The Pyramid Cancun: management and service have deteriorated
My husband and I stayed here a year ago. We liked the hotel and everything was fine. A year later, a lot has changed. The staff steals during cleaning! If you're coming here for the first time, don't forget to use the safe if you have valuables or money. When we reported the problem of our expensive items being missing, the manager said, "That's your problem." I also want to point out the bartenders' work; they only respect Mexicans. If I came from Europe, am I lower class or what? This is ridiculous! I'm sorry, it's unpleasant when bartenders only hear Spanish and serve them, even though I was next in line. Dear General Manager, change your organization, otherwise you have no future. Thank you very much! We won't come back to you!

Grand Oasis Cancun: Unfortunately we won't be coming back
The amenities inntue resort are great. The staff from the activities in the pool are friendly and welcoming. Coffee staff and bar staff are not friendly. Food was ok. Pork and chicken everyday for dinner no fish, salmon barely beef. If you dont have an upgrade to pyramid doesn't seem like they care too much about you. I had money stolen from my room. 4 bills of 50 dollars (second day of my stay) I reported to management, security but they only feed back I hear is, we are looking into it. To he honest I dont think they cared.

Grand Oasis Riviera: Not worth it!!
To start with the $125.00 cdn for the environmental fee, ridiculous. The fact they only give you a couple bottles of water and coke in your mini fridge the first day and then you have to pay if you want anymore. Buffet breakfast is terrible, burnt to a crisp bacon everyday. No entertainment at all unless you eat at Mexican restaurant then you can hear a Miriachi band. Not worth the money, would never go back

Grand Oasis Cancun: The resort is good; however, the beach area is not well maintained!
Here is a clear and corrected version of your text: The resort is very large, and if you are looking for a party atmosphere, you will be happy. The pool area, however, is too small for a hotel of this size. If you have regular admission, you need to go very early to reserve a spot. The beach is large but not well maintained. There were a lot of seaweed. There are only approximately 20 umbrellas and 40 sun loungers for a resort with about 2,000 people. One day we went at 7 a.m., and there were only two broken loungers left. People go very early to place a towel and reserve spots. No one is actually on the beach, but many loungers are already taken.

Grand Oasis Riviera: very nice place
Staying at this resort was nice. Even though 1.30 hr. from airport , we were pleased to observe cleanliness , appreciate the diversity of pools designed and grounds respecting local nature, personnel was accommodating. Restaurants and food well maintained, food not as diverse, sweets do need more improvement ,as well as drinks from bars.

Grand Oasis Riviera: A wonderful relaxing stay.
I recommend the hotel for its beach and restaurants. I would not recommend the Italian restaurant but all others were fantastic. The grounds were very well kept and while some guests valued the regular visits from the local raccoons and coatis in some outdoor dining areas I was not a fan. Staff were very helpful and the day manager Anna was wonderful, helping to arrange something special for my wife and I on our anniversary. I would go back again.

Grand Oasis Riviera: Loved it
Honestly loved our stay. Was truly amazing. Staff was very nice and helpful. Room was amazing, beach was nice pool was nice food was great. Only bad thing i could say was the lack of pool/beach chairs. Could normally find some but two days ended up without but not too big of a deal. Bars opening at 11 seemed a bit late but also not a big problem. Overall loved it, I know it has mixed reviews but I truly don’t have much bad to say at all. Would highly recommend.

Grand Oasis Riviera: Great for the price
Overall, we had a great stay. After reading the reviews, I understand what people mean with their bad experiences. I am not a very picky person, so I take all reviews with a grain of salt. What is bad for some people, isn't necessarily bad for everyone. That being said, we ended up getting an updated room. One side of the resort is updated, while the other isn't. So that was where a lot of complaints came from. Honestly, my only real complaint was that the staff weren't overly friendly. Yes, there were some who were absolutely wonderful (mostly at the lobby and coffee bars). But overall, the staff weren't very pleasant. It always seemed like we were bothering the front desk staff - pack your patience. And the rest of the staff barely cared to say hello back to us. The food was good. Nothing spectacular, but average, lots of variety, and we didn't starve. The restaurants were good! The Italian was my favourite ?. The beach was okay. We are used to the beautiful beaches in Cuba, so this was VERY different. And the sargassum came in earlier than usual, which didn't help. Water shoes are a must if you want to go in the water! This was also a pretty quiet resort. Not a lot going on. There were a few daily activities by the pool and some evening entertainment, but nothing over the top. Some tips - if you can bring smaller Mexican pesos ($20 & $50's) for tipping great. But they were only able to exchange some for us once. They say they prefer pesos, but the front desk only have change for US $1. Also, this resort is about a 2 hour bus ride from the airport. Thank you for having us.

The Sens Riviera: Loved this place!
Just the right size with great facilities, rooms, restaurants, and pools. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The timing was a little off as there was a lot of seaweed on the beach for the first few days but the pools were great and never too crowded.

The Sens Riviera: Beautiful Resort but.....
We were pleasantly surprised by the lovely spacious room we received. Even though we requested two beds we were fine with the one large one. Pools, atmosphere and really everything was perfect. Tony and Gastavo went above and beyond with the extracurricular activities. We had so much fun doing watercolor and volleyball with these two. They made Aqua Aerobics really fun and yoga was perfect. Our but is the service was lacking extremely long waits once seated in the restaurant (Japanese one inparticular) 1 hr wait for any food. We woukd ask for a drink they woukd forget ask again and still not get anything. The day pool and beach bar had one staff and the waits were far too long and sometimes they were there and sometimes not. Didn't know how long would be gone. The fast food restaurant ran out of plates daily. Again one guy who looked like he hated his job and we ended up giving up everyday to try to get something from there. Forget about getting a drink at the buffet you were finished your meal by the time anyone came around. Same with the coffee shop one oetson to service everyone in the morning. Also ypu shoukd have someone vlean uo the seaweed at first we did but then seemed they just gave up. This place could be a 5 star if you just got the staff.

Grand Oasis Cancun: Gran Oasis Hotel
Well, in spite of the fact this hotel has very bad reviews, and we were afraid of them our experience was very positive. Of course, is not a new hotel, rooms look kind of old but they are very functional and also we weren't planning to be inside the room. Food was amazing. Shows and entertainment was super good. Only negative we went when US spring breakers were there and yep they were drunk, almost naked and very loud even at midnights. We just went to the other side of the hotel where it was more familiar. Employees were very friendly. Buildings and rooms were very clean. Beach is walking distance which is amazing they do not have to much shades and just a few sun seat so we used the big towels they provided to us. We were 13 ppl and all of us were asking why the hotel has had reviews? Should we go again? Absolutely !!!

Grand Oasis Riviera: Resort needs more staff
Resort grounds are well kept. Lots of places to walk amongst the trees/greenery away from the beach. Resort seem to have way too many guest levels: blue wrist band, black wrist band and clear wrist band. As expected, the color of the band will determine what you have access to. Seems like blue band are the lowest. Plus areas exclusive for Sens, Sian Khan and other... There is no Bacardi rum of any color at any of the bars I visited. That should give you and indication of what to expect. If your taste is preferential towards top shelf alcohol then explore other resorts within the same price range. Food is a hit and miss. Line-up is everywhere at opening hours for all the restaurants. Beach is very narrow and loaded with sea weeds. They are not removed. Water is o.k. Some rocks here and there. Snorkeling is great. If you are Canadian, a $91 US is payable for a 7 night stay. Watch out...you can only pay it in US dollars or Mexican pesos...What utter B.S. I will not go back.

Grand Oasis Riviera: Truly an amazing stay!
We recently stayed at the Grand Oasis Riviera resort. We had a fabulous week stay. We loved how clean and friendly staff were. The food was very good and lots of options to enjoy. We particularly loved how quiet the resort was. Always somewhere to sit and enjoy a beverage. Our room was on the first floor and our building was very close to the main pool. However just outside the patio doors of our room was a 3.5 foot deep pool and lounge chairs. So most of our time was spent here reading and enjoying the sunshine. We took advantage of the sports bar cafe and enjoyed coffee and snacks from here each day. We have stayed in other resorts in Mexico and found this resort to be by far our favorite. We would definitely stay here again.

Grand Oasis Riviera: Not Great
I did not enjoy my stay. I was charged $2000. In addition to the 3000. I was initially charged for Cuba. I changed because of the Cuba crisis I hoped this resort would be worth $5000. But it was not. The room had air conditioning issues and an actually flooded. We could never get a chair on the beach because people kept putting towels and personal belongings on them during the night and then not actually using the chairs until late afternoon. We told the staff and they said they would remove the towels but didn’t. We were also told we couldn’t be at some of the pools or restaurants but we paid $5000.00!!!! Never booking a grand oasis again and telling all of our friends

Grand Oasis Cancun: Amazing but way to big
Excellent hotel beautiful beach and pools. But with the booking we where not able to eat in the restaurants as they where booked for the week and there level that we where booked with was last if there was a space. Never offered the upper levels. So you ate at the buffet for the week. House keeping and bar replenishments where non existent for the week we had to run and ask daily to get towels and water The best part of the vacation was the weather

Grand Oasis Riviera: Very Relaxing and Quiet Resort
First of all we want to thank Beth for all her help with booking our group of 10, she was absolutely amazing!! The Resort was super quiet but nice if you were looking for a relaxing getaway, which we were. We got to stay in the new building furthest from the beach but the rooms were WOW! We had a pool directly off our bottom floor Terrance with our own Sun beds and 4 layout chairs. We had a few issues with the rooms but very quickly fixed up, but we were the first ones staying here. Super clean, had our own private pool and a full bar which was nice considering we were the farthest from buffet and main pool, but we didn't use the main pool once. All the staff were amazing, some had a bit of a language barrier but very quick to get out google translator and we were good to go! Beach had a lot of coral which wasn't the best for swimming but the guys loved the snorkeling they did. Also a lot of moss on beach. The food and drinks were both top notch, we went to Italian and Mexican restaurants and both were very good. Mike's Coffee bar had amazing iced coffees too We didn't book adult only but we felt as though we did, our pool was perfect and having a bar and pool directly outside your room was a bonus. Our room numbers were 1116, 1117, & 1118 then we had one couple on second floor and one on third, same building. If you go for beach, I would choose a different resort but if you just want to relax at the pool ask for the first building.

Grand Oasis Cancun: Not what was expected.
Staff were good with guests, May spoke English and only a few did not. Cleanliness NEEDS work. Better description of the resort is required. You must upgrade an additional $400/nt cad to have bacon at the buffet. It’s really 3 resorts on one property. Food variety (there is none). Same food every day but it is cooked well. Only 1 tender at each bar and no blenders for drinks. Had to chase housekeeping to replenish room coffee and floor was not swept once. No option when booking to upgrade to white or black bracelet. Blue bracelet: access to about 50% bars and restaurants. White: about 75% ($200/nt extra) black: 100% resort access for about $400/nt extra.

Grand Oasis Riviera: Beyond expectations
This hotel seems as though it was plopped down in the center of the jungle. There is plenty of trees, flowers and wildlife to keep you entertained. Our oom was exceptional. First ones in it as it had been newly built. It had all amenities a person would want. His and hers sinks. Toilet separate from the shower which was huge. Out on our patio was our own personal cabana and a pool we shared with 4 other rooms. Outsode of that was the pool for the building and the bar with bartender from the hours of 10 - 6. It was about a 7 minute walk to get to the restaurants. However for us that was just walking off all the food we over ate. Paths were well lit with lots of fountains. There is a cart that can be called to pick you up if you prefer that. The restaurants had delicious and well prepared foods in both Mexican tradition and European tastes. If you can't find something you like there is always salads, fruit, parfaits, and fresh bread and rolls. The store at the hotel is well stocked with the things we tend to forget about when you are packing. The staff was happy to help, they know customer service. If you need a pick me up stop by the coffee shop. They serve an amazing variety. Try to taste them all. You will also find football and pool tables to keep you entertained The main pool has the kids zone and the taco bar. Dont leave your food unattended the Coati like to steal food if you are not careful. The beach you should be prepared for. There is a lot of reef and rocks to walk around. Take your swim shoes. The staff warned us about urchins as well. Once you get out into that warm and beautiful water you will see all types of aquatic life. Take a snorkel. It is an amazing sight. One we are happy we experienced. Our main downfall other then coming home was not being able to find the sunwing/nexus representative. The hotel has blended the sens and the oasis into one and there are 2 lobbies. We found out the day before we left that the representative is not allowed past the gate and is using a part of the building where u get dropped off at. That is a lobby as well. Our concern was if the representative was needed we couldn't find them. Even the employees at the hotel would not inform you where he/she was. The airport was chaos when we landed but the departure was much better organized. The drive from Cancun is long, be prepared. Overall we loved our stay. To us it was 5 star.

The hotel has very goofy offerings and does not allow the Nexus representatives to be onsite. Carlos from Nexus works out of the welcome Center at the gate. Grand Oasis Riviera: Grand Oasis Akamal Review
The hotel was beautiful..our room was huge..and cleaned perfectly every day. The food was excellent. However the beach was terrible .all coral and rocks. You absolutely need water shoes. Quite a steep entrance to the ocean, I fell every time getting in, and out. But the snorkeling is fabulous! The hotel has a very poor departure system . You need to sign out by 12 noon. You are told if you don't get to the buffet by 12:30, you will not get any food til your bus leaves. Mine left at 6:10. So no food unless, I paid for a late checkout..$45. US til 2:00 pm or $65 US. Til 6:00 PM. STRICTLY a money grab. I will not be back to this hotel again!!

Grand Oasis Riviera: Great Snorkeling right on the hotel beach
The hotel was nice. They are still renovating and most of the renos are on the adults only side. The hotel is small so there is not a lot of walking. The service in general was great. The food was ok. There was always something we liked. They did have chicken nuggets at the buffet for lunch and breakfast. There is also a little restaurant by the pool area which had a little buffet (fajitas, pizza, fruit and veggies) and the burgers, hot dogs and french fries. The coffee bar is great. The beach is not as long as the pictures-the one side is rocky so not a lot of people swimming on that side. There is definitely not enough beach chairs for the non adult side -by 9am. They did have a little show most of the nights-but we never went so I can’t comment on that.

Grand Oasis Riviera: Wonderful Resort
The resort was beautiful, small and easy excess to all activities. Rooms were beautiful spacious and well kept. The coffee shop was amazing and the hard working staff friendly! The activity staff were the best! Would like to make a shoutout to Andrea, Gabrielle, Cindy and Tony who made our beach days fun! The beach was very rocky and hard to get into the water. The negative :is not having a Sunwing Rep at the hotel for any concerns. Was frustrated about check out I have never been to a resort that check out is at 12 bracelets cut and told we can no longer use the facilities for buffet and bar. Our pick up time to leave the hotel was 6:10 at night and to be told that we can no longer use eat or drink was disappointing! The resort itself is decent. Grounds are kept and neat. Exterior maintenance on the buildings you stay in is lacking. (Orange buildings) Broken screens, broken roof tiles, stucco broken, balcony rail broken. Needs a lot of work. Interior is ok at best. Buffet, coffee shop and seafood restaurant are all good. Stay away from the Italian restaurant. Website says there are tennis courts but there aren't any. Beach is small but thr snorkeling is good. There is a reef about 100m out which shelters swimmers so much safer than open ocean.

The grounds & rooms are beautiful. Loved no reservations required for Ala carte restaurants. I was shocked to find that i had to pay resort environmental fee of $126 USD when I checked it. I was dissatisfied that they do not restock your mini fridge with pop & beer (only stocked for arrival day) after that they only restock water! I was disappointed with the entertainment as it was sorely lacking at the resort. While at the resort pools are freezing cold very uncomfortable & 1 pool had steps that were very slippery which i avoided as 2 people slipped and hurt themselves.

Grand Oasis Riviera: Very dissatisfied
The staff were not very friendly. I would usually get wine with dinner, but wouldn't relieve it until after dinner Supposed to be all inclusive, but the housekeeping wanted to charge me to fill up my mini bar. The beach was very tiny, and we had a Karen on the beach. She yelled at people that she owned her room on the beach and no one was allowed near her. She yelled at me for smoking and was an annoying nag. The bars didn't open until 11 am and closed at 7. No food available at night time after dinner, only muffins or cookies. The lifeguard was more interested in his phone then keeping an eye on guests, he also liked to pick his nose while sitting there. Lifeguard also blew his nose and spit in the shower outside that you use to wash off sand. A waitress blew her nose in a napkin, and then polished a cup with the used napkin. Also didn't even wash her hands. Very disgusted with this place. I feel like I lost my money and I really didn't want to stay the seven days I couldn't wait to get home. Dont waste your money here.

Grand Oasis Palm: Do not book this hotel
It took over 1 hour to check in and we were 2nd in line at 1am. The front desk lady refused to check in my mom in her own room saying that her room was not ready and then changed her mind and said she had to go to a different lobby in another building for someone to check her in. When she got there, they told her the original lady should have checked her in and this is now 2 hours later. Pools are not heated so they are extremely cold. They are all well over 5'7 feet even at the kids waterside by the pirate ship so you need to have a life jacket for them unless they are extremely good swimmers. There are no loungers around the pools and not enough on the beach. If you want a lounger, you must grab one before 715am. The APP to book a la cartes was working however, we were never able to book even right at 8am when the reservation system opened because they were always "full". Rooms are small and always smelled musty. The bathrooms were even smaller! Food was very much the same each day with 1 or 2 dishes that were swapped. During the week, there is no evening entertainment until 930pm so there is nothing to do after dinner until the night show. Weekends they do have live music or some activities starting around 8pm. Bars close really early at 1130 throughout the resort with the exception of 1 bar that I believe closes at 1230. I am not a picky traveller and have gone to places like Cuba and although their food is pretty bad, the resorts and overall experience there is so much better.

The room was disgusting. Plain whitish plaster walls with no decoration. Balcony was filthy and there are broken roof tiles all over. Third floor with no elevators so three flights of stone stairs to climb. As we are both seniors not very comfortable. Tried to complain to management to get a decent room but no help. We were told to meet with the Sunwing rep in the lobby the day after arrival but no rep was there and the front desk said they never see a rep. We were also not told that there were three levels of guests and we were the lowest so we were not allowed to use certain restaurants and pools. This is by far the worst resort we have ever stayed at in the five times we have visited Mexico. We will never use Sunwing again and this awful place should be removed from your brochures. I have never needed to complain before but this was a vacation from hell. I have photos depicting the run down accomodations

Grand Oasis Riviera: Amazing resort!
Awesome resort! We had a fantastic time at this resort! From the minute we arrived until we left, we were treated with much regard, kindness and helpfulness by all the staff there. Shout out to Evelyn (I'm bad with names, but I'm pretty sure that's her name) at the reception desk - so helpful and pleasant, as were all of the reception staff! Loved being served every day by Juan at the beach bar - check out the mango margarita - delicious! The restaurants were fantastic! Mv only complaint was I didn't discover the Japanese restaurant until the last night - amazing! All of the wait staff were attentive, polite and hard working. Shout out to Victor and to Rose at the restaurant reception desk. No reservations required for these restaurants and very little to no wait times to get in the a la carte. The buffet was also very good morning, noon and night. Don't forget to tip these amazing hard working people. The beach was beautiful every day - the last 2 days lots of seaweed came in - it was too overwhelming for the maintenance staff to deal with. The public washrooms were always clean - which I am sure is quite the fear given the amount of people in and out of them all day! We loved our room - so spacious and roomy! The swim up pool at the foot of our patio was the icing on the cake! Will return next year❤️❤️

Grand Oasis Cancun: Worst trip for stress
We had nothing but stress on this trip. Air. Ananda royally dropped the ball on this one. Changing plane schedules without notice. To the worst possibly run resort in history. We were greeted with rudeness and conflict. Absolutely no help from them and we had to go on our own to find our room without help or direction after our 8 hour late plane ride landing us there without transportation to the resort. Then the place had so many blocked areas that had to be paid for before entering. So much for all inclusive. Too bad this place is run so bad as it is actually a beautiful place. And again on the way home air canada was late and we had to run to get to our connecting flight. What a stress tha we did not need and wanted to get away from. Now I hope that after buying many tickets over the last 2 years trip central can step up to the plate and help us recover all the extra money we had to spend just to stay there.

Grand Oasis Riviera: Grand Oasis Tulum Mexico
Our check in was a little disturbing ...when we found out our room was on the 3 floor with 25 steps up.. We were shocked..this hotel does not have elevators..My travel partner freaked when she realized it and directly when to the Lobby to explain .. She is 65 years old and I am 72..omg...They finally with some discussion put us on the 2'd floor..12 steps up..what else could we do?? Also very surprised to learn the Sewer Tax was 139.00 dollars American not the very small amount we were told. The Room Was absolutely beautiful, great beds, lots of good soft pillows.. immaculate.. The food was amazing, lots of fresh fruit, every kind of meat, shrimp, on & on... Fresh Salad bar with great variety. Has a specially Coffee shop which was great. The Beach was unkept, lots of garbage around..hardly any beach lounges.. The Pools around the Hotel were nice but very cold..not many people used them. Complained they were so cold. Snorkeling was a 4 out of 10..Very rocky, very cloudy, Would not recommend this for anyone that wants to snorkel. No night entertainment..when it gets dark the day is done. People working their were very nice. The 1hour & 30 was a long way to and from the airport, bumpy, but the Transfer Bus was very nice.

Grand Oasis Palm: Needs Improvement
Unfortunately the resort was very underwhelming. The resort did not at all look like the pictures. Very outdated. Very overcrowded. Limited food options and cold, when available. Never any pool chairs. Staff were very kind though when they did assist (which was limited, due to overcrowding)

Grand Oasis Cancun: My Opinion
If you are ok with being in a line for EVERYTHING then you will be ok with this resort. Buffets don’t hold enough people so expect a lengthy line up. Once in, don’t expect any salsa and butter not always available. If you like to drink, get 2 and just go to the back of the line. You’ll have finished your drinks by the time you get back to the front. Entertainment is slim to none. You have to make your own. The resort closes everything by 10:30 or 11:00pm, again make your own fun. There about 30 lounge chairs on the beach. All will be reserved by 8:00am. The beach , ocean and rooms are fantastic. Service doesn’t really exist. This resort is all about what YOU make of it. My expectations were low but not low enough. ?

Grand Oasis Palm: Three Star Resort with Five Star Staff
This was my second time at the Grand Oasis Palm in Cancun. Having had a fair amount of experience in the Cancun and the Mayan Riviera all the way to Tulum, I write this review with that experience in mind. While by facilities alone, I would call the Grand Oasis Palm only a three star, there were five star elements to it. The staff at this resort were amazing, going out of their way to make us feel warmly welcomed and saw to any needs we had with the highest level of professionalism. This positive comment applies to all the staff from the beach bar, reception, serving staff and others who worked tirelessly, doing their best to make the vacationing experience as best possible. As for food service, I will only comment on the buffet that had a large selection of well prepared and presented dishes to choose from. The soups were outstanding and the variety of sushi was surprisingly good. The facility is a little weathered overall where it is overdue for renovations. The resort needs a lobby bar. Once the rain pounds, there is only one other day time bar on the Oasis side to get beverages (other than table service at the restaurants). The sports bar is limited in both size and drink selection. The busy beach bar is wonderful, but it definitely needs an additional bartender, or two. I do recommend the Grand Oasis Palm in Cancun as a budget friendly, all inclusive resort but I do see this facility as a three star with five star staff and four star buffet, therefore overall, I selected four stars for this review.

Great staff, good service, food at restaurants not hot enough, but ok, lots of entertainment, beach has powder sand, waters very shallow, perfect for children and adults too. Buffet food ok, but not very hot either. Overall, it’s a good place to get away from cold Canada!

Grand Oasis Riviera: Not For Young Couples
The resort staff, cleanliness and the beach were phenomenal. The resort however was not as described. The Sports Bar is not a bar and serves zero alcohol, the bars close at 6pm, except the lobby and theater bar which sometimes closed at 11pm, or 2pm. Their is only 1 pool bar and they dont play music or have any sort of entertainment there. Perfect resort to sit and read a book, not a good resort if you want to have a drink and dance the night away. The snack bar closed at 6pm. The buffet had a 1+ wait some nights. The resort was beautiful but it is definitely more for people above 55+ and who do not like to drink or party. My travel agent was phenomenal and very helpful but the resort is not as advertised.

Grand Oasis Riviera: It’s ok for the price
First impressions weren’t great to be honest. No welcome drink, room was hot upon arrival as the AC was off, and our fridge wasn’t working (it was heating drinks instead of cooling them) so needless to say we were in desperate search of a cold drink after checking in and getting to our room. Our fridge was fixed the next day after a reminder to the front desk. Also regarding the fridge: only the water was restocked all week, not the sodas or beer. Before I get into more negatives, we enjoyed the beach, pins coladas and family time together; the kids enjoyed the pools as well; it’s a quiet resort and we could find some peaceful pool areas to relax by ourselves. Back to the negatives: the nightly shows were low-effort and pointless to attend; the staff didn’t seem too happy to be there which makes me think they are either underpaid or treated poorly; the buffet lacks variety (though it’s a small resort so that probably reduces food waste); if you’re a big drinker you may find that there are a lack of bars throughout the resort that stay open all the time (the 2 outside bars are open from 11 am- 6 pm and we later found out that there is 1 bar inside the very quiet lobby that is open at different times) so if you want to avoid people partying then that will be a bonus for you. We had a good vacation but when we come back we will likely avoid this resort.

The Sens Cancun: Boutique Hotel, vacation package not as advertised but overall good trip
We paid for adults only, hotel was filled with families and small children. Hotel areas and rooms were clean. Ambience during the day and night was lovely. No reservations taken for dinners and therefore had to wait an hour or could not get in. Overall, I didn’t eat like I was at all inclusive. Portions were small and food was mediocre except for one or two meals and snacks. Beach club was amazing! Unfortunately, the hotel concierge didn’t explain the perks I paid for such as access to the private club, Sensoria so I paid extra daily for the beach club for 5 out of my 7 day stay, and also, as we couldn’t get beach chairs at 8:30am., since all were full, everyday it seemed. Some staff friendly while most neutral. If you don’t speak Spanish, ultimately, expect different treatment. Beach area was small but nice and clean for most part, with lots of seagulls though. The comfort of the hotel and chill vibes coupled by the gorgeous weather (compared to Canada) and excursion outside of hotel was the highlight of my trip. Booking info on trip central was not fully accurate nor transparent with indications of a mandatory departure tax in Cancun that was not necessary to pay and the requirement not to pay for pre-baggage fees since Sunwing Vacations includes one checked bag. This was not transparent at the booking. I was told I would receive a voucher for these costs.

The Pyramid Cancun: Stay far far away
I don’t write reviews ever but this calls for a warning to anyone going to this resort. Rude staff and poor buffets. A la carts were acceptable. We arrived to be told my pal and I would be staying in a king bed. It took two days to rectify this only due to the fact that our room smelt like someone painted a car in it and I an asthmatic. All of a sudden a room was available with a two double beds. Also, no alcohol after 11pm and the casino is permanently closed. All news to us as we were told opposite on both prior to booking. Grand Oasis Riviera: Messy check in
Grand Oasis Hotel is the last resort in that part of the Mayan Riviera. The drive is smooth and a little over an hour, but the service is outstanding. The resort is new, It has a unique design and impressive architecture. The rooms are located in different areas, connected to the main building with little paths. The resort is great for families with children. There were different-sized pools spread between the palm trees. I noticed even a small pool for young kids. The resort is kept clean, and the bathrooms are state-of-the-art. It has a variety of pools and bars, activity areas, and a fancy cafe open 24 hr. One can play pool there, enjoy a chit-chat over a cappuccino, espresso, sweet delights, or relax and watch TV. No alcohol is served in that cafe, and it seemed to be a preferred spot for families. The service in the buffet is the friendliest, The food is excellent. We loved their buffet, which is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and it was so much fun with the variety of dishes. No need for fancy dressing. However, the check-in was challenging. There was no Sunwing rep. I've been in other destinations where the rep meets everyone at the airport and, upon arrival in the hotel, holds an orientation session where the stay is explained in detail and the return to the airport is set so everybody can enjoy their time, with no confusion, worries about the departure date. Sunwing rep was available if needed assistance. That is a key moment to have a relaxing holiday, and guarantee to visit again. On arrival at the Lobby, the front desk looked like a flea market experiencing an emergency. It took almost 2 hours to fill out the forms. Everyone else was popping in from all sides, with a simple question, and they were attended to first. The basics, which were supposed to be in the fridge, were missing, not even water. I went to the reception 3 times to ask for assistance, and only on day 3, they delivered two bottles of water. This is happening upon arrival, and I began to feel anxious. There were other issues, like how to book the shuttle back to the airport, and no help with this request either. I was looking for the Sunwing rep to assist me and stop the circus created by the reception management. When I asked about a Sunwing representative, the answer I was given was that this hotel doesn't have a Sunwing rep. Overall, I liked the resort, the food, the live entertainment, and the unique pools spread all around. I believe that staying in Grand Oasis could have been a different experience in the presence of a Sunwing rep to assist the guests. Be aware of a front desk employee who can make you regret traveling to Mexico. It happens on check-in when you are pressed to upgrade your room for an average of an additional $600 a week. It seemed to me that the front desk management controls how the operations should go. One must be firm and resist the sales ad vances. It is important to remember not to leave the resort. I would go back there because the resort is wonderful, offers a variety of activities. It is great for couples and families. Enjoying it shouldn't be affected by the poor customer service at the front desk but that was a result of a lack of reps. I met the front desk manager, a quite intimidating lady. If there were a Sunwing rep, the stay at Grand Oasis would not be so stressful.

Grand Oasis Cancun: Fun spring break trip
The resort as a whole was massive, food 24/7 available. A downfall was that at midnight there are no longer bars (nightlife) on the resort open, which comes as a surprise for having such a high reputation as being a "party" spot. The room was okay, lots of minor issues. Remote control didn't work, fridge was barely stocked, and if it was, we only received a few bottles of water even after tipping. The beds only had 1 sheet on them and no comforter or any other blankets, making it very uncomfortable. The water is only cold at night as they must shut off the hot water after a certain time. Also not fun if you want to have a late shower or bath. Was disappointed to see that on the beach there were very few beach chairs to lay on. It was very rare to see ones that were free, even for just the two of us. Staff itself as always very kind, no issues there. When I had arrived I was faced with a major issue. The hotel did not have our reservation at all so we had to wait 2 hours in the lobby at midnight after arriving, just to get to our room. We were pretty stressed out and considered even going to book a hotel for the night somewhere else and try to have our travel insurance cover it. Not sure if this was an issue with the booking company or the resort itself but not a fun time after travelling all day and being exhausted. All in all it was a very fun trip considering the cost we paid and I would return, but would definitely make the resort aware of the issues immediately when checking in instead of letting things slide.

Grand Oasis Palm: It was OK
The hotel is dated, but kept clean. The Sens side was nicer and newer. We ate at the buffet on that side almost every meal. Look up where it is on the map. It’s next to a harbor and you have large ships going in and out multiple times a day. It’s definitely not a quiet, tranquil location. But the kids loved it. The “Le Petite Chef” restaurant was a hit with everyone in our group.

Grand Oasis Riviera: What a beautiful stay!
My husband and I stayed at the Grand Oasis Tulum Riviera with our two 15 year old daughters for a week in March and loved our stay. We had a nice room pool side that was impeccably maintained. The beach was beautiful even though there was some algae brought in by the waves. The water and fish and wildlife were incredible. The food was amazing in every restaurant we visited even the buffet. So many choices and varieties to satisfy every pallet. The staff were pleasant and curtious and eager to help. Thank you Lorenzo for your assistance and Daniel for the history chats. Grand Oasis Palm: The most discusting hotel worst of the worst
We arrived there and the room we got had no fridge. No microwave.. no balcony.. we had to pay extra 450$ U.S for upgrade to have a so called better room with what they called a bar service… we never recieved any bar service at all the whole 7 days we were there and they only came to bring water and drinks on our last day when we were checking out!!! Every day I was in the lobby front seat asking for water !!! Our room was never getting cleaned!!!our toilet was always clogging and takes them hours to come fix it and it was always clogging!! The rooms are so ridiculous and dirty and smelly!!! The hotel was full of only locals and barely any visitors from other countries! Some of the security guards were so rude !!! The food is so discusting and I I found some pizza that was cooked with rotten and green fungus molded bread and some fruits that was very rotten and moldy and I bring it to the server’s attention showed it to them and told them to remove it as people can get very sick and possibly die and they just agreed with me to my face and apologize and then they never did anything about it and I watched the cook add more in the buffet after they ran out as I watched so many kids and older people eating it and I took pictures and showed it to client services and again nothing was done about it!!! All the food was sooo bad and discusting and rotten and it was the same food very single day!!! I even et to leave but was stuck as they wouldn’t refund me for any of the days and there was no availability any other hotels as it was spring break!!!! I had to take my kids and go out to eat in other restaurants downtown as I couldn’t take any risk in that hotel!!! I wish I could download pictures of the food u would throw up just looking at it!!! It was vacation from hell!!! The beach was light blue water at 6/7 am but by 10 am it would be brown and yellow and soooo dirty because of all the boats literally beside the hotel and water was full of engine oil and motor fumes and gas leaks and would turn the water brown it was so dirty and u would find broken glass bottles and cigarettes butts all over the sand ! It’s definitely not a place for kids or a place to enjoy!!! I been to Mexico 4 times now and now I will never ever go back !!! Worst stay of my life!!! If there was a no star on this rating I would’ve been selecting it because this hotel doesn’t even deserve the one star!!! Don’t understand how this place still open!!! I guess that’s why it’s all locals there!!!

Grand Oasis Riviera: Buyer’s remorse
The facility is old, the rooms are musty and damp, unless you pay extra to get a cleaner room without ants. The entire resort is in bed and shut down by 11:00pm. The entertainment is minimal. I night per week for 1.5 hours of karaoke. If anything, the food was fantastic which was a blessing. Bartender Fernando was overworked and underpaid for the relentless alcohol consumption by some of the “swim up bar” locals.

Hotel is very old and ugly. Rooms are small and not sound proof. Beach is not swimmable, big waves and red flag all 10 days. Guests are very loud day and night so it was impossible to sleep. Food at the basic restaurants was not edible so we had to pay 1000CAD for two of us for the upgrade and that was the only good thing about this hotel. Nobody cleans the lounge beds on the beach or around the pool. I would rate this hotel as 3* max.

Grand Oasis Cancun: Don’t go!
As you know my partner and I just returned from the Grand oasis, Cancun. From the departure to the arrival. It was complete garbage. We were unable to sit next to each other. Getting to cancun international was another 3 hour fiasco. Our luggage and lines were overwhelming. Upon arriving, it was desk after desk before anyone knew who we were. Getting there so late in the evening we basically lost a day of our trip. The next 5 days were disastrous rain and cold. The rain prevented us from even being able to leave room as the hotel was flooding from every direction. Nobody could guide us as to what to do when our actual room was filling with water. Our room fridge was without water or beverage. We made countless, countless calls to front desk regarding the situation as the entire resort was too wet to walk anywhere. And the same answer from their end was carried on throughout the 7 days “we don’t have that information “ we reached out many times to the Sunwing rep and the same answer “we don’t have the information, we will put in a request for you.” Our blue wristbands were so limited that we felt we were just defeated and stuck to one place. Every day at any hour the line ups and nowhere to sit while we waited left us starving daily. The lines for drinks and the poor service at the buffets or anywhere for that matter was a huge upset. Nobody seemed to want to look after us unless we were Mexican. The entertainment was canceled many nights due to rain. And even then while heading downtown from hotel, the taxi rates changed daily. We were totally ripped off. On day it was $300 pesos to go downtown the next day it was $200 pesos. And this happened everywhere. When we actually did get into the restaurant. We were never ever ever served by a server. And when we would go up to get food, someone else would be sitting in our seats. And there would be nowhere at all for us to sit. We ended up having to buy all of our own booze as we couldn’t stand for longer than 45min at a time any longer. And also going away from resort to get food. Nothing at the day snack bar was labeled. And it seemed that we just couldn’t get a decent meal anywhere. On the last 2 days the sun came out. For 20 min. At this point our entire beach was washed away. Tiki huts, lifeguard stands and all. And it was all blocked off and we couldn’t access the beach from anywhere else. The amount of randoms coming basically to our room to sell us “vapes and drugs” was disgusting. Where was the security?!!!! We felt so unsafe and completely harassed. All we wanted to do was leave. When we got on the shuttle to go home. We both started feeling car sick due to all The stops the bus made from other resorts. We had to get off and take our own taxi. Upon boarding, we couldn’t sit together again!!!! And sat on the tarmac for over an hour. No apology. Nothing. When in flight, the smell of vomit was overwhelming. From the 15 people on board that were puking!! Arriving into Canada was horrendous as it was another 1.5 hours waiting for luggage. Now that we are home my partner Ryan has a full body rash and the dr has told us it has come from the sheets from the hotel.. we are so disgusted by this trip and the lack of service or care. Never ever ever again. We are looking for some compensation as it’s heart breaking how much extra money we spent at a fake all inclusive resort! Please reach out to us.. we have nothing but horrors left in our hearts from this trip..

Grand Oasis Cancun: OASIS IS NOT GRAND!!
We went to find rest and relaxation and hopefully enjoy a stress free week of CHILL VIBES, but what we got instead was a less than grand experience. Day 1, we me(male) and my female cousin were booked in a king bed even though I asked for a double room. The front desk were not friendly, I should have known then that this was going to be a bad stay. He provided a room with two beds, but we walked into what I call a 1 star room and here is the list; DIRTY, BATHROOM WAS NOT CLEANED VERY WELL, NO COFFEE MAKER, NOTHING IN MINI BAR, NO BEACH TOWELS , no garden view, AND THE A/C WAS NOT WORKING. All the things on the list were promised in the booking. We left it for the night, but after a restless sleep because we were both hot my cousin said we will go later to the concierge. Day 2:Towel lady told us to go for a walk as it towels were coming at 9am, it was 905a, because she was busy talking to some old man who seemed like he was trying to date her. They told us 4 times to go away, it was already 910am, we stayed and waited . We asked two employees where lunch was and they said, too far 1 mile then started laughing, so no lunch on this day. eat. My cousin went to concierge to get room changed, at first they were just going to put in order to fix the A/C , but we said no and they gave us a king room. Room good accept it smelled like sewer the bathroom and looked like it was in the middle of a repair. It was not a very clean room and the mirror had something written on it, like someone gave up trying to clean off lipstick. The tub was nasty. We were done at that point and we're not chancing getting a dirtier room. There was two restaurants for supper and one was better than the other, but the restaurant closer to the Pyramid was much cleaner, and better food. All staff seemed unhappy, and if you were not Caucasian u were seated far from the food. The first night when the server asked if we wanted drinks, we both said pop, and they said no, You can get yourself. That was pretty much our treatment all week. We are native Americans from Canada and we were treated horrible. The saving grace was we were treated good at the coffee and me place, so I loved coffee even more this week. This place caters to the Pyramid guest, who paid about $150CAD more than we did. This was not what I expected when we paid $1889 CAD. For this trip. The grounds were pretty dirty. It was not a great overall experience. I would demand a refund if I paid directly to the resort, as I came home jaded.

Grand Oasis Riviera: Would not return or recommend
We just spent the last 7 days at the Grand Oasis Tulum. This was a long awaited holiday trip from Dec. 25 to Jan. 1. We had 2 rooms, were a family of 5 and I will never stay at another Oasis property nor would I recommend to anyone. I have done many all inclusive vacations and our stay here was BY FAR the worst experience. Checking into kids room (18, 15 and 12 years old) and it has ONE bed. My room with my husband has a bathroom that’s leaking, moldy and filthy. For the kids, we ask for a cot. Hours later, none received. I have to deal with this at 10pm after a day of travel on our first day of “vacation”. Kids were put in a temporary room that night. My husband and I took the kids original room for the rest of our stay. This was a downgrade from our initial oceanfront room that we had paid EXTRA for. Rather than do the right thing and either put my husband & I in an equivalent cost room, or at least offer us some sort of compensation. I was asked to agree and sign something saying that I accept that I wont get a refund. Which I did because I’m tired, on vacation and going in circles. The kids were assigned a new room the following day. It appeared ok upon initial inspection, since it had just been cleaned. A few hours later, it SMELLS horribly of sewage. Can’t open the patio door for fresh air. Bathroom is gross. We don’t have the energy to deal with changing AGAIN. Thought that with it being cleaned everyday, they could make it work. Housekeeping NEVER came despite at least TEN requests over 5 days. No toilet paper, no towels. The no reservation system across the restaurants is archaic. Waiting 1 to 2 hours to get in, IF you get in. The Maki Taco restaurant took us 2 tries on 2 different nights to get in and the food was revolting. Quite literally some of the worst food I’ve every had. Overall the grounds are in shambles. Everything is falling apart or is patched together (not well) to make things look OK. The beach and grounds are not kept up well. There was garbage that sat in the same spots every day. The first thing every morning should be a sweep by staff - this is BASIC. Although the buffet has a lot of options, the food for the most part is quite disgusting. At checkout, my 15 year old son had taken off his bracelet in him room. We were not advised that upon departure we’d have to have the bracelets cut at the front desk. With our shuttle for the airport out front waiting to go, the guy at the reception desk is not letting our son leave. He was rude and essentially holding our kid hostage. We had to go back to the room (which is a long walk away) dig into the trash for the bracelet. The staff were great. Such good people, they made it bearable and we had fun with them. The beach is beautiful. We travelled with another family who share the same sentiment. Their toilet overflowed, took forever to get it fixed and then even longer for housekeeping to come and clean up the mess. The whole time we were there, we heard many other guests sharing the same stories and/or trying to change rooms. Trust me. Pick another resort.

Grand Oasis Cancun: Horrible resort.
During the week it seemed to be a different problem everyday, whether is was extra charges we didn't know about, dirty eyelashes on our bed that weren’t from us, cold and stale food and constant loud noises every night preventing us to sleep. Our shower flooded the floor each time we showered as it didn't have a door on it, and the cleanliness of our sinks and toilets was a bit alarming. Room service was constantly prompted to come change our room and if we didn’t prompt they most likely wouldn’t of even came. I have never been treated so poorly by staff at a place as I was at the Grand Oasis and the only way to get decent food or drinks was to tip, and even then it still wasn’t up to any satisfaction. This morning we didn’t even have a shuttle come to pick us up and had to spend an extra 20 dollars to even get to the airport which was basically the story of our week. I will not ever come back to this resort or cancun again and I recommend not booking here either. Trip central told us we could get refunded on a uber cause our shuttle didnt show up and that didnt happen either. Brutal

Grand Oasis Palm: Great resort!
We had an awesome time at this resort! The rooms were very clean, the food was delicious (lots of variety) and the staff were fantastic! Would be great if there was umbrellas around the pool loungers as that sun is intense. We would definitely return to grand oasis palm!

Grand Oasis Riviera: Not a 4.5 stars as sold, but a nice vacation still
First room we were given was in a bad shape: broken furniture, damaged walls, tub looked like it was painted with a brush multiple time, caulking in a bad condition, access door behind the toilet opening up to some pipes, high voltage cable cut and not capped, another in a junction box with no lid and a constant electrical buzz. We were travelling with a 3 and 6 year old kids, and were placed in an adult only section, the furthest away we could be from the kids zone, no elevator access. We got moved to a closer and better room. Still not a 4.5 stars. Pictures announced slides, park, an inflatable climbing structure for the kids. there’s one small structure in a rough shape, one ground park slide that acts as a water slide that is to steep to be safe. Other than that, nice beach, great food, nice people **beware of the environmental tax. We were given a link to pay it up front, never asked for it, hotels charges it, don’t care about my receipt, charges it anyway and not the same price.**

Grand Oasis Riviera: Tulum
Hello. Let me start from thank you for the opportunity to share my thoughts about the trip. When I was booking a trip I was told that there would be environmental charges for 1.38 us per night, and that would come approximately 10us dollars. When we got to the hotel we were charged 78us. Almost 8 times more. Isn’t it nice? During our stay we tried desperately find sunwing representative. We never found anyone. So, the weather was good and sea was nice, but these 2 things kind of spoiled the vacation. Otherwise next time we would like to get a little more truthful information to be prepared for. Thanks

Grand Oasis Riviera: Dissapointed
Poor service, low quality food, limited choices of food, low quality drinks, limited choices of drinks. Hotel management does not take ownership of their issues. We've been in a room without hot water for the first 4 days, then they change us to a new room on Sunday at 9pm., after everyday notifications of this issue. Absolutely not worthy to come back

Grand Oasis Riviera: Quiet Little Resort
Grand Oasis Tulum was a joy to go to. Small and compact to negotiate youraelf around. Beach and ocean was beautiful. Good for snorkelling and kayaking around the coral reef. The resort is dated but service from the workers were top notch. All in all we loved this little jem. Thanks from Bruce and Kelly

The Pyramid Cancun: Overall okay
Resort is very big, depends on what you’re looking for. Good food recommend Japanese food Sakura. nice beach but wavy this time of the year. Clean and fun for you partying and family. I’d give it a 3.5 overall. Service at the restaurants and bars is good however front desk not very helpful and most of the time don’t know the answer to any questions had to figure things out in our own in such a big resort took us almost the whole trip to get used to the resort and know different events. In the beginning pushy with time share selling. Air Canada rep never showed up and waited 2 hours at airport to be picked up and dropped off at the resort. Was promised a king bed but they never had that note and was given double bed. Lots of people had issues with rooms they chose and paid for but never gotten such as ocean view. I stayed as a Sir kaan which I recommend more options for restaurant. When we went they have many renovations and didn’t have shows, a little at boring at night time but lively during the day. I recommend walking out of the resort and checking out the lagoon for extra activities that are fun and affordable

The Sens Cancun: Not the best
Not my favourite resort or experience. Shuttle pickup from Cancun airport took close to an hour to leave. Check in was fine, hotel rooms shabby and bathroom could use maintenance. Concierge staff were friendly enough, most of the other staff were pleasant. Beach dirty, not often cleaned up from the day before. Other guests would leave cups and plates and they wouldn't be cleaned up. Not enough beach chairs; it was a race everyday to get anything decent. Had a black top go missing from our room and my daughter's purse also go missing from the lobby while waiting for the return shuttle to go home. Food at restaurants good; Le Petit Chef a fun experience. Also did the Captain Hook pirate show which was really fun. Unfortunately, I wouldn't return to this resort nor recommend it.

Grand Oasis Riviera: Lunchbox let down
Although we were thrilled with the service, staff, and food it was all overshadowed by how misleading the resort description and pictures were. We specifically booked Grand Oasis Tulum for the amenities offered for children and for how family friendly the resort was. Unfortunately, many of the features shown online were not even there, we were informed that the pictures are over two years old…the hotel was so far off of what we expected we even checked our booking to make sure we were at the correct hotel! We also were met with loud music entertainment at night which would normally be great BUT it was all hosted in the “kid zone“ area, it was extremely disruptive to our child and made bedtime extremely difficult…why they do this when there is an entire adult only section we couldn’t quite figure out. Overall we made the best of it but we were extremely disappointed in how misleading the the details were. Please update the site as what is being shown is so not what the hotel offers or even looks like anymore…

Grand Oasis Riviera: Terrible Resort
This resort is the worst I have ever been too. No entertainment. Front desk staff are very ignorant. Bars close at 11:00 and don’t open til 11:00. Beach is not maintained and if you don’t get up and put towels on a chair by 5:00 am you won’t have a chair on beach or around pool. Line up early for ala carted or you are waiting forever. I would never return here.

The Pyramid Cancun: Terrible Resort
When we arrived we were told to just go up an elevator to our room. No help or guidance what so ever! Our room was dirty, the sheets were dirty, there was no where to put our clothes, no room service, no reaching front desk, at 9:30 in the morning they told us they were out of food at the vip restaurant! We were so unhappy that we went to another hotel! Would never go back there again! Terrible customer service!

Grand Oasis Cancun: Great time
Rooms: They were a bit outdated, Ac and water worked well. Walls are thin and can hear everything around you. Rooms were cleaned daily (when they came early and you say not now, they would come back later) and fridge restocked daily with water, soda and beer. Grounds: the grounds were well kept. The pools were clean and always people out sweeping and cleaning up. The resort is very large so there is a fair bit of walking and takes a bit of time to know your way around. The App definitely helped on the first day. Food and Drinks: The food was ok and drinks were not strong. But if you drink enough it won’t matter. The last bar on resort closes at midnight so if you want to party beyond 12, you will need to go to town or buy alcohol to have in your room.

Grand Oasis Riviera: Good resort
I thought the restaurants were great , service was amazing I was disappointed we didn't arrive to the resort until 8pm because our shuttle dropped off quite a few people before arriving to our resort. Check out was at 12 pm which was fine but I thought we could use services until we had to leave at 4. It's kind of a rip off because you loose a day traveling there and half a day due to check out yet you have to pay for 7 full days.

The Sens Cancun: Not the best
Honestly the worst part about this hotel is standing in the line ups every other day to book your meals. You are only allowed to book two days in advance and we stood in the lineups for over an hour each time. Do you really want to have to stand in line and waist hours of your holiday! No thank you. Also the lineups for the food hall are ridiculous, I felt bad for people with children. Pools were a little on the cold side, staff was great other than the cranky towel lady. Shows were average, and their adult only pools need cleaning, not all jet tubs were working and the ones that were not, were so disgusting. One other thing is the amount of staff bothering you daily to sit in on their timeshare breakfast! We booked a vacation to relax, not to be bothered and waisting time in the lineups.

The Sens Cancun: The Sens
The room was tired and in need of an update. The bed was comfortable and the climate control was great. The taps in the shower leaked and needed work. The hotel itself was good and well kept. Did not get any assistance about navigating the resort upon check in. Food was bland and catered to the American clientele. Lines up for buffet could be long at times.

Grand Oasis Cancun: Pleasantly surprised!
We stayed at Grand Oasis Cancun for a week in mid-december. Unlike many negative reviews, we had a pleasant stay! Beach was amazing, the shows in the lobby were great (Cirque du soleil worthy!), and food & drinks (especially those from the Oasis Beach Club) were good as well! Only cons: rooms are a little outdated and stuffy because of humidity, there are barely ever pool or beach chairs available (people reserve them the night before by leaving their towels) and its hard to get a reservation at the À la Carte restaurants.

Grand Oasis Riviera: Relaxing holiday
My room was nice with the door to the beach. The air conditioner did not cool my room enough, it was 26 degrees when set at 19. The food was the same every day. No guacamole at all which was disappointing. Also would be nice to be able to take food back to my room. The beach is mostly gone, sand washed away and now it’s rock. Pool was dirty. I have stayed there 3 times and this time was disappointing. Don’t think I will stay there again.

Grand Oasis Palm: Disappointed in the resort, expected better from an Oasis
First I want to shout out to the staff, who were friendly and gracious. Our room - rock hard beds, outlets that wouldn't hold a cord, cut lamp cords. House keeping was good. Buffet food and selection was marginal at best, mixed drinks awful. Pasta restaurant passable. Coffee shop amazing. Of all the places in the area I have visited, this was by far the least value for the money paid. It was not a budget price. We have stayed at other Oasis resorts with outstanding results which made the disappointment greater.

The Sens Cancun: Very nice resort
Room was fantastic, cleaned and mini fridge stocked every day many restaurants to choose from and you have à la carts and buffets. Manager at le buffet Huberto Gonzalez was friendly and keep restaurant’s running smoothly. Great spa facilities, special thanks to massage therapist Maritza very professional and helped me get rid of some my back pain and get me back on my feet. The beach was very nice sand was raked every day grounds crew did a great job Hamic set up in the water. Nice touch, great place for families. The nightly shows were actually very good hotel staff was quick to solve any issues that you did have. Hotels can arrange for many excursions. And you feel very safe. I personally think this hotel is great. I apologize if I misspelled some of the staffs name.

Grand Oasis Palm: Awful
It was worth experience Staff were very rude Food was very bad and we were always more than one hour on the line to get into the restaurant and long lines of people. The staff didn’t speak English and didn’t understand what we needed and didn’t care about guests at all. We reserved the tour and they took our money and did not send us confirmation and information about transportation and we lost the tour. On the last day unfortunately they did not send us transportation to get us from hotel to Airport, even we talked with them the day before on the phone and confirmed, but they didn’t care and we were late at the airport to come back to Toronto Nobody was responsible for anything in the hotel, I talked to front desk and they did not care and were really rude to me and our family. We were 23 people as a family and friends and everyone unhappy. We wasted our money and our time at this hotel

Grand Oasis Cancun: This was a prison
This was by far the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at, food wasn’t edible, line ups for days, it’s an extra charge for everything. You don’t get a safe in your room without paying for it, they don’t restock your fridge unless you pay for it, restaurants were impossible to get into . But if you payed you could get a table in the empty restaurant you apparently need a reso for .. it was very unclean and the rooms were a joke, as well as no wifi outside the lobby. I could never imagine a hotel being this bad ..

Grand Oasis Cancun: STAY AWAY
Where do I start? I’ll start by being asked to write a review for this resort by me was a BIG mistake. How’s about I get into some details… food is probably the worst I’ve had in the world(I am well travelled) one of my travel companions stepped in human feces and when told to the resort staff, they said “what would you like us to do about it?†Room was cleaned ONCE in 7 days. EVERYTHING was an upgrade, including WATER and $8/night to use the safe. All I am saying is read the fine print. Bars close at 12:30am. When I confronted customer service about our stay he offered ZERO solutions and when pressed further just told me to read my booking. We didn’t book the pyramid level but we also weren’t the palm level but felt like we were almost homeless. NEVER AGAIN will I consider this chain and further more I will actively commit time to making sure others do not as well.

Smart Cancun By Oasis: There Feb 24/23 to March 3/23
Overall, good hotel. Walking in, it’s a very run of the mill small hotel lobby, clean and had a beautiful smell. Staff was pleasant but we were taken by surprise by the $50 U.S. hotel fee. At first, the rooms look nice but the bare basics as far as cleaning was done. Mirrors were dirty, swing out mirror was filthy, bad smell in the mini fridge but the floors, washroom and bed were acceptable. NO BALCONY ON THE 4th, 5th and 6th floors-(only on 2nd and 3rd). I feel the cleaning staff have their hands full because they do start cleaning mid morning and are still cleaning early evening... (I do believe it’s just one housekeeper per floor). Pool area: probably one of the prettiest most comfy spots I’ve ever come across. Beautifully done and clean! This hotel is close to everything and perfectly located being close to Costco, Walmart, a great market across the street. We made our own meals, which was great. 12 pesos gets you to the beach (roughly 2.6 km from the hotel) and 12 pesos back. Unbeatable location and great price! Had a very relaxing time and may very well go back!
