cloths. But these are all things you can just bring yourself so not a big deal but worth mentioning for those planning what to bring. The staff are very nice but many don’t speak English at all. I can speak a little Spanish and a little French so I got by, but if you are relying solely on English, you may have a bit of a problem. But when we did have an issue (for example, with the air-conditioning and our balcony door), it was fixed within the hour! Great service! It’s definitely not a bad place. It’s just you need to manage your expectations. I wouldn’t recommend it to any of my friends who like ‘upscale’ luxury trips. But on a budget, it’s definitely better than Cuba. But I think the standards are better in most resort destinations I have visited in Mexico. But, to be fair, Mexico has become much pricier since Covid. It’s also not the turquoise water of the Caribbean. But the water was calm and they have lifeguards on the beach which is definitely reassuring. The pools are wonderful for the kids though and, of course, the water slides are great fun. If we had to rate it out of 10, my husband and I both agree it’s about a 6.5.

Food was ok, rooms were alright, however there are no elevators except in one building. If you were to end up on the 4th floor there is alot of stair climbing. Nice short walk to Bucerias Centro square with lots of shopping, bands playing and awesome street tacos.

We were prepared for dated rooms, but found most of the resort "tired" and in need of a facelift, from the lobby/lobby bar to the buffet restaurants to the rooms and some pools. We have travelled to many places and don't stay anywhere fancy but this resort was by far the most in need of work. Room was smaller than many resorts we've been to and we found it dark and a bit dingy. We wouldn't care, it's somewhere to sleep but there was visible dirt on the floor, things left behind by previous guests and a patio door that only my husband could open by lifting and shimmy-ing it over - I couldn't move it at all. We also had an "incident" with housekeeping, which was a first for us (and again, we travel a lot). Adjoining rooms can be loud (heard every word from our neighbors). Very poor service (absolutely none our first night, had to clean our own table to sit and weren't offered a drink at all and usually had to get up and go ask for tea and coffee in the mornings) at the buffets. Minimal selection of food. The beach is beautiful, no rocks or weeds in the water. However when we were there, if you weren't down to get a chair by about 7-7:30am, you might not find anything. Could use more palapas for shade and lots more chairs. Our room was closest to the middle pool and it was very crowded for the size of it, and could also use more shade. We felt that had we been able to book or upgrade to Plus, we would have had a vastly different experience, with a few more pools (and nicer looking pools) and restaurants to choose from. Bartenders were great, beach snack bar had good food and service, proximity to the airport is a big plus. We made the most of our time but I don't think this is a resort that we would return to.

I visited this resort 18yrs ago, I must say not much has changed, just some fresh paint. We really enjoyed it again. Everything is clean, staff are friendly and helpful and the food was great. I only have one complaint, the à la carte booking was ridiculous having to line up early in the morning just to try to book and you could only book for the day of. The recommended App did not work. We never ate at an à la carte as I was not wasting a few hours of our holiday standing in line.

I’ve never been to an all inclusive resort previously and I would definitely look for a different set of qualities in a resort next time. I found the hotel clean, the staff friendly and the overall environment very inviting. The food was consistent but pretty bland for my liking. The alcohol served was poor and I’m pretty sure watered down. I don’t drink much but when I do I would like a premium alcohol which isn’t watered down. I purchased my own beer from the local grocery store as a result. I did notice other patrons had done the same.

We stayed at Decameron Isla Coral on Jan 7 - 14, 2026. The hotel is nice, the rooms and facilities are clean. The staff is friendly and happy to assist. I would call this place a hotel and not a resort. The hotel lacks many of the amenities that other resorts have (a coffee shop, more restaurants, better entertainment, gym, spa, etc.). The rating on Trip Central is 4 stars. I agree with Trip Advisor, it's a 3 star at the most. We were very disappointed with the food at the buffet. It's probably the worst selection, quality and quantity we have even seen at a Mexican resort. Some of the salads, snacks and desserts were typically set out on small plates that quickly ran out. Most of the time, they were never replaced. There were almost no desserts to speak of. The entertainment at night was karaoke almost every night. The bar is very small with no more than 10-15 tables. We ended up going into town to walk around and eat at the local places. Mostly to eat something tastier or better. The highlight of the place for us was the beach. It's clean and great to swim or board. We also enjoyed the many beach vendors on the beach (if you don't mind that). You could buy fresh seafood or anything for that matter. We really enjoyed going out to town at night and trying different foods or shopping the many stalls or larger markets. The place feels safe and welcoming at any time of the day or night. Overall, we had a good week. I don't think we'll ever return to this place though.

Thank you to the staff as they were excellent. The hotel was clean and well kept. Rooms are spacious. Lobby bar could be kept open later allowing older people to stay away from sports bar.was way too loud .Need to tone the volume down as it echos in design of hotel. Food was hood but needs more variety in evenings from day to day. Use of the other decameron hotels within walking distance is a plus. Would rate it a 3+ stay

Food was cold and poor selection. Salad bar always good. Very limited staff everywhere- Canadian Club Rye only 2 days !! Never had this happen any resort in Mexico Few English speaking staff--even bar tenders. Loud speakers We will not return to Grand Decameron Bucerias.

This is not a five-star hotel which is fine with me, I don't require that. Overall the staff and the service are outstanding, rooms are adequate and food could use Improvement. Still a good deal for the price.

Ideal if one has mobility issues. Lots of level walking and ramps. Staff are friendly and helpful. Everything is kept clean. Food is great and always something to eat. Pretty much serve the same things daily so it gets boring if you stay for longer periods of time. I do miss cream for my coffee. They only offer milk. Never went hungry though.

Decameron Los cocos is 1.5-2 hrs north of puerto Vallarta airport. A very good free tour of country side and towns along the way. Hotel is submerged in Guayabitos on west side. Meals are very good clean rooms and just the rooster calling at 0530 to tell us it is time to go pickleball. We pack a coffee thermos , a covered drinking cup and a large water bottle , get filled at bars or restaurants. No garbage from us made. On the weekends the town comes alive Mexican style with hundreds of nationals vacationing on the coast We sailed two times , kayaked twice and walked the 4 km beach numerous times in between throwing a frisbee. There is no sunrise or set at the cocos hotel. The best is the stay and play at three sister hotels. Alacarts varied throughout the week. The use of washrooms bars and restaurants at all three a very big bonus. Our day started at 0430 , dressed and coffee on board with a breakfast grabbed from buffet the day before. 40 min walk to east side of Guayabitos where a pickleball club is playing at 0630. Very reasonable rates very welcoming. To the hotel. Build a trough at beach to stop sand from tracking everywhere 16 x 4 in deep x12 feet long save water Move bar in snack bar to east wall , feed beach people at side bar stop sand from tracking everywhere. I saw too many windows open drapes open and air conditioner running very wasteful of power The staff are beautiful hard working and very friendly. Loved our stay.

The staff was very friendly, and the resort itself is beautiful. But the Mexican charm of brightly coloured buildings is missing. Unfortunately, there were far too many iguanas around the pool area. On one occasion, an iguana got into the pool, left droppings, and the pool had to be closed for 2½ hours. Iguanas were also in the surrounding trees, and our lounge chairs were soiled three separate times. More shade is definitely needed as well. Another issue was the lack of available loungers. Many times, there were none available anywhere on the property, even when towels had clearly been removed. The new lounge chairs at many of the pools were wonderful, but more are needed so one doesn't need to an air mattresses for comfort. The food was disappointing. Pizza, fries, soup, and other items were often cold or barely warm. Cooked vegetables, potatoes, whole salmon, and bacon were undercooked. Additionally, there needs to be more variety in protein options. We had requested a room on a lower floor, due to my elderly mother walking with a cane. When we arrived the room allocated was on a third floor. It took quite some time to find another available. We were given the top floor in Block 3 which had an elevator. The following morning, the elevator did not work. It was fixed late afternoon. Our room had no cold water the first 3 days. The shower water would get extremely hot quickly so one had to be careful not to get scalded. On day 3 this got fixed. Then the following day we had no hot water. Day 5 onward everything worked! The nightly shows didn't start until 9:30. It would be wonderful to have them earlier because there is no chance of an early evening in with the volume of the show - even with earplugs. (Not in Block 3.) On a positive note, transportation to and from the resort with Nexus was quick! Unfortunately, the food was such a major issue that I will no longer be recommending this resort.

Although a bit dated the staff makes this resort great!!! Unfortunately in the last 2 years the new ownership has seen fit to repaint the resort with boring beige. The previous bright colors made this place so charming. The food has also become a bit repetitive Overall a friendly family resort reasonably priced. I would give it a 3 star

This hotel is in a great location. The beach is close, walking distance to Bucerias and coffee shops and restaurants if you want to go off the resort. The grounds are really nice. Keep in mind this is an older resort, but kept very clean. Not alot of frills in the rooms, but beds and pillows were comfortable. For the price we paid, I would say we got very good value. We stayed one week and ate off the resort twice. Loved our vacataion and found guests and staff super friendly and safe.

You will be dropped off at the edge of a neighborhood. Hopefully your driver will be better than ours. There’s an Oxxo store up the road, as well as a big store - you might want to make a note of it, because your room will only have one warm bottle of water in it, and a lot of the day you won’t be able to find anything to eat. Check in will be nice and relaxed. Maybe excruciatingly slow would be a better way to describe it. Maybe the staff were all training the day we arrived. Without any trainers present. Before opening the door to your room, close your eyes and picture Motel 6 in the 80s, and get prepared. I think they shipped in the furniture when Motel 6 upgraded in the 90s. Once you enter, be very happy if your light works. The lamps on the nightstands might even work too, if you’re really lucky. Apparently, some of the rooms are even equipped with a floor lamp! You know you’ve hit the jackpot then. Before you look at the shower, lower your expectations. Then lower them a bit more. Did you bring some flip-flops? I’d suggest wearing them in there. Yikes. The shower curtain looks like it’s been there since back when shower curtains were a thing. If you arrive in the afternoon, you’ll be waiting until after 6pm to get anything to eat. Bring food. Once the buffet opens, you and all the birds in the area will enjoy some Saran wrap covered food that you may have to uncover yourself. Underwhelming doesn’t even begin to describe the buffet. Tomorrow, if you want to fight with the wifi at 8am, you might be able to get a reservation at one of the a la carte places. I wish you luck. Otherwise, line up with 50 other people at 7:30am. There are pools. And lounge chairs. If you want one, you’ll have to get up at 6am and go get one. They don’t skim the pools during the day.. ‘nuff said. The beach is nice. The sand is fine. If you like to run on the beach, take a week off. The angle down to the water is pretty steep. On the way back up to the resort, you can try your best to wash your feet at the shower station. One of them almost works! In short, if you pay more than $900/wk per person, Wyndham is seriously tipping you off. A few days in, and I was envying the people heading to the airport to go home.

The hotel is good. Has a lot of positive such as the pool and the beach are fantastic. The rooms are somewhat dated and lack items such as irons and coffee machines. The food is very good and the Asian, Italian and the Cowboy à la carte restaurant are excellent. The buffets are good and have plenty of selection. It’s was interesting that the staff were very friendly and attentive in the à la carte restaurants however not so much in the buffets. Staff did not seem informed about the resort. We were incorrectly directed several times during our stay. It’s is important to know that the resort is quite large and requires a lot of walking. There are a lot of stairs and steep hills to get to a good part of the resort’s accommodations. This wasn’t a problem for us however important to note if guest have ambulatory issues. There are shuttle available to be arranged if needed. Overall I would rate the resort as a three star but pleasant.

The hotel is ok. Too many rules to mention. You can't smoke or vape any where only the beach area. Can't listen to music by the pool. Only beach area. Can't drink by the pool with a cup the provide only closed containers. Food was good.

Hotel is definitely aging and needs lots of updating. That said, the staff is wonderful, everything is very clean, the beach is one of the best. It is easy to walk into the small town of Bucerias or up to the highway to catch a bus into puerto vallarta and the malecon. Food is good for breakfast and lunch but dinner is not great. Ala carte restaurants are good. Easy to walk into town to one of the many restaurants there.

Close to the airport with a fast arrival, helpful staff clean rooms great food and drink made for one of our best vacations. Have already recommended to friends and will return in the future. The room was clean and had a wonderful balcony offering excellent views of the resort, beach and pool.

I liked the hotel and everything was in close walking distance from the room. The food was good the staff was friendly. There wasnt any hot water in the room until about the 4th day there but it wasnt a big deal. The shows were great especially the steel drums.

Very clean. Friendly attentive staff. Great food. But I would like more traditional Jamaican cuisine options. Beautiful beach. Clean pool. Great drinks. Safe and trusted staff. Lots of shops close by. Clubs down the street walking distance. Close to the airport. Worth the stay.

This is my second time visiting this resort and I will continue to go until I am proven that there is something wrong. The people are just amazing. The staff really cares about you. No one is pushy and no expectations are had. My most favorite people are Marcus the tour rep, The smile of his is so contagious. Nadae Semone Konia the front desk agents are so incredible. Make you feel so welcomed. Nathaniel the chef is so kind and ensures our dining needs are to our satisfaction. Nothing can stop me from going back. I am already looking to book in a few months.

Well where do i start. Ok the resort was clean but unkept, there was no eye for detail. Rooms outdated even though it seemed as though it was recently renoed, no dresser to put your clothes, there was a constant hum from the ac unit, apparently they said some part had to be repaired. If the fan was on it would make a creeking sound, so that was off and our towels only got replaced when we complained. As for our beach towels, well they either were out or were closed. One elevator worked out of two so most times we took the stairs and we were on the fourth floor. Food was ok but clearly too much salt at times and the staff, well the staff was not the greatest in the buffet area. Not attentive, at times we stood for 4, 5 minutes before we sat with no one even coming to greet the guests, it just seem unorganized and lacked caring at times. The bars were different they seemed engaged with guests, but the dj quite often played some racially inflammatory music, along with some inappropriate language with young kids about, my wife was not impressed. And finally the entertainment was suspect at best. Would I return, no, sorry I'll pay more next time and stay somewhere else.

When we arrived we thought maybe we had made a mistake. Building er were originally put in was a block from beach. First day changed rooms. By the end of vacation we rated it up there with some of the places previously stayed at near csncun. Great for kids. No undertow. Water was warm. Coral island had great visibility and variety of fish.

everything about this place is perfect, we go every year. the entertainment staff, Zoey, Jay Jay , TC and all of them basically make the resort always vybing! the dining room is small but always a good assortment to pick through as well as vegetarian options. the bar staff always on point especially Shaquille who made this trip extra fun by the bar with his great personality! big shout out to the best receptionist Tianna at the dining room who always made sure we had everything we needed! also the security were awesome and finally always helped out by the manager Mustafa and guest services manager Bermadine .. over all the rooms are big and clean and the grounds are kept so tidy! keep up the good work! sharmaine

It pains me to write this because I had the pleasure of interacting with some truly wonderful staff members during my stay. However, I feel it’s important that management understands the areas where improvement is urgently needed in order to deliver the level of service and quality expected at a resort. Arrival Experience & Room Readiness Upon arrival around 1:00 p.m., I was informed that my room wouldn’t be ready for another three hours. This is simply unacceptable after a long journey and set the tone for a disappointing first impression. Room Conditions & Amenities There was no hot water on the first day, and water pressure remained very low throughout my stay. The phone in the room was not working, which meant I had to walk to the lobby to communicate with guest services. No washcloths were provided, and the towels available were old, worn, and in urgent need of replacement. The front door was damaged, and the lock felt flimsy and outdated. Safety and peace of mind are essential while vacationing. The room layout was poorly configured, especially in regard to electrical outlets. In this digital age, having outlets near the bed for phone charging should be standard. Dining Experience During breakfast, lunch, and dinner, utensils were consistently missing from the tables. Guests should not have to request basic items—cutlery should be set and readily available at all times. Entertainment & Atmosphere The resort lacks visibility and promotion of entertainment activities. There was little to no communication or signage about what was happening onsite, making it hard for guests to engage or plan their evenings. External Vendor Experience The vendors outside the resort were extremely aggressive and made guests feel uncomfortable. This kind of persistent behavior discourages engagement with the local community and can negatively impact tourism. It felt more like harassment than hospitality. Final Thoughts I love Jamaica ?? deeply and always look forward to visiting. However, this resort needs to level up its customer service, room standards, and overall amenities—especially given its proximity to higher-end resorts like the S Hotel. Management should seriously consider revamping the business model, investing in infrastructure upgrades, and prioritizing guest comfort and experience. I truly hope this feedback is taken in the spirit intended: to support growth and improvement. The location and staff have potential, but the execution must rise to meet the expectations of today’s travelers.

The stay was not worth what we paid and come to find out after arriving we could have gotten 1 room for 5 people (because a 0-4 year old doesn't count, and my child was 3.) So could have saved THOUSANDS there. So we had a beachfront cottage thank God, it was the best and closest I've ever stayed to the beach! Beach was beautiful! Plenty of bars around. Smaller resort, but I like that. The food was insane in the sense that I went to the grill three times during operating hours while they told me either no food left or not ready yet. The main buffet often ran out of food or wasn't the greatest. You couldn't bring food to the room so when my son was sick and hungry well ....that was sad. Bartenders are amazing ? shout out to Ruel, tall man, Mark. A la carte restaurant had 2 options .... oriental and Mediterranean .... Oriental was better, but both okay. There is a store not far outside the resort. The bus ride from airport to resort felt like decades on a warm frequent stopped bus(almost last stop). I'd definitely return as I'm very easy to please but I'd never pay what I paid again for that stay. One love.

I have traveled to Jamaica many times and have stayed in this hotel the Royal Decameron Cornwall Beach four times I was very pleased to see the upgrades to the resort key cards from keys and the great new menu at the à la cart as well as the great food at the beach bar Grill an incredible difference from last year. The food is amazing can always find something delicious to eat.There was three of us staying in a room. We left a note for the maid.and never ran out of towels toilet paper or toiletries. We always had a beach towel and always found a beach chair, The beach is beautiful as always and those unbelievable sunsets! The only issues we had were that the boardwalk on the beach has lifted in many places, and my friends toe got caught on the board and she went for a tumble coming very close to the marble walkway that should be replaced and also when I was walking over to get jerk chicken from the barbecue, I injured my foot on the rocks that were sticking up out of the sand. They are very difficult to see so I would recommend that boardwalk to be fixed some extra sand and maybe a sign warning people of the rocks there to wear shoes other than that it was an amazing trip as always thank you so much

Hotel stay was great!Room was clean and staff was excellent. Great location and maintenance was immaculate. There was always something to eat and we enjoyed all of it. Many pools to choose from. Beach had lots of waves but enjoyed the water. Staff were friendly and helpful!

Hotel and staff are organized, this resort offers many conveniences. Everyone is super nice and down to earth. The view, the beach and grounds are paradise. Good vibes, good food, good service, good people and good view. Thank you for making our vacation one of the best we’ve ever had.

The hotel was very run down... - I had one warm/hot shower in 7 days , taps dripping, and no hot water in the sinks. toilets did not flush - the food quality was very poor - lots of choices but everything ( sauces) were watered down lacked in flavor compared to other resorts in Mexico and general overall quality of food was very poor - the bar's had NO fresh fruit, limes, lemons etc. - everything was high sugar content and really just bad. No fresh bananas or strawberries or access for drinks or smoothies etc. the due to the fact that the locals took up over 85% of the hotel , we will NEVER go back....... we were treated poorly...... I have never stayed in a Hotel that was like going to a mexican convention......

The resort was clean (rooms) and most areas. Washrooms were a little small size wise. Pools were good perhaps another adult pool or area where some light music playing in the background. Iguanas were a little much. Didn't like the fact that they were in dining areas. Dining: food was ok, nothing to write home about, but always cold unless you asked them to put it on the grill again.

Lovely hotel, located in pretty town of Bucerias. Hotel is decided into 6 bocks of rooms. Each block is set up to have everything you need in walking distance, with the exception of block 5&6. They are across a service road so you have to walk a bit to get to the ocean. We stayed in block 4, ground floor and it was perfect for us. You can walk for ever on the beach. There are vendors but a kind no thank you will do. Had a massage on the resort, $650 peso for 60 min near beach which I recommend doing. Beach is lovely, pools all over the resort. Food and service was good. Staff are very nice. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Free use of Bicycles and kayaks and paddle boards.

Our first visit to Panama was disappointing. The hotel advertisement lied. Pool our over crowded with kids no separate pool for adults. And definitely no swim up bar unless your VIP. Garden view rooms have no view of a garden just dirt. Food has no variety. Same thing everyday. All excursions were booked up before we got there so didn’t get to go off resort to view. And the biggest thing is the stairs for people that can’t walk a lot there is 74 step to climb for anything. We’re not very picky just wanted a nice place and this wasn’t it very disappointing from the minute we got off the bus. Needs to improve a lot.

Loved the cottages,feel like your in a village. Everything super close to each other.no long walk to bar,pool or beach..Loved the friendly staff.Beach was lovely and were in process of upgrading umbrellas. This wS my 6th stay, like famy

This is not a resort it's an old hotel. The food is so horrible you will have to go find food off resort. Cold, bland, no selection. Service in the buffets is horrible. Block 2 has a smoking section in front of it, great view of ocean but rooms are so old they are bad. Showers look disgusting, furniture handles fell off. And the noise from the pool area and night entertainment. And on the door side is street delivery trucks, cars thinking, dogs barking and music from the theatre till 1030pm. Block 3 is blocked by Block 1 but you will hear the theatre and the street and the pool noiseand shouting from microphone. The drinks unless u drink beer I never once had a buzz even after 10 mango margaritas..I don't drink tequila and if at home wowzer I'd be knocked out...but never did I once feel a buzz...so drink away those water drinks. No wifi unless you sit in lobby or lobby in block 4 Line up for a la carte every morning at 7am as the app doesn't work fir many people...good luck getting one at all. Entertainment was karaoke Mariachi band Trivia Unless you head to the theatre to see shows which were ok. Pools are clean and nice temp Beach was nice you can walk to Bucerias it's not far Prices in Bucerias are Gringo prices compared to other parts of mexico. Grocery store is expensive same prices as Canada..no savings Gotta get up at 6am to get a chair in the shade..good luck Get the InDrive app it's cheaper to book a ride with them Bucerias-PV cab is 550peso Indrive 250peso If you head to a restuarant or bar like jax the martini is $14 cad Went to a nice Italian restuarant on the water meal was $100 cad and that was with no drinks. Paco taco you can get a meal there for $10 The street bus on highway to sayulita was 30 peso each Avoid this resort save your cash and visit PV...you won't need cab and more nicer hotels.

I took my 4 sons and my husband here and we had the most amazing time! The entertainment was great , the food was delicious, and the beach was beautiful! We felt welcomed right from the moment we got off the bus . The only thing I would say could use improvement is at certain times you can’t get food , not long times but a couple times we were famished and had to wait an hour .. all in all we cannot wait to return!!!!

This is not an artzy fartzy resort - but very comfortable! We truly had a very good time! I have absolutely nothing to complain about. It is walking distance to downtown - and we walked there almost every day to see what the locals were up to.

Decent hotel. Basic rooms. Too many rooms for my liking. Had to fight for beach and pool chairs. I would not recommend the a la cartes. Buffet food was decent. Too many locals selling merchandise on the beach. Always haggling. Markets in Bucerias a 15-minute walk.

Grounds well taken care of, rooms clean. Bar and restaurant staff are great. They work hard here. It's an older style hotel and they are working on so many improvements over the years. LOVE the location close to Bucerious and local stores. Suggestions: Icecream open at dinner, not just lunch. Face cloths standard in bathrooms. It would be nice to get more umbrella and chairs at pool and beach. I need some shade.

overall nice experience at this resort, great staff, great grounds, good food, comfortable bed. The only bean on the rice would be very outdated furniture, cheap woodwork, more attention is needed on this subject. Thank you Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias for a great stay!!!!.

This hotel has seen better days, I'm sure. The rooms show their age. Housekeeping was minimal and soap was almost an after thought. Drinking water in the room is scarce. Very few understand English. Pool loungers were all reserved before 6:30am. Most were unoccupied all day but had possessions on them (towels, bags, books or clothing). Food was good except birds kept getting into the buffet trays. Reservations for ala cart were booked up before 8:00am, never got in one so can't say how they were. All that said, the grounds were beautiful and well kept. I have been to Royal Decameron in Panama, (loved it) and this does not hold a candle to it. Would not go back, all though the town it's self was a lot of fun. Great night life outside of resort!

We like small resorts with lots of greens/trees etc. Especially the huts in garden like settings are very nice and comfortable. The 5 beaches are nice but small and the windy weather allowed body surfing more than swimming! Facilities and food are good but moderate. Did not use the pool so no rating. The beach bar was under renovation which did not affect us but if your room is at the far east end then it is a long walk to get a beer!

I took my mom here for a late birthday gift. The property is pretty large with 5 or 6 blocks of rooms, lots of pools, a tennis court. The grounds were beautifully maintained and the entire resort was clean all the time; the staff really did a great job with that. The rooms were outdated as a lot of other people mentioned which we didn't care. We were in block 2, which was very close to the beach, but also very close to the evening entertainment and it was quite loud late in the evening. I brought earplugs and slept fine. One issue with our room was that the main light didn't work and 2 of the 4 outlets didn't work. We only used the room to sleep so we didn't mention anything until we left, and we worked out the outlets so it was fine. The buffet was mediocre, pretty average from my experiences. We only ate one a la carte restaurant during the 7 days were there. It was difficult to get a booking as the app wasn't working, and you had to go line up at 7:30am in one of the lobby's, which we didn't find out until the second last day. It wasn't a big deal for us as we did a few excursions which included dinner, and we went into the town of Bucerias to eat at local restaurants a couple of nights. The beach.... this was my first time on the West side of Mexico, near Puerto Vallarta and I was very happy and enjoyed every day on the beach and in the ocean. I spent time on the Pacific Coast in Canada as a kid and swam in the ocean often. I didn't find the ocean too cold, it was quite choppy and rough at times, so we just timed appropriate times to spend some time in the ocean. This is not a "party" resort, which is what we wanted. Thanks so much to Sandra who helped me figure out an appropriate location and resort which would suit my needs!!

I can't say enough how much I enjoyed my stay. I have to start with the staff. They were so friendly and accommodating. I must say the cleanliness of the entire resort was amazing. I heard a few complain about the food. I never had a problem finding something I enjoyed. You must realize it's not a steak and lobster buffet. This was my first trip to Mexico and my first all inclusive vacation. You can be sure, I'll be back.

Love the Hotel but love the staff much better, very friendly people, so much fun with smiles and laughter 3 hotels to enjoy on the same beach to enjoy. We had a wonderful time and we would recommend to our friends.
