Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta: Tired and poorly maintained
I was expecting to have a high end experience given the elevated price for the property. The pool areas, including the washroom facilities were tired and not in good repair. At this price point I will pass on this resort and brand in future. Service was great however, no complaints there.

Hyatt Vivid Playa Del Carmen: Some improvements needed
I have stayed at this resort in the past when it was the Hilton and totally loved it. I have noticed a huge decline in the beach as it is no longer swimmable. We purchased a cabana as a upcharge and had great service one day and poor service the next. The dinner buffet was also very hard to find and was a huge disappointment with there being cold and undesirable foods being served.

Secrets La Romana: Amazing Resort
We had an amazing stay at this resort! The property is beautiful, clean, and very well maintained. The room was comfortable, and housekeeping did a fantastic job every day. The beach and pools were gorgeous, with plenty of loungers and crystal-clear water that made it easy to relax for hours. The entertainment team kept the atmosphere fun without being overwhelming, and there were lots of activities available throughout the day. We left feeling refreshed and already talking about our next visit. We would highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a relaxing, beautiful, and worry-free getaway. The only issue we had was the internet disconnection. It lasted for a couple of days and lots of guests pointed this issue out.

Hyatt Vivid Playa Del Carmen: Perfect holiday
We stayed at Hyatt Vivid Playa Del Carmen, the first time in this area of Mexico, and we couldn't have asked for a better holiday. Our room had a view of the pool and the ocean, and we enjoyed the balcony, hammock, and whirlpool tub. Service was excellent from room service to table service. The lobby is a great place to hang out both day and night, and the party continued to the 24-hour bar nearby. The pool and pool festivities were fun to be a part of or just watch. We would definitely recommend this resort and will return next time we travel to Mexico. Servers who stood out at Spice were Jose, Mario, Danial and Demetrio. Umberto in the lobby, Roberto at the pool and Chef Roldofo who made us a specialize vegan dinner and dessert at La Cabano restaurant on our last day.

Hyatt Vivid Playa Del Carmen: A magical stay made unforgettable by exceptional staff
My wife and I had an unforgettable stay at Hyatt Vivid Playa del Carmen. Our beautiful third-floor suite was the best accommodation we have ever experienced. It included an in-room Jacuzzi and a balcony overlooking the pool and ocean, complete with a hammock where we spent hours relaxing in the breeze. The entire resort was immaculate. Staff continuously cleaned and maintained the property—even promptly squeegeeing outdoor walkways after rainfall to help prevent guests from slipping. The pool area was wonderful, and renting cabanas with personalized service made our days feel especially luxurious. Roberto provided outstanding poolside service, always greeted us by name and made sure we had everything we needed. The nightly entertainment in the enormous main lobby was excellent, including dancing, karaoke and other performances. The giant screen was also perfect for watching World Cup matches. Our couples’ massage with Bryan and Emanuel was another highlight; they were both attentive and professional. Humberto was also extremely helpful when arranging our airport transportation. The most memorable part of our visit was the exceptional staff at Spice. José, Mario, Miguel and Demetrio treated us with extraordinary kindness. They even reserved a special table for us with a beautiful tablecloth and flowers. As vegans, our only significant challenge was the limited variety of suitable meals. We often received tortillas with stir-fried vegetables, while breakfast generally consisted of oatmeal with nuts and raisins, along with fruit. The regular menu at La Casona did not contain a vegan option, and the vegan dish at Asiana, although tasty and clearly identified, did not include a meaningful source of plant-based protein. However, José introduced us to the main chef, Rodolfo García, who personally invited us to La Casona and created an extraordinary vegan meal especially for us. It was the finest vegan meal I have ever had and completely redeemed our dining experience. We hope the resort will add some of Chef Rodolfo’s creations and more balanced plant-based proteins to its regular menus. Our only disappointing service experience was at the swim-up bar, where the bartenders were sometimes inattentive and made us feel as though serving us was an inconvenience. This was noticeably different from the warm and personalized service we received almost everywhere else. Despite those areas for improvement, this was a magical vacation. The exceptional accommodations, cleanliness, entertainment and remarkable staff made us feel thoroughly pampered. We would gladly recommend Hyatt Vivid Playa del Carmen and would love to return.

Wyndham Alltra Samana: Peaceful Paradise
I really enjoyed my stay at the resort the staff were very attentive to keeping the grounds, rooms, the buffet etc. very clean. The beach is amazing and the KAA pool bar was a great place to hangout especially the evenings that they allowed the fans from Canada to watch the hockey games very accommodating. If you love quiet and peace this is the resort. The only draw back is the long bus ride to and from the airport but it was agreat way to see the different villages along the way.

Wyndham Alltra Samana: Wonderful Vacation!☺️
Beautiful resort with stunning beach in a cove and 3 different pools. Our room was very clean with comfortable beds, spacious bathroom and hot showers. We also had a beautiful 3rd floor garden view. Food was plentiful and delicious! Excellent choices for breakfast including eggs, bacon, fresh breads, pancakes, French toast, cold cuts, fruits, pastries and smoothies. Buffet also had a great selection for lunch and dinner as well. Japanese, Italian and beach restaurant were also excellent. There is also a great little coffee/pastry shop! (24 hrs) Many activities and nightly entertainment. Several bars on the resort, in the buffet, near pools and on the beach. Lobby area is lovely and breezy, great place to relax! Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta: Hyatt Zina hotel was fantastic
My trip and vacation was great. The weather was hot.l would recommend that inclusive should be clarified who is responsible for shuttle transportation from Puerto Vallarta airport to the hotel and return from hotel to the airport. It was not clear if Airtransat was the shuttle provider since at the arrival No-one was available but likely there were plenty of taxis at the airport. This item should be clarified and organized better.

Hyatt Vivid Playa Del Carmen: I couldn’t ask for anything more!
I have just returned from 8 days at the beautiful Hyatt Vivid and it was fantastic. The hotel made sure that everything was done to make our stay a wonderful experience. Firstly, the staff. They work so hard. The hotel and rooms are spotless. The service in the bars and restaurants are efficient and friendly. The front desk staff are very welcoming and available to answer any questions that we had. There is always a staff member around and available for any questions. The hotel is spotless and very well cared for. It is beautifully laid out and easy to get around. We loved our room. Very spacious, and the bed was so comfortable. There is a great variety of food, all of it delicious and made from delightfully fresh ingredients. We did not ever go hungry or thirsty! I could go on, but I highly recommend, that if you are reading this, you should check it out for yourself. I know I will be back. Many thanks to the Hyatt Vivid team for a truly wonderful vacation!

Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta: Amazing resort
This was an incredible vacation with my adult children and their spouses. My room was perfect, large, comfortable bed and I could hear the sound of the waves hitting the beach when I was in bed at night. There were five different restaurants all serving great meals and the buffet where we ate breakfast and lunch had a variety of delicious foods. Plenty of pool areas and a clean beautiful beach. The evenings entertainment was good and all the staff were friendly and helpful.

Wyndham Alltra Samana: Good enough
Review of Wyndham Alltra Samana Location - It is a long way from the airport. Expect close to 2 hours depending on how many other resorts the bus stops at (our’s only stopped at one other). The flights leaving Toronto 2:30 will get to the resort by about 10 . We were told by others we would get a ham sandwich upon arrival since all the restaurants are closed at 10. However, we were able to grab a few leftovers from the buffet. Tip – go to the washroom before you leave the airport. • Rooms – quite lovely, modern, well laid out, shower is huge with rainhead shower head plus a hand held. Can’t comment on their shampoo/conditioner since I brought my own. They do give you lots of nice fluffy towels, including facecloths and toilet paper. To the point where they rarely had to restock. I liked that. AC works well. Sliding door actually is newish and works well. Enough storage. Room (premium) had no hairdryer, robe or umbrella. Front desk gave us a hairdryer. We were in building 7, close to beach and premium pool. 10 minute walk to buffet & restaurants. • Staff – nice but very little English. • Beach – lovely, random few rocks in first couple feet but don’t really need water shoes. Very little shade; if you must have, purchase and bring shade umbrellas from Amazon. Grassy area is nice if you don’t want sand in everything and much more personal space. On the sandy part, you may find others plunking down in your personal space. That was unpleasant and rude. • Pool – we only went in Premium pool twice – it is nice. The main pool looked nice too. • Drinks/bars – mixed drinks were awful – made with syrups which were gross. Skip them if you can. For us, the main drawback of the resort is no nice bar to relax after dinner. All evening activities, such as they were, are held at a brightly lit open bar by the main pool with plastic chairs. Entertainment is basically zero, with a DJ playing music backed up with the sound of plastic chairs scraping on the floor. • Snack bar on beach – great hamburgers, pizzas etc but expect 45 minutes to 1 hour wait. Quite disorganized. And really busy – usually few available tables. • Las Galeras -nice enough little town but not touristy at all. Small grocery stores etc. • Bonus – horses on property next door. Lovely. • Overall, nice but not enough to do the long transfers to/from airport and the food not great.

Hyatt Vivid Playa Del Carmen: Hyatt vivid playa del Carmen
I liked our room, ground floor, garden view. Resort seemed dated . We were at the same resort 15 years ago and loved it. Not much had changed but food was a lot worse. But hyatt food left a lot to be desired. The Mexican restaurant was inedible and the staff did little to fix it. The other restaurants we better, the staff was always helpful and friendly. There was a sewer smell that wafted through the resort most days. I don't think it is a five star at all. Maybe a 4 star. Small point but their sheets were old and pilled. Really bugged me. The pool area got very loud and drunk by the afternoon. You have to rent the pool side beds for 150.00 usd.i thought that was outrageous!

Secrets La Romana: Amazing Resort
This resort was fantastic! The staff were very friendly and helpful. You were made to feel special from the moment we arrived until we departed. Our room was beautiful. We had a private patio and swim up pool. The food was amazing. We visited the Japanese restaurant twice for the hibachi dinner which was excellent. The buffet had lots of variety along with fresh fish and salads. We were booked in the Preferred Club which gave you access to a lovely snack area. There also was a cafe offering cappuccinos, espresso and fresh desserts and pastries. The only negative I can mention is the Preferred Club beach which was too small for the amount of lounge chairs and people, making it very crowded. The pool area was very nice and less people so we tended to hang there instead.

Wyndham Alltra Samana: Wonderful experience but few things to fix
The hotel is nice, clean, well maintained in the outdoors, beach and pools are pretty good, chairs in the beach are available in good quantities, enjoyable place to stay. And the personnel was fantastic, front desk, doorbell, housekeeping, buffet service, all personnel was so kind. However, the hotel management needs to take care of few services, some rooms have the shower manifold inverted and the hot water is difficult to come out. Also, and this is critical, after 10:30pm there is not a single option opened for food, this is a big issue, they need to create an option for food that last longer, it is not acceptable to have a food blackout from 10:30pm until next morning at 7:30am!!! Same for coffee and hot tea, they can set a coffee machine as the one around the hotel, in the lobby that works all fay around, or at least during the blackout period. Another big issue, the a la carte restaurants need to improve, it is not acceptable to wait 2hrs plus to eat in a restaurant that does not accept reservations, lack of personnel was evident, just 4 workers to attend all the floor, there was tables waiting to be set for more than an hour and a big group of customers waiting in the lobby to be sit inside.

Hyatt Vivid Playa Del Carmen: Experience Real Mexico
I travelled solo during the second week of Oct/25 to Hyatt Vivid PDC. It was my first time in PDC - the drive from the airport is certainly worth it if you want to be steps away from 5th avenue and some really great food from what I've heard. I myself stayed on the resort, which was nice and gave very much Spanish vibes. Loved the hot tub in the room as well as the room service as it was nice to not have to go to dinner or to get breakfast. The food itself wasn't top tier, but it was alright - I found things that I enjoyed and sticked with them (quesadillas and shrimp cocktail). This resort certainly isn't great for beach lovers as there's only about a couple feel of beach before the ocean. I wish there were more shade at the pool! All of the chairs had sun blockers attached and there were some umbrellas, but everyone struggled to find shade and the resort was no where near capacity. Jose at the pool was always prompt to come around every 15 mins or so to ask for drink orders. He was super appreciative of tips and recognized me, which was nice. I always find it interesting to see how solo travellers are treated - this trip I felt a little ignored, no welcome drink, was told to find my room on my own and my bag would be brought to me, delay on being served at restaurants, but in all, service was good and there were no issues. Private transportation was great. I felt 100% safe as a woman travelling alone and enjoyed my trip!

Hyatt Vivid Playa Del Carmen: There is a chance that it will meet your expectations
The resort itself is beautiful and clean and our room was really nice and spacious. It is only advertised as all-inclusive resort but the number of things you need to pay extra for is ridiculous. If you want to have some shade, you need to pay for cabana ($200 per day). If no, there are no even umbrellas. Not what you expect from a high end resort (at least, that's how they are positioning themselves). It is advertised that this resort has 7 restaurants. The reality is disappointing. To eat in one of them (Chef's plate) you will have to pay extra. The buffet is not open for dinner at all. Pelicanos was closed due to renovations. So, basically all of the time you have two restaurant open. The best one is Asiana, all others are mediocre. Food is greasy and smells burnt oil. During lunch time food is warm at best. All the time restaurant's manager tries to sell you something like themed dinner. I need to admit that Aromas (coffee shop) is amazing and ladies there are very friendly and nice. Loved this place! They tell that Dolma is a top choice restaurant but they serve they street food pretending it is something special. Right during checking in we were suggested to pay for room upgrade ($60 USD per night) to have ocean view. Not the room that facing directly to the ocean but the building a little bit closer to the ocean and to see it you will have still to go to the balcony and look to the right (or left depending on the room location) to see it. Not worth it. After that we made one and only offer to book day at the spa for $250 (including massage) for two people. I do not know if they fully understand how marketing works but for me to buy it, it should be cheaper than at home. Otherwise, I will go to the place and the therapist I am 100% sure in. No small toiletries (like Q-tips or cotton rounds) in the bathroom.

Dreams Rose Hall: Excellent Customer Service
The Resort was very clean. The food was excellent. The staff are very helpful and have fantastic customer service. The nightly entertainment was ok. Was expecting a little more than a jazz band every night. The curious show was good, they needed more of that kind of entertainment. Our room was basic, could have used a makeup table instead of a desk. We found not enough room for bathroom stuff on the sink area, made it look cluttered. The view from our room was spot on, we could see the ocean as well as the pool and bar area. We had a few issues with our water in the shower but once brought to the hotels attention they fixed it. My only major complaint is check in. We stood in line for over an hour and half to get a room. That is not acceptable! People were getting frustrated and cutting the line. If there was is an issue with the rooms not being ready, check people in and let them enjoy the resort, they can go back to front desk to get a room assigned with in a hour or two. Or bring more maids on. We will not go back to this resort, only because we decided we prefer a place with no children. This resort is great for family’s.

Dreams Puerto Morelos Resort and Spa: Do Not Mistake This Property for a Beachfront Hotel
Full disclosure: Do yourself a favour and do not read the negative posts on this property! Some people look for faults instead of enjoying the blessings that they are surrounded by. We are a middle age couple that enjoys everything about Mexico. The climate, the service and the food. This resort had all of it including a well maintained property and large, clean rooms. From the moment we arrived, the service we received was second to none. From the bell hops, the front desk staff, the cleaning staff, the servers, and everyone else that works so hard to make your stay a special one. The property is smaller that others we have visited and all amentities are within a short walk. The resort has a number of pools and chairs for everyone. The grounds are very well kept and the staff are present, always keeping things in tip top shape. The Roots coffee shop is a favourite for coffee, ice cream and pastries. The food is great! There are unlimited ala carte restaurants with options such as Mexican, French, Italian and Japanese as well as a breakfast, dinner and supper buffet. Our room (5111), was always kept clean and towels and toiletries were replenished daily. As well as the in room bar fridge that included beer, sodas and water. There is also a Nespresso coffee machine with pods. We would return to this resort in a heartbeat! The quality and service was amongst the best we’ve had I can’t stress this enough! If you are a beach person, this resort is not for you. You have been warned! Don’t get there and complain the whole week. No one wants to listen to you! Spent a week in PV after not being there in 20yrs. The bus transfer went smoothly and the staff and driver were excellent. The bed and linens were comfortable and clean every day. The A La Carte restaurants were all fantastic and the wine flowed freely. The buffet and staff were very good and the selection was excellent. We did however have some bad timing with some outdoor renovations and a few days of jackhammering. We did not spend as much time in the pools as we normally would as the water temperature was pretty chilly for most of the guests. Kevin at Trip Central said it was a solid 4 star property and we would completely agree. Just a heads up if you’re looking to party and play games around the pool, this is not the place to book. We were there to take in the sunshine and enjoy the beautiful sunsets and it definitely happened. Worth the money and worth the time!

We spent 2 weeks at the Alltra, We did book the Clubroom Junior Suite Ocean View King on the 6th floor, the view was great could see for miles, The room was large very good bed and quiet, the A/C worked good, The club is worth booking as they have hot meals 3 times daily and great salads, coffee and all drinks , and bottled water whenever you wanted, also you can book the restaurants with the concierge on the 7th floor, and check in and check out without ever having to line up. The food at the resort was great , drinks were good ,Dos Equis beer on tap, The staff and service was amazing everyone working at the resort seemed happy. We did have a few minor problems with the room the first day and the maintenance department were on it within minutes. Bars and Paradise Mall is within walking distance and if not Uber or taxi is a short wait. Pools are good and good shade from the trees and the south side of the Condo buildings on the property, beach is quite large. The Sunset and Lobby bar do need to have more seating as it is couches in the lobby for now, but I think this will change as most customers let there concerns known in a meet and greet optional meeting. We did tour neighboring resorts and for the price point the Alltra is good.

Everything was top quality. The staff very friendly greeting you with an Ohla and a touch right hand to their heart. People play the stupid towel game and you’ll need to be at the beach/pool by 7 to play. Som towels won’t move till noon. Security should remove after one hr. We found the beach very busy with lounge chairs. Too many people for size of beach. ENCLAVE; Y or N ? We had and there are specific places in the beach or pools that indicate Enclave Only. But we were never checked. I guess someone complained and the last day, we were asked our room number. As far a a room, we had 7107. I’d say the best of the resort. TOTALLY PRIVATE. No one walking by, backs onto greenway and edge of resort. Be naked on patio if you’d like. Very quiet. 6 USB charging plugs. Food was good. Many items ordered was not what is expected. Like fried breaded chicken pieces in a Caesar salad. Lamb was very good. Adult section is better, no kids running up and down lobby area. Tennis and pickleball could use more exposure. The location is not even on resort map. Good gym. Would certainly recommend but would not return, mainly because of the small beach. Don’t waste your time snorkelling.

Dreams Rose Hall: I loved the resort
Everyone was so friendly and helpful! Over the week learned our names, we had such a great time. Clean rooms, our room had a beautiful ocean view which was absolutely beautiful. The beach was well maintained , we had so much fun in the lazy river. We did an excursion and the hospitality was exceptional. I would definitely come back.

Wyndham Alltra Playa del Carmen: Amazing Resort
This hotel was awesome! Very clean, the best customer service and the food was delicious. There isn’t really a beach in the property. However, there is a public beach beside it. I prefer the pool and loved it. Everyday there were activities going on at the pool and every night there was entertainment. The staff were amazing. Very helpful and friendly. It was very close to the markets and bars etc. We were able to walk around each night with no worries.

This hotel, pools/grounds was absolutely amazing! We were a family of 8 (3 daughters with husband/boyfriends). We had the absolute best time and made so many memories. We knew the beach wasn't the best before going and we were ok with that as we are more pool people anyways and this resort has 9 amazing pools! The food, staff, entertainment were all excellent!!

This hotel lived up to the recommendation and descriptions of our Tripcentral agent Jairus Maus. The resort was amazing, the staff were so friendly and warming. The lazy river and the bartenders at the pool bar had to be one of the highlights of our trip! The beach was murky but we didn't spend alot of time there so didn't bother us. We absolutely will be coming back just flying with a different company as that was the worst experience ever coming home..

Fiesta Americana Riviera Nayarit: very nice resort
Hotel was great the staff was spot on.. Didn't know about the condo owners there until we got there.. there were rules as to not upset the owners. Security by the pools was a bit un-nerving,, looking restless ,, also bored so bothering guests for anything,, not allowed to play your own music ,, must keep low voices and shows are quite low keyed,, Ala cartes were in my taste very disappointing,, we tried the Italian one night and no pizza that one time as I heard it was to best part there and fettuccini noodles were very hard,, and we tried the Grill on Valentines day thinking that we could buy a steak on the side separately from a different menu as we read this before going,, but no such thing.. food was so so ,, buffet was good every day no complaints there.. I give this hotel a 5 out of 10

Wyndham Alltra Playa del Carmen: Not all it’s cracked up to be
We did enjoy our stay but it was not the same as it was 2 yrs ago The food in the buffet was recycled every single day from dinner to breakfast from breakfast to lunch and lunch to dinner Same crap every day . The only restaurant we went to was Brasso steak house The steak was good but way under cooked and had to send it back As for smokers there is no designated area on the street in front of hotel no chairs or benches and no ashtrays They made us feel like criminals I found the staff was not as welcoming as our previous time except for Lydia at the coffee shop still amazing lady Wait staff was horrible stacks of plates before they would pick it up and we were great tippers , and the beach sucks If you just want to lay on a cot the water was rocky and slimy I would recommend going else where When our flight got delayed they said have a nice day but we have no room for you they need to take a lesson from the staff and cooks at the moon palace where Sunwing sent us because of a 2 day delay , they sure do know how to cook and treat people, the wait staff would bend over backwards for you

Dreams Rose Hall: Amazing Resort in Montego Bay, Jamaica!!!!
We had an amazing time at this Resort! The pool was incredible! It had a lazy river & a big slide. We had so much fun and were in the water most of the time. The workers were friendly & easy to understand as they spoke English. The food was very good. Our Air Transat representative was hardly at the resort. She had set up a first meeting for the next day at 2:00 and did not show up. We had to call her & finally showed up and told us I am not that late!!! The beach was small & not as nice as some of the other beaches I have been to. The weather was very nice but windy all the time. I would return to this Resort as I loved the Lazy River & the slide!!

The resort closed and was sold before we could stay there this time. We were refunded and booked at another resort. We are anxiously awaiting a new resort to open at these locations so we can possibly book there again.

Seadust Cancun Beach Resort: OK Resort if the price is low
We have been going to this resort for the past 14 years. It was at its best back then when it was called the Great Parnassus. It has gone through a few ownership changes since then and the quality has steadily declined since. When we first started going there it was a 3.5 star and we thought it should be a 4.5 or even a 5. Now it truly should be a 3 star. There are still a lot of good things about this resort but only if the price is lower. It is a very large resort with a lot of people and no where near enough beach chairs to go around. Every year we go there seems to be fewer and fewer and this last time hardly any. They used to have a great adult pool area with additional chairs, two hot tubs, and no kids allowed. They have changed this to allow only people that have signed up for the time share program. This was a disappointment for us as our kids are grown up now and we continued to go to this resort as the adult pool was a high point. The food quality and variety is ok but again has declined over the years. The steak house used to have lots of options and was very good. Now there are few options and it is mediocre. You can pay out of pocket however and have an upgraded meal. This seems to be the theme of this resort now. Pay extra for things to be better or sign up for a time share to get better treatment and access to the whole resort. The staff there is the high point especially service on the the beach. The service staff is amazing. Although we probably will not go back for a tenth visit. I would recommend this place conditionally. If you can get it on sale for a 3 star price, then you will have a nice time there. If not then I would suggest trying somewhere else. I suggest to the resort to speak to the previous owners and try to restore it to its past glory. Beach - beautiful, great service, hardly any chairs - get one by 06:30 or you won't Pool - typical, very loud, lots of kids, lots of birds, slow service due to large area, - get a chair by 7:00 Service - great Food - good, less variety than other resorts, a la carts are easy to go to but not great quality Rooms - dated but nice, upgrade to the ocean view suite if the price is right it will be worth it Value - we got it for a very good deal, as long as you find a deal on it it will be worth it Location - perfect location

Dreams Puerto Morelos Resort and Spa: Pleasantly surprised
We stayed at the Hyatt Ziva Riviera Cancun in January 2025. After reading a number of bad reviews I regretted our booking however, we were pleasantly surprised at how much we enjoyed this resort. Pro's-location is just 30 minutes from airport, hotel is a perfect size if you have small children or mobility issues, food was excellent, staff were some of the nicest we have encountered in all of our travel, pools were plentiful and they had good lounge chairs, you could get as many beach towels as you wanted, no bracelets required, no reservations required, good brand liquor including canadian whiskey, rooms were a very good size and beds were comfortable, plenty of drinks in the mini fridge, good nightly entertainment, check in and out very easy, Con's-beach is not the best. You can sit on it but because of erosion, it is small. All but main pool was cold and not enough umbrellas, they could use about 100 more around the resort pools. A pro was no reservations for restaurants but if it was full you had to stand in line, they need to get those vibrating pucks to let you know when a table is ready so you can go and sit by the bar while waiting. The road to the resort is ridiculously bad but has been for many many years. We found the dinner buffet very limited however the breakfast buffet was great. They have had some very bad reviews in the past and we could see that they took them seriously and have worked hard to fix those issues. I would not hesitate to recommend this resort.

Fiesta Americana Riviera Nayarit: First time at a Wyndham Alltra Resort!
I can safely say I enjoyed the week here at this resort. The food was excellent, the service was fantastic and the value for dollars was about right! The location was perfect and felt safe even off the resort. Puerto Vallarta was a mere 455 pesos by taxi away where we spent a day exploring. The beach was long, walkable, soft sand, ocean was swimmable, whales providing a show as did a small delegation of baby turtles trying to get to the ocean after hatching! A very cool experience!

Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana: Very clean resort
This resort was extremely clean. Never seen one bug which is surprising due to the extremely hot and humid climate. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. In particular Patricio from the Waves restaurant went out of his way to make sure our holiday was enjoyable. At the pool, the servers were very accomadating especially Solanji, she was always greeting us with a smile. The only complaint was the decaf coffee at the buffet was INSTANT COFFEE and since I cant drink caffeinated coffee, I had to drink water or juice. They need to brew decaf in the morning. We had to go to the lobby after eating to get a decaf coffee which was delicious but it would have been nice to drink coffee WITH breakfast. All in all it was a good holiday!

Hyatt Vivid Playa Del Carmen: Bed bugs (according to the Dr)
First, we have stayed at this Hilton before and the front line staff (housekeeping, entertainment, groundskeeping, maintenance, service) are outstanding - always very friendly and helpful and the location is also excellent. Unfortunately we had a very poor experience. A few days into our stay I noticed a few bites on my lower legs, I didn't think anything of it and then a few more days went by with more bites and I decided to get some "after bite" thinking it was mosquito's or something. It progressively got worse - By day 5 we were both getting bites and by days 6 we were covered by about 40 bites mostly on the lower legs and the itchiness was awful. During one of our walks we noticed a local 24hr Dr's office and decided to go have it looked at - we didnt say where we were staying or what we thought they were - without hesitation the Dr said Bed Bugs..we said are you sure, he said yes. When this was brought to managements attention (3 different managers), the first one immediately said we didn't follow their reporting protocol and even suggested we brought the bed bugs in our luggage, the other two were basically repeating the same response or saying nothing at all - there was no dialogue, they just listened and nodded (not sure why the second two even asked to speak to us). We tried to show each of them all the bites on our legs and they wouldn't even look....I showed the Dr's medical report, the prescriptions (Celestamine and Ivermectina) and the receipt for the Dr's visit. Not once did they even say we are sorry this happened or how can we help, it was all about not acknowledging the problem. We even offered to see their Dr and give them our luggage but they said no. They did switch our room (it was the last night) and when I asked if they were fumigating the room we stayed in they wouldn't answer except to say they are following protocol. I am not posting the pictures of the bites or Dr's report or Managers names but we have everything if anyone at the Hilton cares. We don't know if this is an isolated occurrence but to be so easily dismissed and actually blamed at what we believed was a very nice hotel is extremely disappointing. Fortunately there are many other options in the area to consider for our next visit. Good luck if you stay at the Hilton PDC

Just got back from this resort, I had an awesome stay, staff were friendly, room was clean, food was decent. I’m very fussy with food, but I always found something to eat. We were very happy with our stay at the Jewel Grande Resort and Spa. The staff were amazing for our week there. The beach was kept very clean. The ocean was shallow in areas (nice for children). We were always able to get Palapas or loungers at any time. The pools were very nice and not crowded (no problem to get beach towels ). Bar service was the best. The steakhouse was amazing food. The 2 coffee shops on site were very good. Buffet for breakfast and lunch had lots of options and a great view. Jerk chicken on the beach was awesome. Our room with patio was nice and roomy and mini bar stocked every day ( no hot water or towel issues) . The grounds were immaculate and very beautiful. Seadust Cancun Beach Resort: Perfect for young families
We recently went on a week long trip to the SeaDust Family Resort. This resort was on a beautiful white sand beach (no seaweed or rocks - pristine). The rooms were nearly sound proof which was essential for travelling with a baby and toddler. There was a buffet that had decent food and options but the real star of this resort was the “Cactus” lounge which offered “healthy grab and go” foods as well as a self serve coffee/cappuccino bar that we could access 24/7, which again was very helpful when travelling with young children who woke up very early. Another positive about this resort was its proximity to the airport (20 minute drive), again great for traveling with young kids. I’d say the con of this resort was the cold pool water and the often times very rough and dangerous ocean. For our week long stay the beach had red flags for the duration, marking a dangerous undertow. Overall, my family will certainly be returning to the resort!

Fiesta Americana Riviera Nayarit: Nice but needs some work
The resort in general was clean. The staff were fantastic!! Drinks were always made fast and staff remembered you. Hotel in great location. Food choices were OK, always very hot and plentiful. Repetative throughout the week. I would say overall food was 6/10. A La carte were great but very very hard to get into. Always “booked” but empty when you went. Kids had no problem finding lots to eat. Issue was there was no snacks or restaurants open at different parts of day, no food or drinks near the pool. No food at all brought outside the restaurant. Kids could have used some afternoon snacks. The rooms needed some TLC. Our glass shower door was hanging on by one loose screw, did not close and leaked our sink faucets were not attached and leaked as well. Towels were always minimal even pool towels were difficult to get some days. Staff very strict about kids playing in the pool even though it was empty. Not able to sit with feet in water and have a drink. Beach was nice. Busy and times but overall great for waves and some creatures.

Hyatt Vivid Playa Del Carmen: Staff are awesome
The staff are super friendly cant do enough for you. Resort is clean and beautiful. Beach is rocky. Pools are big, however the swim up bar is small and out of the way of the main pool and unless you are renting a very expensive cabana it is very hard to find chairs when busy. Even though lack of swim up bar the servers are fast. entertainment team was very good, shows at night are lacking but good. Food is very good and so is room service. We had no hot water 3 days but they were quick to come and fix it. Proximity to 5th avenue was great. Although a nice hotel it is over priced for what is offered in my opinion and will not return, I prefer more jungle so this was a great change for what we wanted this time around. Housekeeping was wonderful and the fridge was stocked and snacks provided every day. Most of the staff were friendly. Some didn't seem too happy to be working there. Dreams Rose Hall: Not impressed
I would unfortunately not return to this hotel. Sunwing provided me with a room that faced a construction site, there were always five men outside of my balcony working so I did not get to use it comfortably. The bathroom was dated and did not even have a bathroom fan. The first day I entered the resort I was guilted into attending a meeting that took 3.5 hours away of my Vacation time. They were asking my family to invest 40k this week into the hotel. The food was hit or miss. There was garbage and seaweed all over the sand of the beach area ( no one cleaned it, I saw the same garbage for the entire week) and the beach itself was filled with gross seaweed touching your legs and feet. They also have a sign suggesting people wear water shoes and they have sea urchins. Some areas of the hotel are freezing and yet I heard everyone say their air conditioning doesn’t work at night (including mine) Not sure what’s going on there. The accessibility rooms do not have a walk in shower you still need someone to lift you into a tub. There were pilllows randomly around the hotel due to leaks and paying an additional $40 usd to attend the three palms restaurant was not worth it and should have been included at no extra cost. On the bright side, the staff are wonderful. Simply amazing.

Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana: Beautiful Location, Great Service.... Food Mediocre.
I will start out by saying the resort is Beautiful and the grounds are spotless! Staff are extremely hard working and go above and beyond to make sure you are happy. Could not be happier with the way we were treated here. I will break down everything below in categories. Rooms : Rooms are pretty typical for a Caribbean room. Beautiful and clean. However they may be ageing and starting to have some issues. We had troubles with our first room. The AC didn't work, sink was clogged, toilet paper wall hanger was constantly falling off the wall, Phone didn't work and the front door wouldn't latch closed (security issue). After a couple days of dealing with these things we requested a room change. They promptly switched us over and the second room was much better...Also the resort seems to have a master control over the temperature you set in your room. We wanted to be 21-22 degrees. The room never got cooler then 25.5 degrees. Sometimes it would go as high as 28 degrees! This was the same in Both rooms we stayed (different buildings). So we were disappointed with this and the more we read into things it does seem the resort restricts the temperature. Also we were unaware that they do not flush toilet paper here. It is placed into a can beside the toilet... Should have been some kind of warning or notice in advance. Did not enjoy this. All that said, the rooms were nice and beds were comfortable. The cleaning staff were great. 4/5 for the rooms. Service : Excellent Service. We felt like we were being specially cared for the entire stay. Staff were attentive and Happy! 5/5 Stars for sure on Service. Food : Food was mediocre. They present the food well... But if you are a Foodie (like Me) you may be underwhelmed. The Buffet is what you would expect but has very little meat. You can go to a station and they will cook some for you but it is low quality and not plentiful. Meal portions when you dine in the restaurants are Very Small. Appetizers are literally 1-2 bites... no joke, 1-2 bites. Main course was actually tasty but also very small portions. Most resorts I have been to are better laid out and have more locations for you to grab a burger or finger foods... there was 1 hut on the beach that nobody noticed. it was hidden behind bushes. Apart from that you were waiting for the main dining halls to open. Also i have a 5 year old son... they had almost no "North American" style kids meals on the menu. Burgers, hot tugs, french fries and chicken nuggets had to be asked for as they were not on the menu anywhere. Also would have been nice to have an Ice Cream station accessible for the Kids. Never found one outside of the single machine in the buffet. 2.5/5 Stars Shopping : As always on the resort shopping is TOO EXPENSIVE. Do not buy Cigars here as you can buy 5x the amount just outside for the same price. High pressure as expected. The staff would always say "Im not here tomorrow, you have to buy today from me"... But you would stop by the next day and magically they were still at work. As a Retail Store owner i do not like this behavior. Off site shopping.. We took the shuttles provided as we wanted to do some "authentic shopping" as we were searching for souvenirs. We explained several times what we wanted and were told to take the provided shuttle at "such and such a time". They took us to a large modern mall... many of the stored were what you would see in Canada or the USA... was not worth it. There is a market a short walk up the road... but they are also jacking prices sky high and are difficult to negotiate with. It is however located beside a police station so is quite safe. Lots of clothes and trinkets available but be prepared to negotiate HARD. They tried to sell me a cheap Ball Hat for $50 usd. This would be $10-12 at most markets. Eventually he starts lowering his prices and following me around. ends up at $20 as im leaving and i still declined because i didn't like the tactics. Bought nothing here because all the shops were the same. 2.5/5 stars Fishing... We took a charter. They seem to all use a central booking service. the resort offered a package at 50-60% higher then you could get elsewhere. We paid $450 for a 4 hour tour. depending on boat expect $500-$600 if you want to troll for sport fish (marlin, Tuna, Sailfish, mahi mahi etc). Fishing was excellent however water is quite rough. The location of punta cana makes it so water will never be calm. if you ever get sea sick avoid this. 4.5/5 stars Overall experience was 3.5/5 . Pros - Staff was Excellent, Beautiful Grounds, Decent Kids program. Cons - Food was mediocre at best, Shopping is too commercialized and expensive. Should have been warned about washrooms.

Beach area was with fine sand, natural and manmade shades. Water quite nice, yet had to go around seaweeds, although attempted to be removed often. Dreams Rose Hall: Amazing resort!
The resort was beautiful, had numerous restaurant options as well as wide buffet variety. Servers always provided a smile and lovely service. Daily games and activites for the family by the pool, hosted by the entertainment krew. Jordan, Kevesha, Shenai and Zo were great game hosts and always kept the energy high and fun. Check-in and check-out was fast and smooth, had amazing service with Sarahfina at the front desk. She provided complimentary birthday package surprise for both my children. Overall, great experience, would definitely recommend it and will be going back next year!

Sunscape Cancun Resort and Spa: Good value
Small Resort - no pool for adults. Beach was nice and great service. Some poor operations - alot of small issues that could easily be fixed to improve resort. Buffet was not the best. Very unorganized. Restaurants were good. Some areas or the resort had amazing service and some areas had poor service. Rooms were nice and cleaning staff did a great job. For the price that I paid it was a great value but I wouldn't pay any more.

Sunscape Cancun Resort and Spa: Great resort for the money
Rooms are a little dated but very clean and well maintained. Staff and service was excellent! Food was very good and lots of variety. Beach was beautiful and clean, however they could use more beach loungers and umbrellas. The pool is quite small for a resort of this size as well. Great experience overall and good value.

Jewel Paradise Cove: Pricey
This resort is a great size and everything is accessible and walkable. Staff was kind and attentive. I do think this resort is a bit pricier for the overall value it is an older resort so rooms were a bit dated and entertainment and restaurant options were limited.

Sunscape Cancun Resort and Spa: Amazing staff and beach
Can’t say enough about how great the staff are. The beach was awesome. The Italian restaurant had a great menu and was delicious. The main pool was disappointing and small. I am a beach bum so it didn't bother me. Rooms were clean.

Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana: 5 Day Getaway
We had a great 5 day Getaway to Jewel Palm that was booked last minute without much research on the resort. We were pleasantly suprised at how much we enjoyed it. Pro's: Check in was quick and we were able to get our room 3.5 hours early. Check Out was great, we managed to ask and get a 5PM checkout to meet our requirements which allowed us to enjoy the resort longer Buffet was very good for Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner. Two Palm's Grill was our favorite place for Breakfast/Lunch. Service was excellent everywhere on the resort. Beach is magnificent; warm sandy bottomed swimming area. Shower Pressure was 10/10 with lots of hot water. Pools were clean and close to the beach/restaurant. Cons: Room is dated. It didn't discourage us. Everything was operational AC was working but didn't quite get the room as cool as we would like but certainly low enough to be comfortable 20-21 degrees. We would return to this resort for the same price range in which we paid this trip. It is a smaller resort, so you would need to not go back to back but a great 5 day trip

Jewel Paradise Cove: Smaller, friendly, perfect
The staff at the Jewel is the selling point for this resort. You will always see a smile and get a hello everywhere you go. The Jewel is on the smaller side but with all the amenities of a large resort! The food at all of the restaurants, buffet, and beach side jerk hut is delicious. Make sure you try Janice’s ladder challenge (especially #5!) Terry-Ann is your go to lady on the beach and if you’re lucky you can catch some of her dance moves in the evening by the main bar. Definitely recommend for fun and relaxation. I am sure we will be visiting the Jewel again.

Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana: Beautiful resort
Room dated particularly shower and sink area but it was clean! Nice terrace pools nice private beach with service was great. Chair hogs a bit frustrarting Loved no tickets for towels. Food good and lots of variety. Club well worth it. Loved the appetizers available for club members who are not big eaters. We used that for some meals. Premium alcohol was bonus. Staff Friendly/helpful Wish entertainment had been earlier. Garbage along the highway on route to hotel was disgusting. Must have BOOK IN LOBBY with departure info. Sunwing rep was not in designated spot between 10 - 5 which we were told would be . Resulted in a bit of anx. No issues with any staff at resort. Went out of there way to accommodate Definitely would return Good value for $$ overall very pleased wish there had been ice machines on each floor. Resort staff were excellent. Beach workers worked diligently to rove saragussom. Kudos to them. We had a restful pleasant time at Jewel Palm beach. Champaign from Sunwing rep was a sweet and pleasant surprise Made us feel special.

Hyatt Zilara Riviera Maya: Below average
I have been to this hotel twice the last 6 months. From the first time I visited till my recent visit the hotel has changed management. The change has not been for the better. The Hyatt group should bring it back up to Secrets standards. Will not return again.
