not too much food was limited ,too many cubans in the hotle eating like pigs/travel from cayococo to caricok was too much ,would never go back if they dont change that cayacoco airport.that is one of the reasons the hotel is empty

I really enjoyed my vacation in the caracol hotel and everything was great specially the beach pool and food and I really liked the hotel and services and I wish to be there soon with my family and friends and enjoy our vacation together ?

The Food was exceptional. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. Beach is amazing. Tractor removes and washed up seaweed early every morning then beach is raked by hotel staff. Walk almost every day to neighbouring villages without fear. Staff and villagers very friendly

Terrible Customer service, the Food was horrible, Beach is not in the usable stage. You need to pay for the water. At the bar, nobody comes to serve any kind of drink. Only a handful of staff has a smile.

I have been here many times and this was by far the worst trip ever .I didnt get the room I requested. The one I got for the first 2 days had a toilet that didnt flush, wasnt fastened down shower sprayed all over and the light switch didnt work. the wallplug was hanging out .The other room I had came with a mouse that ate my candies and bar soap The neighbours above me flooded their bathtub and I had wet floors for 2 days. The Would not recommend 5 1/2 hr bus ride was too much. Food was limited and usually cold. Fresh fruit was amazing. The highlight of the trip.

the grounds and room was will kept food was not fantastic but filling and tasty the staff was all friendly and accommodating the bars where will stocked and open at all times. the medical staff attended to the 72 hour covid test in record time

Fast check in .rooms very clean,nice layout with cosy sitting area off bedroom,bathroom updated with rain shower head, small balcony for two.bed comfortable with large pillows. Cold bar fridge .the grounds kept up and well groomed.the dining room a bit small but the food was average .service great pasta station great. The alacarts great ,the Italian the best with super service. The bars 3 all ok but lacked variety ,also ran out of mixes such as tonic water ,lemoned juice ,mint ?Ran out of hot water phoned front desk the service man was fixing it within a half Hr ,overall the service was great and often would go out of there way to help.

Club Amigo Mayanabo had really good food compared to the four other resorts I've been to in Cuba. The staff was pleasant. Service was great. The room was decent. The guests at this resort is predominantly Russian.

I have not been to Santa Lucia for several years. Upon return now some things have changed. Namely issues around food and building maintenance. Only oranges and sometimes bananas available. On some days no cheese or ham for omelettes. In the room, no hot water for 4 days and telephone was inoperative during our stay. Rooms need to be updated and repaired, especially bathrooms. Shower doors don't close and shower heads do not function properly. The pool and beach areas are nice settings. The hotel does have a very good staff who try their very best . The bus ride from Holguin was very long ( 3.5 hrs.) and bumpy. Travel from Camaguey airport was not available.

Club Amigo Mayanabo in Santa Lucia is terribly over rated!!! The grounds and overall setting as well as a friendly staff are the only positives! During our 10 day stay, 90 percent of the other people in the Hotel were Russians! Many of them drank to excess and on several occasions security had to be called because of uncontrolled behaviour! We spent our first night in a tiny room which had inadequate space for 2 people but were moved to a bigger room the next day! In this room, the phone didn't work and NO effort was made to repair it during our entire stay! The shower door couldn't be shut and we were only getting "drips" of hot water! We managed to get that improved but then there was NO hot water for the next three and a half days! We had to shower with cold water! The food was plentiful but "very repetitive" and the only fruit that was available for 8 days were oranges! They did have a few bananas and some pineapple during our first 2 days! Papaya which wasn't very sweet was available the last 2 days! The chefs at the hot plate area didn't wear gloves and handled uncooked food with their bare hands! On 2 occasions, we saw one of chefs picking his nose without a tissue and then continued cooking without washing his hands! This was "disgusting"!!!! The 24 hour snack bar only served ham and cheese sandwiches throughout most of the evening and didn't have any potatoes during most of our stay! This resort should only be rated as a 3 star "at the very most"! I can't believe that it was rated as a four star by trip adivisor!!! I definitely WOULDN'T go back!!

Hotel “Amigo Caracol” at Santa Lucía beach, Cuba is newly renovated. The rooms are spacious with an entrance including a sofa, chair and a little fridge. The rooms are with balcony. The buffet restaurant is spacious as well, but it is very noisy(because the ceiling is low). Some times, there are flies around the food. The beach is well maintained.Staff is professional and friendly. We had a wonderful time. We would like to visit hotel “ Caracol”,when the flights from Toronto go to Camagüey (not to Holquin, because of the 4 hrs bus ride).

This was my fourth time in Caracol.The rooms are very nice, everything is very clean...including mattresses, curtains, furniture in the sitting room, the bathroom are spacious and very clean. Personal is dedicated to their work. The food is plentiful.,,In the restaurant you have so much meals to combine. The entertainment staff works practically the whole day, and specially in the evening.Very talented young people. Great service at bars. Beach is good and clean. Great vacation.

Have been to the Caracol a couple of times and Playa St. Lucia many times. The Caracol is a nice hotel, good food, friendly staff. It was pretty quiet with an older crowd in comparison to the Mayanabo the same week which was quite rowdy. That beind said it was the worst bus transfer between airport and hotel. 3 1/2 hrs to hotel and almost 4 hrs back to airport on a road that had long sections of almost impassible pots holes (travelling at 5 kph for a good portion). Will not return via Holguin (was advertised as into Camaguay but re-routed to Holguin) as the additional time and discomfort was not worth it.

the hotel turn out hot water, during 14 days we had hot water for 4 days only. When we complain they did not respond and they have different explanation every day. We have to take shower in cold water.

I have to give the hotel a bad review. I know this is only a 3 star but for myself a and friend Frank. We had diarrhea the first week. The food this time was, hard chicken legs, winners, bony pork. The drinks eg. orange juice was something like tang, and many of the same greasy cold cuts. Coffee was bitter I could carry on but I won't. I usually do not complain but this time I will. The trip to Camaguey would have been better . It took over 4 hours on a very bad road to get to Santa Lucia. The flight was only 3 hours and 30 minutes !! The top bed sheet had to be put aside as you did not know who sat on it. I found that in the 25 + years that I go there .This was the worst .. The staff were always looking for tips, or they would give you 3d class service or serve someone else that they knew a dollar was coming to them..

Hotel and service Good Transportation bad .I the resort for many years..and newer got 5 hr ride from the airport for 5 hr.. My agent told me it will landed in Holguin. and didn't mentioned nit will be 5 hr ride on no roads there was only about 3 km of asphalt rest design for tanks or horse and baggie. almost 2 days take me to recover from my sore back. There from cca 30 passenger only 2 passangers driver an director know what is ahead . Not recommend Trip To Santa Lucia wia Holguin !!!!!!!!! Return to Holguin aerport took ONLY 4 hr. From Gamague it is cca1.2 hr

Over the New Year period, the hotel evening entertainment was amazing! The rooms are simple and clean. The staff fantastic, friendly and welcoming. The beach is EVERYTHING 😍. We spend all day soaking in the sun and salt loving the vibes....HUNGRYY! The food is unrecognizable, undercooked, under seasoned...basically inedible.

So, going into a 3 star resort in Cuba, there are obvious things that are to be expected. Surprisingly enough however, the food was quite great. I’d avoid the breakfast honestly, but both the buffets and restaurants had some great stuff. Thing is, there are a bunch of factors that negatively impacted my stay. Keep in mind too that the bus ride is a minimum of 3 hours long and it’s real bumpy. Now, the “non-suite” rooms were gross with bugs in the floating ceilings (and the AC leaks water allll over the place), we had to pay for water and safety deposit boxes, the service was poor with a constant bad vibe from aloof employees, there was a lack of amenities and overcrowding at certain spots (huge line ups at the reception, bars and buffet). Also, the on-site store hours differ so much to what’s listed: it happened on more than one occasion that I’d go to purchase something during their opening hours but there’d be no employees for hours (they also don’t sell matches or lighters of any kind so come prepared fyi)...And, the entertainment is quite awful. Don’t expect big shows like at the 4 or 5 star resorts. They don’t follow the listed schedule, the music is extremely loud (and I go to raves, mind you), and they take foooorever to set up the band! They have these chairs lined up in front of a stage but if the weather happened to get a bit sketchy, the show would abruptly end and you’d be left with no evening entertainment. The pool also doesn’t have any chlorine and the water looked murky and gross. What’s also important to mention is the disgusting cappuccinos the Snack-Bar make! They use an espresso machine to brew and froth milk, but they’re rarely cleaned which result in huge nasty milk curds in the coffees......Lastly, there are clubs nearby that play music till like 3am and can be heard from the rooms... Basically, if you’re paying under 900$ for a trip here, I guess it’s worth it for the beach but don’t get ripped off.

My husband and I went to Brisas for Christmas 2019. Accommodations - The front desk is understaffed and not prepared to handle large busloads of guests who are checking in. Much of the check-in process is manual, so expect to wait in line for a good while to get your room. Because the resort is under renovation, many rooms are not ready upon arrival... unless you are one of the "regulars". In That case, you will be allowed to bypass the line and will be immediately shown to your room. - Although the Sunwing website states that the resort has 400 rooms, about 1/3 of the resort is under renovation... including the disco. The Sunwing rep spoke about the disco in the orientation however when we asked at the front desk where it was, we were told that it was under renovation ... so frustrating. - We requested an upper level room with a king sized bed. We got a lower level room with 3 twin beds (????). We ended up pushing 2 of the twin beds together, however one was higher than the other which made for a slightly uncomfortable sleep. - There is a safe in the room, however there is a daily charge to use it. - The rooms have no iron board or clock radio. You can ask the front desk to give you a wake up call, however there is a 50/50 chance that you will actually receive one. - The open air patios are nice, but half of them are closed which forces everyone to sit in one area. Many guests smoke which make it uncomfortable for those who do not smoke. Food - The food is ok. If you have been to Cuba before, you will know what to expect. The issue with the dining = the guests. During our visit there were large groups who like to eat "Family Style" and take 2-3 platefuls of each item, leaving minimal amounts for the rest of us. On our first day, we arrived in time for lunch which ended at 2 pm, however there wasn't much to eat other than rice and some fruit. The next 2 days it felt like there was a mad dash to get food each day in the main dining hall. Fortunately we found the snack bar by the beach. They don't have a whole lot of selection, however the volume of food served to satisfy our appetites. - The a la carte meals are much better than the buffet HOWEVER only one of the 3 a la carte restaurants is actually open.... the rest are under renovation (also NOT on the Sunwing website). Services - The beach towel bar was not open for the first 3 days. - They gym opened late and the medical centre never opened, (despite guests waiting outside). You can go to the front desk to inquire, but no one there knows what is going on. The Beach - The beach was not as nice as other beaches I have been to before ... lots of plastic garbage. There was also lots of seaweed. Although there was staff trying to rake it up, their effort was futile. Final Thoughts It was great to get away for the holidays, however this resort was not as advertised. The Sunwing site misrepresented the amenities of this resort. It is listed as a 4 star when in truth it is barely a 1. Considering all that I have listed above plus the 90 minute ride from the airport, we will not be returning to this resort again.

We weren't expecting much as it was said to be a 3 star, but it was more worth a 4. The food was delicious, the drinks a plenty.. To bad the water bottles was only .50 cuc. Pool was not excellent but better than all the other resorts in the strip, cool and refreshing and clear-ish. Some staff ( bar staff )could be more smiley or appreciative.. Beach clean and large. The resort itself is spacious , room to roam. Wifi available in 3 areas. Make sure to buy enough internet cards when arriving, they run out. Bring mosquito repellent on muggy nights. Had a great time will definitely come back when i can.😊

As the previous time hotel grounds were nice and clean. More than enough variety of food for not too picky person. Entertainment was better 4 years ago. Beach cleaned every day. Other public beaches in the area very dirty almost dengerous to walk on. Both buses I was traveling in with quite dirty apolstery.

I have been to Brisa Santa Lucia 20 times before and always enjoyed it other than the fact Sunwing usually screws up baggage or extra stops you find out about 2 weeks before you leave, but this time the Russian tourists were there in full force. They are by far the pushiest most ignorant, greediest tourists I have ever come across. They literally push you aside in line , step on your feet, and fill their plates with everything they can get on them, yes them. They usually have 2 or 3 plates per person and load up bags and tupperware containers before they leave the dining rooms. Fist fights were not uncommon between them selves and wife bashing occurred twice that I saw. I will not return here until I know they are not coming back. I feel so sorry for the very nice staff who rely on tips and gifts to survive. Elite Plus was a lousy option other than having a larger seat. I waited 45 minutes for my bag when an employee asked if this was my bag . It was and had been mistakenly put in oversized luggage even though it was a very small suitcase. The area was empty when I left and I almost missed my Shuttle.

This is my fourth time after a long time. Everything is good with exception of few things. Too much flies in the dinning room. They need to label all the food. They tend to put pork in everything. (eg. Yuca with a little bit of pork) I am not eating pork, so I cannot eat the Yuca. Not everybody eat pork or beef.

Hotel Caracol has the best and cleanest beach. It has the best frontage and the beach staff work very hard to maintain it. other beaches have no frontage and are not tidy, The hotel is very, very clean, the staff all around are most pleasant and helpful. The front reception are most helpful and very informative.. thank you to Naomi and Alena for taking care of me. Rooms - oceanview, are perfect , the bed was very comfortable. The food was fresh and well presented. I was vacationing for 1 week and have already booked a second vacation for January 15 for another week. I recommend only this resort in Camaguey

We have been to this resort several times and as always the trip was fantastic. Looking forward to going back in the future. The staff is very friendly. The animation team are always fun to be around and the overall vibe of the resort is like family. A small resort where you can kick back and relax.

This was my second time vacationing at Gran Club Santa Lucia. The staff is amazing, they all treat you like family!! The food is great, the rooms and resort are kept clean, and if there is any issues the staff would action right away. I will be returning in November.

I went for 10 days to attend my brother's wedding. It was lovely. The staff did a wonderful job with the ceremony, decorations, and meal. It is a cozy resort with friendly staff. The daytime entertainment was fun, engaging and inclusive. The night entertainment was wonderful including a great kids show. Definitely would recommend.

I recently stayed at this resort and I was pleasantly surprised that the food was excellent. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious and clean. I only had to ask for an extra pillow and it was provided at no extra cost. I would definitely go to this resort again.

This is my second time around here Excellent service , love the garden and the beach, food is excellent, animacion , snack bar service is awesome , lastly the lady name Daily Molina is amazing! Would come back again for sure!

I have stayed at this hotel 4 years ago. About 1 hour 40 min from the airport. It has since been renovated very nicely..Rooms have been painted, new floors, new washroom, nice modern tiled showers with rain head and hand held shower option, no bugs, I had ocean view room, right on the beach. Buffet nicely renovated, food is o.k. , good breakfasts, good pasta section with pizza. The Buffet also has had major renovations. Looks very nice and modern and clean. The snack bar has good burgers, ask for well done, good hot dogs.. clean new washroom at snack bar area. This hotel has the best beach of all, wide and workers on the beach try hard to keep it raked and clean. good lounge chairs.... I will certainly return before the price goes up later this year. Relaxing resort, well kept attractive grounds, nice staff. For TV programs, no Canadian news or English movies if you plan to watch before bed. 95% Spanish TV. I needed to have repair done as the shower needed a seal near the shower door, it was done same day I requested. There is a small commercial center next door, with restaurant, snack bar, convenience store where you can buy bottled water, etc. less expensive than at the resort. There is also a Bank to change your currency to Convertible Pesos.. better rate than the hotel. You need to bring your passport for the bank. Very safe. There is security on the beach at night.

I guess it was a bad time of year for flys breeding. First day was intolerable had to stay indoors not before 25 bites. Following that every morning and evening there were tiny mats or mosquitoes. You had to stay covered in bug repellent. The sun was wonderful every day hot and intense. However only one day out of the week they cleaned the seaweed witch was 1 foot deep and 5 feet wide. The restaurant should learn to change the tablecloth after each meal. Often they were dirty. The buffet was mediocre at best. Usually you could find something to satisfy your appetite. My sliding doors in my room to the balcony were jammed. Not functional. They also had a a 2 inch gap at the top witch allowed mosquitoes in my room also my phone didn’t work all week. I was there mainly for the sun and ocean and they were both wonderful.

Small and pretty... with great pool with super soft freshwater... the junior suites are extra nice...its beach NOT so great (seagrass) ..but theres COCO BEACH nearby with its WOW factor 15 minutes by taxi...gardens very well maintained...the food was above average for Cuba I was there for two weeks and enjoyed the buffet everyday...friendly staff... this was my 10th Cuban hotel and I have never found a perfect one yet....But for very little money you get extra good value here... long bus rides from Camaguey 1.5hrs even worst from Holguin close 3.5 hrs....I was very satisfied with my vacation

This is the perfect place for those who prize seclusion, yet there are all types of organized activities for those who seek these. The staff is very helpful and make you feel as family. Truly a great place to get back to.

I don't want to be negative about a place that relies on tourism for sustainability but our trip here left us with a very negative feeling. It started with no water in our rooms and a definite disinterest in helping us. The fact that our rooms would not have one single bottle of water was never mentioned in any communications. This has not happened to us in other trips to Cuba but regardless, the hotel staff might have been more helpful but were not interested in helping. the man at the front desk pointed to the store and said go buy some. The Public Relations lady did help us once I was able to locate her and was, in my opinion, their greatest ambassador, otherwise I had no sense of interest in helping or waiting on us throughout the week either at the bars or in the restaurants. We realized (our own fault) we were there during Carnival. (February 11-18) The individuals that swarmed the resort that week were entitled, rude and inconsiderate. That behaviour seemed to be reflected in the staff, perhaps a ripple effect of the garbage they had to put up with. Locals literally threw garbage around the pool and I watched as lifeguards scrambled to clean the messes up. They were loud, brought their own boom boxes and tried to outplay the pool bar music. Endless hours of selfies, chairs up against the pool deck blocking access to the pool and stairs of the pool. There was literal pushing past you and physically pushing you in the buffet to fill their plates past capacity and waste food in what is a country struggling to feed it's own. They were loud until 5 a.m. every day. Having said this, our rooms were clean (our maid did a wonderful job) and other than the typical problems of repairs etc., to be expected at any Cuban resort, the facilities and beach were what I expected. When we had some and our hotel room leaked and soaked one of the beds and bedding I was disappointed in how we were responded to - I had no expectations of someone climbing on a roof to fix it at night but did expect something other than a shrug and angry look and turnabout and have him, what looked like a security guard and the maid leave the room. No promises of new bedding or addressing the issue at a later date. They did run out of things continuously, but again, understood given their situation. and geographical location having to bring supplies in. We were befriended by someone who frequents the resort and loves the people there. If not for her, our week would have been a complete disaster. Overall, I would say I was very very disappointed in the people. After some conversations on line with others who know the resort, it is my understanding there has been a staff turnover. Regardless, if staff appears this disinterested and even angry to deal with resort guests than there is a problem that likely starts at the top and must be dealt with. They obviously feel abused and unappreciated because it was not just one individual, it felt that way from almost everyone encountered. I have always found the people of Cuba to be warm and inviting so this was quite a shock. Perhaps it was Carnival but I would not return.

3 star resort. booked with Air transat and Hola sun, 4 hour bumpy bus ride from Holguin from Toronto which includes a 30 minute stop half way at a local bar where you can buy beer and refreshments. Pros- lovely beach, lots of soft loungers and shade available, rooms are very clean housekeeping does a wonderful job, resort grounds are lush and well maintained, pool was clean and refreshing with lots of loungers and shade, air conditioner amazing! Cons- no beverages including water in fridges in rooms, only one blanket (no bed spread), one pillow and one stuffed with left over junk from something else (bring your own). bars ran out of liquor and mixers. beach restaurant only served hamburger or ham and cheese, buffet repetitive, customer service definitely needs a revamp, service in buffet based on tipping they will reserve a table for you and treat you like a king if you tip big :) Small changes could make this resort better, we will not return as there are so many other places to try. Air Transat Rep was ridiculous not sure if he understands he is representing a huge company....dont bother going to him for anything!

Great hotel ,rooms new clean and lots of hot water. All of the staff went out of there way to make our holiday great most spoke some English. The food most nights was pretty good with a surprise out side barbecue of pork chops and chicken.The grounds were well kept ,with the beach kept well groomed .Jeniffer always informing us all the activities and events going on during the day.The bar drinks were OK ,lots of cold beer ,service was fast and always smiling.The pool clean all the time ,but the liner is in need of replacement as it has a few tears! Overall great hotel a pleasure to tip as thy really appreciated it .will recommend going to this hotel.

Very amazing time, beachs were beautiful and sand was very soft, pool was refreshing and clean swim up bar was great. The whole resort was very very clean and staff was extra helpful with anything I needed. Went to coco beach for dinner and dancing was a excellent night lobster was top notch and our tour guide provided us with lots of Cuban history and special landmarks would defiantly love to visit again!

Quality of alcohol drinks weren't good , entertainment in the evening was very nice with having guests participating with dancers. Resort was kept clean and food variety and quality and service was very good.

Very nice hotel for the money. Good service. Very good entertainment. Staff was very friendly. The one complaint I had was the room safe did not work and was forced to pay for one ar the desk for duration of stay for the week.

Of course, it all depends who you are, the type of vacation you're looking for and enjoy. For us, it's a pleasant place where one can find shade and isolation if needed. The personnel is very friendly and helpful. Over the years (10 times repeater, sometimes twice in the year),we've made good friends who are more happy to see us than expecting tips. Rooms are very clean. Food is adequate, although not very fancy. If you're looking for sunshine, beach and rest, this is the place.

This was my second time here and I intend to return again. The food was much improved over last year as was the selection but still only three star. The rooms are small, but always neat and tidy and I don't go to spend time in the room. The grounds and gardens are well maintained. The staff is great, always friendly and helpful. The beach is ok, the wind brings weeds ashore almost daily but they are cleaned up quickly. There are lots of shade shelters along the beach and loungers. The age of the people when I have gone, end of January would probably average around 40, very few kids at that time. This is very good value for the price.

Very nice grounds and pool area. The beach was very weedy. The water at the beach was very shallow and we were not really able to swim. The staff were very nice and kind. The food was plentiful but repetitive. The 4 hour bus ride to hotel and back was very tedious.

It was the 3rd year in a row that we were at the same hotel, Club Amigo Mayanabo. We liked the people, we liked the resort and the weather was on our side too :). The entertainment team was great too. The only downside for us was that the music (either at the resort or at the disco nearby, I am not sure) was kind of loud up to 3 AM so it might be difficult to sleep before it stopped. I understand that some (younger) people might wanna party so late, but maybe it could be done in a way that wouldn't interfere with the night sleep of others. All in all we had a good time and we are eager to go back next year.

The people on the resort where nice with the exception of the ladies at reception. They are snobs and ignorant. These ladies are the face we meet first...according to my standards they make the place or break it, which they did. There is no beach. You need watershoes for the ocean. But even with watershoes it's no fun swimming in weeds. The pool needs a lot of work. The rooms are small and not that clean. Lots of cob webs and dust one the light fixtures. Killed a cockroach the last morning there. I felt I got ripped off going to this resort. Which I will not return.

The hotel was nice, food was good, beach was lovely The service could have improved a little bit tho... They were all nice, but sometimes we felt a lack of caring or what not.. But overall good place!

I have been here many times and have always enjoyed my stay there. The people go out of their way to please you. The food this time was not as good as usual. The main complaint was cold soup and entrees. The omelet bar was very good as usual as was the pasta bar and thin crust pizza. The grounds keepers do an amazing job. The rooms are kept very clean and maids are always trying to clean when you are doing something away from your room. The rooms are dated and are due to be remodeled soon. The music can be loud at times , okay for younger people but sometimes too loud for seniors. All in all a good bang for your buck.

I was in Caracol again after 5 years. The resort is renovated. Bathrooms are nice and new. I had hot water everyday. (Some people complained that they did not). The beach was clean, however there were some weeds and rocks in the water. Food was ok. I like fish and Ihad it everyday. Staff is nice as always. In reality I can only complain about the weather.

Rooms are nice and spacious, food acceptable when there are no local tourists, entertainment poor, beach poor, lots of weeds and stones, no interesting places to visit, will not recommend !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

All the staff makes you fell like family, they are the best, food is great never went hungry, pool was nice and clean everyday, grounds well maintained...I have been to many resorts in Cuba and never felt the way I did at the Roc, I was sad to leave and misd it already...will definitely go back!

Always something to keep the entire family amused. And the best entertainers around. And the kids club lady bon bon will keep you children safe and busy for hours. Good food and drinks what more do you need.

I have to admit in full honesty that alleys and green spaces are well taken care of The reception is OK, pretty on the ball But the rooms… The doors have a slack so if you are at the ground floor you risk stepping on a crab on your way to the washroom. About the washroom – you have to flush till you get hurt and maybe it flushes Well at the second floor you have cockroaches The food in the restaurant – uneatable, that is why everybody eats the food at restaurant at the Beach where one cook sells a daily average of 400 hamburgers, 250 hot dogs and 400 sandwiches The animation at the swimming pool is OK But the animation in the restaurant the 4 girls singing – whining cats (complain in a feeble or petulant way) Never mind that two of girls Anne and Claudia (members of the band Covarrubias Son) are soliciting money for sex and and go visit customers in their rooms. The beach is a disaster: weeds, reef, dirty all time and there is no music or animation Now if you get 3-4 rainy days from 7, definitely you regret the money you paid. Personally I regret such a bad review but that’s the reality I had to face.

not so amazing. quality has dropped. price has gone up Service and staff are excellent. but food , drinks and beach horrible. same food every day too much sea weed on beach not being maintained. i will not be return to this resort in future.

The hotel staff is very friendly, but lack of supplying correct inofrmation to guests. The food varities is very poor, if the desert is over they do not have similar, but different varitie to fill in, very disappointing. The rooms are provided to guests without making sure all the amenities are functional. Very money minded, first money then talk.

This hotel caters to wealthier Cuban residents. We were the only Canadians there and had trouble with just about everything. Passed over at the bar, people skipped ahead of us for buffet lineup, very strange atmosphere. The rooms are extremely outdated, it was like a scene from a horror movie. Bathroom light was attached by the white and black power connectors and secured with black tape to make connection. Our room was infested with ants, we had paid for ocean view, which was a little more expensive, was placed on ground floor and told that it was an ocean view and we could not be moved because the hotel was full. The pool by the end of our week had turned cloudy and green, but the ocean water was difficult for swimming because of the amount of coral and seaweed. It is also a public beach so ALOT of solicitation. I don’t know what to say, just don’t go. It was a horrible week, do everything you can to save that extra bit of money and go somewhere nice I think no one should be advertising this resort for Canadians.

Very run down with lot of stuff not aviable. Staff not very friendly....surprise for Cuba Simple things like drinks hard to get .had to go out of the resort to get good food and drinks.not a good value for such a run down place

I was aware that the hotel was a very old property and the grounds people and cleaning people are doing a good job with what they have to work with. It is very rundown and in a huge need a total makeover. My room had great A/C and hot water but other than that it was a wreck. Very badly painted the bathroom was in need of some major work, the mirror looks like it was installed when the hotel was built about 40 odd years ago. The clips supporting it were rusty and the rust was running down the wall. The toilet was always running, the shower head sprayed water in all different directions. I do not think the bedding was changed all week as there was a mark on a sheet on the one bed I noticed the first day and it remained there for the full week. My room had three beds so I just moved to another. Granted the towels were changed daily. The maid was very pleasant to deal with and she was under severe management restraints so I can not blame her. The SUNWING site rates it 3.5 personally my rating would be 1.0 because I cannot go lower. The food was passable but barely. Liver was served 4 times in one week not a nice option. Beef was like eating shoe leather with a bad flavour. Chicken was really hit and miss as it was cut into such small pieces you could not tell what piece you were choosing. Roast pork warmed on the grill was ok but very dry in typical Cuban fashion over cooked. Smoked lag of pork (ham) was the best option of the week. Pasta was prepared as you waited with a very watery sauce. Again service was very good and I do not blame the employees. My two waitresses were excellent Yanaisy and Linet and very pleasant to deal with as well as the cooks. My one waitress was speaking to myself at length and she was told by the Captain that she could not speak with the clients as I understand Spanish I was not happy. This builds great customer relations. There was only one bar at the resort and generally service was very bad at one point waiting 15 minutes for a drink. One bartender and was overloaded with work. What they call the other bar area really had nothing. If you wanted a hot dog or hamburger past 3:00 pm. with bread you were usually out of luck. There was great coffee available though. Beer was available for a cost at $1.00 per can as there was only draught beer available at one location and long waits. Bottled water had to be purchased it was not included. The front desk staff were just horrific seemed almost as they were doing us a favour whenever they were approached. The beach was clean but entering the water was a nightmare for all of the seaweed. The worst part is no guests are allowed in the hotel even after I paid for my friend for 1 week. No explanation and was just told she was not allowed. ON the SUNWING page talks about enjoying a Margarita best of luck with that. Finding rum at times was difficult I have no idea about tequila.

We visited Brisas Santa Lucia more than ten times already. Again and again we want tp express our deepest gratitude to all the staff for the wonderful time we had at Brisas this May. Your care, responsiveness, kindness and help were the keys to our most pleasurable experience at your resort during our numerous visits here. My husband and myself are looking forward to having our vacation at Brisas next year again.

Hotel rooms are small and kept fairly clean. Excellent landscaping. Beach very nice. Food was okay except that the menu was same every day. Overall my personal experience has been fairly good. ..............................................................................................

I took my 9 year old son here for our first time the week of April 19-26/2018 and we had an amazing time. The grounds were well maintained and clean. Our room was very clean and steps to the beach. Water pressure was excellent. Staff was very friendly. Only downfall I found was they could use 2 bartenders at the pool bar as it is quite big. Other than that we had an amazing trip and will definitely return

I have been to this resort 3 times. Will be going back again next year. Food was good , beach was breathtaking, resort was very clean and staff friendly. Nice smaller reaort. Met a lot of great people

This was our third visit to Caracol and we had a great time.The weather was perfect, the beach was amazing and the food was very good.We arrived at the resort after 11 p.m but the restaurant was kept open for us for late supper.We were welcomed by the staff like family.This resort welcomes families,couples and older clients who mingled very well together.The resort is "seniors" friendly with ramps,walk-in showers and easy access to all the facilities. We enjoyed every day of our stay and look forward to our next visit. Special thanks to David for great massages and Rosa our maid.

service is excellent, Ronaldo, Customer service is amaizing. new cook spanish , was the best meal for 3 stars hotel; turkey, porc, soup is fantastic and warm donut for breakfast every day, WOW, you can not ask more. all the dessert was goods, and icecream was freezing, not usualy for Cuba. beah was clean every morning, animation was great, every thing was perferct, i recommanded . just one thing; airplane..... Cubana plane, sit was brooked, and missing one arm brooked, not pleasant at all, not confortable, bouth way, 2 different planes. show at night, was not very good, the stage was broken, and the dansers can not do the show, Trip advisor was there 1 day to take some comments. ask me 200$ extra because solo to the room is no fare, too much extra $ for 11 days, please fix it for next trip couples peoples complain about it,, too much money extra for one person to the room, some hotel do not charge for that

I have been ill for 4 yrs, so I decided to go once I was able and at the same time take my sister who had never flown out of Canada to a place that I love. Once there everyone recognized me greeted with open arms, the Braises resort and staff & food is still as I remembered if not better

The hotel was nice near the front of the hotel when u walked around to the back it was unkept and looked abandoned the cleaning ladies never gave u a new bottle of water just filled the bottles with the dirty tasting water ! My bathroom had a leak and they did nothing about it had to have towels on the floor at all times !! It was a great atmosphere however the staff are so nice and always attentive to what ever u wanted or needed and took the time to remember what we ate and drank all in all I would go back!!

It is not the first time that I am visiting this resort and there are two things that impressed me and made the difference: the attendance and activities on the beach were more meaningful the hotel improved a lot in considering public expectation The animation and entertainment were as good as ever

Roc, Santa Lucia has always been my home resort in Cuba. The staff and management is amazing. Customer Relations Staff Reynaldo and Neiva ate on top of all complaints, they are quick to resolve your issues if you have any. Yurina works hard to make your accommodations comfortable. The bartenders are always fun to joke with. The waitresses and waiters in the buffet Restuarant are always kind and courteous! The pool bar and pool area are always clean and comfortable. The lobby bar is open 24 hours, always clean and a great place to meet new people. The rooms are comfortable and the maids always keep your room clean and comfortable. The air conditioners are new and work well. The a la carte restuarants that you book through the customer Relations Office have good tasting food and the service is good. The menu is changing and I asked that they post the menus for the travel agencies and airlines so you can book your complimentary a la cartes through the websites while booking your flight. The entertainment staff are always engaging you in fun. Darts, Baseball, Spanish Lessons, Salsa Lessons, Aqua Fit, Beach Party, Ring Toss, Rum and Wine tasting, and a show every night at the Cabaret and much more... We had a great time and I always return for more. There are many excursions you can book and enjoy. Rent a scooter, take a ride on horse and buggy as well as take the Santa Lucia train throughout Sant a Lucia to view the area. If you want to experience a Cuba Church ask to be taken to the Church in Las Ochentas. They is also the disco for the nightlife. I hope everyone has a great vacation as I do every time I return.

Rooms are great. Food very goods ( strange for Cuba ). Grounds very good. I have stayed in many resorts in Cuba. By far this is the best I have been to. The only negative would be the coffee was not top notch. I do expect this at a Cubain resort

Love going to the ROC..just returned from my 5th visit and planning on returning in the fall.The staff as always make you feel welcome and remember you with big hugs.The grounds are kept clean and the food is good..always something to choose from.Beach is clean and lots of loungers.Many many repeat guests come here...can't wait to return :)

Clean, friendly and honestly one of the best vacations I’ve ever had at Brisas! Entertainment staff was so energetic and got everyone involved, my second trip to this resort and once again I am blown away!

This is my third time to Cuba and clearly the third time's the charm. This is a small-medium resort, very well kept with a large, modern and beautiful junior suite, good food, beautiful beach and incredible staff. One word of warning, though. The water has many crabs and hard, spiky sea urchins hiding in the sea grass. I would bring water shoes if you don't want to be pierced or have your toes pinched. Big shout-out to Reynaldo, the resort's customer service rep who went above and beyond for us. If you decide to choose this resort, he is partial to small gifts of Werther's candies, Nutella and chocolate of any kind. :)

Really enjoyed the stay at ROC Santa Lucia. The staff were great, especially Pluto. The pool bar was a mainstay for the people I was there with for the week. Beautiful beach for morning walks or relaxing on the beach. Food was good. The hotel is actually better than the 4 star hotel next door. If you have a family, this resort would be great for them and is really cheap for what you receive.

Grounds were kept really clean,buffet was amazing, rooms were really comfortable and clean ,,Beach was fantastic,,staff smilling all the time and animation was soso,,but overall fantastic will go back for sure,,

This was our 8th visit to Cuba, first time to this part of the Island. We have been to Cayo Largo, Cayo Coco, Varadero (5 times) and now here. It is a small resort which isn't a bad thing. We stayed in a junior suite and this was one of the better rooms we have stayed at in Cuba. The grounds were nicely done and kept in pretty good condition. The beach was large and great for our boys to play. The ocean on the other hand wasn't the greatest for us, had lots of sea weed growing in it and visible crabs in it, to the point where we were afraid to let our boys in . The pool was great! probably the cleanest pool I have seen in Cuba. The reason why i love Cuba so much is the people and here again we met some very friendly people who went above and beyond to make our vacation great! We had another very nice family trip! We love Cuba and can't wait to continue visiting other parts of the Island. We will be back here again!

What's best about Brisas? It's the atmosphere. Besides being accommodated to my liking (requested a room close to punto nautico) I enjoyed decent food, clean room and much more. I've been coming to Santa Lucia for years but I found Brisas to be the best. I'll be there in no time. Thanks to all employees at Brisas and see you soon Bobby

We had a wonderful, relaxing time. There is an older crowd at the Roc which we fit into just fine. The beach is beautiful, the food was really, really good. Rooms are clean and the people are kind and work hard. What is not to love?

This was my 3rd time at Brisas. As always great time. Awesome staff, Giovani, Sulie, Rolly, etc. Rooms kept spotless, never missed anything. Already counting down the days to my next return.. nos vemos el año que viene mis amigos ❤

The hotel is very run down and outdated. They have updated a quarter of their rooms and water system however the rest of the rooms are old and outdated. We spent the week with no HOT water at all. The hotel is aware of the issue and when we spoke to the manager they offer you bottles of water and a bottle of wine to compensate for the inconvenience. Food was below standards. Snack bar ran out of French fries and hot dogs for several of the days we were there. The ala carte restaurants served pretty much the same food at both we attended. Service in the restaurants was not good. Some days was none existent. We tried to change our room for 3 days straight and was told the hotel was over booked each and everyday. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone!

This hotel is a 2.5 star hotel. Food is Cuban and basic. The property is kept very clean. Constant attention is given to the grounds and they are always adding little extras too improve the property.. All amenities are central here so you can not get lost and don't need too go far for anything. All of the employees are very helpful and kind. The pool is large and there is a kiddie pool as well. You can get alcoholic drinks until 2:00 AM. 24 hour snacks are not great and there is not a great variety but there is always something too eat. There are local public discos/clubs next door so if you are a light sleeper, bring ear plugs as the music plays until 3 or 4:00 AM every day. I have been close to 40 times and will keep returning because of the low key atmosphere. If you are a foodie and like large elegant rooms, don't go here. You pay for what you get. If you want 5 star, pay the price and go 5 star. This is home away from home. Very quaint hotel.

The resort is older but slowly being upgraded. Everything worked in my room. The water was hot enough each day for a good shower. The pool is clean with plenty of space for everyone. The food is plentiful and decent. The fruits are fresh, the deserts are tasty and fresh as well. The staff is very good and very friendly. However this is typical in Cuba. The people are very humble and happy to be there. The entertainers work hard and do a great job getting people involved and putting on the shows. When you go to Cuba don't have high expectations and you won't be disappointed. It's not been ruined by North American culture. There is always lots to do. Spend time at the beach or go snorkeling or try your luck at Sail surfing. Leave the resort and go back in time. All in all I had a good time and experience again.

Washrooms no toilet seats food was ok staff was excellent entertainment was a blast . The people we met were fun from Canada. Go to cocoa beach horse and buggy ride for sure excellent time ! Beach was grassy at entry but good once yo u got into the water fantastic jumping waves !!

We had a great time, the first room wasn’t what we purchased but they quickly fixed the problem. Staff was great. Food was better then we were expecting. The beach is great. The pool is fun. The overall atmosphere/vibe was great! Just lots of laughs with staff and guests. If you don’t have fun it’s probaby your own fault!!

Nicely appointed resort with great beach. Food was basic with limited choices. I was in building 25 that never had hot water! Stay in single digit buildings, they have been renovated. They have a coffee bar, ice cream bar and four bars.

The beach: it is great white fine sand no stone, not deep for 100 meters long and very warm even in windy condition, many long chairs like new, many palapas and they removed the sea weed on the sand everyday. Hotel: Very clean, the rooms and beds very good, as much hot water you want All the bars are keep clean and fast service with a smile. The pool was supper clean and many long chairs around it with some shade area. The food was good for Cuba.

Pour une famille avec des enfants ou des gens près de la retraite, ça va. Pour des jeunes qui veulent danser et s'amuser sur le resort, ce n'est pas le bon endroit. Plage ok, piscine ok, nourriture ok, chambre ok mais rien de bien. Animation mauvaise autant dans le jour que le soir. Gym en très mauvais état avec peu d'appareils. Plongée très ordinaire. Personnel toutefois très courtois.

The overall grounds and room was fairly clean people hard working,friendly also entertainers was phenomenal so friendly, l would definitely recommend to my friends and family.l would like also to give a big thanks to Sanchez,Lizette ,mishele,Juan Carlos for making our vacation extra special they are just the best. Will be going back for sure.

Great place to put hole into our winter. Great value for price. Beach needs clean up more often, lots of plastic debri and weeds. Friendly staff with special shout out for Santiago for exceptional service and personality.

The resort is nice.The pool amazing .Beach area needs work. With the constant wind, they tried to keep the seaweed to a minimum,but you have to walk through it every morning. They could use some new beach chairs. Food was ok. Certainly didnt go hungry.Always fish and chicken and someone cooking at the fresh grill. Would go back 😄

The room was clean, everything was working properly, but there was no mosquito net on the window. Nutrition is normal, good milk, fish, burgers, but the tea was just mint and linden, there was no black. The sea is shallow, the beach was not always cleaned from sea grass, but perhaps it was useful for natural inhalation, it contains iodine. In the evening there were good concerts, sang and danced professionally, but during the day I would like to rest from music, listen to the silence of the seaside nature. All garden vegetation is well-groomed !!!Thanks administration for the warm welcome! We were pleased with our husband for our 44th anniversary of married life - Angelina & Boris , Canada.

The overall vacation was good, if you do the extra activities. The resort runs well but cut corners here and there. Room - dated and requires fresh paint, newer bathrooms and new mattresses. initial room given was way too small and we've asked to have it replaced. we got a better one but still issues came with the AC and shower. also mattress has been replaced with one in better condition. all issues were taken care of. Food - we have compared it with other hotels on that strip. the food lack some of the basics. I was hoping to see more salads and overall variety which was not there. staff and entertainment - I would give it a solid A. staff was very helpful and dancers and singer were great, people at the bar, Caffe and restaurant.. all good Beach - I would give it a B. Its not for snorkeling. didn't like the massive seaweed which was accumulated over time. it was clean up after a day or so but it needs to be clean up more often. over all, I enjoyed my stay, enjoyed my conversations with the locals and loved the activities (kite surfing, horse back riding and trips) that were much cheaper than other resorts in the caribbeans.

It was our 8th time here. Staff are marvellous. Hotel is just the right size. The only complaint i have is that they often run out of toilet paper. Pool is great, pool bar is awesome. There is a kids pool as well. Beach has lots of chairs available. Always food available, snack bar open 24/7. Entertainment was superb, Roly and Carlitos are soo funny! All staff smile and make you feel welcome. I will def. Return !!

My husband and I arrived Jan 18th to Brisas. The resort is a comfortable and lively place to be. The people who work here are impeccable, everyone made us feel welcome. The food for me and my husband was way more then we expected. Everyday was a different meal and the food was well prepared. We didn’t even need condiments, everything tasted good. The entertainment staff was very creative and very amusing. We made a lot of friends and we are happy to say we can’t wait to go back and meet them all again. The weather was mostly rainy, but that didn’t stop me and my husband from dancing in the rain even if the weather was ankle high. The beach is a bit full of algae but once you get in the water you forget it is even there. Brisas will see more of me and my family.

The Roc this year was to expensive .It showed during the two weeks ,was only about a 100 people both weeks. The only reason we went there was we got a group rate discount. The food this year was super ! The staf as usual were great. Some rooms needed repairs due to the storm but plenty of good rooms available . The tiles around the pool in bad shape and need to be redone. The bar products very poor no high end brands, no tomato juice,no product like Baileys . The beach very clean and well groomed . The exchange rate almost 26 percent .at this rate less tipping for the workers should be a lot lesser so to tip more.overall a good place if the price is lower.

We stayed hear 4 years ago it was a good resort then and there have been some great improvements rooms and air conditioning upgrades lots of towels staff even better food was about the same I found the food good no problems that.entertainment staff interact with guest all day long they made a special cake for my mom's 84th and pampered her.the beach is ok the only thing was the garbage once your off the resort beach such a lovely place and so much garbage.local gov. Could pay locals to walk beach and bag plastic garbage it's a real turn off from a beautiful experience.all in all a great all around resort trip Central is the best

Staff were lovely, very helpful and willing to assist us whenever we needed it. Resort needs a refresh including rooms and pool deck but it was always kept clean. The ala cart and buffet was limited in terms of variety but for the the food was good.

This is my 3rd times at the Brisas, clean resort room excellent the staff is wonderful, the food more average than a lot of resort in Cuba. I will go back for a relaxing and wonderful week , Spanish are the best

The staff are personable and pleasant. This is the third time we’ve gone to Club Amigo Mayanabo, many of the staff recognized us and were glad to see us. The rooms are clean, the housekeeper we had did a great job each day she was cleaning our room. Her days off - her replacement di the bare minimum. Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t the best but it was certainly better than what we left behind.

No surprises. Food could be better and an update would really help. Good enough to recommend. Be aware of luggage handlers in Cuba they look for an excuse to steal like a crack in the suit case that miraculously opened up the zipper and poured out the deodorant and the cologne .
